We placed our first order directly through Alder & Tweed in June 2021 as a test to see how they are before placing any large orders. We have waited patiently for our order as we were told it would be a September arrival. In mid-October I saw on their website that the products we ordered were in stock and available. I contacted Alder & Tweed for an update to our shipment date. They let me know that the order will be fulfilled on their next product arrival in December. Even though they are selling them as an in-stock item currently! A professional company would fulfill backorders first. One cannot know if the customer service team is unable to see accurate shipping details, or if they are genuinely unorganized. We will not be placing any further orders.
Beautiful and elegant pieces that look great in any space. Responsive customer care from a knowledgeable team.
We have worked with Alder & Tweed for three years. We have sold hundreds of thousands of dollars of their furniture to many may satisfied customers. After reading some of the reviews on here, people clearly have no concept of the furniture industry in general.Furniture, no matter how well packaged can be damaged in transit. Its not a lightweight amazon package, were talking some of the pieces they sell weigh hundreds of pounds. Now, imaging that really heavy furniture being moved between multiple trucks as it traverses the country! Also, owing to the handmade nature of their furniture, dont expect marbles and woods to be identical. If you want that, then you need to purchase furniture with a veneer, or you need to have a custom item made where marble is cut from the same exact slab. For the price point, Alder & Tweed Furniture is excellent quality, above the promotional end of the market (Think Ashley, Bobs etc and on par with Ethan Allen, Restoration Hardware etc).
I bought a bar cart and one of the wheels broke off and when I asked to buy the broken wheel – the wheels that came were different but I feel they are so much better than the original. It makes the cart look classy and sleek. It was so easy to replace them. I love this bar cart. Very elegant. Thank you so much.
Adler & TweedFirst of all, don’t buy from them.I purchase a coffee table and two end tables. When delivered, two out of the three pieces we damaged.I sent everything back to Custom Homes where I made the purchase and reordered a new set. When I received the second set, the end tables were fine, the coffee table had a yellow wood top that should be gray to match the end tables. BTW, there is no color option, this comes with gray wood tops. After waiting three month for the coffer table replacement, I received a call from Custom Homes the it was in. They told me the frame was damaged, and they want to replace the frame with the yello one I currently have to replace. My comments are Adler and Tweed have no quality checks, and have no pride in their work. It’s just amazing how they can send out non-match sets, and, products that are damaged from the start. So, again, don’t bother with this company, they simple don’t get it. It’s too bad.
Really a great service, The designers are have outperformed to our expectations.
Exceptionally great products and recommend.
Same experience as others. Bought a nice looking settee. It had a one year warranty. After 13 months, the single-ply-toilet-paper thin leather started peeling off of its cloth backing. No leather cleaners had been used on it. It never sat in the sun.Dont waste your money.
We have been buying Alder and Tweed for years. We furnished our main Las Vegas home and our California beach house with a great deal of their furnishings. At first glance the furniture looks like it may have been a bit out of our budget but it is actually priced very affordable. They have great contemporary and some Americana looks. The service and delivery is always on time. We tell our friends to shop at this store and they are always grateful for the customer service and beautiful interior designs.
The top of the leather on my Manchester Chairs that were in a new vacation home and never used peeled off. Do not purchase leather furniture from this company.
I purchased 6 Alder and Tweed Cloister leather dining chairs a few years ago. I bought them from a high end rustic furniture store in Salt Lake City Utah. They werent cheap and claimed that they were REAL top grain leather. We were in the process of building a high end home and so I wanted to make sure these chairs were going to look good and last a real long time. At first the chairs seemed really nice. A few months later, I noticed some small cracks in the leather on a few of the chairs. The cracks werent large enough for me to be alarmed but I did notice them. We dont have any pets or small children and we never even sat on them while living in a rental home during our construction period of a year and a half. In fact, the first time I even looked at them again after I noticed the small cracks was when we were moving them into our new home. At this point, the cracks were larger and looked as if the leather was going to peel off. I called the store that I purchased them from and they suggested I contact Alder and Tweed because the chairs only had a one year warranty. The owner of the furniture store said they no longer sell any Alder and Tweed furniture because of all the problems they have had with it. I contacted Alder and Tweed and explained the situation to the secretary and she gave me an email address of someone I should contact about it. I asked her if I could just call them and she said no. I emailed them and attached pictures ( by this time, the leather was literally peeling off of most of the chairs). I waited for over a month for a response. I called the secretary back and she said they were working on it and would get back to me soon. Almost a month after that I finally got a response. Their response was that they did indeed use REAL top gain leather and the reason why they were peeling like that is because I either used leather cleaner on them or they were sitting by the sun. I emailed them back and told them that I have owned leather furniture for many years in the same climate and have never had this happen. Not once. They said that they were no longer under the warranty so they asked me what I wanted them to do about it. I said I would either like new chairs for a deep discount in a different fabric and I would give the original ones back to them, or I could drop the chairs off to their Salt Lake store and they can recover them (in a different fabric). They said they couldnt do any of that. They said all they could do was sell me 6 more chairs (the same ones) for a small discount. It was almost the same price that I originally bought them for at the furniture store. If you are thinking about purchasing any Alder and Tweed furniture I would strongly advise to re think that decision. Not only is their furniture cheap and doesnt hold up, but they have horrible customer service. I expected more out of a company like this. I attend the Park City showcase of homes every year. Alder and Tweed has done some interior design and does a great job at making their furniture look expensive. They also spend a great deal of money on advertising and do a good job at enticing weathly homeowners into believing that you are getting what you are paying for. Im still questioning weather these chairs really are made of REAL leather.
Excellent delivery and service!
Very nice furniture.
