I just had to take the time to say what an incredible experience I had at Starlet. I had been to one other bridal shop, and it was awful. I left so bummed out, and feeling really overwhelmed. I had heard great things about Starlet and reached out and the owner Allison changed everything. My experiences could not have been more different; and I was in awe of her knowledge, expertise and kindness. I felt really supported, beautiful and any type of alteration seemed so manageable with her talented crew. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, they really were amazing. Starlet is hands down the best bridal store I have ever been to. The staff are courteous and highly knowledgeable. They were able to quickly adapt to what I was looking for, pulling out beautiful dresses (at very good prices!) and suggesting ways in which the dress could easily be altered (e.g. changing lace on the straps) to perfectly fit my preferences. The ambience of the store is also lovely. Highly recommend!

The young ladies who helped me here were sweet, enthusiastic, and very helpful. The shop was also beautiful. They seem to care a great deal about their customers. Importantly, no one here was even remotely pushy, which I find to be an immediate turn off.

What a wonderful shop! I needed a dress and fast! After coming back from a bridal shop in Petaluma where they totally ignored me, coming to Starlet Bridal was an unexpected delight. The ladies from Starlet Bridal welcomed me with arms wide open! They were absolutely wonderful, and even though they were busy, they made sure I was taken care of. They absolutely went above and beyond! They also have a seamstress that works for them and that is about 15 minutes away and she will come meet you in the shop. I cannot be more pleased by this shop and the service. The shop is so elegant, spacious and well organized. If you are looking to finally say Yes to the dress this is definitely a place to be!

My daughter bought her prom dress here. The lady helping has been very helpful and making sure my Bellas dress is perfect for her and happy. Wow! you should see all the style dresses, colors and fabrics. Ask to go upstairs.

We were immediately greeted and treated like family by the staff of Starlet Bridal & Prom, which was very nice to experience after trying some of the other bridal places in Santa Rosa. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn how incredibly affordable their dresses are. Our daughter didnt take long to choose the perfect wedding gown. Went with my daughter for her dress. After hours in a different shop we were feeling pretty down. Walked into Starlet and was addressed immediately. Told the gals what we were looking for and in less than an hour had a beautiful dress ordered. Beautiful place and great customer service. Great experience! Thank you.

They had lots of options and suggestions and were the opposite of pushy. They let me take my time, they had snacks and champagne out, and they were really genuine. When I really liked 2 dresses they suggested I try them both on outside and take pictures to see how they look in natural light. They could tell I was still indecisive so they told me to sleep on and not make a decision right away. I really appreciated that they were honest and not just trying to make a sale.

Pleasant experience. I needed a dress six weeks before my wedding. Starlet bridal was very helpful and understanding. I would definitely recommend starlet. The owner was super nice and went above and beyond.

We had already purchased my daughter’s wedding gown in Oregon but we needed a seamstress. I called Starlet Bridal because i saw they carried the same dress, and I hoped to get a referral. Not only did they refer us to Lena (who did an amazing job!!!) but they steamed her dress and veil for no charge. They went above and beyond to help us. They were all so sweet and kind. I will be shopping there again if I ever need formal attire. And I highly recommend Lena as a seamstress!!

I could not recommend more! We made a same day appointment and they were so accommodating. My daughter tried on a LOT of dresses which they encouraged. Regina was fabulous, very knowledgeable and really helped us narrow down what she was looking for. We didnt feel rushed or pressured. 5 Stars!

I got my bridal gown here and my prom dress way back in 2007! Alison is so kind and accommodating! The shop is absolutely gorgeous and makes you feel like a princess! I couldn’t have ask for a better experience!

My daughter and I had a great time shopping for prom today. The girls really helped my daughter pick out styles and narrow down choices to help her find a perfect dress. They had a lot of choices and many different styles. I also felt good about supporting a local business.

They convinced me to order my dress a size larger, despite the fact that the size I tried on fit perfectly. They said it’s better to get it large and then have it altered. When I took the dress to get altered, the seamstress said there was some fancy paneling on the front which meant she wouldn’t be able to take it in a whole lot, but she tried her best. So, on my wedding day I ended up wearing a dress that was way too loose on top and sagged in odd places. If I had just gone with my gut and bought the dress that fit (instead of listening to the sales staff at Starlet), that wouldn’t have been the case.UPDATE AFTER RESPONSE: While I realize that in most cases it is advisable to buy a size larger and take the dress in, that wasnt a possibility for the dress I bought. It would have been helpful for the sales associate to recognize that the bodice on the dress couldnt be altered in that way, or to consult the seamstress if she wasnt sure. Incidentally, I dont think it was very nice of Starlet Bridal to post my dress size in a public review response!

We purchased my daughters prom dress here. It was very busy on Saturday but the girls upstairs were very helpful. They pulled so many dresses for my daughter and let her try on all these different styles till she found the perfect one. We were there for a few hours but my daughter left with a wonderful dress!

Very rude. I over heard them talking about whether they should come help me or not when I walked in. Then when I told them when my wedding was they told me I should have been looking for a dress yesterday and that there wasn’t much they could do for me. I understand last minute shopping but there’s other ways you can communicate and speak to the customer.

I brought my daughter here based upon friends telling me to go in. We needed a wedding dress in a month. I thought they were too expensive for our budget. I was wrong!!!!! The ladies were very kind and patient with our budget. We needed the dress to be under $1000.00. We found that they had many dresses that my daughter loved that were available and under budget. The other place in town only offered bridesmaids dresses or discontinued dresses that were way too big. They made us feel very special and my daughter looked amazing in her dress!!!!!!!

Went shopping with my sister for her wedding gown. She was stressed because she had gone other places and was getting frustrated because the dresses were too traditional. She found a great casual boho dress that was within her budget. We almost walked out because they have a lot of dresses and some were very beaded and fancy and that was not what she wanted. But the salesperson I think her name was Helen helped her find a nice simple dress that was just perfect. She finally said Yes to the Dress. Then we had cocktails next door, by that we needed them!

My sister made an appointment for my first experience looking for a wedding gown. I was terrified of trying on gowns (not finding the perfect one) and was hopeful to make the experience great while visiting from Iowa. I did not expect to leave the store with a dress that day... BUT the bridal consultant was an absolute doll and took a look at my list of possible dresses into consideration as we started the process. With my two nieces (3 and 4) and my sister, I am thrilled that I said #YesToTheDress and had such a memorable experience!

My initial wedding dress was a complete disaster. I contacted Starlet bridal 4 months before my wedding looking for a specific dress that I found about six months prior. All of the bridal salons in my area were either unavailable, didnt have the gown, or were charging outrageous prices. Fortunately, I came across Starlet Bridal and they were so helpful! I live in MD and they are in Cali, but they still provided exceptional service. They went the extra mile to make sure my dress was timely delivered with enough time to complete alterations. They were very patient with me even after I made several changes regarding color and size. I highly recommend this bridal salon!

This place is truly amazing. Everything from the costumer service to the quality of the dresses is on point. I highly recommend anyone looking for beautiful prom dresses or wedding dresses go here. My friend an I went in and bought prom dresses and it was a wonderful experience thanks to the lovely ladies working!

Terrible lack of communication, sub-par customer service and willingness to share information. Just another customer. The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is because my dress was beautiful.Edit: In response to Alison.I do appreciate your response.Just to clear a couple of things up, when I purchased my dress I had the understanding that it would be in in June. When I made my final payment in May and I inquired I was told “No it’s still August”. Leaving a bit confused, I waited until the end of July and when I had yet to hear anything I reached out. My voicemail box is never and was never full, I received all of the messages that were intended to be left to me. I am also old fashioned and don’t mind phone calls, I had been working. After being told that there wasn’t a ETA on the dress yet at the end of July I became a little concerned, especially having no knowledge of alteration times or who to even go to at that point. It was in to August that my Matron of Honor reached out herself because she was concerned about the timing of all of this. After a few back and forth calls I was told that I “Should schedule and appointment now for alterations for the first week of September” but that a date was still unknown. I was given one name and scheduled the appointment immediately. My dress arrived and I did receive an email that only said “Tifanee, your dress has arrived. Take care, Starlet”... Irene was very sweet and very kind to me and I appreciate that. My experience overall was simply laced with miscommunication and misunderstanding. This is the only time I will ever need to buy a wedding dress and I vocalized that my experience and knowledge of the process was very green. Therefore, what may have been common knowledge for a business who deals with this process daily, was quite stressful for me when details weren’t shared.

What an amazing people, Allison is a saint. We bought a dress on Amazon for our granddaughters prom what a mistake the day before prom the package was lost.....We put it out on face book and Allison called us and set up an appointment for the very next day she open an hour early and turned a Tragedy in to a miracle. Each dress my granddaughter tried on was more beautiful the the last. She finally choose a gorgeous Red dress and looked like a million stars glimmering in the night. This is why we should all buy local. Her mom lives out of the area and wanted to be part of the experience but seriously when something goes wrong you need a local to fix it for you.

Bad service. This happened last year, but I had gone in to look for a prom dress. When I went in with my mom we were completely ignored by the two ladies working. There was no other customer in the store and they had completely ignored us. I had to go up to them and ask them where the prom dresses were, they sent me up stairs saying they would be with us in a moment. I waited 20 minutes and still no one came. My mom and I left, and Im pretty sure they didnt even notice even though they were still at the cash register looking at cloth samples.

My wedding dress was not purchased from Starlet bridal, however it went through the Sonoma County Wildfires and came back from the insurance cleaning company a wrinkled mess. I called Starlet bridal asking for recommendations on a company that would be able to steam my dress for my upcoming wedding and photos. I was told that I could bring it in to them and they would steam my dress for me. I went in on a weekday- as the person on the phone advised- and was turned away by an incredibly rude woman who would not allow me to explain what happened on the phone, refused to allow the other employees to speak or give any recommendations, and just kept repeating “We don’t do that here”. I can’t recommend that anyone use Starlet bridal after the way I was treated when just asking for recommendations.

I wanted to give them zero stars. My sister decided to go shopping to this place and the staff was just plain rude. My sister is size four and without trying to help her they suggested her to look for size 6-7!! Ok well thanks for your attitude towards a high school students trying to get her promo dress. Dont make comment of how mature someone look or stereotype people from the way they look. Just stop ok, whoever this sales person was should get fired.

There are some beautiful dresses here but the lady who helped me had an attitude. She did not listen to my one request, which ultimately led me to leave empty-handed.

I am very sad to have to leave this review. My dress was gorgeous (thank God) but the process of ordering, receiving, altering, my dress was excruciating. The last thing you want to have to worry about when you are getting married is your dress. I went into Starlet Bridal in January to find a dress for my July wedding (7 months) I was extremely rushed during the process of trying on dresses. They are a very busy shop as there are about 6 dress shops in the entire Napa and surrounding area so I get it but if you make an appointment you shouldnt have to feel like trying on every dress is a race. I felt like I did a pretty good job but I found a dress in less than two hours (maybe due to peer pressure!) I was told that if I needed to think about the dress or which one I wanted that I wouldnt get it by my wedding date, so pretty much I needed to make the decision immediately, so I did. Dont get me wrong, I get it. Making a dress takes a lot of work and time and I appreciate that. The lady helping me, along with 3 other clients at that time, took my measurements as the sample dress was extremely large. I trusted that she knew what she was doing and that the numbers she was writing down were correct as I knew no difference. Anyway, long story short, I was told my dress would be in by by June (Wedding date was July) and was reassured that there would be enough time to get it shortened as that was all it would need. By the end of June I never heard from Starlet Bridal about my dress so I called the shop and was told that they would call as soon as it came in but that they could see the designer was almost finished and would be mailing it the next week. By the next week (plus about 3 days) I never got the return call that I was told I would when my dress would be shipped so I was worried and I called back and left a message. I waited another week and called back (the shop is about 2 hours from home so a long drive and by now we were about 2 weeks out from my wedding date) I was then told by a sales associate that they had had my dress in the shop for almost a MONTH! So why I was told it wasnt even done yet when apparently it was sitting in the shop is beyond me. Anyway, I didnt make a big deal about it and asked why I wasnt called and the associate stated that they called me (on my business cell that I get multiple calls and VM on a day) many, many times but never got an answer. This completely stunned me as this is my main work phone and I never had a single missed call; lets not forget that I was told about two weeks ago that my dress hadnt even been mailed... I asked why I had no voicemails and she said that my voicemail wasnt set up; again, not true as this is my main line and I get many voicemails a day. So then I asked why they didnt email and she said they did! So somehow, two weeks before my wedding I missed multiple calls, voicemails and emails - the Gods must have been against me! Needless to say I was extremely stressed out as my wedding was two weeks away and I hadnt even tried on my dress! I quickly jumped in my car, took the day off work and drove to pick up my dress. When I got there no one had any idea who I was (not even the lady who helped me find my dress!) that actually didnt bother me since I was so worried about the dress fitting. They handed it over to me and wished me the best. No one asked if I wanted to try it on in the shop or anything along those lines. I took it straight to my alteration lady and tried it on for the first time in her office. We were both speechless; she measured everything and the dress was 3 sizes too big! The Russian seamstress asked me why I ordered my dress so big and that in order for her to fix it it would be a very large project and would entail her remaking the dress. All I can say is thank God for Lina (alterations) and her talent as she did in fact completely have to remake the dress in order to make it fit. So, long story short, I paid over $2k for a dress that was in fact ordered and made in the incorrect size and also had to pay $500+ in alterations!

This place way over charges but was extremely attentive while we were there. The bride found a dress over budget but she loved it and didnt care, we asked several times if alterations were included and the owner yes the owner said yes everytime. We asked again right before purchasing and going over payments and again she said yes its included. Guess what wasnt included once the dress was paid off yes the alternations they refused to honor their word. All her bridesmaids came together and worked it out but it is not ok to lie to get a sale. I do not do not recommend this place at all. THEY ARE LIARS
