One of the most welcoming and helpful businesses that I been too. The staff were absolutely top notch; one employee by the name of Seaborn is the main reason for my wonderful experience. We talked about a variety of topics, including our time in the Army. They made every attempt to help me search for an item I was looking for, even calling the owner; they even suggested other businesses to help me. Truly a wonderful store, filled with helpful staff who put customers first.

Stopped in this store today and it is great! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the variety of products and brands offered here was a pleasant surprise. My fiance and I are into tabletop gaming (D&D, Frostgrave, Kings of War, etc) and the miniature hobbies that go with it. In addition to the usual Games Workshop items, this store has a good selection of paints, primers, washes and tools from other brands like Army Painter and Vallejo. Add in their Woodland Scenics selections and this is now our one-step shop for miniature and terrain building.

Great variety of rc and stuff, easy relaxing place no pressure, you can browse and ask questions, friendly staff, will visit again when in area.

Horrible, with the exception of two employees seaborn, archie, other than that this store is clueless, and ridiculous, they sell you a dream at the time of purchase but dont follow through on there word, dont recomend to no one!👎

Came in to grab a new esc and motor today.I think his name is Kevin newer younger guy he was amazing gave me great advice and tips along with great product information and he saudered battery terminals for me for a small fee! All these guys are awesome, outstanding customer service. I use to go to Michaels RC in altamonte mall because it was closer but those guys down there have horrible customer service and act like you are a burden when you walk in, that also belittle you if you are a novice rc guy who doesnt know much, instead of helping they crack jokes on you. From now on Hobbytown will always be my go to even if I have to drive 30 mins out of my way. THANK YOU GUYS AT HOBBYTOWN KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Good place to buy yourself a nice rc car,truck as well as air plane. They also have a lot of parts for your rc cars and trucks. The customer service is great. Really recommended.

I am actually shocked in a great way with the customer service that I received from Kevin and the rest of the crew at the Sanford, FL Hobbytown.The quick story... I purchased a brand new Traxxas Erevo 2.0 from this location. During my first run the motor came loose from the motor mounts which caused a trickle effect and fully destroyed the motor and spur gear. I contacted Traxxas directly and they requested that I ship them the broken parts for evaluation and possible fix/replacement.So, rather than wait for shipping and all of the trouble that would go with that approach, I instead brought the vehicle to this location and Kevin (Manager of this location I believe) was able to diagnose and replace (and install) the defective parts on the spot for NO CHARGE. He was able to deal with the troubles of warranty and everything without any headaches on my end.I will continue to shop and refer people confidently to/at this location.Thanks guys, it is very refreshing to see people stand by their products the way that you do.Much appreciated, Kyle

Made a LARGE purchase of 2 ARRMA RCs (Kraton 6s & Granite 3s), plus 6 3s batteries, 4 battery charger. Guy was very nice and answered all my questions. Felt a little rushed but, I attributed that to not thinking that I was seriously. Like I said LARGE purchase. Treated my kid and I very well. I asked several times if I needed anything else. I specifically asked about upgrades, spare parts, tools and anything else I should have. I was told repeatedly I had all I needed. Just to enjoy until something breaks then replace/ upgrade as needed. I got home and it was pouring out so, I only took the trucks out of the boxes to look at them with my kid. Next opportunity I had I wanted to prepare a few batteries for some father n son time just to find out I DIDNT have everything I needed. The charger didnt come with cables to charge the batteries. Frustrated kid and father had to find something else to do.WentI to highfly got what I needed and realized I paid too much by $100 and didnt get all I needed. N

This store has just about anything thats a hobby: plastic models, RC, Warhammer, both AOS & 40K. The staff is courteous and helpful. They also carry Citadel paints, Army Painter paints & products & Vallejo paints & products. Great place to shop!

First impression it is a day care center. Baby is always there and baby items you have to avoid. No offense just not the right setting. Talking to a staff member, when another member interrupted after waiting about 90 seconds I walked away. I was inquiring about a cheap part. That was the start of my order. My order would have been well over 700.00. So I bought my body and paint and left to probably not return. They seem nice and willing to help. But both visits the older lady has interrupted both visits. Last time at check out.

Best paint selection

How can you call yourself HobbyTown if you dont carry any fpv? I asked for Quad blades and first get directed to airplane propellers then finally getting shown a blade inductrix? Its sad to see brick and mortar hobby stores go by the wayside but the internet is taking over simply by having the proper product available .... They have a great collection of lots of different genres of hobbies. They are very knowledgeable, but also know when to back off if you want some space.I went in for N Scale train supplies, I loved that they had 2 beautiful layouts. Gave me a lot of ideas.

This store is fantastic. Everything you need is there. Except for hospitality. Dont expect to be greeted when you walk in. Dont expect anyone to ask if you need any help. Dont expect them to say thanks for coming by on your way out. I can only imagine how successful they would be if they hired people with personality. People who care about helping others. Never have I felt more out of place than every time I enter this shop. Im a huge fan of basically everything they sell, I would have spent more money at this shop instead of buying from Amazon if only some one would acknowledge my presence. Month after month I go back hoping for a different experience and walk away disappointed every time.

Friendly & knowledgeable. A wide variety of toys, plastic models, model rockets, r/c cars, trucks, boats & planes, railway trains, tracks + AFX &Tyco products & some. From beginner to advanced, theyve got it. If you want to buy a quality, durable lifetime r/c product, buy it here & not at Wal-Mart or Target. Plus if it were to break, here at Hobby Town, they have parts to fix it or can fix it for you.

Im just getting into RC cars and stopped by the store to browse but ended up buying me a Senton 4x4. I must say the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and not the least bit sales pushy. Most of all, there prices and very reasonable, especially compared to online prices, in fact they were a little better than the prices I found on line. I bought the Senton 4x4, a Venom battery and charger. Ill definitely be making future purchases from this store.

Guys what in the world has happened to your customer service & Professionalism I’ve been coming here to your business 2+yr when you were on Rinehart and now orlando drive. My family absolutely loved Your establishment almost felt like family when we walked in( we loved hearing Scott how are you today who is the lucky kid getting a new RC / upgrade today.To the point... I just purchased a Kraton 8S with The spectrum 4cell 100 C batteries and was told that’s the only battery capable of working with this vehicle? I understand you might have a sponsorship with them and are pushing sales but let’s not force customers into purchasing other more quality batteries as in Gen Ace or venom. We all know that you guys can make magic happen with making adapters to fit any mod.As a truly Loyal customer, whatever happened to your establishment please dig deep and fix it!! Great hobby store, especially if you are in to RCs. My son gets everything he needs there for his extensive hobby. And the people there are extremely knowledgeable and eager to help or teach.

Great selection on paints compatible with airbrushes. Also good prices on airbrushes and good model selection. I go out of my way to get paint and supplies here. Employees are helpful too.

A great hobby shop, you can come to them with a problem (in a plane, quad, etc.) and they will help. Although you may have to to come in on a different day to meet a certain experienced staff member. They have a great selection in all accept certain fpv equipment. Stuff will often be cheaper online, but buying from a hobby shop makes sense for items that may need to be returned.

Place is a joke. Never want to help/work. They dont carry anything good in stock as far as parts. Been here a few times as its close to the house but wasted my time everytime I go. And they wonder why they wont last even at different locations. If you want a good selections of different rc stuff head over to remote control hobbies in Orlando. Or graves rc

Good shop with a decent variety of entry to expert level hobby gear. Friendly staff and clean shop.Only downside was they did not tell me that the helicopter I was buying was the old model but still charged me the same price as the new model (old models were discounted at other stores in town). I had to spend another $40-$50 in extra parts from another store to “upgrade” the heli myself.

I came here to purchase fuel line for a project. Staff showed me where the product was and took care of payment with efficiency. No complaints here.

Ive been there several times with a friend of mine that owns an RC car service I would give a 6 out of 10 they keep you coming back for more partsWhen somebody brings their RC car there they bought it there and they need a part customer service should tell them exactly what they need instead of having them have to come back 2 days later for another part

No help, next to zero knowledge and no offer to order the part i needed. Many days later i went back because no else is open on sunday and the guy was great and very helpful with my other wants. I already got my needed part from the place in daytona (which was the best hobby shop i have EVER been to).

Helpful and courteous. Prices and selection could be better but overall good hobby store.

Awesome shop, just wish they were closer. Always stocked with a variety of GUNPLA. Never dont have the paints Im looking for, always stocked. The staff is friendly and dont bother you unless you ask, which is a shoppers dream. A bonus is their rewards program, Ive reaped the benefits many times thanks to these guys.

Stopped in for some 40k figures, was presently surprised at the variety of hobby categories they cover, from RC, to models of all kind, to Gundam, to miniature sets, a fun store for sure!

Love this store! It was my first experience with Rcs and the Owner and employees were all very helpful to point me in the right direction. They even fixed my Rc truck (at no extra charge) after My 3year old ran it through some sand a couple of hours after purchase. (the engine got clogged with sand) Im definitely going back in the near future.

The owner is the worse for customer service and his head guy is no better. In stores yesterday and the head guy or whatever you call him helped a customer at the register right in front of me, he finished the transaction and I moved up to the counter and he never once acknowledged I was their. He was literally at the computer 2 foot away from me, no possible way he didnt see me in line or standing waiting to cashed out.But yet someone walked up to make a large purchased and he sure acknowledged them.Long story short. Goto Graves or Micro R/c zone. It will be worth it.

Was my place for rc and we always do our best to support local business. Over the years weve spent thousands of dollars here. Purchasing trucks, drift cars, crawlers, helicopters, airplanes, batteries and countless parts.This weekend we purchased an esc which turned out to be faulty for an airboat. After presenting a receipt and requesting a refund we were told to take it up with manufacturer because the item was soldered. There is no other way to test this esc other than to solder leads onto it.The staff is not only abrasive but demonstrate a lack of knowledge. I purchased this ESC after I was assured it was waterproof. After reading the manual, the esc I purchased is NOT waterproof. So this ESC wont even meet my needs to begin with.At any rate, what incentive is there to continue spending money at this retailer when I can save a trip and get better support online? Amazon, ebay and Tower Hobbies offer better support than this. Just my experience and good luck.
