This is is one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. The owner is super friendly and helpful. They really seem like coffee experts.Food and coffee were both amazing, local and fresh. There is plenty of seating. The vibe and ambience are great as well.

Fantastic coffee. We were greeted as we came in and were recommended to have the popular drink called the flat white. This was the best coffee we have had in a while. The beans were so flavorful and delicious. We enjoyed our visit.

If someone mentions breakfast or coffee, I’m always down to try something new. We found a gem with this quaint shop! Ran by husband and wife, they do an excellent job. We tried the maple bean latte and the pull; very impressed with the natural bean flavors present and how it was made. Super smooth. Breakfast wise we ate the coconut yogurt parfait and the hash brown sammie. BLOWN AWAY by this sandwich. Hats off to this family! Only down side I can say is that I wish the guy making our coffee explained the different coffees a little more with less fancy terms. Must try in Sarasota!

Excellent experience. I love the atmosphere when I walked in, I was greeted right away and welcomed as a first timer. I wasnt sure what to order so I told the gentleman I wanted something sweet, kind of like a latte. He made the perfect drink! It was the perfect level of sweet with still the great flavor you expect from coffee. And this cinnamon twist is delicious. Definitely recommend!!!

An amazing coffee shop with very uniquel coffee offerings that you normally do not see in Florida. I have to give the barista amor of credit. Working the register and making the drinks solo and everything was made to perfection and didnt rush the process. Some of the most genius decor Ive ever seen in a coffee shop. The portafilter handle as a light fixture is next level. Would recommend 1000 percent for a great tasting coffee.

Im split on Perq.The location, service and vibe were great.The food and drink were meh.The pricing is absurd.A cold brew and an avocado toast (of this size) should not cost over $21. I might visit again for the vibe, but Ill probably eat beforehand.

Great place for any coffee lover. It has all the ingredients for a perfect coffee shop. The coffee is great, even the drip that they had on hand. I love the lighter roasts and this place does not do any dark roast so you know you’re getting the full flavor of the coffee bean. The ambiance is also amazing. It’s a great place to study and get things done with plenty of seating and plenty of outlets throughout. It is well decorated and has that awesome chill vibe. The barista was super kind and it seemed like he really enjoys his job. There is greenery throughout. I also loved the outdoor seating. One note is that the coffee is slightly more than what you may be used to paying but it is worth for that delicious and rich flavor in your coffee!

Great selection of coffee and if you enjoy espresso they have a large selection of espresso drinks. Cozy indoor seating space and an inviting outdoor seating space as well. Dog friendly! Really delicious Gluten Free baked goods too!

This is literally the best coffee I’ve had on the east coast and that includes NYC, my home town. BUT it for true coffee lovers. If you’re a latte and two packets of Splenda person you should stick with Starbucks. This is strong, incredibly flavorful, multi-note coffee that should be had as close to black as possible - I find the cortado to be ideal.I know that sounds snobbish but whatever. You wouldn’t pour ketchup on fllet mignon, right? (If the answer is yes then keep it movin buddy.)

Visting Sarasota & happy to find some delicious coffee with a well curated roaster selection.We got the Filter coffee, a Heart Ethiopia, which was well made, mellow, floral, and easy to drink. He generously gave us an espresso to try - a honey processed citrusy Costa Rican. Yum! Thanks Perq for some great coffee.

Stop looking around for the best coffee shop in Sarasota because this is it. Weve tried more than a few shops and were underwhelmed and disappointed until we visited Perq. The deus roadie is so smooth and more than I should be spending on a cup of coffee but I justify being on vacation as a great reason to indulge. The cold brew is also great and for my taste I added a little cream and touch of sugar. I read they are the only coffee shop in Florida to use a special Slayer espresso machine. You can definitely taste the difference in the quality and flavor. The bar is very clean and they also have a small selection of pastries. We live 45 minutes away so Perq will definitely be a stop for us when we are in town.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Sarasota. Delicious coffee and my personal favorite keto friendly treats! They also make a delicious decaf that is Swiss method so no chemicals. The baristas are super friendly and make delicious drinks. Prices are competitive for the quality of the food and drinks. Def a nice place to start your day! Highly recommend!!

I love coffee although Im not an expert. I like cheap and expensive coffee the same. But I love a good specialty coffee. I tried Perqs, took one look at the menu and knew I was in uncharted territory. Ive never heard of any of the terms. But the barista suggested their most popular Flat White and I asked for a sugar free syrup added. They had sf maple. So I gave it a try. At first I wasnt sure because it was different. It only took a couple of sips to decide I really liked it. It was very thick and creamy. I will definitely go back and try another. I believe he told me the coffee was from Ethiopia. Im glad I tried it!

We arrived and there was a small line outside the door....which is always a good sign. Our barista was super nice and our coffees delicious. Nice ambience.

Great cafe with excellent coffee. They are definitely one of the best in Sarasota! I love that they normally have a couple options for espresso and typically they are single origin. I have been here several times, and some of my drinks were a touch frothy for my taste, but solid espresso. If you are looking for great coffee in Sarasota, stop here!

I think it was expensive for what we had for breakfast. But I guess you have to take the neighborhood is in, into account. The place it self looks like a trendy coffee shop, in trendy neighborhood.

Perq coffee bar certainly stood out as top notch. I was impressed just by watching how they made coffee. They also use Daikin farms milk, which I know was part of the reason my iced latte with honey was amazing! I went with my mom & she ordered the GF/sugar free chocolate peanut butter donut & it was so delicious! I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone who wishes to have superb, high-quality coffee drinks.

Went on a Friday around 11am. There was only one person behind the espresso bar and we waited for five minutes or so. My partner and I both ordered a nitro brew, they tasted watered down so we didnt enjoy them much. The inside of the place had a minimalist feel that I enjoy and the outside had a nice patio with umbrellas and tables. Id go back but would definitely try something else next time.

Best coffee in town by far! The owner is extremely knowledgeable and is always willing to educate my husband and I when we come in! We feel very lucky to have such a nice specialty coffee shop here in Sarasota!

Just went to Perq for the second time, and the Hibiscus Rose iced tea never fails! On top of that, the oatmeal was to die for; some of the freshest fruit Ive ever eaten. As a vegan, the incredible food in Sarasota is such a gift, and it means a lot to be able to enjoy the crazy good food of local shops. You can tell from the ambience of Perq that they really care about coffee as an art. Quality is always a priority, and it shows in every sip. One of my favorite coffee bars, hands down! :)

My family and I just vacationed in Sarasota and I thought I’d have to take a hiatus from my love of good coffee for a week. I was so wrong. Perq is just what I hoped I’d find in Florida. The quality of the drinks were second to none and the atmosphere reminded me of our hometown coffee scene in Philly with more friendly service. I’ll be frequenting this spot anytime I’m in Sarasota, and you should too!

First time to a very upscale coffee bar that has knowledgeable staff and one of the best avocado toast (Cali Avo Toast) I have ever had. The Guatemalan Americano on Ice was amazing and paired perfectly with my lunch.Fast WiFi and comfy couches to relax make this a new favorite place to work for a couple hours a day

Exceeded expectations. Comfy and cozy, with good donuts and an excellent egg bake. Cashier was helpful without any snobbery. More or less a craft coffee spot.

Perk is awesome. Their breakfast sandwich with pimento cheese is the best breakfast sandwich in town and the old fashion donuts are amazing. We always get green tea which is also good. The staff is super friendly and they are well equipped to handle customers during the pandemic. I highly recommend.

Went there for my first time today. I have heard this place has the most amazing coffee ever and the staff takes such caution and is very precise with orders that its insane. I spoke to the barista about what to get when it comes to a iced coffee. I said I like caramel and almond milk in it, but the place does maple syrup instead which I thought at first was very peculiar. Boy, did he made me the most delicious coffee Ive ever tasted. I thought Buddy Brew was amazing. Move over Buddy Brew you have a new competition. My new favorite coffee place now! They are Amazing! Thank you for making my day!

Best coffee in Florida. Before I moved to Sarasota, I used to order all my bags of coffee from Anthonys Italian Coffee House in Philly, which has excellent coffee. Now I buy fresh beans from the Perq and perfectly smooth coffee drinks served up by the owner who is knowledgeable and amiable. Roast date on a new bag of beans is usually within a day or two. If you love coffee, the Perq is the place to go in Sarasota.

Muffin, donut and two fist sized white lattes was over twenty bucks. Line was long and only one guy behind the counter. After serving us I asked where the sugar was, his response? Yea, you shouldve told me that before I made it. I simply asked where the sugar was.I am really in awe of the high ratings. This place really needs a major tune up on every level.

Im hesitant about leaving a review for a coffee shop/cafe Ive never actually eaten at. Its in a nice location on Hillview and theres plenty of parking around it. The ambience is nice and from what Ive been told, the food is very good. However... This is the 3rd or 4th time Ive tried to go there on a Saturday morning and wasnt able to get service in a reasonable time frame. The line is long and theres generally only one person behind the counter who is taking orders and preparing drinks/food. Its painfully slow and I keep giving up and going somewhere else out of frustration. Its a fast casual restaurant where you wait in line to order, and then wait for your order to be prepared. If it was a sit-down table service restaurant, this would probably be a non-issue since you would have a place to sit and maybe drink something while waiting on your order. But if takes 4x longer to get your food (with most of that spent standing in a line) than it does to actually consume it, that is a non-starter for me. Hopefully they get more help someday as Id like to try it and update my review.

The absolute best coffee in Sarasota & Manatee County and it’s locally owned and operated! There is plenty of comfortable seating for studying or meetings and the WiFi is great! After trying their flat white I am no longer able to drink anything from Starbucks. Highly recommended!

Loved this place! It was Ethiopian coffee I had. And my son had Kyoto iced coffee. Also cinnamon rolls and pistachio muffins were good! A guy who was in the counter was so nice and friendly. He explained about this coffee bar. I’m definitely coming back soon!

Coffee isnt JUST about the beverage.For me, its about the experience a place gives you, and the sense of belonging that you feel.Being from Los Angeles, I knew that finding something better than just a Starbucks would be a challenge, especially in a place like Sarasota.Ive said this a lot to many people Ive taken here, I honestly feel that Perq helped me feel very excited to move and still have a place to feel like I was back home.Come in.Sit down.Take it all in, and savor each sip.

My wife and I came in about two weeks ago to try the coffee and I had to investigate if these were coffee people. There are a lot of coffee shops that know nothing about coffee. These guys were awesome. My wife’s words were “he speaks your language.” The cold brew, the espresso, and the people are excellent! I’ll be back every time I’m in the area!

The guys that work there are great, pretty good atmosphere. Really good people. But I didn’t really like the drip coffee (pour over) a bit too bitter for my liking. I did not enjoy the coffee. And I was charged $5.35! The guys that worked there were really cool. But because of the price, and because the coffee was not to my liking, I will not be going back to this place. But I wish them all the best!

Chill place to sit and have a coffee, didn’t try the food so that might be good. I had a nitro brew and it was definitely less then okay. It didn’t have that distinct taste that nitro typically has. It was also a bit watery. This could be a preference thing because I do enjoy my coffee to be on the stronger side. Will likely try one more time to see if some of the other drinks are better!

By far the best coffee I’ve had in Sarasota. They were definitely the pioneers of specialty coffee in this region. Their pour overs, Kyoto cold brew, and espresso drinks are all excellent.

Love this place. I had a business meeting here, and there was a spot available for us, and we were able to be there as long as we needed. The guy serving me coffee was very helpful in explaining my options to me since they dont have names of the coffee options that Im used to. And of course, the coffee I had was very good :)

My fiancée and I came here for the first time yesterday as we had heard they did a Keto breakfast sandwich (called the ‘Chauffy’) because we are keto diet followed. I am also a big coffee fan and can’t seem to find good coffee in Sarasota.This place is hands down the best coffee shop I’ve been to in Sarasota. They even do keto donuts which were delicious.I don’t write reviews often because ashamedly I’m quite lazy, but this place deserves 5 mins of time doing a write up!

I was overwhelmed by the unique menu when I walked into Perq my first time. I explained to the man what I normally drink (latte with flavors) and he gave me his alternative (flat white, slightly sweet). I actually like it so much better than my usual. Their espresso flavor is so smooth. I went in with confidence a couple more times, knowing what to order now. I was greeted by the same smiling man with a friendly and professional demeanor each time I went in. I watched as he took care of his regular customers with rememberence of their usual orders. After a few visits I tried one of their breakfast specials to go... Toast with avacado, radishes, shaved boiled egg, and delicious spices. Ive never had anything like it before and I loved it!! All of the flavors melded perfectly. The lady who brought it out had the same friendly attitude and great smile. After a couple more visits, I tried their Ham Sammy which was spiced deliciously with such unique flavors. Their menu is worth every penny. Unfortunately I wont be on that end of town in the mornings anymore, but I will definitely make an effort to go back again if I end up with a morning available. Theyre worth the drive for me. From the coffee to the food to their great attitudes ... I cant help but start my day with a smile if Ive been to Perq first.
