The Customer Service is not that Friendly. Location is Subtle..Boba Taste Addictive

Small plain shop in an odd location in front of a bus stop, but they have a few parking spots in the alley. They have a large customizable selection of milk teas, fruit teas & more, choose your base of tea, lemonade or slush, choose your add in flavors & boba or jellies etc. They were all tasty and well balanced and tasted natural not artificial so seemed like good quality. Our new favorite spot. They had some interesting looking specialty drinks too. Oh and fried chicken, but didn’t try it.

Looked like a cute new boba/tea place so my friend and I decided to drop by after our lunch. I got the uji matcha green tea latte and my friend got the ceylon milk tea. It was free one topping with the Google check-in so I got lychee jelly added in. I got about 75% sweetness and actually wished I got it regularly sweetened since it wasnt that sweet at all. I could tell their matcha tasted pretty authentic so that was good. The ceylon milk tea tasted like any other milk tea.

Checked out Boba Lab on a Saturday afternoon. It was a quiet time, which was great because it meant I didn’t feel guilty peppering the cashier with questions about the difference between the ‘cream’ drinks and ‘marble’ drinks (seems the difference is just that former is blended together and the latter isn’t). We got the marble ube and natural taro cream. Both were truly delicious and tasted real (rather than like artificial flavoring). They let us use our reusable cups, which was great. Before they realized we had straws, they went to give us a couple and I was pleased to see they were compostable and wrapped in paper - no plastic!My only complaint was that the boba to drink ratio was a bit off. We both finished all of the boba in our drinks before the drink itself, which never really happens when we get boba other places.Would definitely return. Would perhaps just request more boba ☺️

I did an online order so i didnt get to be in contact with anyone much, but the boba tasted great, my drink was made quick and i definitely recommend!!

This place is amazing!!! They make their own whipped cream! I got the coconut cream bubble tea and my friend got a strawberry slush. They even have different types of boba! This place is fresh and the staff are wonderfully nice.

I wouldnt return to. Dont taste that great.

Because of COVID the place was not very presentable, the boba wasnt as chewable as I would like. I will still come back. But they have to do something about parking, that I give 1 star ☹

This place has more interesting flavor options than most boba places. Also they state on their menu that they dont use powdered creamer like other shops. Parking is across the street. Small shop space.They need to change their paper straw. It gets destroyed after a few sips. Maybe bamboo straw instead?Recommended drink by myself: Pandan Milk Creme

They prioritize grubhub orders over people coming in person so be ready to wait 20 minutes for them to even start making yours..and if you order grubhub expect your drink to sit there for 20 minutes before pick up time..

Banana and matcha & real taro (make sure to add egg pudding if you want it, pointing at the poster to order is not enough) drinks are OK, nothing special... They taste like slush with syrup, I didnt read the fine prints of they actually put fruits in them

Boba lab was a great experience. Me and some friends were looking for a boba place in Santa Monica, and Boba lab was the right choice.Its not the traditional boba like at Kung Fu Tea, but its sooooo good! The prices are average for boba, and theres lots of choices.Only reason Im giving it 4 stars is because it was way to sweet. I could barely finish mine (which is unusual!) Definitely wish they had a sugar % option.Bit still, I recommend this place and you should go there!

I know that in California Boba Lab is pretty common and kind of trendy but to me I was just happy to find a damn good latte! And, they use science to brew their pressed coffee! Or at least I think thats what hes doing. Well done good people!

Didnt follow the order. Taro tea tasted like milk mixed with sugar.

Super cool spot with awesome flavors. This place wont disappoint whether you want milk tea or regular iced tea drinks. I have had many of them and havent had a bad one yet.

Right at the start I was greeted in a warm manner.as that happened the employee was very patient with the time frame I was taking.there was as no one except for me and my fam there and it was rainy so maybe because the lack of people the boba was faster to make idk the environment inside the place was super chill and cool.it takes them about 5-6 minutes to make it and I think that is a pretty good time zone. The boba flavors were pretty solid and they had a wide variety. Over all this is a pretty top tear boba place for the Santa Monica Venice area. The only complaint I have is they give paper straws, but if you can get over that, it’s really good! ;)

It is such a cool and modern looking store!! Great customer service and unique waffle dog that is so yummy. They also have cold drink tumblers for boba drinks!! So awesome! I love this place! Parking is a bit tricky. There are angular parking off Pico but one way street so map before you come by car.

Best coffee shop, located in the Arts District. If you like Vanilla flavor, then you have to try Vanilla Latte. I am not a huge fan of Vanilla flavor, but the syrup that they are using just makes me speechless... (I uploaded a picture of it, as well as the place itself)

The store look very nice, is small, with parking In the back. This store is very true to their name it reminds you of a chem lab. Also has waffles for snacks. I got a Jasmine tea lemonade and it was very good

I used to like this place but every time I go now they seem to be out of something I want, whether its taro or boba. Yes, boba. One science this lab has yet to figure out is inventory.

SO MANY unique flavors. One of the best boba place Ive been to, definitely has a personality of its own. Apple Keys shaped periodic table on the wall is also adorable. I had a double chocolate waffle, which was so delicious. The strawberry marble bubble tea was such a sweet treat. Deserves to be in the heart of Santa Monicas tourist attractions rather than in a lil alcove.

I was very disappointed in this place. The tea was very watery and the boba was hard. It was not very good and a little bit pricey. The worker did put a lot of coconut milk in it. Overall the place was very clean and cute but the boba And tea was not the best.

This place is good when I crave for Boba tea and dont want to drive too far to my favorite place. Their jasmine tea is somewhat inconsistent. Most of the time its good, but there are times that it tastes really bitter.

Best Boba I might have had ever. They were accommodating for vegans and I tried the strawberry banana smoothie with almond milk and yummy Boba. Cant wait to go back!

Delicious boba! It was my first time having boba and I already want to go back and get more. I love the decor of the place too, very much like a fun chemistry lab. :)There was also great little waffles and waffle sausages.Would highly recommend.

Had to change my review from two to one star. The boba drinks are legit gross. This place is not authentic at all. They use regular lids instead of the plastic seal. The tea is just tazo. The flavorings though are what makes this place gross. Would not recommend to anyone, gave two of us headaches.The workers are nice though not enough to earn this place two stars. The boba drink was so gross.

As a boba lover in DTSM, it gets quite difficult. The closest boba place to me is that place in the corner of the Promenade. One would not even notice its there unless you have keen sense of boba smelling. So when Boba Lab opened almost two years ago, you just get my excitement. I used to come in almost everyday after work, until Ive noticed my clothes are becoming tighter.The menu was a lot smaller then but when I came in a few days ago, they had a lot more options. They even have some small meals and snacks like waffles and popcorn chicken. Ive only had their waffle before. Not the biggest fan.But their boba is on my top 10. I really like that they now have some healthier alternatives to cream and that they have flavored boba including strawberry and hazelnut bobas. I usually just get their jasmine milk tea and hazelnut boba. Yep, its bomb dot com.Theyre partnered with Five Stars so make sure to take advantage of that. Some points will get you a free drink.

I got the matcha banana as my first try for this type of drink and it was so refreshing! Also ordered the chocolate waffilicious and waba cheese-both were so yummy!!
