Made an appointment to view a car and travelled about 40 minutes with cash in hand to purchase. When we arrived was told he sold it 5 minutes ago. When I complained to his wife, who appearantly handles the online communications, she told me I was rude and then tried to explain to me how business works. The place was super sketchy looking and all the reviews Ive read since Daniel took over confirm that I was lucky to have dodged the bullet of doing business there. Many more reputable dealers in the SRQ area.
EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONALWish I could give zero stars, but 1 will do I guess. My boyfriend and I had a family member stop and test drive a volvo they have up for sale (March 11, 2021), not long into the drive the check engine light came on. Now, for the price, mileage and condition; we were still debating on purchasing the vehicle AFTER it was looked over by a Volvo mechanic, at no cost to Sky Motorworks. We asked if it would be okay for us to take it there before we made a decision and the woman we were in contact with became a bit rude and defensive stating “the check engine light is literally nothing”. Even if we didn’t go through with the purchase it would still give them an idea of what needs to be fixed. With that being said, we tried to respond and we were blocked. This business just seems sketchy, and with the customer service we encountered I’d advise everyone who may want to do business with these people to do your research and come prepared for a run around. If you claim to be a reputable dealership, this should not be as much of an issue as it seems.
Horrible in every way. I purchased an item on Ebay, the salesman Grant Lempriere asked for deposit, did not disclose it was nonrefundable and then took my money. The ebay userid they use is proteng. I read other online reviews how he photoshops the images on Ebay and when the car shows up it is not as described. I looked closely at the photos on the Ebay ad and they were clearly photoshopped on the leather seats, erasing any cracks or stains . There was a halo/blurry area at the edge of the seats . (See attached pics from Ebay ad at the front edge of the seat). I have purchased many cars over the years on the internet and all reputable dealerships send the purchase documents and payment information at the same time. He sent me the bank wiring information prior to sending me any purchase documents and wanted me to pay ASAP. I was purchasing the car in my LLC name, yet he claims he could not put a company name as the buyer and could not produce the appropriate purchase agreement. I asked for my deposit refund and he said Ok no problem and then never refunded me. Now Im out $1000. This guy is why the term used car salesman is a bad name. The other bad reviews on Yelp and Google are accurate. BUYER BEWARE!! Everything stated in this review is true and accurate, Im sure the response will be something like its all made up etc, but read the other reviews, its not just one or two people, its several that have had bad experiences with this dealership.
Recently completed a distance purchase of a 2002 MB from Tom Tengerdy. He was very helpful with e-mails, texts, photos and phone calls to go over the car and its history. Tom arranged shipping from FL to NY at a very fair price. He also coordinated a last-minute headliner replacement via Mobile Headliners, who did a really neat job. All purchase paperwork was in order and made it simple for me to register the car. Thanks to Tom, I now have a clean project car to tinker with on the weekends.
Don’t buy from here .. they are scammers
I purchased my Bentley sight unseen from Toms Sky Motorworks in Sarasota, FL. The car arrived and was exactly as described. Im very happy with my purchase. Tom made the process very easy and comfortable for me. I would buy from Tom again.
Im off the chart pleased to have met Tom and am super appreciative of his enthusiastic world class skills in finding a buyer for my Porsche Cayman. I had notified several others and listed the car at a national sales site with zero response, Tom got the job done, securing a very good price in a relatively short time, Thank you Tom! If you have a car to sell this is your guy!
I purchased a classic jaguar from Tom the owner. Great experience. I flew down to Florida. Tom spent most of the day with me going over the car. Up on the lift, long test drive and taking it to a 3rd party mechanic to get an evaluation. Also set up a meeting with the gentleman who built and restored the jaguar. I purchased the jaguar and Tom arrangement shipping up to Boston.
Tom was a delight to work with. We bought our Range Rover Sport sight-unseen and it was delivered to us exactly as it was described. Very smooth transaction. He has heart, which I think is unusual in car sales.
Awesome job 👌👍👌
Tom, the owner, was great to work with. I purchased a car sight unseen and it arrived exactly as described. He was very truthful and upfront along the whole process. I strongly recommend others to do business with Tom.
I just purchased a car from Tom Terngerdy. The experience was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He gave me an accurate description of the car and when it was delivered it beat my expectations. Love doing business with this company and Tom.
You probably have read some terrible reviews about a certain past salesman (who was dismissed).JEREMY is an awesome individual--he is working overtime to help rebuild the reputation of the company.I purchased a Silver Shadow from him just based on his extensive photos and personal assurances. WHAT A MAGNIFICENT AUTO !!!!!!CALL JEREMY and chat with him. You will quickly sense that hes one of the GOOD GUYS !!!Robert L. (Savannah, Ga) -- March 13, 2019
I purchased a car from Grant. I got a great deal and I am happy with my overall experience. He answered all of my questions promptly. The car runs and looks great! I would definitely recommend Grant to my friends and family. He is very polite and professional.
Great car for a great price. I dealt with Noel who was a great salesperson letting the car speak for itself. Noel was very helpful and answered all my questions honestly. Just got back from my mechanic who repairs and services Mercedes Benz. He told me for the great condition of the car, I got one hell of a deal. Thanks Noel.
Dan was great to work with, polite and very knowledgeable. Bought car sight unseen and everything was exactly as described.
Recently purchased a vehicle from Daniel. Couldnt be happier with how smoothly the process went. He was very straight forward and honest, not your typical car salesman. Great quality car for an affordable price. Not to mention I drove my new car home within an hour after arrival. Would absolutely recommend working with Daniel on your next car purchase!
I just dealt with Daniel at Sky and it was a very nice experience very friendly with no B.S. and it took me very little time to recognize that the car I was looking for was at this dealership and that you could do business with them without hesitation.Thank you Daniel and if my wife changes her mind a about the other car we be back for it.The Jag drove very nicely from Sarasota to Apollo Beach. Thanks again Ray
We bought a Mercedes Benz 2016 s600 Maybach from Tom Tengerdy! We are in Massachusets and the car was in Sarasota, Florida. We bought it unseen and we had all the concerns anyone would have. Was the car perfect like Tom said? Was I transferring a bunch of money and getting scammed? Was he really shipping the car so effortlessly? The car arrived in massachusets pristine as described! The wire transfer was completely legit! And the shipping was truly effortlessly and successfully organized!During the process, Tom texted and answered my calls with great efficiency and patience! He was always reassuring me and helping me to feel comfortable. As a matter of fact...I would rather buy every car from Tom moving forward.Hes an honest man that just loves connecting the right cars and with the right people.
I recently purchased a Buick sight unseen for my daughter who is in Alabama. Daniel handled the whole process and answered all my questions, she got the car in three days! Who knew purchasing a vehicle would be so easy. She has reported back that she is 100% satisfied with the car. Thanks Daniel.
Dan is selling my Maserati for me. He gave me great advice for timing and what needed to be done to the car to ensure top dollar. I have decided to lease my next vehicle and again, he guided me through the process even though he had nothing to gain from the sale of that new vehicle. I felt like I really had someone protecting my best interests as I navigated the whole process.Dan is really honest and trustworthy. He made the move from selling to buying actually fun. Thinking of selling or buying call Dan, you will laugh a lot and may even enjoy the whole process!
Many thanks to Sky Motorworks and Daniel. Daniel was extremely helpful and efficient in making this internet transaction as smooth as possible. The Audi A6 was true to everything that was posted online and did not disappoint once I took possession of the vehicle. I would highly recommend Sky Motorworks and Daniel for any future car needs. Thanks again!Michael
Jeremy was great. Totally not a pushy salesperson, but instead very helpful. I bought a Mercedes E from him and Im very happy with it.
We bought a 1995 Lebaron convertible It is more than we hoped to find in our price range .We LOVE our car it runs great. Took it to our mechanic all it needed was a break adjustment.Everyone was very nice to us at Sky. Find the car of your dreams.
I purchased a car over the Internet from Daniel. This is the third car I have bought this way but had not done it in years. It was a positive experience and Daniel was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. I just paid for it yesterday. He helped arrange the transport. I actually received the car this evening. I was not expecting it for 2-3 days! All I can say to that is WOW!!! I bought it yesterday and received it today!!! I also got a great deal on it. I would highly recommend Daniel and this company!
I purchased a Can AM from Tom. I was very sceptical since there were many negative reviews about SKY MOTORWORKS mainly on Yelp. Tom was up front with me about the nasty negative reviews. I drove 3.5 hours to see the vehicle. It was better than Tom described. It is very unfair to use Yelp as a weapon against a business or a person. I will be referring people I know to Tom and Sky Motorworks. Great family man and a very honest business man.
Was sold a car online that was advertised as factory original paint, never repainted. After car delivered has had front bumper, front fenders, good and rear bumper repainted. Hood has a rust hole on under side the size of a 50 cent piece. Seems Daniel has lost the ability to answer for this problem. If you cant visually look at car dont trust these people.
I recently purchased a car from Sky Motorworks. My salesmans name is Grant and from the very first time we spoke up until the time I purchased my car, Grant was extremely polite, knowledgeable and continuously worked hard at finding me the best car that I could afford. Sometimes we feel that we could be taken advantage of when purchasing a car but that was absolutely not the case with Grant. He walked me through every step of the process and I never once felt taken advantage of. He went out of his way to go over all of the details putting any worry that I had to rest. I have purchased quite a few cars in my lifetime but never once have I come across such a polite and helpful salesman as Grant. If you are looking to purchase a vehicle from someone who will not only be with you every step of the way, but who will also be honest and upfront from the very start, I highly recommend you give him a call. You will definitely not be disappointed!
I purchased a 2006 Saab 9-3 Convertible from Dan. When the vehicle arrived it was as described except the Navigation, Convertible top, and turn signals did not work. I immediately called Dan, and he assured me that something must have happened during the transport. I took the Saab to my Saab repair shop and they found that the Navigation system controls the top and the signals; they replaced the Nav system with a new radio, and everything worked fine. Dan kept in communication with me throughout the process, and even reimbursed me for the radio replacement. The Saab is now fully functional, and I am very happy with my purchase, and my salesman. Dan is a Straight Shooter, and I am very appreciative for his professionalism. Jim Blaine, MD Springfield, MO
This was my first experience buying a car sight unseen, I live in California and the car was in Florida. I must say Daniel made the process easy and he put up with my anxiety constantly :) Not once during the process did he not answer my calls or text me within minutes day or night weekends include, this includes after I had paid for the vehicle and it had not been delivered yet. The car was as advertised, he was upfront about three minor issues with the car and we agree he would handle two of them and he did so to request. I got a good price on a GREAT CAR!. Completely satisfied. Thank you very much Dan, I would buy from you again.
The car was delivered as described. I recommend these guys to anyone. They are professional and trustworthy. I guess I could say they under promise and over deliver rather than the other way around.
Ive just made an excellent automobile purchase from Sky Motorworks. For sentimental reasons, we were looking to replace a much-loved 2000 Volvo V40. Daniel of Sky Motorworks had just the very low-mileage, near-mint car we were looking for. Being too far away to view the car personally, we used Skys many excellent digital images and narrative to qualify our interest. Secondly, a phone call with Daniel provided the fine points consulting that answered a range of questions in a credible and satisfying way. Purchasing anything sight unseen is always a risk -- Daniel and Sky Motorworks have proven worthy of the good faith invested. Given the right opportunity, I would do business with them again without question. By the way, Daniel arranged for rapid shipping at an attractive price -- this couldnt have been a better customer experience!
I needed a car shipped to Ohio. Dan was outstanding in helping me thru this process. Professional, courteous and stress free. The car was picked up and delivered on time.
I recently purchased a 2004 Cadillac DeVille from Daniel. Found the car on eBay and was very apprehensive to purchase a car sight on seen, especially one with 90K miles. It was a very smooth car buying experience, car got shipped quickly after payment and I received it two days later! Thanks Daniel.
Daniel is my guy ! I ordered my dream car, a 1991 Mercedes sl500 and I couldnt be happier . From head to toe, this car is in amazing condition, an absolute beauty. Daniel cut me a good deal and kept his word with everything he promised. It got delivered to my home in Los Angeles within a week, looking and feeling like a brand new car. 10/10. Ill be back for sure . Thank you Daniel and sky motor works ! Good business.
Daniel was very informative. Walked me step by step for this was my first time buying a vehicle from out of state. I live in Houston tx he sent me pictures and even videos during his off hours. Outstanding customer service.I received my vehicle faster than I expected during Thanksgiving week which was great because I had my car for the weekend.Overall I highly recommend Daniel. Were now friends on Facebook. Thanks for the great Cadillac!
Very very happy with the car I purchased from Daniel. Helpful and patient while I gathered the funds to make the purchase. Im grateful.
Purchased an LR3 from Daniel at Sky Motorworks. I purchased the vehicle online sight unseen and no test drive. Had the vehicle shipped few hundred miles in 2 days after payment and Daniel kept in contact with me and set up the transport with his recommended shipper JC. Transaction was smooth and vehicle was as expected when it showed up. I would certainly not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from Sky Motorworks.
I love the car I bought from Sky Motorworks. Ive had it a month now and its great. Daniel was my salesman. I would most certainly buy from them again.
I live in Germany and did not want to travel to USA to see the oldtimer Mercedes. Daniel assured me the car would arrive in the condition of the photos and his explanations. I gave bank transfer the money and he shipped me the car. It is a classic 380SL Mercedes. The car arrived in wonderful condition as promised. I am very happy with the car and I am happy to trusted Daniel.
Worked with Dan in purchasing a used 2007 Jaguar S-type (Red) from Sky Motorworks-Sarasota. I was unable to come down (Michigan) to see the car so I bought it sight-unseen. Dan answered all my questions (which were many) and assured me the car was as represented in the many pictures in their website listing. I felt comfortable working with Dan and trusting that this would be a good transaction for me. Dan arranged for the license plating of the car and delivery to my residence in Clearwater. The car was waiting for me when I flew in and exceeded all expectations. It is truly a beautiful car and I am really glad that I found Sky Motorworks and Dan.
The car was just as advertised. Daniel was knowledgeable and made my first internet car buying experience much less stressful than I thought it would be. The car arrived earlier than expected. Thanks! Youll be the 1st place I look for my next ride.
Very pleased with our purchase from Daniel and Sky Motorworks. Daniel and Keith (mechanic) were great to work with for minor repairs and maintenance after the purchase as well.
It was great working with Dan he helped us through everything we needed to do to trade in two vehicles for one and he was very fair and honest excellent to work with thank you Dan
Bought a Mercedes E320 Wagon from Sky Motorworks a year ago. Its been a great daily driver with loads of room for trips to the big box stores and lumberyard. The salesperson Daniel treated us right. Thanks Daniel.
I recently purchased a 1999 Porsche Carrera from Daniel at Sky Motorworks. At 59 years old I do not use the computer much but came across his Porsche on eBay, which I recently learned how to use. I did not want to bid (simply because I do not know how it works), so I called to see what his asking price was. We came to a deal and the car arrived a couple of short days later here in Georgia. This was my first internet car buying experience and not my last from Daniel. Thank you so much!
My car, a Lincoln Continental Mark VIII, was having some age related problems. Therefore I started to look for a reliable, comfortable new car in the Sarasota area. After having focused on several car types I finally decided to look for a Cadillac Eldorado model, a car type which suits my style and driving ambitions. Going through the internet I discovered the car I was looking for at SKY MOTOR WORKS SARASOTA. During my first visit I was met by Ty, who showed great interest and dedication presenting me the car. The car was very clean and well kept and I decided to acquire this vehicle. On my second visit I met Tom Tengerdy, the owner and boss, who gave me all the details about the previous owners such as the carfax and maintenance records. His explanations showed great professionalism and I had the feeling that he really cared about meeting the customers needs. As he also proposed to me a very fair trade in amount for my Lincoln I decided to bring the car to my garage for a mechanical check up. It turned out that the car was in a good shape and I became the owner.I hereby take the opportunity to extend my appreciation to Tom Tengerdy, Ty and all the mechanical staff for the assistance and professional attitude they showed during the sales process.I can recommend SKY MOTOR WORKS SARASOTA to anybody who is looking for a fine and exceptional car.WITH SKY MOTOR WORKS YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS.René Jubin, Sarasota in May 2018
I purchased a car from this guy and the car was in such bad shape when I received it. Was not as described and he lists them on eBay then pulls it off and sells it on the side. Nothing but problems and took me three months to get it registered in California because it was in an accident and he stated that it was not. I cannot even sell the car for close to what I paid for it. It is in the shop once again. Please look elsewhere when making a purchase.
I purchased a 2000 BMW 740iL with approximately 85000 miles (as per the dealership). I talked with my sales person numerous times and requested a thorough inspection along with a list of what was not working. I received information that the tires were bad and the sunroof did not work along with the navigation screen. I paid 200$ extra to get the sunroof fixed. The sales person did Face Time and walked around the car, explaining that everything was great, there were only a few little scratches that possibly could get buffed out. We flew to Florida from Texas to pick up the car and - what a surprise, it was completely different from what I was told and the pictures taken certainly did not come from the car I purchased. The day I got to Florida my sales person texted me that he was no longer working with Sky Motor Works. Here a short list of what was/is not working:Drivers seat adjustment, passenger door cannot be opened from the in- or the outside, the airbag light is on, rear windows do not go up and down, horn does not work, rear driver seat pocket broken, all struts for hood and trunk do not work, seats got re-painted, radio does not work, glove box is broken. On my way to Texas the AC failed. Having the car checked out here, there is a lot of doubts that the mileage is accurate. It is just very unfair to let people travel from Texas to Florida just to get a neglected piece of junk. What was disclosed had absolutely nothing to do with reality. I am right now looking into filing a dealer fraud claim. Do not ever buy anything there, at least not unless you got it checked out by a dealership. That all sound really great, unfortunately it is just fake comments and really nothing is true. Here are the facts.I told Noel, the sales person, that I was looking for a good and RELIABLE car that would get me over the next couple of months since we got flooded last year during Harvey and lost all vehicles (plus the house). That was my motivation. I do not have the time to deal with a Fixer Upper.Nobody ever told me that this was a mechanics car. Noe; said the reason it was sill available was the fact that the headliner was sagging before, but that got fixed meanwhile. The pictures all looked awesome and I downloaded them all for future use. Most of the pictures show a different car. It shows a flawless car with the passenger door open and the glove box closed. With the car I got it was not possible to open the passenger door neither from the inside nor from the outside.Noel texted me he was not at the dealership as he did not work for the company anymore. I understand now why. I had no chance to explain why he lied to me. Obviously Noel is still around as his email address is the one on the website. Can you explain that. And one more thing. If you are the good dealership I suggest we make a deal. I bring the car back to you with new tires and a fixed horn. You give me the money back I paid you.
Daniel was Awesome! He helped me out and I Love the car.
Well like many others I was shopping on eBay for a car when I scrolled across this guys vehicle. I read how wonderful the car drove and what great shape it was in to be almost ten years old and so on. The pictures were great. I’ll give him that! I had multiple conversations with him over the phone about the car and I like the trustworthy fool I am believed every word he said. I was excited I found my dream car for under ten thousand dollars!! Im embarrassed to admit that I drove from Roanoke, VA to Sarasota, FL in a rental car to pick up my dream Land Rover. Yes, Im a fool. It took me about fourteen hours to get there but I didnt care. I enjoyed the drive and I knew I was going to be driving back in my favorite Land Rover. After finally arriving to the address I had to triple check my GPS because surely it was wrong. I pulled up in what seemed to be a junk yard or some sort of scrap yard. I was waiting to be ambushed, shot and whatever else. I immaculately realized how foolish my decision was to drive so far on one mans word. I mean, he has a 100% rating on eBay! I finally meet the guy and see the Land Rover in person for the first time. I almost fell to my knees in tears. How on God’s green earth can you make pictures look flawless and present me a vehicle covered in scratches and dents!? Its genius to pour amoral over the faded paint spots and just about every inch of the vehicle to make it all blend in. The car looks great from a thousand feet away! The interior was covered in baby oil to bring out the shine in the leather seats. The odor was horrendous! The navigation screen was shot and everything was worn completely out. He was amazing at staging the car for its photo shoot! I thought since I came so far maybe I can at least test drive the Land Rover just to say I did. I knew I wasn’t going to buy it but I still wanted to drive it. Bad idea! Naturally the tires were almost balled and the Land Rover had been dogged out. It was like driving on a vibrator. I couldn’t keep the thing on the road. How can this guy lie like that on eBay? Can anything be done? The answer is, No. I didn’t go through eBay to purchase the car. I foolishly took it upon myself to drive down there and take care of business alone. Not smart! I can’t report him to eBay or rate my transaction because I didn’t have one. Hopefully whoever is reading this will learn from my mistake. This guy had nothing on his lot worth more than $2,000. Make sure you do your research and read peoples reviews so you won’t end up like us on here typing about our misfortunes. Please feel free to see the text he left me. I uploaded a screenshot. My type of people? SMHWell thought out response. I simply was sharing my experience with you. I was well aware of what you were representing with the pictures and phone conversations. When I first approached the vehicle I thought you made a mistake in showing the wrong one. I’m the idiot here, not you! I’m the one at fault for trusting your word and photos. That’s on me. Eighty percent of your response is bologna and I’m sure you know that. If you’re ok with that on your conscious then great! That’s not how I conduct myself. I’m a simple person and I wasn’t expecting anything near new. You and I both know that LR3 needs at least $3000 worth of work to even be considered halfway decent. I wish you all the best in selling your cars but I was strongly suggesting to future prospects to do the research themselves before falling for a scam like I did. I apologize but this is how business works. At least we both have learned from this disaster.
The right headlight didnt work the first time I drove the car at night. It needed a new headlight module. Daniel, who said he did not imagine the new owner would have to replace the wheels or the tires was wrong. All the tires needed replacing. The driver display, turned deceptively off in the eBay pictures was unreadable, the battery was too small, and the keyfobs remote features dont work. I tried to contact Daniel for two days about these defects, and he ignored me. When I posted the truth, he and the owner, Tom, in response, lied about what I had been told. I called Daniel on his lies, and he cursed at me, told me I was hurting how he feeds his family and hung up. Hes sold at least two more of these Audi TTs on eBay and each one, including mine, is the nicest hes ever seen. I got the CarFax report on my car and found that when Daniel virtually always says the car was obtained locally, he means a Texan car at auction. Despite Daniel saying the AC blew ice cold in his Ebay listing, the first time I tried it today, it only blew lukewarm. Basically he says all the same right things for the multiple Audi TTs he lists on Ebay but a lot of what he says unfortunately isnt true. Touchup paint was liberally and sloppily applied almost everywhere. There was signifigant damage by the license plate compartment, possibly from a bike rack, that was just spraypainted over. There were even two dime sized holes. The car he sold me is a money pit. Im not angry. I can afford this. Just disappointed in being lied to and disappointed in myself for being so gullible. You might as well buy a good looking car at an auction and hope for the best. It looks to me that is what Sky Motorworks does. If the buyer is happy, he or she just got lucky. I dont think Sky wants to sell you a bad car, but if they get a dud at auction, from my experience they will do their best to unload it on an unsuspecting dupe like myself. If a person gets lucky with a good one, Skyworks must plead for a good review from the buyer. How else are there so many good reviews when they sell auction cars that only look good from 6 feet away? Look at the funny stories the owner posts on his website. They are mostly about taking advantage of a seller who didnt know the worth of the car he was selling. I listened to the owners responses and bought the car. Learn from me.
We dealt with salesperson Daniel Maisonet and owner Tom Tengerdy. Crooks! We have since learned that the first is a convicted felon in the state of Florida and the owner is currently in financial trouble having multiple unpaid judgments per Sarasota County Clerk of Courts. Sky Motorworks advertised a car on Ebay as a non smoker car, which was an essential condition for any car purchase as we have a daughter who is highly allergic. The car arrived about a week later with extensive cigarette damage (see photos on YELP or do google image search) and a disgusting cigarette smoke smell coming from the vents. Sky Motorworks has refused to buy back the car.
I have never purchased a car sight-unseen over the internet. I usually fly and inspect a car if its far away from my home. I had found a Porsche convertible on eBay that Sky Motorworks had for sale. Im from Colorado and the car was in Florida. I was purchasing the car as a surprise for my wifes birthday and didnt have the time to drop my work schedule to go look at the car. The salesman (Daniel) at Sky offered to do a facetime walk-around the car as we talked about it. After the facetime session I felt confident to just buy the car and have him quickly ship it to me. Those few nights were the longest sleepless nights wondering what I had done and what I was going to receive. Yes, I was able to see the cosmetic imperfections with facetime, but didnt drive it. I relied on a salesmans opinion. I was scared. Well, the car arrived and I must say that it is better than I thought it would be. The car drives great and everything works as Daniel said. My wife is extremely happy ~ so Im extremely happy too. Thanks Daniel!
I purchased a car from Sky Motorworks back in July. The car was delivered unusable. They completely scammed me. Will not respond to communication. On July 5th, I purchased a 1996 Mercedes Benz S320 from Sky Motorworks. I made this purchase after talking with the salesman, a man named Daniel several times about the condition of the car. I asked very, very specific questions regarding the status of two components: The headgasket and the HVAC system. Daniel assured me that both were fine and the car was an impressive and very clean car. He also stated that the car was completely leak and drip free. I asked these questions, because, in a past career, I worked on these cars, and am familiar with these particular issues. The car was delivered several days later, and immediately was leaking both oil and coolant from the car. Additionally, the front bumper was broken. I immediately called Daniel and he said that it wasnt broken or leaking when it left. Blatant lies. The front bumper had a broken mount that had been broken for some time, with a zip tie holding it on. Additionally, the bottom of the car was caked with oil and grease, of which I documented with pictures. The head gasket, water pump, and heater core were all bad on the car. I took it to an independent mechanic and had this verified. I paid $4120 (a premium price for this car, since it was advertised as a creampuff, and have estimates for over $2500 from the mechanic) When I contacted Sky Motorworks, and let them know they had to make the situation right, or Id be contacting my lawyer, they immediately had their legal counsel contact me. They tried to say that they didnt sell me the car, and that they were just acting as a middle man for a customer. I produced a sales receipt from them, as well as the title, with their name on it. Daniel immediately called me up and offered to pay me money to make this go away, since it was getting messy. I have not heard from them since. So far, I have a $4120 car, thats not drivable...and $2500 worth of receipts to try and make it drivable. I have absolutely been scammed by this company. I have bought over 30 cars online, and have never once been burned like this. They are the definition of a sleazy used-car outfit. Of note, I have documentation of all of the correspondence between myself, Daniel, and their legal counsel.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION as of 9/29:Just called them to discuss the complete lie of their response, to which Daniel hung up on me.1. I live in Indiana.2. I have been unable to register the car due to it being non-drivable3. I am gainfully employed.4. I never called and yelled, saying I was going to ruin him5. I purchased the car with my AMEX.6. I have uploaded screenshots from the conversations that weve had. Proof positive that they are lying in their rebuttal.7. Daniels classic response is that he has to feed his kids. Do better at your job, be honest, and dont be a sleazy car dealer. Simple. They are a scam car dealer. Beware! Feel free to click on my public photos to see proof.
Great car Great people, Thanks to Daniel and stuff !!!!
Snakes in the grass, Dont do business with these.
Bought car sight unseen. It came as described, would do business with this company again. Thanks Dan.
Owner is a jerk!
Total disappointing...
