Pharmacy told us prescription in morning wouldnt be filled until after 6 p.m. because theyre busy giving vaccination shots. rite aid seems more concerned with treating people who arent sick then giving the sick people there medication. Ended up going to CVS and getting medicine within 10 minutes

I have been meaning to write a review online for awhile now and this evenings visit to my local rite aid was no less of a fantastic experience. I have unfortunately been dealing with some medical issues this year which have caused me to have to go to the pharmacy a lot more than usual. Additionally, all 3 of my kids had their wisdom teeth taken out this year, which meant visits to pick up antibiotics, steroids, pain meds etc as well. May, the pharmacist is a gem! This lady is professional, kind, competent and automatically will consult me when she sees its a new medication! She knows me by name and she makes me feel like my kids and I are in good hands! the name of the pharmacy cashier is eluding me at the moment - UPDATE her name is LeeAnna but she deserves equal kudos. Always greets me with a big smile, very competent and always makes me feel important!Tonight, after my pharmacy pick-up I was attended at the front checkout by an associate named Terri. She apologized profusely for making me wait (I really didnt wait that long) and that she was alone this evening and I could see she was running between the ice cream counter and checkout. The lady in front of me was trying to find a certain flavor of thrifty ice cream in the freezer (it was buy 2 get 1 free) and Terri even ran over to check if perhaps the customer had missed it because she couldnt find any - there wasnt anymore unfortunately but I was there and Terri did NOT have to go out of her way to run over and double check. Especially in light of the fact that there was no one else helping out. I want to add that not once did Terri come out as resentful or upset due to her predicament, making me even more impressed with her customer service skills.The only reason Im giving this store 3 instead of 5 stars is because its apparent that some changes need to be made with regards to additional staffing. This was not he first time that there has only been one person having to cover both counters. Im VERY pleased with my local rite aid!UPDATED RESPONSE TO RITE AID REPLY: Im confused... isnt what I wrote count as my thoughts? Why would I go on your twitter and say what? Read my review? If someone wanted to genuinely speak directly to me wouldnt someone email me or something?
