The cashiers at this location provide the worst customer service in town. It’s a miracle if I can get them to bag my grocery’s and they move at a tortoise pace. Literally only shop at this location when I absolutely have to.

This trip, the bill was 96.I gave the gal checker 106.She didnt give me my change.She called the manager over, to open the drawer and she gave me back a 5.Either she cant count and shouldnt be working the cashier or her math is just fine and she needed the 5 dollars more than I do.I kept silent.....this time.

Not good. The clerk who does the checkout first thing in the morning at 6am has always had a very unfriendly, unhelpful attitude towards me and acts like I am there to serve her.

Im standing in a line that reaches from the entrance of the shop all the way around the beer cooler, down the water isle, snaking around the eggs and butter all the way to the meats. There are 3 people sweeping the floors. 3 cashiers only. Every single person in the store is waiting in line. Smart? Sure, if your time isnt money. Final? Could this be the final straw to where I do not return? Very very possibly.

I know that they are made to sell in mass quantities buy there are some things I wish would be less like condiments. I tried to buy loose packets because a patron in the store had opened it. When I went to pay thats the moment I had to tell them that there were other open boxes. This alarmed them and they wanted to check their camera feed. That might be pointless. It is unknown when the patron would have done such a thing. So be careful of certain items you want to buy in smaller quantities. If you decide to use the bathroom the code is no longer required due to covid-19.

Not a bad store. Troubles with inventory management mean some items missing for a long time even before pandemic. Meat comes pre packaged, no butcher on site. Produce is ok, but often missing that one item (today, fresh dill). Starting to have flour and bulk beans and rice again which is nice. Used to have a strong sewer smell.in produce but seems cleaned up.

I shop for one and I find most everything I need, amazing savings and I love their gala and fuji apples, so very delicious!

Today 03/25/2019 about 9 pm. the cashier lady’s short hair .She forgot to give us 50% discount on the bread. We went back to told her. She acts like it our fault!!! and said go back on the line or tell the guy other cashier help. We understand to get back on the line and it was fine . But the point is you made mistake and we just told you and nicely.How come you act like it’s customer fault. No sorry words, no service mind.**Love the store, but bad customer service.Please fix.

Such a rude store with rude staff Mary the cashier is so unprofessional I came in at the end of an evening right before the store closed I heard they’re closing announcement and was rushing to get an item and I overheard mary say hurry up loudly and rudely.

I have been a shopper at the downtown Smart & Final since it was located on Chapala back in the 1970s, I am really glad they put a store at 5 Points shopping center and across from COSTCO because I live near Turnpike so I shop at the 5 Points location. The store is very clean and well organized with a great selection at the lowest prices, The store employees always have a great attitude and really keep the store clean and well stocked along with making the check out process very quick and efficient so there is seldom a wait in the check out line.I just have one small complaint, they need to restock the 5 pound bags of Hoodys Salted Peanuts

Good, I mean, they have what I need in a punch but Id prefer another store for the real grocery shop. Also, expect long lines. They never have enough cashiers, ever! Also, very hard to find someone working in any department if you happen to have a question.

Good selection and great prices on large quantity purchases. Their weekly sales are worth watching for.

Dont come here if youre in a hurry. Every time I come they only have two checkouts open (Even during the busiest times of day), and checkouts are operated by the slowest checkers on earth! Im not exaggerating. Its almost comical.

This stores mangers are beyond horrible. I ask to speak to a boss only waiting 10 min for him to even arrive. When they did they did not even acknowledge a very simple request. All I ask was for change. They fail to make eye contact which means serious action needs to be taken againsts the owners. This is the worst costumer service anyone can imagine. You never ignore a costumer completely just because you fail to take responsibility for your actions. Very unnaceptable and I hope the higher arcs address this.

The customer service here is beyond amazing! They remember the people that come in day to day. They staff works as a team and it is very apparent that they do. Its great! I love it when checking out the cashier this morning asked me, hey, how are you feeling? Better i hope because you look a lot better now. Before you could tell you werent feeling good. and being able to reply with yes actually im feeling 100% better and was just like stumped cuz i hadnt had that type of awesomeness happen while at the check out line.

Im so happy to have smart and final close to my house; but I dont like the business hours. I wish you guys open until midnight. Please.......!!!! Will be good business for the one in goleta...

Only two check stands open and people have carts topped off. They did open third after 20 min waiting.

Put you express lane sign in a better spot. Could not tell which one was express lane. I was terribly embarrassed when asked to leave THE WRONG LANE.

They never have enough registers openUpdate 9/14/18. Lines are still just as longUpdate 12/22/18. Lines are still just as long, despite reaching out to customer relations as directed by the owner.

Dirty vegetable trays and dirty aisles. Only two checkstands open at 7:30 pm and a 30+ minute wait. Would not recommend.

This is the only grocery store I have ever gone into that NEVER has shopping baskets, and I need to wander around the cash registers until I can find one. This is every time I go in here, but since they closed the Vons by my house I dont have a choice but to go here if I want to go some place nearby. (sometimes I do just drive to Vons on Turnpike)

I was helping my mom get in line. My cart was in the aisle. The cashier started telling at me saying she couldnt help me. The line was 10 items or less.

I don’t have many options so this is one of the closest stores and it’s OK.
