Fantastic service and superb food and drinks are what you can expect here. We had Spanish lattes for our coffee (sweetened with condensed milk), my husband had a breakfast biscuit sandwich and an almond croissant. I got a ham and cheese croissant. Theres plenty of seating inside and out, and its literally a block away from the Santa Monica Pier. I noticed theres nothing for breakfast or brunch at any restaurant with oceanfront, which makes no sense at all to me, but hey, who am I? Just a consumer I guess. So if youre in Santa Monica any time before noon, go grab an amazing coffee here first, then enjoy a walk down the iconic boardwalk #californiadreamin 👍😘🏝🥐☕

Place looks nice, but the croissants are just awful. Bready, doughy, flakeless. They should be crispy and flakey. I specifically asked if they were fresh and told absolutely! I got croissants and a pain at chocolat. All bad, like buns from Ralphs but expensive. They seem more like 3 day old pastries. Avoid. Next time I will take the time to go up to Milo and Olive.Can somebody pahleese get some good croissants into downtown Santa Monica?!

Service and communication was lacking. Granola served without milk even though ordered with milk. I had to ask for the milk and server wasn’t sure if she was supposed to give it to me. I would like to see more fresh vegetables included in the menu items. I had to ask for veggies to be added to a quesadilla. I had to ask for cherry tomatoes to be included with lox bagel when they were out of regular tomatoes. Felt like a lack of creativity, fresh ingredients and effort to please customers. Pastries were not impressive. Coffee was good. No organic milk or cream options, unfortunately.

Legit cafe. The food is actually very good. Try the chicken salad sandwich if they have it ;)

This is an adorable chic cafe! My husband and I tried the vegan doughnut and the artichoke pastry and both were fantastic! Our cashier was so pleasant we had a good chat with her. Will be coming back!

Definitely a 4. Strong 4. Espresso and Late coffee was great for my friends. And its lovely atmosphere inside. Also quiet. Music is playing on the background not too loud. But my freshly brewed coffee had a such a bad taste that I wold remove it from the menu in total so that people wold not get disappointed.

Coffee was very good and Soo was the breakfast. I really enjoyed the setting. For you sit down in a spacious area and get done work done. It wasnt too noisy. Their cups are super cute.

A real cup! I’ve been very annoyed by the notion that paper cups somehow prevent the spread of Covid (but create so much trash!!!) and this is one of the rare shops in LA that served espresso in a real cup. So, thank you! The flavor was very interesting- a thick dark chocolate. A cute place, not usually my style but you made my day!

If i could give them no star I would!! We arrived at the cafe at 1.55 and the staff refused to take our order as the store is closed at 2.00pm 🙄🙄🙄

Oh my god, i found this coffee shop on my way from the pier to home.. so glad i went on de tour and having to find this right under santa monica’s parking garage which looks beautiful from inside outThe barista nick was so nice to talk with also suggested what is what from their bakery menu. I chose the morning bun and can’t be anyMore happier with it.Also i got cortado and it was made to perfection.. the interiors are amazing here - so is the service! They bring coffee and community together in santa monica. I might go back again before i leave LA area. Strongly suggest to get here if you are a coffee lover - it could be any type of coffee. Looks like their brunch/breakfast menu is also quite strong. Gotta try it for sure

Great Cappuccino! Strong and delicious. This may be my next favorite spot for early mornings on the weekends. Its the perfect time to visit Santa Monica. Hardly anyone on the streets, or at the beach. If youre in the mood for a morning walk, grad a drink here and head down to the beach. You cant be wrong and its a great way to start your day.Espresso Cielo is located very close to 3rd Street Prom and it certainly beats all the coffee shops in the area. Skip the Starbucks and CBTL... come here instead. The pastries are fresh and tasty. They also have a menu that includes toast and eggs. Although I didnt order these items myself, I found myself drooling over them while the group sitting next to me ate their breakfast.This coffee shop is very spacious. With seating outside, tables inside and at the bar area...and some additional tables near the restrooms. Super chill vibe. Id totally spend time here working if I lived closer and parking were free.

I was worried that I wouldnt find a decent cup of (hipster-approved) coffee so close to the beach and would have to settle for some of the super-processed stuff from down the street, but this quaint little joint is making some surprisingly good java with all the extras you could want, from Signature Lattes to every type of espresso you could possibly want. The baristas are super-cool and really know what theyre doing. I got 3 different lattes, simple to flavored, and each one was perfect. No sweetener necessary. The pastries all look good, too, though nothing special. And their array of teas dont look half-bad, either.The spot itself can be pretty hard to get to if youre driving here. Its more conveniently-located if you already happen to be in the area, like at Santa Monica beach or 3rd Street Promenade, and already on foot/ bike. However, if you absolutely must bring your car, the parking structure its located next to is free for the first 90 minutes and very affordable for the next hour.And hey, if tea or coffee isnt on your radar today, they have premium cold-pressed juices for $10.50, if your health is worth that much to you. Theyre decent-tasting, too.

Stayed in Santa Monica for four days last week and all four days I had to get coffee here! It is sooo amazing!!! Had the artichoke danish and my husband had their breakfast sandwiches, both were delicious. Highly recommend if you have not tried it you need to!

Espresso Cielo is a nice little coffee shop in DTSM. They have a tastefully laid out indoor dining area thats unfortunately closed due to the pandemic. The baristas were nice and the coffee was good. I would definitely come back again.

The food was very good, but overpriced. As an example, a small (6oz?) glass of fresh squeezed orange juice was $5.50. They may be catering to tourists staying at nearby hotels. Again, good food and a nice atmosphere but no table service and priced like a three dollar sign restaurant.Also, read through the five star reviews if you get a chance. Most of them have a similarly strange tone, almost as if written by an algorithm. This is my coffee cup. Obviously I like coffee as per my coffee cup.Espresso Cielo is great. Tons of space, varied seating, and quick service. Some booths and nooks and crannies so you can work kinda privately, and there are tons of larger tables right where you walk in.Located in the heart of Santa Monica, youll usually find entrepreneurs and self-employed people mixed in with tech gurus and surfer bros. The only thing that unites us all is a good cup of coffee or a shot of espresso.This place is bringing us all together. Wifi was weak, but whatevs. All I need is coffee and a hotspot.

The best coffee in town! I’d lived in Italy and after moving to LA I found it quite hard to find really good balanced coffee. I tried many places and this is in my top 3 in LA and absolutely number 1 on the list. If you a coffee lover you’d love it here. Nice atmosphere and great staff is an advantage too :)

I was in town for a conference and had not been to Santa Monica for a very long time.Espresso Cielo is a cute and cozy cafe for breakfast and coffee. It is conveniently located close to the Promenade and by the hotels in the area. Seating inside is abundant, the specialty coffee drinks made well and non dairy milk choices include oat milk for those of us who are lactose intolerant.Pros: Good breakfast selection, can be a quick meal for those on the go or a relaxed sit down on the weekend.Cons: I did have trouble finding a clean table to sit at as almost 50% if the open tables had dirty dishes and cups but it was a fairly busy Friday morning.Bottom line: Quality coffee and breakfast choices.

Little coffee shop in Santa Monica next to one of the parking structures. Parking at the structures is free for the first 90 minutes, then costs $$ after that. Honestly, this place is overpriced, so I dont go often. Hours are also not great.Although pricey, the drinks that Ive gotten here are good. Ive also tried the avocado toast and it is tasty. Their menu is made up majority of various coffee drinks then pastries.Its a nice place to check out if youre in the area. Just wish theyd extend their business hours!

Saw this place at night and liked the interior quite a bit. So I decided to go next morning and get breakfast at Cielo :) Bad idea...? Yeah! After a 15min line (understaffed personnel) they had no salmon for any breakfast, the rest was unappealing to me. However ordered a breakfast burrito and a fresh squeezed OJ. The burrito did not felt freshly made, eggs felt like cooked before, the OJ was in a super small glass ($5.50). Phone reception inside, zero - if you try to work, might not be the best place either...The 3 stars are received for the decorating taste and nothing for service or quality of food.

Espresso Cielo is consistently great. The food is fresh and healthy, and all of the beverages are wonderfully prepared. If there is a negative, it would be that service can be a tad slow at times, but it isnt enough to keep me from coming back every time Im in town.

Good coffee and nice environment. However, breakfast is below average. Especially cooked breakfast (eggs) tastes as if it wasn’t cooked in a proper kitchen.

4.6 stars. My wife enjoyed the mocha latte, and her English muffin egg sandwich, and I had the breakfast burrito, but it had too much chorizo ($30 after tip). Nice clean atmosphere.

Good spot with delicious coffee and a warm staff, but the place is run so inefficiently. Be prepared to wait. Please either add a register or hire more people in the morning to help take orders while people are waiting.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Im a disabled Veteran and I have trouble walking long distances, so I stopped in to see if they had a public restroom. The female at the counter was extremely rude and when I asked to use the restroom she loudly stated customers only and turned her back to me. I explained my health challenges, but offered to buy a coffee anyway. She tossed the coffee on the counter (it was terrible btw) and turned her back to me, again, and continued chatting with her coworker. I put the cash on the counter and then asked again for the key to the restroom. She physically threw it (airborne) across the counter... a good 7 feet, until it hit a column and stopped rolling. Ive never seen anything like it. My daughter in law was SHOCKED. Worst treatment (and coffee) ever...

Great independent coffee place (they have two outlets) which offers a new twist on your coffee house look. The big table in the back is great for a group of six or so. The cold brew is super strong and they have very nice baked items.

I reliably visit this bistro as I live locally. The veggie lover sustenance is tasty. The staff are very much arranged and pleasing and there constantly gives off an impression of being a considerable measure of seats.

Ran here with my significant other. Such an entrancing spot to invest energy. We had some espresso and bites. Love their administrations, the staff is amicable and serving is extremely instant.

Cold brew was great. Wifi was not. If you are trying to get some solid work done I would not recommend this place. Their wifi is very slow Connecting to it is a different challenge and will leave you annoyed before you try doing any work. Cool environment just to hang out in though. If you want to work, go to Starbucks for their reliable wifi.
