We have been made to feel like a member of the MarineMax family from the instant we met Josh, Heather, Bob, Bryan and the staff on the docks. Everyone mentioned takes time from their busy day to answer our MANY questions and give us sound boating advise from years of experience. This is the type of relationship one can only hope for, well, we found it!Our boat is brand new and the staff cares for it just like we do which is reassuring...and, its always ready when we are. Highly recommend MarineMax for storage, professionalism and kindness.

First the good.The staff is first class and hard working.The place is very clean.Location is perfect except during season when getting there can be a pain.The not so good.In one word service or the lack of.We bought and stored our boat there and although it was on the rack it’s a salt water environment things happen. Usually minor corrosion but it can ruin your day. So the running lights don’t work-8 weeks for repair-6 weeks to just look at it. The generator won’t start-6 weeks to clean out contact. Galley stove on the blink, on and on. And my advice about extended warranties, forget it because they don’t cover the most common problem-corrosion.The place is pretty expensive, I’m fine with that if the service is commensurate with the cost and on that point it fails.

I was a guest with a member, and thought how nice it is to belong to a marina. The lounge was pleasant, but it surprised me that the restrooms have not been freshened up from the time we went out on the water and the time we came back.

Excellent crew at the marina! Staff at the marina like Heather and Tim and the rest of the crew make you feel like friends and family are there!

My wife and I have been to a lot of Marinas on the west coast of Florida and this is by far one of the best! Heather and Josh are two of the best at what they do and have a great staff. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for a high and dry!

The best you can find for a boat community in SRQ

Just purchased a new SPX. Mark Terres was my sales rep. He was personable, professional, and made the whole process easy. No pressure at all. Once the boat arrived I wanted to get the boat prepped quickly to surprise my wife by the weekend. Mark and the MarineMax team made that happen! Estephanie made the paperwork a breeze. Heather set up the storage and emailed me the paperwork even though she was out of the office that day. Lastly Tim, who works the boat forklift seems as excited as I was to get me out in my maiden voyage. Mark even followed up with me that evening to make sure everything went smoothly and that I enjoyed my first day on the water in 9 years. All around a great experience ! Thank you MarineMax Team!

Ok, so I paid a lot for my boat at marine max, could have gotten it cheaper elsewhere come to find out. The facility is top notch and the service department has always been there for me, getting it done and following up letting me know the status of repairs. The canvas shop on site is great.

I shopped and shopped and shopped for the right dealer to buy a Carolina skiff. Matt the owner of Marine Max In Sarasota is nice guy and a real person. No BS like most of the other dealers will hand you in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. He answers the phone every time I call regardless what it’s for. He always goes in extra mile to please his customers.Where can you find that today anywhere else?!!!

They do great work and are very helpful. But the parts staff our unfriendly and rude. If it wasnt for that I would be giving them 5 stars but, i believe customer service should be the number one agenda on all businesses.

I have attached a copy of my email to MarineMax about the terrible service that I received from them and the fact that after 8 months still could not get the repairs they committed to doing to the boat completed. I have been boating for over 25 years in fresh and salt water and owned my different brands of boats and this is by far the worst service I have ever had.I sent this email and did not get a single reply from them about being sorry for the service or trying to fix the items that were agreed to at purchase. Stay away.Gentlemen,This email serves as notice that I am canceling all contracts without any additional cost with MarineMax for sales and service due to your inability to fulfill your end of the contracts with your company. Below are some examples.Items that have never been completed from the original purchase of the boat:The autopilot still does not work properly.The cockpit refrigerated box still is not repaired and only works intermittently.I still have the same problem with water in the fuel alarms.Substandard work that was done:The canvas covers you made are already tearing and the snaps are coming out.The bracket that hols the zipper for the Aft cover has already ripped out.The Yacht service that I requested was not performed for 3 months and this cause items on my boat to fall into disrepair from non-use. An example of this is the impeller for the A/C was stuck.The boat was very dirty and just generally not being maintained. I was told that you were a premier dealership and that was why I should store the boat with you so I could be sure this did not happen and it still did.I have yet to get a response from the general manager about all the problems from trying to purchase the boat until now. I think it is strange he is too busy to be concerned with me as a customer yet the CEO of the company took time on a Sunday to reply to me within 30 minutes of sending him an email, but I guess that is why he is in that position, he cares about his clients.I know this might not be a big sale to your dealership but spending over 250 thousand dollars for a boat is a lot. I have owned several other brands of boats fresh and salt water and never had service this bad.I bought another brand of boat used in Panama City Beach and there was a problem with it and the manufacturer sent his driver from Sarasota to pick up the boat. He made the repairs and also did additional work at cost just because there was an issue with one of his boats. I have similar stories from other manufacturers I have dealt with and I honestly expect that when I make a purchase of this magnitude. I am a business owner and I stand by everything that I do. It is amazing to me that Marine Max has gotten so big with this level of service.David B. Headrick

Outstanding full service dealership with a helpful friendly staff.

The continuing saga with this company goes on. Once again, scheduled pick up time after warranty service was missed. That makes the record 100% for not being ready on time.After being told they would call 45 minutes before it was ready, I knew from experience that I should call them for status. They said I was in the water and just needed a wash. That means I was even later because I was 45 minutes away.When my guests got on board we all left black, really black, footprints in my boat from a dock in serious need of power washing.I think there are well intended and capable people at marine max, but their quality control and management systems are almost non-existent.

Boston whaler dealer. Some boat supplies and parts available but can be limited. Service is slow because they are very busy and very expensive. But very friendly and they know their boats.

Looking on website no prices so must be custom prices depending on who you are, get interrupted several times by chat person ask them the price of a particular boat, no answer have to give your email and other contact details to get the basic price of the boat. I dont think I will be boat shopping here.

Professional, experienced, knowledgeable! Marine max Sarasota Fl runs this place like a true working marina and work yardInitially met MarineMax Sarasota due to several miss diagnosis on my then boat at other service shops, MM gave me an appointment, diagnosed my issue and properly repaired the problemA year later I was purchasing a preowned Searay and spoke with their broker Juan Garcia. Since MarineMax Sarasota had no inventory for the type of boat I wanted, I found a for sale by owner.I called JC who was more than happy to help me out with a model selection and what type of power to have on the modelWhen it came time to resolve the purchase the seller and I ran into kinks since the boat was US Coast Guard documented. Once again JC came to the rescue in directing the seller and myself on the proper way to finalize the transaction
