I had such a great experience picking out my frames for new glasses with Tracie. There’s a great selection of designer frames to pick from, they accept most major vision insurance plans, all Opticians are knowledgeable, competent and friendly. I am pleased with my visit and plan to come back when time comes to renew my prescription. Plan to wait for 15 minutes or make an appointment over the phone though as it’s a pretty busy location.
Had an excellent Dr, Shepplan. Ive been seen by him yrs ago so nice to have him as my eye doctor again!! Karen went above and beyond to help me with my newest pair of glasses!!
The optician is fantastic and the people that work there are good. Place is small and selection is limited so shopping for glasses can be hectic.
This was hands-down the best eye doctor I have ever seen! She spent so much time walking me through my results, coaching me on how to wear contacts, and answering any questions I had. I learned more in one visit about my eyes than in years of seeing other eyes doctors!
Appointment for exam was 30 minutes past appointment time. My glasses were supposed to be ready on the 20th. I have had to call twice just to try to find out what is going on and when I will get my glasses only to be told maybe they will be in tomorrow or the next day. Time for a new Optical office. After all of this my new glasses were horrible couldn’t read for any real length of time because I was having to squint to read and it started making my eyes hurt and giving me headaches. Took them back today with a new prescription let’s hope this time it’s right.
The Dr was amazing! And we had a great experience with everyone at the store.
Great customer service and experience! Will definitely be back for my next pair of glasses
I love this office. I’ve been Dr. Ton’s patient for years. Dr. Ton he is very acknowledgeable, good listener, and professional. The staff is extremely kind and patient in helping you find a pair of glasses for you. I highly recommend.
Exceptional service and products from target optical in Sanford Florida. My tech was there when I place the order and also when I picked it up, she was absolutely outstanding.
In March 2021 I spent close to $600. My copay only & my insurance paid the balance I bought 1 pair rx sunglasses and 1 pair eyeglasses after 2 weeks they both came in totally wrong had to be sent back, 2 more weeks sunglasses came fine but glasses were totally marked wrong everything blurred, so sent back they came in again and I told Cheryl when I first put them on they were still off my vision wasnt clear she told me to try them and see which I did for 2 weeks still could not see clearlyso after 4 trips and again today May 4th I went to get another eye exam as Cheryl advised and absolutely nothing was done to correct the glasses I bought already. they wanted me to move them around on my face lower them on my nose or just buy another pair of glasses. They were all Very rude because I was back again, Cheryl last visit had advised another eye exam so that was to be today, Dr looked at me talked about the proplems and told the tech the glasses need tint or better antiglare or marking changed, but no real other eye exam. They offered no support within my 90 days they only wanted me to buy more extra glasses. I explained the glasses needed light tint due to light sensitive eyes now or better anti glate but the having to move my head or bigger lens to accommodate the upper & lower vision issues. My sunglasses were great so I tried asking for them to make my regular glasses like my sunglasses with pale tint & no glare since I could see fine with them but No they wouldnt do anything at all.NOT 1 TIME TRYING TO FIX MY GLASSES TO GET THEM TO BE WHERE I COULD SEE CLOSE & far off clearly, Progressive lens I have worn 45 years and never had to bob my head up & down to see.Up & down all day working or lower the nose frame down on my nose which didnt helpI will never go back there and my entire family of 5 will never go back there. Their 90 day guaranteed approval or return is a joke they wont do anything. Very disgusted in this customer service. It is clear if you have severe issues with your eye go to a specialist.up & down in order to work & read was nothing any eye DrHad advised in 45 years. So I left when I saw they were not going to help me . I asked for a larger lens & FRAME Thelp solve the upper vision space. I have never been so disgusted in my life. TotL waste of time off from work and 5 trips back and forth to have worthless regular glasses.
Great experience, thorough exam by Dr. Forehand, and staff is very nice.
Awesome experience! Very professional and friendly staff, even being slammed at the end of the year they were all working very quickly.
ETA: they were able to order me a pair of trial contacts, and that prescription is waaaaay too strong. So basically, dont go to Dr Ton if you have a strong script. Now Im just screwed, and I refuse to let the same people who couldnt figure it out try again. Now I have to go to a better doctor and pay out of pocket. Thanks.Terrible. I arrived 15 mins early for my appt, but still sat for 40+mins while a walk-in went ahead of me. The doc had a hard time figuring out my prescription because their equipment wasnt registering my measurements. I got through the exam, paid, picked out frames, only to be told they can only sell me (way overpriced) frames because they cant order my lenses because theyre too strong. How does the doctor not know that? How do they not tell me up front? Seriously? Im in desperate need of glasses, out $65, and I dont even trust the prescription because the doctor didnt know what to do without the computer tellng him how to do it. Ive been getting my glasses at Walmart my entire life. I guess Ill go there. Completely ruined my day. Thanks.
Phone always rings busy. Went and got eye exam and then went back to order glasses for my boyfriend who works 7 days and they couldn’t help. Glassesusa much better experience and will just take my money there.
I have always used Target Optical for my glasses, however, this past visit has completely changed my mind. My father and I were in two weeks ago to order glasses, were told it should take two weeks but to expect them a lot sooner. I have called multiple times and have even stopped in twice to check if they are in, as I am diabetic and have been dealing with the wrong prescription for two weeks now. Everyone I spoke to told me it was just because of high demand. I stopped in Friday and was finally told they filled my insurance wrong so both glasses are stuck in a third party. Which also leads to the issue of us being charged more, and benefits being messed up as the order was placed before the new year. Sarah was very nice when helping us and assured us she would have it figured out by the time she leaves. Not even an hour after leaving we got a phone call from the manager, telling us that there is nothing wrong and the glasses are taking longer due to high demand. So there is clearly no communication and no one actually is looking anything up. Its disheartening, that the manager lied after we spoke to someone an hour prior. Also, the last couple times I have been in besides Karen and Sarah everyone is rude, especially the younger girl with dark hair. I will never come back to Target for glasses. Spent the extra $20 and go to Lens Crafters or anywhere else.
Dr. R was great had a really good experience. However, my issue is with the online service and the optical. How is it possible that during this uncertain times with Covid-19, Target optical online service can’t communicate with their own local optical locations to obtain my prescription. Since they are telling me that my copy has a smudge and can’t read it.I would understand if I submitted information from another doctor’s office, but from one of their own locations is ridiculous. On top of that, I tried calling the location for them to resend me a better copy And it’s always busy and when I finally get through they couldn’t look up the information because the doctor was not in.Then since I haven’t been able to submit a more appropriate copy, my online order was canceled and I’m still in need of glasses. This was my first time and I’m never using them again, paying less is not worth these much of a hassle. Save your time and sanity and go buy your glasses somewhere else.
I dont normally post reviews but I thought this one was worth the time. I went to Target Optical in Sanford a few days ago and was helped by a lady named Cheryle. Cheryle spent a good half hour with me discussing all my options and looking at numerous frames etc (which thanks to covid she then had to steralize). At the end of the day, it turned out that my in-network was cheaper and i left without purchasing anything. Despite this, Cheryle was very gracious and did not in any way make me feel that I had wasted her time. I would definitely recomend this store to anyone.
My husband went here for a standard eye exam. They messed up the lenses on his glasses not once but twice waited three months to get them. When he finally got them the prescription is wrong and he cant see out of them. We have now been trying to contact for over a month to get this fixed but no one ever answers the phone and hours keep changing without warning.Horrible experience will not be back to this location
Dr. Was great in Sanford, but when I asked the staff if I could the measurement of my pupil distance one woman asked if she was allowed to measure me and then another older women said if you want to. Then she took it back and bounced around with all this random jargon to finally tell me no. Doesn’t make any sense,. I won’t go back. Not helpful at all
I like Dr. Bever, but the scheduling system is ridiculous. My appointment was cancelled without notifying me--i received an email two days prior asking me to click a link to confirm, and I did. And yet according to the staff, my appointment was no longer available and should have been rescheduled. That info was not in the email I received, nor did anyone call to reschedule. I went to Target optical for the convenience, and thats been taken away.
First time experience with Dr. Keast. He gave me a very complete exam and was very professional. Jake was also very knowledgeable about optical questions i had and went the extra mile. Looking forward to my new glasses😎
Appointment was at 5:15PM, we were there 10 minutes early to do the paperwork, even then we had to wait for more than an hour to get the checkup done, also we had asked several times that do we need to pay anything out of pocket after the insurance coverage, they said no and after the check is done they asked us to pay $67.50 for the contacts checkup which should have been mentioned while doing the paperwork or while doing the checkup then should inform about the charges upfront to the customers..However, they returned the money back after saying that this should have been told earlier..and also took away the monthly contacts which was already used which is of no use to them.. Staff is no that great at this location, very rude and do not give sufficient information to customers.will never visit this location again..
Target optical has a great selection of Luxottica frames and prices are to be as expected with rayban and Oakley. Their extended warranty is a good bargain and ingot my glasses in under a week. Happy customer here.
Left my glasses there mistakenly for 6 months forgot about them came back for a repair on another one. The consultant she remembered me and ask me by chance did i leave a pair of glasses and i did. Great service and staff.
For the second year in a row I showed up for my annual exam that was scheduled the previous year and confirmed online just weeks prior to the appointment only to be told that since I had not confirmed verbally that my appointment had been cancelled and given to another customer, I would have to reschedule, which I did last year, but not this time. Jake was extremely rude when I asked what the point was of me receiving my appointment reminders by email and confirming online if they required verbal confirmations? Not one did I receive a phone call to confirm. Jake said they did their best to call everyone, but sometimes they just werent able to make all the calls and its the patients responsibility to call and confirm. Another clerk came over to assist and since the customers scheduled in my place were late they worked me into that slot. I got my eye exam, but will not purchase glasses from this location again. The entire front desk staff should be replaced.
The doctor is amazing but thats the only good thing about this place. The country pumpkin they have answering the phones is completely clueless with an attitude...and by the way saying you work for the doctor and not Target is not an answer...why not put me on the phone with someone who can competently answer why lenses just lenses have now taken 4 WEEKS and this is a re order since they didnt do my original pair of glasses correctly. The selection of glasses suck and compared to LensCrafter I will stick to the true eye glass professionals next time! Absolutely zero customer service at Target Optical in Sanford and I would avoid this place at all costs and advice the doctor to open a private practice with better and more pleasant employees.UPDATE : Waited over 4 weeks for the lenses to come in...get called and told they are ready...I drove all the way down there for the lady to say the new lenses are the same exact thickness and she needed to re order them AGAIN! That the lab messed up again and she would personally call and have a supervisor oversee this....thats all great but are you kidding me? Ive already paid for glasses that have Im now going on almost 8 weeks and I still dont have what I paid for. NEVER WILL I EVER GO TO TARGET OPTICAL AGAIN AND WILL END UP RETURNING THESE GLASSES! Not once have I been offered anything for the trouble and now wasted gas of going down there for no reason...they cant even check in glasses correctly....so I have zero confidence my lenses will ever be totally correct!
I have brought my teenage daughter here two years in a row, this year my son and I also saw Dr. Bevers. Super easy to schedule our appointments online. Dr. Bevers is great! She has a sweet and friendly personality! The entire staff was super efficient and very friendly! I have sent friends and coworkers to Dr. Bevers, and I will continue to recommend!
So Luxotica owns EyeMed (insurance) and EyeMed owns Target Optical except their computers are screwed up and they cant talk to each other.. So Ive been trying to order new glasses for 4 days now and cant because these 2 parts of the Same company cant talk to each other and confirm my benefits.. In fact you can only use EyeMed insurance through stores they own. Very frustrating and the only solution is to go out of plan and pay through the nose. Stay away from Target Optical and if you have this insurance through work like I do, its worthless
Front desk seems disorganized, but my eye doctor and the lady who helped me after picking out my glasses were both great!
I like the doctor very much, she is very good but the staff do nothing to impress and seem to be in the business of up selling. We have gone there for four consecutive years but I think we will be looking for a new place.
Cheryl was rude and unhelpful. I went in for a warranty replacement and I was treated like a bum off the street. She was snooty and condescending. I will never go back there because of her!
Stood in store 20 minutes - completely ignored by staff. Never will buy glasses from here again.
Staff is very helpful
