The folks at our local Blue Star gas have always been very helpful and courteous with my elderly mom. They are patient and kind, and go out of the way to help and answer our questions. I feel they really care about their customers. Thank you!

I have to say this company has superb customer service! I was in desperate need of propane as my last company left me empty for 7 days. Blue Star quickly made arrangements to get me set up with a new tank and start my service right away. I would highly recommend them!
Victoria and Tadd were awesome to work with! Both very nice and very professional.We ran out of propane AGAIN from Amerigas, rendering us without heat, hot water and a stove for cooking. Our friend recommended we call Victoria at Blue Star Gas. We called on Wednesday and spoke with Victoria regarding our situation. Thursday morning Tadd came out and installed a Blue Star tank, checked all the hookups and pilot lights and had us up a running before 24 hours had passed. We can not thank them enough.
On Thursday, 12-10-2020, we called for a delivery to be placed the lady who answered replied that the delivery would be Monday, and would be in the $400 range.On Monday 12-14-2020 by 3:30 p.m. the delivery truck had not arrived we called again the Lady who answered replied after a few minutes that we had already received our delivery. Since I was on my cell phone we went out and checked the gauge on the propane take, when looking at it it read 35% which means that the truck never showed, she then replied that the truck was broke down and they would not make a special delivery to our area to fill the tank. Her next statement is that it would be tomorrow, in two days or the following Monday before we get a delivery and also that this delivery will be over $500.We have to take days off to bring the dogs in because the delivery driver will not deal with the dogs. This means we have to take more days off and wait for your delivery to come. This is now the third time in two years, that we have to drop everything for multiple days to receive propane.Also we have had a delivery where the driver filled the tank we paid the driver in a check since he gave us the bill. When receiving an envelope a week later from your company we receive another bill, which we ended up having to get our bank statements to refute because we paid it already.
You came to our rescue and we are so grateful. We were struggling with an empty tank and no response from Amerigas. After talking with Victoria in the Santa Rosa office Tadd came out the next day, replaced the tank with one of yours and literally saved our freezing butts. We love you!

Truly exceeded expectations. Our gas was running out and Amerigas was impossible to contact. When I called Blue Star a real person answered the phone immediately. In 24 hours Blue Star replaced the Amerigas tank and filled it. The Amerigas nightmare is over! Amerigas delivery and service folk are all very good, but the rest of the company stinks, and has for years. Very poor management is the most likely cause.
We have never had a company respond so quickly to our problems. Our previous company had left us without propane for 10 days. Blue Star jumped right in and helped us immediately! So professional! We recommend them highly!!!

Particularly pleased with prompt response to my needs. Nobody else came close to proposing such a timely quote and installation. All of their people were very helpful in my furnace problem. Because of my age, winter cold is a serious problem. Blue Star greatly reduced my problem, and I will praise them forever, especially Caed.
If I could give zero stars, I would. We had a horrible experience with them this winter while on a trip abroad our house sitter called, frantic, that there is no hot water and the house is freezing (we have radiant heat) which was particularly troubling given that she was also taking care of our two old dogs, one of them after two bouts of severe pneumonia and very fragile. I turned out we ran out of gas because somehow the company did not monitor it and did not schedule the delivery when it fell low (we cant see on our end how much is left in the tank.) It all happened on New Years Eve, perhaps they were short staffed but - not a word of apology, no effort to make it up to us. Yes, they sent somebody to check for leaks (none) and to relight it, and sent somebody to deliver propane outside of our regular schedule - and then charged us for all these extras!!!! They are fleecing us for the cost of their own negligence!!! I submitted the complaint to the company but havent heard from anybody yet and it is three months later. We are looking to switch companies, we are so dismayed and disappointed. Stay away from this racket!
I used Blue star as they came recommended for repairs. I own my own tank but they came out and for a very reasonable rate did a fantastic job installing some replacement lines and a regulator. If you need work done theyre the ones to call. note..This only applies if you own your own equipment. If you are thinking of a new company and need some work done I would check them out.

Blue Star Gas sent out Daniel and Ray to relight my propane wall heater in my art studio.Not only did they relight a very difficult heater problem by perseverance., they were courteous and completely professional.
We were more or less abandoned by our previous gas supplier. Blue Star brought us a tank and filled it within two days. And their gas price is significantly less than our previous supplier.
After speaking with 4 different people, all of whom could not answer basic questions about delivery, minimum orders, setting the tank, etc.. and waiting on hold for long periods while being transferred around, they told me I did not use enough gas for them to put their assets to proper use. They want 4 fill ups per year.I have no idea if they can deliver gas in a timely manner at a decent price, but from my two phone calls they dont seem to know what they are doing, while refusing to service customers who arent profitable enough for them.
We are from the Central Valley but were traveling in the North Coast in early December in our RV. We had a tire blow out on the RV that broke off the connecting end from the main propane line, rendering our entire propane system useless (no heat, no cooking, etc.). After dealing with the tire issue, I tried an RV dealership and even Suburban Propane to get the part I thought I needed to repair the propane issue. They were of absolutely no help. I eventually landed at Blue Star and discovered there that the part I needed was something that had to be pressed onto the end of the broken line and couldnt simply be screwed on. It required a special tool to install or I could buy a pre-fabbed line to replace it. So at that point my choices were to tear into my RV to try to replace the whole line with a replacement line or call an on-site RV repair man to come out and fix it at some exorbitant rate. Knowing that we were in a campground 20 miles away, the gentleman at Blue Star said, Why dont I lend you the tool you need to press it on yourself and show you how to do it? I was thinking, Really, did he just offer to give me the needed tool and show me how to do it for free? Nobody does anything for free these days. So he gave me a handful of parts to make sure I had the right size and showed me how to properly use the crimping tool and said, Thatll be $5. I was so shocked that I gave him $10 for his trouble. The repair went flawlessly and the next day I returned the unused parts and borrowed tool, as promised. This place did business with me how business was done decades ago - with integrity and trust. They saved me a ton of time and money through simple caring and generosity for a customer that they knew wasnt even in their home town and would likely receive no additional business from. 5 Stars for Blue Star!
