Our hot tub suddenly stopped working, and I reached out to APPI for a service visit. Jon responded promptly and offered a few things I could check first, mainly items I had already checked related to power. But heres the better part: after I replied that I had already checked those things, Jon went further to give me suggestions, and ended up directing me to a fuse that was not obviously blown, how to check it, and where to find a replacement part. All without pushing a service visit! You dont often find this level of helpful service these days, and it speaks to the character of a person who knows the value of earning future business over just a quick buck. Thanks Jon.

Actual pool cleaning service was fine - thats the 2 stars. Pool repairs were always some sort of a mess. There were a few incidents but the last one was over a leaking filter. After one attempted repair it was still leaking, so I sent Jon - the owner - a picture and requested an appointment. He said I was in the work queue. A few days later, I go into my backyard and his tech is there. No appointment, no text to ask if this is a good time, and no mask! I chat with him and he rudely tells me that this wasnt a repair that should have been attempted (then why did he attempt it?), and that the whole filter now needs to be replaced. I ask him why he isnt wearing a mask and he tells me that its fine because he has been vaccinated, and that hell wear a mask if I insist on it!? I speak to Jon about this and he tells me that I shouldnt expect good workmanship *and* courteous service. Ludicrous. Ive taken my business elsewhere, and have found a technician that can do good work, and be polite at the same time.

We have been using APPI for almost seven years now and have enjoyed consistently excellent service. Recently they fixed a leak in the system, which involved extensive replumbing work. APPI walked us through all the steps and worked with our timeline. They completed the job in a professional and cost-conscious manner and to our complete satisfaction. Even though we have only used APPI for repairs, filter cleaning, and vacation service and not for weekly pool maintenance, they have always treated us like valuable customers. Highly recommended!

Food was good but they had charged my order to another customers card and they didnt give me any mustard for my.corn dogs.

We have been customers of APPI for many years. We buy all our pool supplies from them and they have serviced/repaired our hot tub and pool machinery efficiently for a very long time. Recently we had to buy a new (expensive) pool pump which we purchased through APPI and they installed it. We had multiple teething problems but Jon Roddick, the owner, was very responsive and returned promptly to deal with the issues....one of which according to the manufacturer s technicians.... they had never seen or experienced before!! All is now working and we appreciate the fine level of customer service Jon provided.

Pump went out after 20 years... Phil came out and confirmed... ordered new one and 2 days later we were up and running.m👍

I had a very bad experience with this company. after eight years im finally giving APPI the review it deserves. the owner Jon tried to take advantage of my bad english and he tried to be with me. When I rejected him he raised the price because he was at the platform to do that. I was paying the employees anyway, but one of them made my kids clean the pool with nets and he had a vacuum that was perfectly capable of cleaning the pool. It came to the point that the employees would charge me $150 dollars just for the drive up to my home, after I just waited almost a month for them to come. They were also being racist. Just be aware and dont let them take advantage of you if you are alone or single.

A customer of mine, who has a pool with a lot of deferred maintenance, went to Appi Pool and Spa and got some great help in the showroom. I suggested that they consider hiring Jon to come out and give everything a once over to make sure everything is functioning properly. Long story short, he fixed a few things that had been overlooked, and they ended up liking Jon so much, they decided to hire him to maintain pool. Now the family could just enjoy the pool and not have to wonder if it is being done correctly. It is not every day a customer goes out of their way to call you, and thank you for a referral, but they did.

Im trying to understand why this guys are getting good reviews? Not that my input really matters but let me tell you my experience, I called for an air switch for Jacuzzi tub, and no they dont carry that brand I get that, but being rude and tell me to go out as I was making a call to locate it, its not professional, I often as business owner get ask different questions regarding many different things and in the best way I help direct people, as theyre in this industry Im sure they know, just not willing, I wouldnt recommend their service or products to anyone, good luck.

Ive used APPI Pool & Spa many times over the last several years. Most recently, they ordered the cover operator (arm) for my hot tub and a custom cover. Their staff called as soon as it arrived, and it fits like a glove. I always recommend this shop to business associates, friends and family that have a pool or spa. Good people, reliable service.

Last week I urgently needed a part for my Jacuzzi. APPI Pool didnt have the part in stock, but they were really nice and professional. They made a few calls and located the part in some other shop on the West Side. So I went over and got it there. Very grateful!
