Perfect coffee place with outdoor seating.Friendly staff and well maintained cafe.Elaborate variety of drinks including coffee (drip, cold brew etc.) and also the toasts and pastries.Their seasonal menu is also worth trying. The Pesto Ricotta Toast was delicious. They are following the required safety and hygiene protocols.
Beautiful drinks and such a welcoming vibe. The drinks are also very well balanced flavor wise, not overly sweet and not overly bitter, just perfect. I also LOVE that they had a speaker system set up for the cashiers (it makes it SO much easier to hear the cashier when theyre behind an acrylic panel and have a mask on!). I ended up staying for 2 hours just enjoying the vibe of the place and absolutely loving my drinks. I would highly recommend to anyone!
Thoroughly appreciated the greeter/cashier graciously answering all my questions! When you are a well rated establishment, I think it’s only natural that people are curious about your quality, so thank you for not giving me attitude like some other places! It was a wonderful surprise to learn that they bake everything personally which definitely adds value to the experience. Hooray for local business! :-) The blueberry scone was impeccable and I could’ve easily gone with so many other different options… Kind of hard to choose ha ha ha. Their decaf was on point, too. My friend got the almond butter toast which tasted hearty, similar to the mill up in SF. Solid A+!
We like coffee shops outside of the classic franchises, so this is our favorite corner, we always feel welcome. They have many artisan coffees, in winter I have their extra hot Matcha and my husband the mocha. In these times of covid last year we could not sit inside but the situation is gradually changing and this week I was so happy seen few people inside, small changes. On more summer days we sit outside, there is an canopy with several tables. I love the Destinations Drinks: Bali Espresso with oat My choice - milk, coconut cream, cayenne pepper, honey or Tokio, Espresso, oat milk, house-made vanilla, cherry blossom water, brown sugar, both delicious. Lately I try Manila, a deliciously purple mix of ube, mango, brown sugar, vanilla, and coconut cream. This one is subtly sweet with lil bit of tartness and a lil bit of creaminess. My hubby - always hungry - order the Ricotta Pesto Toast: whole grain bread toasted with ricotta cheese, pesto, cherry tomatoes, thyme, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Su yummy.
A wonderfully polite and energetic staff! Delicious and unique coffee choices! And a lovely atmosphere to enjoy your drink! I was from out of town, but you could see the care given to all customers was even deeper with their regulars. It made me wish I was a regular!
This was my first time trying out coffee from Voyager, happy to say I was not disappointed. We ordered destination drinks including Santiago, Bali and Manila. The purple in Manila was enticing for me. All the flavors were nuancely balanced, with that hit of espresso toward the end of the sip. Where else do you find combinations of cayenne, coconut, ube, mango or even bourbon in coffee? Im guessing not many places. Great experience all in all.
Excellent variety of coffee. Very crowded.
Love their speciality coffee drinks. The one in Stevens creek gets pretty busy in the mornings. I only go there if I have to get the pesto ricotta sandwich (yum!). Wish they had the same in their other locations too.
OMG this place has the best coffee options in the Destination Drinks section. And the best party they offer decaf option for these; Bali and Tokyo are my regular orders. Also, Im a latte person so havent tried out the black coffee options but Im sure theyd be good.
Great coffee, better food and even better staff! Can get a little crowded but it is worth the wait. The different toasts they have are very well prepared, I’ve only had two of them but the goat cheese with jalapeño jelly was delicious! The service was great and the staff was very friendly and opening. As a Seattleite I’m a little disappointed in my own city that my favorite coffee shops there couldn’t not compete with Voyager. Also found it interesting they had ‘destination drinks’ which I assume were drinks from various parts of the world, I haven’t tried them since I wanted coffee. I think it would be cool to also have destination coffees with how other countries prepare coffee but I may be asking too much.
Been here many times while Im CA for surgery. Wonderful, creative lattes and coffee drinks. Good atmosphere. Chill and also bustling. Great friend staff.
Their cortado was top notch, no bitterness at all. Very Good cappuccino too!
This is my morning reading go-to spot. From their delicious drinks to their tasty simple food items, Voyager Craft coffee is a very nice meeting spot with ample seating (crowded a bit but efficient). From people studying to people meeting, Voyager is my current go-to for those in the area and their custom drinks are a must to experience! The service is incredible from the courteous, friendly and helpful wait staff. WiFi is available & runs smooth, but there are limited electric plugs (IMHO a good thing); parking is so so due to its popularity but not impossible (you may just have to walk a short distance). I highly recommend Voyager!Pictures are: the “Tokyo” w/ some color (you can ask for them to do this, but I only do it for special occasions as it takes a lil extra time). Also, a picture of their avocado toast (a tad pricey but as simple as it seems, it’s very tasty)!Update 1/9/2020: Also a picture of their interior & a London Fog tea.
Kindness and customer service go a long way. The gentleman with the long hair and hat (alameda location) was so nice and I was having a pretty rough morning and I really appreciate people just asking how you are doing, smiling, saying good morning, and inquiring a little about you. I really like the staff here. I walked across the street to stand in the sun and he even left the front cashier to walk it over to me and suggested I sample their new whipped cream which was super delicious. Omg the Tokyo coffee is my new fav and I got it with oatmilk. He was not lying that it has like a berry or fruity after taste. Wow I drank this all day and just kept saying wow. I really love the destination drinks here. This place makes some serious good coffee! Ty!
Creative artisan coffee that truly taste as described! We had the Bali and Valencia - could definitely taste the coconut flavor for both and the pepper for the Bali. About $18 for two coffees and an avocado toast. Coffee was strong, will be back for just a pure flat white next time! Heard theyre changing the menu soon too.
The staff goes out of their way to be nice. They source high quality pastries, prepare adventurous coffee flavors and a small selection of other cafe treats. They have gluten free toast and support a wide variety of alternate milks. Its the perfect coffee shop.
Fast ServiceReasonable priceLovely placeBeautiful Purple Manila coffee
Excellent in every way! Friendly, tasty, and decently priced.Environment - Very warm. A lot of sun light with natural wood feel is great. All the seats were taken by people on laptops and people just having a nice chatService - This is where they shine brightly. Extremely friendly. The workers try to get to know everyone and is overly friendly. Be prepared to wait in line because they do spend quality time with every customer. Brought the drink to me personally instead of just calling out the drink from behind the counter. A+Drink - Their signature drinks are unique and memorable. Try any of the 4 mentioned on the left side of the board. Will definitely recommend and be back. Im a little worried if they will be able to scale if it keeps getting popular.
Sat outside with my dog. Very noisy and atmosphere wasnt good. Cappuccino was slightly better than a Starbucks.
Cute coffee place near all the car dealerships. They are a legit cafe and the baristas can actually pull decent espresso.I also bought a bag of beans that were delicious.
Nice little Cafe in an unlikely location. They made me a delicious cappuccino!
I am addicted to their coffee here! Their roast is so well balanced and their coffee recipe is one of a kind! The atmosphere is trendy and chill. It is usually always crowded even if its pouring rain. Seatings are limited but they offer sofas seating, bar seating or table group seating. I love their fast and free Wifi! On their food/snack menu, they offer pastries and toasts. My favorite things that I always never fail to get are avocado toast and Valencia coffee.
Coffee was good but lacked a little body. Had the manilla and Santiago. Its been a year since there last... Ill give it a try again. No inside seating (yet)
A great place to hangout with friends. But their coffee is disappointing. The foam for the latte is a bit dry.
Really wanted to like this place. Coffee drinks were fine but needs better service. Came here two times, both with online ordering. First time, one drink was already done but the pour-over wasnt even started. Maybe they wanted to have it fresh/hot but that defeats the purpose of online ordering for me. After waiting fifteen minutes and asking about my coffee, it appeared it got lost at counter and never brought to the to-go window. Second time, they made the wrong drink.
5 stars ha!!! 1,000,000 stars!!! The owners are not only connoisseurs of coffee they know all the ins and outs. They live for coffee. I mean like professional wine tasters except, for coffee. The quality of the coffee beans they use is second to none. They even make cold brew here. If like coffee go here and you will leave living coffee!!!
GREAT COFFEE SHOP AND DECENT PRICE!Don’t expect to find smoothies or power outlets under each table or mozzarella paninis, but expect to find good quality coffee and good quality snacks to go with it, along with a wait of 15 minutes in the morning, when they’re full.We came in at around 8:45 and there wasn’t anywhere to sit. As you come in the first thing you do is order and that in itself takes about 10 minutes, considering the line.By the time we ordered, a table was freed up... And this is the positive aspect of not having power outlets everywhere, most people leave after they finish their food! The cashier promised to bring our food in 15 minutes and after paying we proceeded to wait about 12 minutes for our food... Worth every minute! We ordered the toast with goat cheese and jelly ($6) and a toast with avocado (Also $6). The moment you put the goat cheese and jelly toast in your mouth NOTHING HAPPENS... It takes about 7 seconds for the palate signal to be processed properly by your brain and THEN you FEEL THE FLAVOR for about 2 seconds in every part of your head. I tried to describe this as accurately as I could... Even though the avocado toast was served in about 5 tables when we arrived, (There are about 10 tables and the place seats about 40 people, sadly only one unisex bathroom) the flavor of the GOAT CHEESE AND JELLY TOAST trumped the avocado toast.I ordered a mocha ($4.90, which begs the question “Why not just $5?”) and that was regular... uneventful.... If I had chosen a more adventurous coffee from Ethiopia, I’m sure the experience would have been better. In the end, you can come here for good coffee, good snacks to go with it... Work, play, talk a bit and keep those flavors lingering in your memory... until you come back again. The “Santiago”, a delicious mixture of espresso, milk, cocoa, ginger, cayenne and cinnamon. GET IT! NOW!
Super friendly staff and amazing coffee!
Voyager Craft Coffee has a drink, The Lexington, made with espresso, milk, and reduced bourbon. This drink is what makes Voyager craft. Its been handcrafted to taste as exquisite as it sounds. Highly recommend stopping by and getting one. Their cappuccinos and lattes are great too, just I cant order them now that Ive had The Lexington. Hahaha. But my wife does and she enjoys them very much.Voyagers staff is another highlight, they make me feel like a friend not a customer. Its so nice when they ask about your day, comment on what book youre carrying, etc.Fair warning: Not a ton of seating at this location, it can fill up. However, the same quality drinks and service are available at their Downtown San Jose, San Pedro Square location and that one has way more seating. Just fyi.
The coffee and tea was amazing, try the egg toast!
Amazing tea, not just coffee!
Outdoor shaded seating was limited but its great they have that option. Service was speedy and the employees who helped us were very nice. The cold brew I ordered was refreshing and tasty, slightly fruity with low bitterness. The wife ordered a signature Tokyo drink that she enjoyed but found a little too sweet. Ive been here several times and will look to come back whenever Im in the neighborhood.
I forgot the name of this drink but its the one with bourbon reduction and its SO GOOD! Its not too sweet, no unwelcome bitterness, and a glorious taste overall. I also had a croissant/cinnamon roll thing and it was the most indulgent cheat ever. Great job, Voyager! I cant wait to try more of the menu.
Update 3 years later:Business is booming for voyager having established their roastery and multiple locations. As with any cafe staff turnover will change the quality of the output but the fluctuations here are more dramatic than most. One day you’ll walk away with a beautiful 3rd wave drink (a well pulled shot with well textured milk and art) and another day you’ll get …none of that (see pic).Good coffee selections including some signature drinks, and great croissants, scones and other baked goods. Hard to compete with the barista quality of Chromatic a few blocks down the road, but they go the extra mile with friendly customer service. The one register game combined with their popularity means you will likely encounter a long line, and the regulars like to set up shop for hours so seating can be limited.Update: they added some amazing baristas to the roster, Julian will be pouring swans all day👌
Good coffee but they dont have venti options.
Love love their Santiago!!! Awesome coffee blends all around.
A very welcoming place and the best part is friendly staff. Not sure how they do it but they dont forget your name at all. Funny story - I placed an order of 2 dark roast and went back to my my table to enjoy it. 40 mins later I realized that I wanted to enjoy their amazing, most reviewed avocado toast. I went back in line to place an order and I didnt have to repeat my name. The lady already took care of placing the order on my name and I was like whats going on, did this really happen?. There were like 20 odd more orders between my two orders and she still recognized me!So, so amazing! I love to go back to this place.
So fire, but plz bring back the goat cheese + pepper jelly toast. It was a work of art and everyone misses it
Very nice place I sat outside I was there because I was having a car stereo put in my car across the street so I wanted a cup of coffee now add banana nut bread orange cranberry bread and muffins all kinds of delicacies I recommend it
This place has a great vibe to it. In my visit spanning over 3 hot coffees (americano, latte, cortado), I saw a lot of chatting going around the customers which added a lot of warmth to the space. There were the usual laptop users buried in their work, but the others including the coffee house team were communicating freely. The place is a little tightly packed with seating and finding a place is usually in between occupied tables, but then that is charming on it own. The coffee is very good and the toasts that were served around neighboring tables looked great in presentation and seemed very appetizing.
Valencia is one of the signature coffee. Actually that coffee wasn’t my style. However, I liked the very friendly staff and the small but pleasant outdoor table.l had a good time!
Ordered some handcrafted coffee, but this is more like sugar drinks instead of coffee
Amazing service and great roast. Their espresso is super tasty and very smooth but with good flavors. They also have several coffee based creations featuring orange blossoms and other things. If youre not sure what to get, just ask and they take a good amount of time and patient explaining everything. Really positive vibes here. Also a good place to study but its not too quiet here.
Voyager Craft Coffee is indeed an unique place to lighten up your morning! Their signature coffee has a distinct spicy taste which feels amazing in combination with the coffee they add. I was pleased to have receivedy order in time! I also ordered Avacado bread which tasted equally awesome.Cons:This place maybe too crowded and youll have to stay in a queue for placing your order. This queue extend out of the shop typically on weekend mornings! I am sure its a testimony of the service and the taste they provide, however, a little consideration of handling over-crowding and this shall be an addictive coffee place for me!
Absolutely loved their Matcha Latte.
Update as of 3/18/2020: Sam and Lauren continue to run this place like superheroes. Not only do they have great drinks *and* beans, but they are, quite simply, good neighbors. This was the first coffee shop my wife and I tried after we got married back in 2016 - when our marriage and this shop were still quite new. We keep going back because we love it. The way theyre handling the covid crisis right now is nothing short of upstanding. I couldnt be any more proud to be a customer. I would give this place ten stars if I could.Update as of 5/2/18: the new Tokyo drink is insanely delicious. It is so good. I cant even believe how good it is.I last updated my review here six months ago. Six months and tons and tons of lattes and iced mochas later, I continue to come back. Sometimes its crowded and I have to wait, but its a price Im willing to pay for the tremendously good service and tremendously good drinks and food. I used to wander the south bay looking for a good cup of coffee. I still wander from time to time, but this is home now.Theyve got great customer service. For example, last week I was a klutz and knocked over my wifes drink and decided to make a disaster. Sam compd us a drink to make up for it. I come in and the person at the register often recognizes me and is always friendly and outgoing. To people who havent been in before they do a great job explaining what they offer and what theyre about. They are an incredibly busy shop, but they actually care about their customers, and it shows.Sam and Lauren really do have a great operation here. Im lucky because its right down the street. Its the best coffee shop in the south bay that Ive found. You will not be disappointed.
This is my favorite coffee place. They have delicious pastries, the best is the banana bread but they dont have it all the times 😔. They have a vegan chocolate chip cookie but no gluten free option. If you crave savory, the avocado toast is a must try! The staff is always cheerful and lovely.
I couldnt get coffee cause I have to refrain from coffee right now. It seems like a very nice place to have coffee.
The best coffee in the bay, since we discovered it recently a month ago, we visited them at least 8-9 times! They have an excellent choice of specialty flavors from across the world that are superb tasting. You can taste the flavors of everything they say, not like rest of the sugary coffees. Very artisanal and friendly!
Amazing coffee. I wish I could have a large size with 4 espresso shots but again Im an espresso fiend
Awesome coffee/tea/toasts/pastries. Friendly and helpful baristas. Only downsides are that during peak hours, a cramped parking lot + long wait times to order does not a happy caffeineholic make. You might even question why youre waiting for a $4.90 cup of coffee...so try to come in when its a bit less crowded, and enjoy an iced Savannah with goat cheese & pepper jelly toast :)Iced Savannah: 4.5/5Iced Bali: 3.5/5Hot London Fog w/almond milk: 4.5/5Iced Tea (any): 4/5Avo Toast: 4.5/5Goat Cheese Toast: 5/5
Good but pricey coffee. Interesting named drinks, but a decent spot to hang out at.
This is a friends favorite coffee shop, so we have been meeting here during the pandemic to catch up. In addition to delicious espresso options (I particularly like the Tokyo and Marrakesh options), they have some snacks (avocado toast) and a spacious outdoor seating area with shade.
Interesting flavors and the sandwiches were delicious!
Very sweet and accommodating staff. They went far beyond what was expected to provide excellent customer service. Great Business!
