Never enough staff! Ever! Makes for a really horrible customer service experience because you can never find anyone to help you. The people who do work there are very nice though! But CVS needs to hire a lot more of them!!!
People there weren’t helpful at all. Bad customer service
I live for the pharmacy! The techs are great, and the pharmacist is wonderful. They all know my scripts and are extremely professional. They go the extra mile.
I am disabled and was treated like dirt by the cashier Daisy, at the disabled checkout. She was confrontational and rude. I GREW up in Santa Cruz and am NEVER returning to this location!
Used to be a comfortable place to shop at. Now I avoid going here. Some of the staff make for an extremely uncomfortable shopping experience. Including the new security who followed my elderly mother out to her car and then proceeded to ask her which one was her car... unfortunately wont be shopping here anymore. Its quite sad how downhill things have went.
A shout out to the staff in the pharmacy (Sergio and others who names I did not catch) and at the check-out- thanks for being so nice about it with all you put up with. I had some really good experiences and interactions while I was in the store, despite it obviously being a very hectic and stressful time for everyone, what with the wildfires and the chronic fray of life in Santa Cruz. Yall are really doing an exemplary job! Also, the kindest security guard I have ever met :)
I noticed on more than one occasion that this woman named Debbie, she was short and blonde and middle aged, seemed to target shoppers who were people of color. I’m not sure if it’s just a coincidence, but it looks as if she’s singling out darker skinned shoppers. I’ve heard some troubling news about this woman, please look into it!! I don’t want to support a store like this!
If you are going to be stabbed at a cvs it will probably be this one tbh, once you make it past the guards at the front of the walled fortress that is CVS on front street you will probably be ok but beware at the checkout I am pretty sure the cashiers get some kind of kickback for signing you up for some recurring membership thing it was heavily implied I should do it and I’m not sure how I went in for an iced tea and left with some sort of cvs credit card thing
Every time before I come here I call and make sure my prescriptions will be ready because I do not want to wait around in the pharmacy-especially during a pandemic. Every time, without me asking, they promise me when my prescriptions will be ready. And every time I get there well after their promised time of my prescriptions beimg ready andthey ask me to wait 15 minutes for them to fill my prescriptions! I took my business elsewhere.
I have NEVER gotten my medication at the time they say it will be ready.Ive lost so much of my valuable time here......avoid this place at all costs.
We received an Automated phone call saying we had a medication to pick up, called back and went through the automated system, and received a pickup time. When my wife who speaks english as a second language, tried to pick up the medication, the pharmacist she spoke to was very rude and impatient. In addition, when my wife asked her to speak slowly she would not. I assumed it was some sort of misunderstanding so i returned inside to clarify what had happened, and ask why their automated system called us if there is nothing to pick up. I made the drive into town for this and she acted completely unapologetic, and flat out rude when i brought up the fact that something may be wrong with their system. Very rude woman, we are changing pharmacies. Who speaks to customers this way???
The refuse to answer their phone in the CVS Pharmacy. Not a very good way to run a company, in my opinion.
Well řun & clean.
Always clean and organized despite the many homeless people that are wondering around.
Your typical CVS.
The people that come here are pretty sketchy, but they have a decent amount of stuff and they keep their store pretty clean considering the crowd. They never seem to have enough people on the registrars and Im kind of sad that the back entrance/cashier is no longer used.
Employees are nice. Its not their fault the store is ALWAYS lacking in product! Its the CANADIAN owners that are the problem! Ever since it became a CANADIAN company its gone downhill! So I take my money and shop at Walgreens! I always find the product I want/need. Employees are awesome too!
This CVS would likely not be in business if the location wasnt so close to downtown. This is due to the poor quality of their pharmacy staff Supervisors, long wait times, and abundance of homeless people hanging out against the walls right next to the entrance outside. This CVS does offer generally friendly cashiers, very friendly security guards (in the store, not outside), and a wide variety of products (useful ones, such as utilities, candles, and kitchenware). *However*, the quality of service at the pharmacy is consistently below average compared to other CVS pharmacies. Individual pharmacists are mostly good but their Pharmacy Supervisors, Stacey in particular, seems to do the absolute minimum for patient care (as in, they never call you back, they keep providing wrong information, and fail to fill prescriptions by the date they themselves provide). I dislike how the pharmacy supervisor is so quick to throw her subordinates under the bus rather than take responsibility herself managing it. This is a great example of how location is everything. Out of all the CVS Pharmacies, every single one nearby is better unfortunately.
Christmas Eve, every one is rushed with the last minute things they need. But the poor cashier who was all by himself was still helpful, pleasant and didnt make any one feel that he was hassled. Waiting till last minute on a holiday? Never know what to expect. I wish I had gotten his name but definitely appreciated his attitude.
Well kept store with wide variety of products
The pharmacy doesn’t pick up there phone I have to call and hang up EVERY TIME they don’t care for our health
Because it is human, with people of all walks of life, the clerks are helpful and friendly. Wide variety of products. Easy access free parking.
Place is dirty and gross.Homeless people sleeping against the walls outside. And there are police there every time I go. Awesome dive.
Came in just looking for allergy meds got help immediately some directed me right where I needed to find allergy meds and was checked out fast.
The employees are very helpful, was were I bought most of my beauty supplies since the closest and convenient, But Loved their rewards program you can combine there reward bucks with coupons and staff help you if something is mislabeled .
The store only has like 3 carts and 2 baskets. Are they trying to limit how much you can buy? They are chronically short staffed. Most of the time there are at most 2 registers open, even when there are 7 or 8 people in line. This place would probsbly be out of business if it wasnt for its location. It is far below the standard set by most other CVS stores.
Hands down the worst CVS Ive ever been to. If I could leave negative stars I would. The staff is incredibly rude, and Im not sure anyone there actually knows what theyre doing. Id get a notification that I had a prescription ready, go to the pharmacy, and have them tell me itd be a few more hours or days. It could take WEEKS to get a simple refill done. Pharmacists act personally offended when you ask them questions, and most of the time respond with a confused, I dont know.
Conveniently located drug store. Pretty handy, but a CV crowd Kansas to hang out there.
PLEASE READ THIS. So today I was in the store looking for lip glosses. I opened one but never put it on my hand or lips because I was just checking the texture and the color of the lip gloss (I also wanted to buy it so I had it in my hand). A female staff (about 40 to 50) came to me and said, Just to warn you, we have cameras on and they dont allow testing in here. They are gonna kick you out. She was referring to testing marks that I made in ULTA (with testers), not in CVS. And I explained that I didnth try anything in the store and those were made in another place. She continued to say that she warns me because people in Santa Cruz have diseases and if I put those onto my lips, I will get sick. I emphasized again that I didnt try anything in CVS. I cant believe that this is happening to me, maybe because Im Asian or other reasons, but if this gets to anyone, please be advised.
Had the worst experience ever here all the workers aside from the pharmacy but including management were rude, racist, with stuck up attitudes when asked simple questions so I can buy items to pay their salary, I will not be going here anymore and will be making sure others know about the way this place treats good paying customers
I have always had my prescription filled promptly here.
Trolls and junkies all over that parking lot beware
The asian male pharmacist is absolutely inconsistent with his demeanor to customers and gives out false information to retain business. Do NOT get your meds filled here.
Register lines are incredibly slow
The manager cant manage his temper towards non-homeless customers, how is he towards the homeless population? Manager has cursed out loud at some elderly lady that is in a power (wheel)chair, for running; into the customer service counter with her powerchair, bcuz some small child belonging to another customer, had pushed tha drive button, as that child was walking by the elderly woman in her chair....I heard that and picked up my phone and purse and walked to WaLGReeNS, down on Laurel Ave....
Everything you need to keep you healthy.
DO NOT FILL YOUR PRESCRIPTION AT THIS CVS. I had the most horrendous experience with this CVSs pharmacy; I had a prescription a little bit early for pickup, had my doctor call it in twice and the pharmacist refused to dispense the prescription at their discretion because it was too early despite the fact that my prescribing doctor called in. They told him the same thing.. that they would not dispense the prescription because they didnt want to. Horrendous customer service and the pharmacys staff is so unaccommodating to the point where they try to find reasons not to assist you. I would even go so far as to suggest that sketchy activity may be going on with that pharmacy staff
Always understaffed. I went in there to ask the pharmacy a question before buying one of the off the shelf Medical Products. End result I left before buying anything because I couldnt get anyone to help.
The larger woman with blond hair who works at night is the most laziest checkout person I’ve ever come across the most awful customer service I’ve ever experienced
Friendly sales associates. Typical CVS
Takes more than an hour to get a flu shot
Stopped in just now, store is closed!
A bit pricey but very clean.
Very scary cvs. Weird staff that works there. Homeless people inside and around. Its a very unwelcoming store.
Too busy too much waiting
Good shop
A typical CVS.
