The lady pharmacist who helps the drive thru clients today, at 11:15am, was extremely rude. She has been rude for every encounter, but today she was worse than usual. I have to get tested for covid due to my job, and she told me I shouldnt be coming there to get tested. When I told her I had to for my job she continued to tell me I shouldnt be. I havent been rude to her and dont deserve the disrespect she gives every time. If she doesnt like her job she should quit.
Very horrible management at this store! And rudeThey charged my card and put back my items on the shelfs after they told me they would put them on hold for me since they had already charged my card.Complaint was definitely filled. I hope they get new people to work there who actually like the job and not miserable ones.
I have been dealing with pharmacies my entire life. Since downtown Walgreens closed I have had the misery of dealing with the incompetence at this location. Every month they fail to process insurance and prescriptions correctly. Totally soulless and unwilling to admit their errors. I love having seizures because professionals cant figure out a prescription they fill every month. They need some serious lessons in the healthcare process.
I called Walgreens multiple times, and every time the employees were really rude, to say the least! On the last incident, when I asked can I speak with your manager?, the employee acted like he didnt hear me!!When I asked him for his name, his answer was how can I help you?, and when I answered, I want to speak with your manager or give me your name please, his response was, I cannot help you! They expect me to trust them with life saving medications? Am I insane??Walgreens doesnt fit in Santa Cruz.
By far one of the worst places to go to get your prescriptions filled in Santa Cruz. They don’t open on time, they are closed daily but don’t reflect that on the web site. Several times the woman at the drive up prescription pick up window has been unbelievably rude. I will pay more and go somewhere else from now on. It is not worth the aggravation and the mistreatment exhibited by the staff.
Very RUDE and disrespectful young man and I would be embarrassed if my grown kids talked to anyone that way. It was 9pm and very few people were in the store, but because my nose was not fully covered with my mask he told me to leave. I explained that I am vaccinated and have a medical condition that made it hard to breathe when nose & mouth covered. He waived and said bye. I did leave.Good job Walgreens for teaching employees customer service and for losing a loyal paying customer.
Not great customer service, for some reason they refuse to check their stock in other stores for you saying they cant. Wouldnt recommend going here. CVS in this area seems much much better. But Best place to go is WestSide Pharmacy. When you call, you get a real person and they actually do their job and help you.
No contest, the worst treatment Ive ever received at a pharmacy in my life.
Very rude employee. I usually dont have any issues at this Walgreens but the cashier at the photo booth made me never want to come here again and I wont. I have to ride my bike everywhere I go and I recently bought a brand new bike an expensive one and I didnt have my bike lock I wanted to just drop off a package and I brought my bike inside. I didnt think it would be a huge problem but this cashier made me feel belittled and told me this is going to sound bad but Im not going to touch anything until that thing is out of the store. Excuse me thats no way to talk to your customer he couldve just politely said hey next time could you please leave it outside or something but to deny me service completely for it was not okay! Its not like I was riding the bike in the store!!
Brandon and Nancy went above and beyond in providing great customer service in helping find crutches in a emergency!!
The worst customer service ever! Came on vacation and forgot my inhaler. Then I was having respiratory issues and decided to transfer my prescription to get it filled here so I could enjoy the rest of my trip. Took 3 calls to get it taken care of (spoke in depth about my issue and need for the medication), got a notification it was ready to pick up, only to be told when I arrived that I couldn’t get the medicine because I was 2 days early from the 30 days between refills. I wouldn’t be allowed to pick it up until the day I go home! Never mind this was never mentioned in our previous conversations. The guy was extremely RUDE, no explanation for why I got a notification that I could pick it up or why this was never mentioned before in my numerous conversations with them. Now I have to transfer it back to my original pharmacy and suffer the last 2 days of vacation. DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE A LOT OF TIME AND BE TREATED VERY RUDELY!!!
Save yourself a headache and time and DO NOT GO THERE!!!Called them to check on when my vaccine would be available and a pharmacist told me it would be a couple of days. I called them 4 days later -- they said it was never going to be delivered there in the first place. This place is a JOKE! they did not even bother to call me back and leave a message. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
Recently I was in Walgreens and had to wait a long time for a vaccination. That’s not the issue, turns out I needed to utilize the restroom and it was closed. I was told to go across the street to Subway? I ended up going to Safeway instead. What is going on for a major company like Walgreens to not have a public restroom?
Do NOT go to this pharmacy unless you want a place that constantly loses your prescriptions, notifies you that a prescription is ready for pickup when its not, sends you a text messages every five minutes saying to come pickup your prescription but then lose it when you go in, or keeps sending requests to refill a prescription to your doc that you never asked it to do. Their online customer support is also horrible, constantly hounding you if you still need help if you dont reply back within 30 seconds when youre still typing to them of the issues youre having with their service. Then when you complain to them about rushing you, they just abruptly end the chat on their end leaving you in pain and misery because they still havent resolved issues with your pain medication when youre hurting from post-op surgery. This place does not care about you or their business.
Awful service at Pharmacy; regular merchandise checkout often understaffed. Watch for overcharges -- specials rung up at normal price, pricing shelf labels not matching merchandise, low prices shown in large type accompanied by tiny print saying the price only applies with coupon or if you two or more, etc.
Went for a drive-through COVID test - after one half hour, a single car had been serviced (there were six in line). Thats shameful - perhaps Walgreens gets some government money for pretending to give COVID tests. Will never shop at Walgreens after witnessing such cynical behavior.
Scheduled a COVID test. Arrived on my bicycle (dont own a car). Waited in line for 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment. I arrived at the window for the person working to tell me I couldnt be helped because I wasnt in a vehicle. I let her know Id taken a test here on my bike before and I dont own a car. She still refused stating safety concerns and recommended that I get an UBER to take my test. This person recommended that I pay for an UBER and potentially put that driver at risk so I could take my test. Let that sink in.After I asked if they could come outside and test me or if I could go inside. No option. So basically you need to have access to a car to get tested here. Which is weird because they tested me before while I rode through on my bike. This was frustrating to say the least. Yall get money from the government to test. Make it more accommodating and accessible. You shouldnt be denied for a test just because you dont have access to a car.
This Walgreens has continuously failed to fulfill my elderly fathers prescriptions, which he takes for COPD, for over 2 weeks. The doctor had to phone them multiple times after their system continuously showed no record of the prescription.I spoke to his pulmonologist. Per the doctor, he would usually get placed on permanent hold when he tried to contact the pharmacy. Eventually he got through to the voicemail for the pharmacist. Left a message. No call back. After trying to reach the pharmacist for several days, he eventually reached one. He gave them an earful. They swore the prescription would be filled. My father received a text message indicating that the prescription was available for pickup. He goes to pick it up. Once again, they claim there is no record of the prescription despite them sending a text saying that it was ready.Rinse and repeat for 2-3 weeks. Eventually this culminated with me having to take my father to the emergency room with a blood oxygen saturation of 83%. Another day or two without his meds and he likely would have been dead.During his stay in the ER his pulmonologist once again contacts the pharmacy. They managed to finally fulfill his prescription for prednisone. But not any of the other medications he was supposed to receive. They, once again, had no record of those. After he nearly died.Fine for candy and soda, but avoid this place if you actually need your medication. Pharmacy needs to get its act together. Severe levels of disorganization and incompetence that are simply not acceptable in healthcare.
The ladies who work there have been personable. The men who work there are rude af and behave as if they are being inconvenienced when asking where something might be located.
Most people that work here hate their job and would rather you didnt come in.
I found the pharmacy very difficult and totally disorganized. Stopped by to pickup a simple prescription and was told they had no prescription on file, we noticed the doctors office who stated the request was called in hours ago. Returning the second time, the pharmacist found it on the counter, it was never entered into their system . I was told to return in 45 minutes. I received a text stating that the prescription was ready for pickup return for the third time, and found the pharmacy was Closed for lunch ! I was told by the cashier to return in about 45 minutes that the pharmacy closes on Saturday for a lunch break. I’m returning again for the forth time, hopefully, I can finally pick it up this time !
Very disorganized and unprofessional. I waited for more than 2 hours in the line to take a drive through COVID test. Stay away from this place.
Alison the pharmacists was aggressive & Rude. Im going to change my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Unbelievable customer service. Extremely disappointed
Every time I come in, I am welcomed with a warm smile, especially when Brandon is working. He is hands down my favorite, he is always happy to help and with a smile😁. I first met Brandon when he worked at CVS on Mission. Management was terrible there. It seems a lot happier too! So shout, out to Brandon Thank you for always putting a smile on my face😁😁💜. YOU ROCK!
Doesnt even have a working phone system. Got hung up on 4 times and put on hold for 25 minutes another time.
Rude and bad at their jobs
A good drug store. Was sent to find face cream for my wife. I was spotted in the notions and potions aisle in under a minute. I was directed to the desired cream and was on my way in two minutes more. The nice lady who helped me was very knowledgeable, very efficient, and very friendly.
Its exactly what you would expect from a drug store
Its where my girlfriend gets her drugs through her medical insurance.
Went in to print photos, and got held up by printer issues. Brandon and Katherine were super helpful and friendly with resolving the issues! Honestly my best experience with Walgreens!
Ive always have been given really good service there.
This is by FAR the worst pharmacy service in Santa Cruz County. I havent ever had a smooth transaction here. The automated service will call you to tell you your prescription is ready, but then somehow magically they have no record of your prescription when you get there. They need to get it together.Im switching pharmacies for SURE.
Drug store
Commenting on pharmacy staff. As a medication technician I’m aware of how things should be. I have been using this location for over 5 years. They have the occasional hiccup like anywhere else but no consistent issues. Overall the staff is well trained, professional and competent. The pharmacist is knowledgeable and friendly. I feel some of the negative remarks on here are unfair and baseless.
The drive through pharmacy regularly takes 20+ minutes, and inside is not much better. Id recommend going anywhere else in town.
Best drugstore in town!! Friendly customer service. Fast pharmacy. The makeup sections are always so clean and organized.
Transfering all my scripts to cvs after being at walgreens my whole life.Walgreens must have one of the most toxic customer service I have ever encountered. Just tried to ask why my scripts werent filled after I called and their phone system said that one was filled and the lady saidYou shoupdnt give me attitude because ill be the one filling your prescriptionIs that supposed to be a threat?
The pharmacists are very friendly and are always willing to help out if you have any questions.
If I could leave negative stars I would. I live pretty close to hear and unfortunately Ive been here multiple times to experience the worst ran establishment in town. Seriously the worst customer service Ive ever witnessed. Its Everytime I come in. This time, I came to drive through (only one in line) and it took them 13 minutes for them to even see me and that was because I grabbed my RX and slid it in the box and closed it for them. Multiple chances given and this was the last. Going to HornSnyder down the street...
Waiting to long to pick up a prescription, every time, no matter if is outside or inside, you need to have more personal to help the customers!Unfortunately I have to come to get my mom’s medicine, other ways I won’t be here.
Good selection with everything pharmaceutical and quick stop for cosmetics or an afternoon snack.
Everything I come to the pharmacy there is a line and not enough clerks to helpSo frustrating
I called to refill my rx because I was in the area for a dr apt, i usually go elsewhere. I called to refill it and the woman told me my rx was expired and I needed to contact my dr to renew it. I frantically called my dr because i needed this prescription that day, and my dr is always slow to get back to me. Luckily I checked the bottle and saw that it didnt expire for several months and had several refills. I called them back and luckily spoke with a dif pharmasist who told me i was correct, he wasnt sure why the last pharmasist said that. So that was already very stressfull. Then i get there and waited 30 min in the drive thru, so yea i was on my phone while waiting. It took me a few seconds to realize the person in front of me left, and when i pulled up the pharmasist scoffed at me, saying what were you sleeping back there?. I was so taken aback i didnt respond, i just wanted my rx. She continued to bark at me thru the intercom and said no thank you or goodbyes. Never coming here again.
Good place to pick up a gallon of milk or OTC drugs.
Manager here is very closed minded and extremly RUDE! I was walking around looking at different things, For about 30 minutes, she came and told me I had spent too much time in the store and was told to leave, I was staying at a local neighborhood motel, and had shopped in that store every day for weeks! Spending an average of $40.00 each time! This experience left me humiliated and embarrassed! She was loud on purpose, so that the entire store could hear her speaking! Where Im from you dont speak to people like this, especially paying customers, she said they dont allow homeless people, off the street in here just for the record I spent $130.00 dollars a day for a motel, $40.00 of merchandise from her store a day! Plus whatever mealse am not homeless! She should not be working in this or any other place where customers from anywhere are served. If I will never spend another penny at this store or anyother Wallgreens store, my suggestion is, you do the same!
Every time I come in to pick up my prescription, there is a 1/2 hour line. Often they have to contact my physician for prescriptions they already had approved before. The pharmacists & staff there are friendly, relative to how overworked they are.
Had just what I needed.
The guy who works here is a f**king p**ick he kicked me, my cousins and elderly aunts With no warning, all because I played with a pool noodle and then later I fell
Always a hustle to get refills the wait times are just too much and they seem to not know what they they are doing most of the time
Transferred all my prescriptions from CVS to Walgreens! Drive-up is convenient! Walgreens has ALL products. CVS carries CVS products only. Please open a Walgreens in Capitola!! But Ill drive the extra 8 min in the meantime!
I love that store !!!!Every time I go I always get good customer service 😀😃
Slow service. 1 person infront of me and 10mins to check out.
If o could give a zero I would horrible customer service, would definitely never recomend
Slow. Rude employees. Terrible service. Prescriptions are never ready when they say they are.
Delays in wait times more often than not. Unhelpful and unreliable.
Good enough
Waiting now over a half an hour to pick up a prescription. Pharmacy is way understaffed.
Poor customer service. User error on their side caused complications with a medication refill that they tried to blame on my misunderstanding. I wont be using this pharmacy again.
It was good.
Rude management.
Awesome service
Very clean
I really like this Walgreens! It is super conveniently located, has good inventory and variety, decent prices, and good service
