This place was very clean and the staff were genuinely welcoming. The food seemed somewhat lacking in flavor, but that might just be what comfort food tastes like here. Theres a lot to see here beyond just the restaurant. Its a fun destination for families, and maybe especially so for retirees. If you like country, Christmas, comfort food, and the company of lots of older folks, this is really fun.

Delicious and homemade everything is absolutely amazing here. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Large parking lot with handicap spaces and accessibility to the building. On site gift shop offers fun and interesting things. Can be busy at times with buses so perhaps call ahead to see if they have any buses that are coming in. Otherwise enjoy the beauty of Amish country and a wonderful meal and take some family youll have a great time. Enjoy!😋

I was surprised to see that the buffet was open! This was my first time here. The food was pretty good. I really liked the atmosphere and the service was fantastic. The next time Im in Amish Country I will absolutely come back! The wait was kinda long but we browsed the bakery and gift shop and it helped pass the time.

Staff was perfect. Friendly and professional. The food was so much better this time around. Everything was hot and fresh. The fried chicken honestly reminded me of my grandma. The salad bar was delightful. I even got some peach pie to go!

Get the buffet. It must be the way to eat here affordably. I thought by ordering from the menu it would cost less, but I was wrong. Two of us ate lunch here, off the menu, and each of us had a soft drink. The bill was approx. $40.00 Thats way too much for lunch. :(

Alright dude straight up! This restaurant has an awesome buffet! We left so full that we took a nap when we got home lol I mean it was delicious I had a little bit of everything and none of it wss bad at all I loved it! This my moms favorite restaurant its in my top few for sure. This was my first time at this location but I was disappointed at all. Id definitely come back! Between the food and the service this is it doesnt get much better then here. If you havent eaten here before give it a try you wont be disappointed!

Delicious is the best word for Dutch Valley. We love this restaurant. The food is amazing and definitely home cooked food. We love the all you can eat buffet. You can also order off the menu if youre not a buffer kind of person. They have a kids menu with lots of options (including buffet). They have lots of seating which helps. If you ever see a line outside or think the parking lot looks crowded, Stop and eat here anyway. The lines move fast as you wait to get seated. They have many tables inside waiting for customers. Service is friendly and fast. They also have a gift shop and bakery. Be sure to check it out. They have bathrooms inside too. Definitely recommend trying their food.

Hudson was a very efficient and personable waitress. Her service was excellent! We had a table for all 14 of us and only had a wait time of 30 minutes. Servings sizes were good too, we did not leave hungry!

Always hot, delicious, and good variety for Amish cooking. The salad and hot food bar are open again. Busy but seated within 5 minutes. Excellent and attentive service. Have children’s menu and pricing for the buffet as well. Check out their gift shop and bakery while there too!

We met friends from Northern Ohio who had never been there before. The best bargain is the buffet which includes all meats and sides and salad bar at 15.99. We had thatWe also chose fresh glazed peach pie with homemade ice cream for dessert . With buffet you get a $1 off. We also purchased baked goods and cheese and gift itemsOur friends agree that the clean friendly atmosphere is worth the trip. They have plans to return with friends and family tooMy family has gone there for years with no complaintsOur favorite Amish restaurant.

I had a lunch and later had dinner. Yeah the same day. Our hostesses waiter and waitress even the cashier were fantastic people. The Meals were great and employees even better. Weve eaten there for years and will continue to come back. I have not been to the theater but hope too soon.

Delicious, fresh made food, large variety of different items on the buffet, also nice salad bar. Friendly and knowledgeable workers, clean and organized restaurant and facilities. Nice size bakery with fresh made bakery goods, delicious desserts. Fresh ground coffee, which you can buy a cup, or a pound. Great selection of different types of products from calendars, greeting cards, purses, and so much more, and very reasonable prices, much more reasonable than other places with comparable products. Beautiful dining halls, separate rooms for larger groups and very accommodating. You will definitely enjoy your time here and make sure you get there early because the secret of how nice of a place this is, is definitely getting out.

Amazing food! Don’t expect miles of buffet but do expect they have all the delicious favorites. The restaurants staff are fantastic and friendly and the restaurant is incredibly clean and inviting. There is sometimes a wait during busy hours but its worth it. Also, be sure to check out the gift shop and bakery. Also nearby is a little playground and some little buildings for kids to play in!

BROASTED. CHICKEN. You could pretty much stop there, its reason enough to go here for dinner. The rest of the food was also excellent, and the staff are all warm and welcoming, with a real sense of down home hospitality.Grab a slice of fresh baked pie or a scoop of their homemade vanilla ice cream, and visit the bakery on your way out the door too. Cant go wrong!

Dutch Valley Restaurant was a pleasant surprise. We were in the area shopping & decided to grab lunch. While they have a full menu, we opted for the buffet since it offered so many more options than ordering something comparable from the menu. The buffet was well worth the $14.95 and included a full salad bar with tons of toppings & dressings. On the hot side, there was mashed potatoes, stuffing, different gravies, veggies, other sides, choice of meats, and desserts. Our server was Edna - what a gem! Edna was fabulous! She was attentive and very friendly & cordial. There was an entire section adjacent to the restaurant that had all kinds of baked goods- including their famous dinner rolls and pastries the size of small pizzas! We will definitely be back & hope to have Edna as our server again! Highly recommend!

The buffet is home cooking country buffet. Around $15 a head. 4 stars cause there isnt much variety. Mashed potatoes, breading, green beans corn and fried chicken. Thats it. Salad bar has no fruit but hey the food tasted great.

The food is good but they were having limited menu item due too few grill workers. The fresh rolls and butter was great and peach lemonade was so good.

Way too long of a wait to get a table and food was way overpriced. Buffet was too expensive and didnt have a very good variety. Some of our group did Buffet and some ordered off the menu. Green beans were cold and no hot rolls. Mashed potatoes were good but no white gravy. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. One order was wrong but the waitress got it corrected. They have good pies.

We had a very nice mid- afternoon lunch. The buffet was full and inviting. Very tasty! The only thing that I would add to the buffet is a seafood option since I don’t eat meat - I’d been to a similar buffet in Hocking Hills and they had a shrimp and grilled salmon option that was a great addition.

Food was amazing and VERY filling! The place was extremely clean and the waitress done a phenomenal job for our party of 12!! I highly recommend this place even if its an hour wait for a table!!!

I always enjoy this restaurant. The staff is always so friendly and attentive and the food is always delicious. They have a cute gift shop with some homemade Amish goods and you can also purchase homemade food. I cant recommend this place enough.

Ate buffet, fully covered and the servers put the food on your plate. Salad was fresh and crunchy. All the food was excellent and the waitress also! They had a nice market the was separate from the restaurant!Lots of cool gifts and handmade items!

Had a friend from Dayton passing through and I highly recommend your foot. Him and his wife stopped in for fried chicken. First plate was cold. He asked for more and it was only luke warm. What kind of fly by night place do you have. Ill be telling everyone I know how terrible your food is. Not for me we did the buffet and most of the food was overcooked and gross. We asked for peanut butter to put on our bread and when we got it there was a big long hair in the peanut butter we told the waitress about it and she had no reaction to it at all. The chicken is steamed and not very good at all. I have been here a few times and it never quite seems to be as good as they make it out to be.

I really was not impressed. The name is deceptive. Its not an Amish Eatery at all. Its barely even Amish themed. The decor is the Nicest part of the entire establishment. The food is industrial bulk cooked mush with no attention to detail or real flavor. Two words. Just No.

This place is amazing! The buffet food is phenomenal. It is the best buffet food Ive ever had. The Amish can really cook!The table comes with bread and condiments such as Apple butter and peanut butter.The buffet comes with the salad bar. At the salad bar they put out random desserts and sometimes have cookies!Let me tell you, the Amish have perfected the chocolate chip cookie.My favorite buffet items are the pan seared chicken, sweet corn, and bread pudding. (Besides the cookies)I almost forgot about their broccoli cheese soup. The food here was excellent, home-style cooking. Everything was delicious. The prices were reasonable. I had the $10.99 buffet and loved it. The decor was nice and the staff were very friendly. I will absolutely eat here again, if my travels ever bring me back this way.

Good food. But now cut menu back so dont have any sandwiches for lunch. Only things on menu is their special roast beef,pork or turkey dinner. Nothing for people who has smaller appetites. Very disappointed wont be back there and they use to be our go to restaurant in Amish Country.

Let me first say that the staff was outstanding. Friendly, courteous, and punctual. Unfortunately that couldnt make up for the bland, lack of flavor in all of the food.Every step of the way it just felt like this was what happens when Amish country meets corporate America, even the elaborate approach made it feel like if we were looking for authentic we should have kept driving but we were determined to give it a try.I cant imagine a scenario where wed ever go back and I wont be recommending them to anyone else who is looking for Amish cooking.2nd star is only for a hard working staff.

After dining here we all were stuffed with good food and dessert. Our waitress was very pleasant and checked on us regularly. The prices were very fair and the fried apple pie was to die for.

Disappointing. We seen all over the internet that this is the best place to eat in Amish Country with a huge buffet offering a large variety. Not how I would describe it at all. The food was eatable at best. The buffet was small with very few options. A lot of reviews said the fried chicken was the best, yet it was probably the worst fried chicken Ive ever had. Not only was the food and variety disappointing, but twice I picked up a clean plate that clearly had big chunks of food still on them. Staff was friendly. Wont be back and wouldnt recommend.

Extremely upset with my dining experience on Wed., July 21st around 4 pm. as I have a mobility scooter & after ordering, a lady, whom I assume was a manager came to me & asked if they could move my mobility scooter. Obviously I stated, No & yes, I was alone as I usually am when dining out. As I understand my server, Marcella complained, & Ive been to Dutch Valley a multitude of times during the 7 yrs. Ive needed my mobility scooter & NEVER have I been asked this!!! Now, I dont allow anyone to handle it but me!!! I was seated in a booth on the end & yes, I do request a booth at restaurants & usually dont go at peak times. This was the worst experience Ive ever encountered at Dutch Valley 😪 it has made me feel discriminated Against! I dont know what Marcellas problem is with a person needing a mobility scooter & ppl. need to realize these devices are our lifelines & we need them beside us, plus they are expensive. Also, one NEVER knows when their life may change & they need the use of those!!!!

We got the liver and onions, they were out of baked potatoes, my husband got a baked sweet potato and I got mashed potatoes the mashed Potatoes were cold. Parts of the liver were tuff! The waitress was right on top of her section!

All of the food was excellent. There were many different selections. All of my favorites were there. Especially the chicken salad, the broccoli salad and the three bean salad. Stuffing was very good and looked very homemade. The chicken was moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The bread pudding was very good and almost custard like. The meatballs were excellent. I highly recommend this place.

The buffet had a variety of different comfort foods and you could tell everything was homemade. The desserts were fantastic too. Staff were friendly and our waitress was very attentive. Make sure you wear your eatin pants, because you wont leave hungry!Visited the bakery afterwards where you could purchase in house or locally made baked goods, salsas, pickles, etc.

My favorite place to eat in Ohio. Top notch food! Top notch service. Amazing bakery! I have never eaten a bad meal here and I have been here dozens of times. Everyone I have taken here over the years has immediately declared it one of their favorites.

Not impressed. Went with a large group. The place was pact. Get inside and the buffet was really small nothing more than chicken to choose from meat wise. So basically paid 20 bucks a head counting your drink for a chicken dinner. Food did taste good. But sign up saying due to COVID-19 not much of a selection. There were several vegitables and some noodles. Mashed potatoes were ok. And gravy was on spot . But as I said just a overpriced chicken dinner when its all said and done . Did not see any other meats

Enjoyed the food but definitely not as good as Der Dutchman. Dinner rolls were slightly warm instead of the fresh made we had a day earlier at Der Dutchman. Staff were friendly and we appreciated the ample hand sanitizer stations.

Visited on a Sat around 3 pm. Didn’t have a long wait today. Tables too close together waitress got order wrong but maybe it was kitchen. Food ok. My food was not even luke warm. Not as good as it used to be. Service slow Waitress only had 5-6 tables. Started taking plate I had to ask for a box for my left overs Bathroom was quite messy I.e. toilet paper in floor, dirty, out of soap. No one attended to it

Breakfast is really good, but if youre looking for dinner, the buffet, for the price, is rather disappointing. Minimal selection at best. We opted for pie afterwards instead of the only dessert they have on the bar, bread pudding. Dutch apple isnt very good. Well try a different dinner place next time.
