Now I remember why I don’t shop at this store… The check out experience is always grueling. The price-for-quality aspect is lacking. Two far better, high-quality grocery stores are less than 1 mile away.
Been coming here a lot lately after weve moved in the area. Love their selections!!
Very very overpriced. Think about helping out some people less fortunate than you if you do your shopping here and money doesnt concern you
Wasnt a fan of being asked twice what was in my soup cups. I told him and he kept asking like maybe I was lying. I was in a lot of pain and loopy from pain meds. I just needed something on my stomach. He didnt stop until I told him to open and see for his self. I guess this wholefoods thinks black customers steal. *eyeroll*
Hadnt been in for a year, had a couple questions hard to get help there. Seems like the workers are doing their own thing. Bring back the self-serve oh, you cannot see what youre buying when its packaged. Last time I bought something pre-packaged it had too much fat
Whole Foods has a great selection of foods and drinks. I have been here many times and will keep going here.
Great smoked meats. all the employees were very nice and helpfull
Relatively large, well spaced out, big parking lot, easy access. No downside except how expensive it is.
Whole Foods was much better before Amazon bought it and turned a local gem into an overpriced, overcrowded standardized market adorerd by young people who cant tell the difference and have Amazon Prime.
∆mazon people 4 the people •Super re-set, reMods....well pLanned merchandising ... Products ready to shop ✓Outside tables relaxing eating breathing area, sup.thx.jeff bezoz....
I used to live in California where we had a local Whole Foods store. I was so upset when I moved to Montgomery to see they didn’t have one, but so excited when they finally opened one! You’d be surprised how much cheaper it is to buy from this store than your local grocery store, and the quality of their goods is excellent. Now that Amazon owns them and you have food delivered to your home, and order online, it’s even better. I especially like their skincare and soaps.
The staff is here is extremely kind. Geneviève went above and beyond to create a number of sandwiches for a picnic of ours. My sister and I remarked, If everyone in the world were that kind, the world would be so beautiful. So grateful for her help!
The best quality grocery store I have been to. Organic section is amazing. The compromise is that prices go to the roof. After whole foods were purchased by Amazon, you may be able to use your Amazon prime account for some discount. yellow and blue labels give you 10% and ~40% off. But you have to install the whole foods app on your cellphone.
Crazy place you can get anything you want and you just have to pay for it were going to go there sometime but I got to remember its costly
If it wasnt for the expensive prices this place would get 5 stars. I spend a fortune here. But the quality is phenomenal. I always come away with food that is healthy and tastes good. Just dont come here if youre broke. You can buy three times as much at Vons or Trader Joes.
Its probably the smallest Whole Foods Ive ever been to, but it still offers the best grocery options in Santa Barbara. Maybe a little more expensive than a conventional supermarket, its less excitement than the local high end/organic options. Some of their staff is also very good..
Not the place it was before Amazon bought it. No aisle markers to help you find what you want. Annoying time waster.
Love Whole Foods. Great and fresh food. Amazing employees. Always friendly and helpful.
Cant believe its taken me so long to come here. The bread is fantastic with a nice crunch to it. The cold cuts were great and together made one of my favorite sandwich. Cant wait to come back.
Was accused of stealing because I took a drink out of my coconut smoothie bottle and put it in my pocket by the self claimed manager “Nancy”. I said I didn’t, she still wished to search so I pulled it out and then was shocked because she thought it was there product. I had to allow her to read it’s from traders joe’s. She said shop there then....
Store was pretty light on products which I understand due to our situation we are in now, but I know its not based on customer service so I wont rate it any less than a four. The cashiers can be a little more welcoming though;)
I called 4 times to check on availability of an itemEvery time EVERY TIME someone hung upWon’t shop here ever again
WF always has what I need.
I know its hard but most white vinegar is made from wheat. Im from us the have a high gluten intolerance its nice to know that we going to scrutinize every label. Theres not many choices in pickled products that are gluten free. Its buyer beware
A great, easy Amazon drop off. Plus, great grocery store.
The workers are so helpful and friendly in this branch. I was scouting for some produce when one of their workers noticed me looking for something and took the initiative to ask what I needed. A lot of times I go to a store like Albertsons and people who work there tend to avoid my gaze in hopes that I wont ask them for help. So this was truly refreshing for me. The cashier worker was also very helpful by giving me tips on how to save money through my Amazon Prime. I dont really shop much at Whole foods cause I always deemed their prices to be expensive but this person gave me so many tips on how I can save a few extra bucks. The ambiance was also very pleasant and well organized.
I live in a camper van, and I often work fromThe Whole Foods parking lot. I love knowing my lunch and coffee will always be of consistent quality.
The place is small, good selection of fruits, vegetable, meats, wines. Service is okay, there is enough parking.
Nice store, too bad its Amazon owned now.
Great staff and service. Really clean and empty on an early Saturday morning
Great place they have a big selection of choices a bit expensive but still always a great experience
State Street Whole Foods is great. You can still get hot food prepackaged and the taco salad fajitas bar is now manned by a friendly guy who will custom build your order for you. So all in all the experience is very little changed since covid. Have to admit sometimes it feels like the manager is AWOL as the checkout can become pretty inefficient - lots of folks working but too few running the checkout (unlike for example Trader Joes where they really step up when it gets busy). All said, one of my favorite Whole Foods.
Great selection of items. Relatively pricey, but the quality of produce is worth the money. Since this store is small, the billing lines are very lengthy. I wish there was a delivery service.
Very good BURRITOS... first time in this store and its great.
Where are all the other people with reusable bags? I never see any. I thought So Cal was supposed to be eco friendly. Pretty disappointing.
They were out of a particular product and the help I hunted down only helped so much
Convenient nice location
Small Whole Foods that is dog friendly? I dont understand why people think its okay to bring dogs into grocery stores but that where we are as a society. The fact that Whole Foods employees encourage the behavior is a bit upsetting. I am dog lover, but recognize that some people are allergic and others are afraid of dogs (two reasons why we have laws limiting where you can bring your pet). The employees of Whole Foods seems more interested in talking with the woman and petting her puppy while it rides around in a shopping cart where other put food. This dog was a obvious puppy with no collar no leash no tags, who knows what kind of fleas and ticks might now be in the produce section????
Very impressed with their precautions and diligent sanitation! Produce section was much larger than I expected. Great selection of local items
I have been a whole foods shopper for many years now. it is my preferred store over Sprouts because they always have more options and that is considering that whole foods is costlier. This location is no less professional than the other ones that I have been to in my time of experiencing their standards. Pre-covered 19 and post-covered 19 I have always hated how people dont know the meaning about getting space to someone whos in the same aisle. And at this location, people really do not understand the meaning of giving space I find it myself not even going into an aisle if I see more than one person and it happens a lot. It would be nice if people would understand and get away from me.
Just a little bit of awesome
Great service and friendly help. Great variety of beer too
Great selection of supplements and unique homeopathic medicines
I love theyre food and holistics
Love all the products. Staff is pleasant
A great selection of healthy food. It is great for gluten free options, but it is pricey.
Wifi, compost, outlet, good sales
I love Whole Foods. They have the best prices on spices around! High quality meats, good selection, good service.
A little cramped for a whole foods but they always have what I’m looking for, team is nice and helpful, and I can return prime items at the same time! I love the spotlight on local-made products and always end up trying something new.
Not as nice as some other Whole Foods stores.
I went this morning for a few things. People were very busy and the store was also however they were very helpful, Thanks for helping me during this time of Covid19
Over priced, but convenient.
Good selection of vegan meats and cheeses.
Very clean store with neat systems in place to protect customers from COVID. Surprisingly decent prices, great selection and incredible produce!!
Great meat selection and prices
Hardly a local business. Czar besos pays barely any tax and still its mostly fluff here. They put their brand all around but its basic ingredients. The staff seems to lack spirit and look depressed due to poor management and low morale. Amazon surely will buy out more locations so be prepared for the same boring salad bar across many more locations, The only whole foods I seem to like are in Los Angeles and Berkeley, but our small town sb location seems to have been better suited as a circuit city. Hopefully they lower their prices because they certainly have lowered my bank account with not much substance
We look forward to shopping here every other week! 🤙🏽
Easy and safe online ordering and scheduled, socially distanced pick-up!
Great place
They dont have Lays, but a good selection of micro brewery beers and thats what we were looking for. It would be cool if we could assemble our own 4-pack with different beers, so we can taste more of them.
Pretty busy and small store
After Amazon purchase, customer service has gone downhill, inventory is not what it once was with specialty items, foods have been discontinued and now I cant even talk to anyone by phone - the WF greeting talks about no more delivery and then hangs up. The past several purchases of organic seasonal unripe fruits have spoiled and gone moldy after 2 days. I would like to get credit for such expensive items and cannot reach customer service. WF is not what it used to be and has nothing to do with Covid
This is definitely one of the better Whole Foods Ive been to. Its a well-sized location which means it offers a good assortment of products. Some of the highlights: they have a great seafood & meat counter, a great cheese department, and awesome ready-to-eat food options for grabbing a quick lunch. Another fun thing: the bar inside the store! Ive watched multiple sporting events here while enjoying a beer and appetizers -- so fun! The only downside is that there are always people out front trying to get you to sign things, usually Green Peace. :/
The store has adapted well to the covid-19 pandemic and it felt safe to shop. Everything wqs in stock and all employees were in masks and there was hand sanitizer at the entrance and exit.
I saw a female wearing goggles for covid19. Small store lots of women shopping
A little pricey, but expected for organic.
Clean follows guidelines for covid-19
Always great food! The coffee bar wait was 20 min for a vanilla latte and hot chocolate 😳
I liked it. Wide variety of foods as you would think a Whole Foods would have. I love their Buffet line along with their sandwiches in the pizzas are good the prices are like you expect Whole Foods. Customer service was great.
Bad environmental policies; they forbid reusable containers for dry good purchases, and insist only using single use non-recyclable plastic bags. What’s the point of saving on packaging when they require single use plastic bags as the only alternative?Anyway, they’ve not posted any signage, no doubt because the policy isn’t really one that goes over well in the city that prides itself on starting Earth Day. This led to an awkward exchange at the checkout counter where expectantly customer service failed, with staff claiming “federal law” and “upper management” are responsible and that no one complains (well, here’s one...) I got away with the reusable yogurt container with a mild tongue lashing, a few dirty looks, and a “delay to check the product code”.The sad thing is, While Foods could use paper or compostable bags but isn’t making good decisions for the environment. Clearly, Amazon isn’t that concerned about that sort of impact, but I am and I’ll choose to shop elsewhere rather than support policies that discourage people trying to make a smaller contribution the planets unhealth.
No longer a safe place to shop. The manager was very rude and defending auto repair in the Whole Foods parking lot. Quality and service have gone down hill.
Great staff very helpful.
Love whole foods, very nice people!
Great emphasis on sustainability. Nonetheless, overpriced produce and rude employees.
Here is my guess, this is a 10-pound Whole Foods jambed into a 5-pound storefront. There are some good things here that you find in all Whole Foods, but there is no Serrano ham every time. Then, the aisles are minimally narrow. It would be better if they scaled down the size of the shopping carts. Still, my wife and I leave here and go to the newer Oxnard Whole Foods store to finish our shopping.
I absolutely love this store. Had to take 1 star off though due to the high prices. They have anything your heart could desire. Different bars. Salad bar, fish bar, çoffee. Amazing deli and bakery. Top quality food grocery store and convenient ready made food store.
Well, its whole foods, owned by amazon. Once you get your own mental picture of it, that is it, spot on. Even the people you are imagining in it.
I was actually really impressed. I came here for lunch, and although I always thought it was a really expensive store, I thought the food was great for how much I paid. They had a wide selection of different hot and cold food ready to eat, and everything tasted really good and fresh. They also had a nice seating area, with tables both inside and outside. I will definitely be back!
Love the store. So many options. Love the hot and ready to eat foods. Always so tempting.
When the most memorable part of your shopping experience is a poster featuring an African American man with the headings There are a lot of fish in the sea. We think some should stay there followed by another poster featuring an Caucasian girl captioned Up Strong. Harmless. Theres definitely something wrong with the company as a whole. The marketing department needs serious work whether they were aware of the implications/interpretation of the two posters or not. See my google photo uploaded to this Whole Foods for visuals.
Writing this after waiting in a line for over 15 mins ... not even “rush hour”. It’s one thing to pay premium price but to wait like this with some cashier stations still closed feels more like Smart & Final (where you get a deal) than a more premiere type market. Also, not enough vegan options given the plethora of animal-bases products.
We call it whole pay check because we buy so much food there. Its really good though. Nice hot deli, great meat and fish counters.
High quality products but who can afford to shop here? If you have a family you could easily spend $1000 a week in groceries. Trader Joe’s on the other hand is very reasonable for the common shopper who makes under a 150K a year.
Great products
Great store to shop for groceries. Good vibes. Great staff and super helpful whenever I cant find an item. Theyll take that extra step to walk me to what Im looking for.
Whole foods, great stuff. Love to go and make myself a big fat salad
Standard whole foods offering great organic and local options with some deals. While not the cheapest option I find it is a better selection than tj, and much more convenient then online for quick trips. Their produce is fantastic as well.
The food from the deli is superb. The appearance of the food is devine and is quite tasty. This is a place you dont want to miss experiencing. Though it is costly, if you care for your health it is well worth it.
I think this is one of the smallest Whole Foods Ive been in. Very good produce and meat section. Excellent deli and salad bar. Excellent organic selections. Prices are high but the quality and service are first rate.
Love this store for unusual products and amazing health foods but it nicknamed Whole Paycheck for a reason lol
I cant tell you how happy I am with this store. The guys in the meat department are the best. They are friendly and helpful. The checkers are the best. I love them! Now, when I need advice on a beverage, Gina is superb, and the people who serve gelato are as kind. I can tell that the people who work here love their assignments and go over and above.
What can you say? Its a Whole Foods. Everything is good but with a big price tag. This location does have a bar, which can improve the shopping experience I guess. The bacon and sausage on the breakfast bar is good and worth the price, not sure about the rest of it.
We go here at least three times a week because we have found that we are always guaranteed quality food and selection where competitors have been found wanting. It is definitely expensive but no more so than Gelsons or Lazy Acres and (for us) the convenience of this location just cant be beat. The only minor issue is that the parking lot can be very tight.
Worst Whole Foods branch I have seen. The employees at this branch for some reason act like they are the most important people in the store.I shop at this market almost every week day, and many of their employees I see every day and they never even acknowledge me! They act like they have never even seen me before on a daily basis! It is absolutely strange.Aside from that, they will walk right over you in order to talk to each other, and will even do their best to cut you in line as they are purchasing their own food for themselves. Cant believe Whole Foods allows such behavior of their employees. I understand the price of their products, but they should take care of their customers who work their a$$ off to afford their products.
Good store but the sandwich bar needs work. They constantly get my order wrong. It is amazing because they give you a sheet to check whatever you want on the sandwich
Nice, but smaller, grocery store. Good produce, much of it organic and local. There is a small area to eat with bar and another area to eat at front of store.
