Fun store for the comic book, role playing game, or magic card enthusiast!I got all my off numbered dice from Outer Plains, great prices and cool colored options for D8, D10, D12, and D20. They have nice collection of fairly priced magic card singles!My brother and I have gotten many cool comic, card, or movie based board games from Outer Plains. Nice people work there.

Been going to this shop for over 10 years now and man has it come a long way. The combined effort of Dan and now Sean and Palmer is clear to see. Im amazed by how much it improves every year. Their selection of cards, comics and board games is huge and theres something for everybody.

Dan the owner and his entire staff are absolutely some of the most wonderful people in the world. Definitely worth the hour and a half drive. One of those beautiful comic book stores in gaming stores you will ever go to

A great shop! I came in from out of town on a Saturday to pick up some floppies. Seemed like they had a thriving MtG tournament set up around that time. Next time I’m in town, this place will be my go-to.

Ridiculously overpriced Magic the Gathering singles. I am not sure why someone would pay these prices as they seemed about double online prices.

Awesome space for comics with a good selection of graphic novels. I ordered a game of tichu from them and they held it for me til I was able to pick it up.

Stopped here after a disappointing trip to a different shop down the street. Other shop was closed at 3:45pm on a Saturday due to COVID even after the world has started to move on. This place was open and is a great shop! I could have stayed here for hours. The owner was very nice and showed us around. Great selection atmosphere and design! Everything you want from a comic book store. Awesome games too! This is the #1 comic book and game shop in the area, for new AND vintage stuff. No reason to go anywhere else.

So I guess theres two separate stores at this location, both were great, outer planes side was friendly and the magic side guy took the time to explain some things about the game and make recommendations to a relatively new player, definitely coming back the next time Im passing through Santa Rosa.

Friendly staff really make this place for me. There is a good selection of comics, a decent variety of boardgames and some wargaming / painting stuff however its clear that RPGs and CCGs are the staples for this store. A huge selection of card sleeves and they also sell MtG and Pokemon singles.

Full Service Comic book store. Has it all and then some. Also has a huge room used for magic games I believe. All your comic needs at fair prices. Definitely recommend!

There was a guy there named Albert who helped me a lot knowing what cards to get for magic the gathering and I was even a Mormon missionary then best place!

Very friendly and knowledgeable people work there. One guy in particular is excited to talk about all their products in a genuine and honest way while dazzling in a spritz of humor. Worth going just to meet the people for sure! They have a great selection of comic books, board games, and figures. They also have a separated area to the side (under different ownership) with a Magic The Gathering setup that hosts tournaments and various events. A must go to for all things fun!

Combination comic, rpg, ccg store with a bit of boardgaming. If you are looking for comics or cctg cards this is your kinda shop. With the role playing they have a little of everything current. The boardgame selection was decent for a small combo store.

Outer Planes Comics and Cards is a nice specialty store with a large gaming space for tournaments and open play. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.The store selection is limited, but well stocked for all the major games, like Magic, Dungeons & Dragons, and Pathfinder, as well as current and classic comics from Marvel and DC.

For a gamer this place is wonderful! We were able to buy the newest gamer a starter set, bring it back (mom bought it for him!) then replace it with a homemade bag (reversible) and dice (one can never have too many!) the sales person was very helpful, knowledgeable and nice. Great place!

Always enjoyed myself here and have never felt rushed by the staff. Good enough comic selection and except for one time have never felt judged or belittled by the staff. In his defense maybe he was having a bad day or maybe hes just that way all the time... Regardles, one below average experience here has done nothing to soil the overall nerd friendly and positive vibes this place puts off. Plus always good to support your local comic and game shop.

This is a really cool little place located downtown Santa Rosa. They carry a ton of comic books and Specialty games. They have a room were people hang out and play games. If they dont have what youre looking for they will order it for you. The staff is well trained and knowledgeable. My boys love to go in there and look around and talk to the people who are into the same kind of things they are into. I totally recommend supporting this cool comic book shop.

I adore this place. I often find myself heading here simply to browse and always end up getting something anyway.As a rookie dungeon master for both dnd and Pathfinder, I usually come here any time I have questions or need supplies and the staff is always super helpful.

Id say this place is your go to in Santa rosa for anything from comics to Dungeons and Dragons to Magic the Gathering. This place has so much charm and. Community to offer but the employees really seal the deal for me. This place has become a staple of my week to week life.

Its always a pleasure going here. Whether youre setting up for a D&D campaign or just browsing for something to read, these guys are always willing to help answer any questions. Its my go-to stop in the county when Im looking for something to build my collection. They also host Magic tournaments on the regular.

Love hate relationship with this place. One one hand i love it because i can always drop in with some magic cards and find someone to play with. On the other hand they have so many cool cards i spend all my money haha.

Always has a great selection of D&D paraphernalia, also a lot of comics (Im not super into comics, but the amount they have there is impressive) and card games. They also stock some more conventional board games, which I pick up from time to time if its interesting.

Great selection and really nice knowledgeable staff. The owner is an oracle of all things comics and is a published creator himself. If hes around and not helping someone find a new book hes usually happy to sign copies of the Black Panther issues he worked on recently!

Amazing selection of miniatures, comics and magic singles. Great Santa Rosa location..... Sonoma County has two more great stores as well. Check out Ligottis on the east side hwy12 and Baseball Cards & Memorabilia in Rohnert Park on Redwood Dr when you have a chance.

Come in here all the time for dinner on my own. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, and satisfying sushi. Not exactly fine dining, but its a good palace to hang out with friends or go on casual dates.

Went in only slightly knowing what I would want and the staff was very helpful and directed me to where I found my new game. Store is very neat and organized, very clean and staff is patient and friendly.

Outer Planes? More like Over Priced. Staff is like Comic Book Guy from that TV show: absurdly pretentious to the point of being super rude. Nice, large playroom with lots of tables. Terrible MTG singles selection. The boardgames selection is lacking as well. There are better comic book stores in Santa Rosa and better card shops in the area. Best to avoid this one.

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I was actually there for comic books that my daughter wanted but saw a few I liked as well. If you play Magic its the place to be on Friday night.

This place is wonderful. Theyve recently gone through a renovation, and man did they clean up shop! They have a vast selection of RPG minis, and a whole section devoted to the genre that you wont find anywhere else in the county.

Nobody can deny, Outer Planes has the most consistent MTG drafts & MTG events in Santa Rosa. The weekly crowd is great & are friendly Commander players, who luckily are patient & welcoming!

Someone stole the cards I had drafted there friday night (totally not the stores fault) and as soon as an employee overheard I was handed new packs. Ive always enjoyed this shop and I will be going back, at least to say thank you again.

- First time in the store-Definitely going to return.- The man (who I assume is the owner) was very welcoming and put customers first over his friends/regulars that were in the store during the Draft on Friday.- The woman who was also behind the counter working was very friendly, and had no problem chatting it up with my friend and I.- My friend and I came for the Draft on Friday, but it ended up not working out because we didnt have 8 people for the draft. For the inconvenience, the man gave each person who came who didnt get to draft a refund (of course) and a mtg card :).- 4.5 of 5 in my book, the only thing that bothered me was that the store smelled a little, but after a few minutes, you hardly/dont notice it anymore.

Comic books, board games, action figures, toys and card games galore. Wednesday night is board game night and a fun reason to stop by and socialize, plus they offer discounts on tabletop games on Wednesdays. If they dont have what youre looking for in stock theyre usually happy to order it (and offer a discount), though it can take a while for the games to arrive and it pays to call and check regularly.

I mostly visit Outer Planes when I need a new game, and they never disappoint. Great selection of interesting board games. Many a visit for Pokemon cards as well.

Despite that, I still walked out with some back issue comics I had been looking for.Staff were a little withdrawn, and not super engaged with the majority of casual customers, though they seemed pretty friendly.

I think I may have reached the age that a comic book store no longer holds any charm for me. I go in hoping for the excitement and joy they held for me in my younger days and am always disappointed.

I love this place.. Better than the comic book stores in Vegas.. Have thick skin though, some of the workers have elitist attitudes that you may misinterpret as being rude, but if you show your face there more than once and dont sound like a complete idiot they are pretty rad..if you have no idea what you are talking about in here target the female employee, shes very nice..

When trading in cards for store credit and other items to purchase cards and packs for my magic the gathering deck, the workers were very hasteful and demanding. They were very greedy and rude. They had 2 of the 20 cards I was looking for. Therefore, I will not be returning to this store or Baseball Memoriabilia in rohnert park due to the awful staff at both places. Buy magic products online like amazon where you get 15$ off and let these ripoff card/comic book stores rot in hell.

They sell comics so I like that, a lot. They sell gaming things, which is also good. They are a bit disorganized and all too often rude and inattentive to the customers. Few know anything about comics, go when Jon is there and he will get you fixed up. They also have lovely women who is now in charge of their on-line department and can help you with pretty much anything.If you want to go to a none gamer space where the conversation is great and the comics selection is great go down the road to FTW [especially if you are female] ;-)

A pretty nice game and comic store. This place specializes in magic the gathering, board games, table top games and comics. They do have the latest Pokemon and yugioh boosters, decks, and tins, but their single card selection for yugioh isnt that great and even worse for pokemon. Tons of dice, table top figures and books are there to browse and buy. Definitely worth a stop.
