This Store offers A Great variety of Products and Materialsas a Local Contractor i Find Prices to be Fair and ReasonableI Recommend Home Owners To Buy From Them as my Experience with the staff has Been Great especially with The Owners father!
I have been turned away from this store multiple times before they were supposed to close. Once the guy even locked the door as I was walking up. I’m talking 30, 45 minutes even before the listed closing time.
Nice place well stocked fair pricing
If something you buy breaks...You are SOL. As they state no returns EVEN if the product is defective. Robbery. Avoid at all costs. Go to one of the big brand places where you have some protection. I try to support local stores even knowing it’s overpriced. Not this place anymore. Don’t even get me started on the attitude this place has.
Good neighborhood hardware store.
I love everything about this store, its in my neighborhood, locally owned and I rarely leave without finding what I need and I am in there a lot!! Thanks Sean, Kathy and Pops for taking a risk and investing in locally owned, locally run, old school Santa Barbara we take care of our own😊
Hose in kitchen faucet broke. I drove to a couple of plumbing shops and called others. No one had this item. Went to San Andres Hardware, they didnt have it either, but asked me if I wanted to purchase a new comparable faucet, which I did. The young man behind the counter was very professional and personable.
Locally owned and operated! A rarity these days. For a small hardware store, they manage to stock quite a lot. I always prefer to support my little local business instead of one of the giant chain stores. Recommended.
Has a lot of stuff for such a small store... You can find almost anything you need but its going to be cheap quality but expensive pricing. Ace has higher quality for the same price and Home Depot has higher quality for better pricing. The fact that the items are cheap and all sales are final kind of explains the type of shop it is. The owner has always been super friendly to me and I go in on occasion when I need something small and dont feel like driving very far.
I tried to support a local store and unfortunately this is not one of them..returned an item 10 minutes after buying it..I did not open it, just realized I did not need to spray my heat register since it was already white.NO REFUNDS STORE CREDIT ONLY OR EXCHANGEI did neither I gave it back to the clerk and told him I will never come back after explaining this is not a good way to earn the support of a neighbor and not to put the item back on the shelf to resell but to GIVE IT AWAY!!So if you are looking for a white semi-gloss rustoleum spray ask the guy behind the counter and consider it a gift from me $7.60 with tax.Say hi to me at Ace Hardware.Vincent
The owner is friendly at times. Ive had good experiences there but my last trip was frustrating.Dont buy their Quickie brand mop. After mopping half of my kitchen I realized how cheap this product was and was bummed I had paid $16.99 for it. The owner would only give me store credit and charge me the difference for the more expensive, $18.99 Quickie mop. I didnt want either of these mops and will never buy a Quickie brand mop ever again.Clearly posted on the door as you walk in is a sign that says All Sales Are Final.... not the best policy when you are selling cheap products.... or maybe for the owner it is?Unfortunately, this store doesnt stack up to competitor return policy standards and I will not be shopping here any more. I recommend any potential shoppers take a good look at what they buy here because there is no return policy!!
Small hardware store on the westside of Santa Barbara. Fairly large selection of hardware items, keys made, and other sundry items. Owner is friendly and helpful when looking for hardware items in the store. 1 handicapped parking space, smaller parking lot, but adequate most times of the day.
Great selection support this gem of a local mom and pop shop
Outstanding for a small, local Hardware Store. Papa is awesome....and he loves my dog (his girlfriend).....just a joy to shop at.
They are a little pricey. But theyre local. I go there sometimes. I rarely make it to the westside. But when i need materials and such, thats the spot. Family owned and run
What a PLACE! We went in looking for little fish nets to go tide-pooling and they MADE them for us, saving us running all over town! This is what a hardware store is all about. Go. Go often. Shop local. Thanks San Andres Hardware! Best hardware store Ive been to in a long time.
Great neighborhood store. The guys that own and run it are very helpful. Its awesome having a hardware store with friendly staff willing to help you out so close to home
Great and helpful owner. He took the time to help me personally and thats something you wont find at a Home Depot.
Amazing amount / variety of stuff for such a small store. A true hardware store, instead of the behemoths like Home Dept and OSH. Not a lot of help - its down at the end of that aisle - but its fun to wander around and discover stuff you didnt know you needed. Small parking lot.
Sean and Cathy the new owners, along side Papa are such a wonderful team, they were so generous with their time and knowledge. I would highly recommend you stop by and get to know them, wonderful people, and business, truly a blessing to have in the neighborhood!
You already know this is the best hardware store in the city.why should you go here instead of comparison shopping on Amazon?Amber, Colter, Esther, Guillermo and Dion.Amber:Youve seriously helped me take care of my brand new family, helping me to get a fan replaced that smelled very strange and made way too much noise.Colter: You plugged in different models and tested them with me.Esther: My baby needs a grandma and how about one who can solve plumbing, stain and hose problems like a boss? I love you all.You make the difference. I look forward to coming in to the hardware store.
This little store has about everything you need without driving long distance. Friendly service.
The owner is extremely helpful and talkative, cannot recommend this hardware store more. Keep it local!
They almost always have what I need and I dont have to wait in line.
A real, honest hardware store, like something from a bygone era, staffed by knowledgeable people. Its easy, amd pleasant, to forget Home Depot exists when I come here.
Nice neighborhood store.
Santa Barbaras last neighborhood hardware store as the breed slowly sinks into oblivion. If we dont feed it with our patronage it will starve to death
Met owners grandfather, and he was very personable. I will return.
Very rude, asked a very simple question about how much it would cost to have a key made, to which the man on the phone responded perhaps sir if you are concerned about the cost of a key, we would not be the business for you and promptly hung up on me. Perhaps if this is how you treat potential customers, you Sir should not be in business.
Great local old school hardware store. Has a little bit of everything.
Small but convenient hardware place
A local gem..owned and operated by family... stocked with a little of everything at a fair price..even micro fiber towels to wash my ride...
Well stocked for a little. Neighborhood store.
The clerk Popau is rude. They dont honor their guarantee. My girlfriend got some key copies made. The gentleman said they were guaranteed. She got four keys copied. One set didnt work so I go in. I messed up and told him to fix a pair that didnt I need it, went back today with the pair that didnt work to get them fixed and the clerk told me I had to pay.The reason I posted this was because he had offered the guarantee on the copies. Granted I wasted 30 seconds of a his day yesterday, my mistake. When I went in earlier I didnt have my wallet, so I had to go home grab it and come back. At which point I gave him the opportunity to honor his guarantee, he said Sir why do you worry about three dollar key, when you drive up in a thirty thousand dollar car? That did it for me. I drive an old, used Sentra. How rude!I told him that all four key copies were his work and he had offered the guarantee. He cut me off and said good day that I should go elsewhere and basically kicked me out. This was the worst experience Ive had in Santa Barbara.
Great small local hardware store. Has everything I needed.
