Bryan S. from Valley Comfort Heating and Air installed my HVAC when I built my house 10 years ago. I recently scheduled a service call with them when a furnace was short cycling - constantly turning on and off without emitting hot air. The motor was also making loud noises. A service technician came out and told me that he didnt see anything wrong with the furnace. He told me it was working fine and there were no error codes. The furnace continued to run so poorly that I stopped running it after a few days out of fear that doing so would cause permanent damage. I crawled under the house to check it myself and immediately saw the error code that pointed to the problem. Two hours of watching youtube videos and another two hours following the steps to remove and clean out the condensation box and the short cycling issue was fixed. Valley Comfort did absolutely nothing and I had to waste half of my day fixing something that real professionals would be able to fix in less than an hour. Even though they failed to diagnose the problem, I am still being charged a $89 diagnostic fee. Very disappointed with the unprofessional service from Valley Comfort Heating and Air.**UPDATE**Not even 24 hours after my review and Valley Comfort and Heating has made it right!Im happy to say that Bryan and Craig reached out immediately, took responsibility for the oversight and cleared things up. Their responsiveness has restored my confidence in Valley Comfort Heating and Air and I look forward to doing more business with them in the future.

We had smoke damage to our home from the Glass fire in September. Valley Comfort Heating and Air did a great job helping us rid the smell of smoke from our house. They cleaned our heating and air-conditioning units along with the upstairs ductwork. I chose them because they are a Diamond Certified company and they care about their reputation.

Workers seemed confused and went to numerous houses wondering around the streets. Very odd and suspicious.

Valley Comfort came to repair my heater which was creating a bad odor. Did minor maintenance and said it was fine. I turned it back on and the smell was as bad or worse. Called and they told me their technician knew what he was doing and I was hot to worry. But the smell was so bad I called another company to find out I and my family could have died from the noxious fumes, including carbon monoxide, the heater was emitting. Since then I have called and emailed but they refuse to reply.

We had our entire AC / heat system replaced in Yountville back in March and I wanted to wait until the first big heat wave to write my review. I wanted to see how the unit performed in my house with no insulation and single paned windows. Its 99 outside right now and 72 inside, and the unit is able to even shut off so its not running constantly. Success! Its a very quiet unit and the air flow is good. The heat also works great and its multi-stage so I dont have that hot cold thing that the old furnace did with its blowing on high all the time.Ask for Dustin - hes amazing... available virtually 24-7 and knows his stuff. During the estimate he saw someone had dropped a tool down our floor vent years ago before we bought the house and he spent 5 minutes retrieving it and then handed it to me. It demonstrated that he had attention to detail and was persistent when faced with a challenge.They also didnt try the cheesy Did you get our coupon in the mail?? sales tactics that Moore tried with me.... then pulling the secret coupon out of their briefcase... Valley Comfort gave one fair price and that was it, unlike Moore which had all these bizarre discounts and add-ons making it feel like buying a car. Moore has been purchased by a bigger company rumor has it and their price was by far the highest. Valley Comfort wasnt the cheapest -- they were right in the middle -- but the crew seemed to really know their stuff. They even have a cranky old guy that comes out at the end to put the techs through their paces as he inspects the install.Overall, I was very pleased with Valley Comfort, and I referred them to a friend in San Rafael who is also very happy. They also did work for Handwritten Wines up here and they gave them a glowing recommendation.Highly recommended! Call Dustin!

Bryan and his crew are amazing! We have a tri-level home and its a challenge getting parts of the home cool, without freezing our other parts. I called to get a quote on a new AC, as well as possibly a new heater, as ours was getting old. Bryan came out and talked to us about our options, and introduced us to a Bryant Ductless Heater/AC option. Id never heard of these before, and after doing some research, we decided on the Ductless option. I absolutely LOVE the fact I can get one room extremely cold, while leaving the other rooms warm. Or get one room warm and toasty, while leaving the other rooms cool. Thank you for taking the time to explain this option to us. We couldnt be happier with our decision. We will always use Valley Comfort and highly recommend them.

Jose did an awesome job taking care of my mom! He explained the work and did a thorough job. I’m a tech in boise Idaho so was a little leery of someone else taking care of my mom but after finding these guys, I won’t call anyone else. We are very new to Sonoma County; our Heater went on Vacation and I am Disabled. Valley Comfort Heating and Air made A Service Call to Our Home. After an hour, the Heater was again working! Jerad gave my Husband the results; this good Service Man then explained everything to The Missus again in plain, understandable English words.Competent, Helpful, Friendly Service. I recently had Valley Comfort Heating and Air come out to my house to inspect and clean my heater and air conditioner. Byran sent out Mike, who did a very thorough job. He was prompt, polite and extremely knowledgeable. While I didnt need anything more than regular servicing this time, I will definitely call Valley Comfort if I have problems in the future.

I highly recommend Valley Comfort Heating and Air. We had one of the team out for a repair recently. The problem was bit of a mystery but they figured it out and repaired it quickly and efficiently. Ive known the owner, Bryan Simning, for a number of years. He takes his business seriously and is an expert in the heating & cooling industry.

We had AC installed upstairs in our 2 story home last year and we were complaining that it wasn’t cooling the upstairs and was running all the time. Valley then told us we needed to spend additional money enlarging our vents. So not happy with their service. AC that doesn’t work isn’t a good value.

He did a great job. Repairing the Heating problem which was littleunusual He came three times because he had order a new part.Installing the new part did not fixed the problem,so came back, removed the new partinstalled my original part and trouble shooting in 15 minutes the troublewas found and now runs like clock. These people are Honest, and you can trust them 100%. My original estimate with the new part was $510.00 which I paid. The check was not cashed yet because I notified themthat system is not fixed. They tore the first check.The new repair without the expensive part now is $200.89. Believe me these days is very hard to find business people like that. God bless you !!!

We wont ever call anyone else when we have HVAC issues!These guys could make a killing if they were unethical like some other experiences with home repair weve had, but its clear from this experience that they are only interested in doing a solid job and getting things done right.They rescued us over NYE ten years ago for a few hundred bucks, and last year they fixed our AC for under $300. This Xmas we thought the furnace was a goner, but it was only $400 to fix. Hopefully we wont ever have a huge repair bill, but if we do, I know I can trust the estimate and their recommendations!This time around, our furnace went out the week before Xmas but the parts needed to be special ordered and were about a week out, so we survived on space heaters. Wrong part arrived, so Greg cleaned our motor out and did a BandAid to try and get us through a few days. It worked for a day but then died as he suspected since the motor was so compromised. Greg poached parts from an old unit they had on hand and came on Xmas eve to try and make a Frankenmotor to get us through the holidays but no luck. Craig at the office then sleuthed for parts and it finally paid off as he managed to get a new motor that worked with our model within a few days. Greg returned to install it and 10 minutes later we now have heat again! All that time and energy and our entire fee for the service call, parts, and labor was under $400.
