Amazing to always go too! If I ever have an issue with my phone I always go into the apple store because I know that apple can always help me with my needs. The employees are so nice and have such a nice personality because they like working there. I recommend anyone who has an apple product or is wanting to get an apple product to come here to make sure there devices are good to go or to buy the newest tech In our world today!
I have always had fast friendly service when visiting this store. It is always better to book an online appointment for the Genius Bar since this is the only store in our area. So, I understand it may be a little bit of a wait if you walk in - instead of making an appointment first.
This is the flagship store for Sarasota/Bradenton. Right after product release they had limited supply compared to other locations so I had to wait for the iPhone pro max and the Apple Watch to get shipped to the store. During COVID lock down the lineup and scheduling process was cumbersome, but recently (July ‘21) I’ve been able to walk in and get what I wanted without an appointment (not sure if this is typical).PS do your homework so you know exactly what you want because the staff don’t necessarily know all the details.
I’ve always had a great experience at this store. This time Wade took care of me and my friend and he was amazing. We did an exchange and he went above and beyond to make it possible, fast and easy. Awesome store. We made an appointment (much easier to get helped) to look at computers. Peter helped us for a long time going over the differences and such. He was extremely helpful. We love having an Apple store here to go to rather than ordering online. Seeing the various products upfront makes a big difference.
What an excellent store! I don’t know if it’s because I came in with a calm demeanor and non abrasive tone, but I feel the attitude of everyone there is awesome. I believe it was Frank who helped me out; but he was prompt and courteous and I have zero complaints. Anyone who gave negative reviews to this Apple may have not worked in customer service before.
Eleanor Was just magical! I went to like 4 or 5 store to look for an iPhone 13 pro or max, because I forgot to preordered it, there is non available! I was told no couple of times at the store, and if I order one, it won’t be available till November which I can’t wait for that long! She pull off this magic, look through inventory and everything and find this amazing iPhone 13 pro gold! I can not thank her enough! She is incredible!!!!

When I first walked in with my friend the guy who took care of me (with black nails) only make reference to him for that because he never told us his name gave us horrible customer service and answered with attitude when asking him questions, Erin then came along and she was absolutely amazing and so caring she went on and beyond and gave us so many options and solutions when I go back I will be asking for her!
Wow! This was the BEST customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. My fiancé’s iPhone 12 broke last night after dropping it on the concrete. We were visiting Tampa and decided to stop by a Best Buy location to see if they could get us a replacement on the spot. The told us no, and that it would take 10-15 days to have a new one shipped to us. T-mobile, his provider, also didn’t have any great options. He works off his phone all week every week, and we live in Tallahassee where there are NO Apple stores. We made an appointment for 4:15 today at the location in Sarasota, drove an hour, and met Bill and Mel, who were such a great help. We had to get back on the road and we were nervous to leave town without a working phone. They worked something out for us, and were able to fix the display on the phone and had it ready by the time the mall closed. Absolute above and beyond customer service, and I hope Bill and Mel know how much they helped and that we appreciate it! Would give this store a million stars if I could.
You have to get an appointment and then wait in line. You’re not allowed to check in early at all. So if your appointment time is 1PM, you can’t get into line until 1PM on the dot. Then you get to wait in line to be allowed into the store. So depending on the line you may be waiting even after your “reservation” time. If you can shop online i highly recommend it over visiting in person.
First, if you don’t have an appointment, don’t bother. Second, when you arrive, you’ll see a sign that advertises “walk ups” and says that walks up are “no problem”. This insinuates that customers can standby for availability—no. It just means they’ll schedule you for an appointment. Even if no one is looking at the items you want to look at or if the store is relatively unoccupied by customers, they won’t allow you to shop without an appointment. The customer service rep I encountered agreed that the signage is misleading and inconsistent, but also offered nothing as a compromise. The encounter ended when she suggested I go to BestBuy if I wanted to view the items prior to purchase.Note: if you intend to seek a military or veteran discount, this store does not honor it. They require you to shop online in order to receive that benefit.
Couldnt find person to check-in with when we walked into store figured they would be at from of store). Went to back for appointment. Told us who to check-in with and then were seated. Tech helped us with our faulty laptop. Super knowledgeable and quick service.

Made my appointment. Purchased a computer. Then found myself having to explain why I dont buy extended warrantys. Sales rep asked if I have a business. I stated yes. Asked me to talk with the apple business salesperson. Thats a hard NO. I was interested in checking out a few other store items but was informed I must be escorted throughout the store. The sales guy is doing his job I get it. But they lost out on additional store purchases. Enough! I want to be able to freely shop without having to rationalize to an Apple employee why I may or may not need a specific item. Never going back into an Apple brick and motor store again.
Don’t know what the point is of having a pickup option at this store when I cant even pick up my phone because I’m not the owner of my Verizon account. I showed them my order receipt on my Apple ID that matches my drivers license and they still couldn’t give me my phone that I already paid for. After talking to three different people they finally suggested that I cancel my order and re-order it and have it shipped to my house. I drove an hour and a half and expected to walk away with my purchase but now I have to re do my entire order.

Dear Apple,In addition to the awful new design of the iPhone 12 (and mini) with a swipe up to open, swipe down in the upper corner for control panel, unable to see moon sign or other symbols from main screen, my phone glitchy, AND most importantly I lost all my passwords and locked notes (finger print to facial rec), my phone also opens when I don’t want it to, or closes and to top it off- I just got a “phone must cool down before use” while it was on a patio, in the shade. I get that the Apple store is probably very busy... when are they not? But what exactly is the point of making a scheduled reservation if they are not going to be ready for it?2:45 Genius Bar appointment, arrived about 2:35 and had to wait 5 minutes before I could even get in line... yes there was a line of people waiting for their appointment.Finally got in line, was the 7th person back... after 30 minutes of NOTHING happening in my line, I left.I say nothing happened in my line, because it did not move at all. However, the pickup line (to pickup online orders) moved at a brisk pace. And what appeared to the the walk-up line also seemed to move pretty well as I saw at least 2 people who came up to the walk-up stand were allowed in the store in short order.And all of this while at least 3 and sometimes as many as 5 Apple employees stood around to check people in for their appointment.As much as I love Apple products, this is just not acceptable.
My husband had just recently bought me a laptop and since I wasn’t sure if some of the things that were going on with the laptop or normal or not I contacted Apple support and they immediately made an appointment for me to meet with one of their techs at this location. From start to finish they were awesome as far as scheduling you or checking you in to speak with someone. They also are checking everyone’s temperature as a safety precaution. Prior to going into meet with the person I was scheduled with there was another individual asking us questions and taking notes to try to help the situation even further. They were able to figure out that I had just chosen the wrong setting so it was like including all of my files and that’s what was slowing down my computer. As well as they were able to reassure us that some of the features were normal and not just a glitch with the computer. As I i’m not a custom to having my computer just automatically turn on when I open it up. The store was super clean everyone was very friendly. And we were in an out within probably 30 minutes. We had no idea what to expect because we’ve never had to go into a store. And we know that when we call on customer service phone number usually takes at least an hour to try to take care of a situation if not more. So we were anticipating being there for several hours. But we were not and it was perfect we were in an out and it made life so much more simpler.
When we got there we had an appointment at 12 but still had to wait 30 minutes in the appointment line. Then when we went to pick it up and had to wait and extra 30 more minutes to pick it up and people kept going in and outwith the same device. We wanted a simple battery exchange and clean the ports. The battery was fine but didnt clean it. Save your money and TIME and go elsewhere.
The visit started well. We left and came back and our salesman was like in another world. She left and said she would be right back and never came back. A younger person came to help us finish the purchase the phone. He had a very cavalier attitude, gave us different information that later at Verizon we found out was wrong. We bought an I phone from from Verizon. Apple Store gets a F rating. This is my second experience I will never go back.
The associate was very friendly and helpful. Store is clean and well set up.. The new check in process is a little excessive but part of the new normal. Will be happy to go back if I have an issue with my apple product.

Just been in the store with my kids and two security jump on us to wear mask. The only store in the entire mall asking that. They required mask but everyone touch all display phones . So stupid. No common sense to me. The must have a MBA for stupity
Super disappointed in the quality of the new IPad Pro, failed and needed to be sent back (7-14 days) had it less than a week. The ‘so-called’ Genius was just not helpful at all and the manager just didn’t care. Is it Covid fatigue or has apple rushed a product to market that is not ready? But overall I was so disappointed in a company, people and product that I used to believe in…goodbye Apple

I don’t like to feel like I’m in a war ravished towns line for rations of ham bone soup when I’m shopping for the most high tech and expensive personal electronics. I can’t even check out the new phones without a questionnaire. My personal information. Temperature check. Rights to my firstborn. And my time I’m allowed to enter while following their strict customs and guidelines somehow exceeds when Trump visited North Korea.

We made an appointment the night before to look at a few products that we intended to buy depending on how we liked them.Went up to the person organizing the line and she informed me that we were 15 min early and had to wait to be checked in at the exact appointment time. It’s weird since now we were technically waiting in a line outside another line. But that’s fine. No worries, we’ll wait. Our party included 3 adults, which was very obvious when we walked up 15 min early. When our appointment came around, the lady informed us that only 2 of us could go in. This was completely uncalled for and should have been relayed before we waited 20 min (5 min after our appointment because other people were getting in line to make appointments, thus we had to wait in the line again to make it to the other line) We came together and no where does it say online that only 2 people can come in. I understand if this is a per store capacity requirement. However, that is something that can be outlined via a sign OR the lady that was standing in the front that is not doing much as it is. She stood there very stand-off-ish with the non-verbal communication (which was noticed by the other 2pm appointments standing next to me as well without me saying a word) I understand Apple cares about being safe and healthy, but for a company that has such a large customer base, customer satisfaction should be a top prioriy as well. Covid isnt a reason to be rude and treat the people this way. The way that myself and other customers were treated made me rethink even buying an Apple product. I write this review for the multiple people that were waiting, feeling the best exact same way. And after reading the multiple reviews before mine, it seems like Apple has some quality control to do on their stores and have a united front in customer service because this store obviously has some issues.

Yesterday I drove several miles and had an appointment. My purpose was to upgrade my phone. It was apparent from the first encounter with the young man he didn’t care at all. My time with him may have lasted 4 minutes. He had no interest in trying to help. He said I had to come back. I don’t think so!Apple has always been very customer friendly. Not sure what has happened.

Called to get an apt after they told us we had to come in store. Then we were told they couldnt do it. Over 1 hour drive for nothing! People need training so you dont get upset customers. Make sure to confirm they can truly fix your problem before heading up!!

I generally choose this store as my go-to for all Apple purchases, and have for the greater part of my time with Apple. However after my experience today, it’s very likely I’ll make the drive to Tampa or Orlando than to ever return. The lack of communication, compassion or professionalism is simply appalling, and as someone who works in customer service I’m insulted. It’s evident there’s quite a few learning curves to be addressed with the implementation of COVID policies, but to continuously tell a customer they’re wrong and refuse to explain it to them or discuss it with them is extremely inappropriate. I’m grateful to have other authorized Apple locations nearby that will be happy to have my business, because I can assure you I will not be returning. To the few associates that have always made the experience wonderful, thank you, however the ones I encountered today, I’m disgusted.

I financed a phone and couldn’t pick up my own phone. The account holder has to pick it up. Kinda odd since I’m the one financing. The Apple staff was rude and I will never visit this store again. Not to mention Apple Credit is a joke. Even know I didn’t pickup my phone I still have a bill due for nothing that was picked up and order was canceled. Buyer beware and warned.
This is the best Apple store. All employees are friendly and professional. I Wanted to buy an iPhone 12 pro max and Miss Melody helped decide which model to buy and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this store for your apple products.
My my mother who is 82, very healthy and independent, went for help at the Genius Bar at the Sarasota store. (It takes days if not longer to get an appointment). She is hard of hearing, can hear fairly well with hearing aids. From the description she gave, the person who was supposed to be “helpful” was very rude and impatient related to her need for the person to speak slowly and be empathetic to someone with hearing loss. The manager was not helpful at all and as rude as well.What does it take these days for people to treat one another kindly, patiently; and for a business to provide some level of hospitality and sincere desire to help a customer?Shame on you Apple. Shame on you Apple Sarasota. Shame on you for not helping my mother with dignity and respect.

The check in process was super fast and simple with having made an appointment online. We arrived a couple minutes early and we’re in right on time. Brian was super thorough, friendly and took time to explain all the things that were affecting my mother-in-laws battery life.
What a nightmare don’t bother I would recommend any other Apple Store to this. Always understaffed and they can never seem to actually help and if you actually wanna shop that’s a no go during Covid so your best bet is to go to Best Buy if you actually want to see products before you purchase them.

Do not place order on phone or online. They will tell you that they do not do payment at store. And that your phone will be ready at a certain time. When you show up your order is not ready and they tell you that you need to wait for the email to say its ready. When you ask for an approximate time. The store and corparate will till you that they do not know. Could be a day a week or month. Totally ridiculouse. Would have just paid at the store and not made senseless trips.
We brought my laptop in for repair since it wasn’t starting up/turning on. They replaced the battery and had it shipped back within 1-2 days. Thanks for the great service!

The apple hall monitors (especially one of them) were not pleasant - they are supposedly having us social distance while they get in your face to look at your phone order and direct you like little kids. Went twice with the same experience. This seems to be the reverse of whaat apple intended for safety.

So last Thursday, December 3rd I needed a new Apple Pencil for my iPad and I was traveling through the Sarasota Fl area so I thought I would stop and get a new one at the university mall. I Got there I had to stand in the middle of the mall, God for bid they let me in even though The door to go into the store. I told him what I wanted and I needed it to work for both of my iPads as I have two different models. They were very quick and short and snide to share with me that the I pencil I wanted would only fit one of the iPads and not both. (As if I was suppose to know that). And as I understand somethings Will work with one and maybe not both however it was the way I was treated and the lack of communication I was basically just told, ......no that won’t work which one do do you want your pencil for so I told them. 15 minutes later still not allowing me to go into the store, they bring me out an apple pencil, charge me and then just walk away leaving me standing there not knowing if there was anything left to do and finally five minutes later they said what’s your email will send you a receipt! The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced and I have over 37 years in retail. They may want to take some of those billion dollars that they’re so proud to flash across the stock market and teach their new age crew some manners. That was and will be my last Apple purchase! I am sure that no one will reach out because I am just one customer, and since they have so many, they wont care as to how I was treated. Good bye Apple!

I was just at this store with my 95 year old neighbor who had tried to active her new iPhone and locked it up. Nina was so helpful with getting the phone unlocked, transferring contact info, and disabling the old phone. All while keeping us safe by abiding by social distancing. Great service!

Had a 2;15 appointment. Had to stand in the walk in line of 20 people. Then have a health check by in another line. Then stand online again I am so glad I rarely have to come here. If anyone ever asked I would say - stay far away. Oh also they don’t like gator masks but it seems it’s ok to wear your mask below your nose. 🧐
I went there yesterday there are the policeman why they had three or four policemen there at the shop they said to keep too many people because of the covid-19 I saw shopping bags full of orders that were to be picked up cannot understand why people even use iPhone I gave mine away I like the Androids better and there is no comparison and price
Yesterday, my power adapter stopped working. I called the Apple University Town Center retail store to purchase a new one. That part was quite simple and pleasant. I called, paid over the phone and confirmed that it could be picked up right away. I called my grandmother who was near the store and asked her if she could pick it up for me. She walked in, gave them my name and the pick up number. That should have been it. She had her ID, my name, the pick up number the Apple representative gave me and my email address...but it wasnt enough. I had to speak to 3 people before here name was added, before she was able to walk out the store with the power adapter that I had already purchased. Apple needs to add this question to their script, Will you be picking up this item? or inform customers that if the purchaser is not picking it up theyll need a name. It was so bizarre. My grandmother was in the store and the Apple team member that I was talking to could have been standing next to her but was unable to add her name or do anything (?). The 3rd representative/associate said, okay and now may I place you on hold? I need to call this Apple retail store to give them her first and last name. WHAT?? The 3rd representative asked for a phone number, email and the pick up number only to place me on hold to call the store my grandmother was in to give a team member her name. I had just done that. Icing on the cake. She had been waiting for approximately 45 minutes and (lets call him Becky) a team member inside the store had a horrible disposition and was difficult. I know that $9.50 is not a millionaire s wage but Becky knew that before accepting the position.

Wait a long time for someone to come help and also You cant just go into the store and buy, you have to make an appointment, but even with an appointment you still have to wait a long time, I think I disrespect customers, I like my phone, but it makes me think in switching to another brand.

I yesterday had a Genius Bar appointment with Apple. So apparently they decided to close early and failed to at least give those people that had a Genius Bar appointment a courtesy call. I drove 77miles just to get there to walk in and find out the store was closed. I had driven 77miles for no reason at all. I have been waiting for 2months For a Apple location closer to me to become available for In store repair appointments. You would think a multi billion dollar company would have their stuff together and at least given me a courtesy call.. I received nothing. I googled to see if the store was open and it said the store was in fact open. But when I was there walked in and stood in front of the store it was closed. This is false advertising. I am so dissatisfied, disappointed and upset.
Security was harassing everyone upon entering
My iPhone 11 Pro Max is having issues, speakers are blown, it overheats when charging and no matter what service (WiFi/cellular) it’s extremely slow. So I opened a case online to try to resolve it, the Apple employee did not do his job as he never got back to me, so I made an appointment 2 hours away to try to resolve it. The blonde “manager” tells me that my phone is 18 days out of warranty, Even though I had opened a case while still in warranty. So because one of their employees didn’t do his job right my phone is now out of warranty and they can’t do anything for me. Worst experience I’ve ever had at an Apple Store, manager was not helpful at all. I do not recommend this Apple store.
So I had been without my phone for 24hours, went to the apple store here and the we’re preparing to close due to recent riots, etc. I was originally going to turned away, because of this case, I was in tears. I am a nurse practitioner and work in a hospital, and I use my phone throughout day receiving pages and messages, being without my phone can be life of death. A wonderful female manager made sure that I got in and was taken care, and a very nice, polite, and competent young man, Conner, took care of replacing my phone ultimately. I am forever grateful for your help in these trying times!!!

Two years ago I purchased my MacBookPro at this location and had a wonderful experience with Brandon. Since my purchase I have had no problems with my computer.Yesterday I returned to the store and was assigned to Pedro. I explained I was interested in a new phone and changing service carriers.He asked a lot questions and made several recommendations. He assisted me in switching carriers with no hassle and completely set up the new phone. He was very patient and went beyond the call of duty to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. The store was busy with many Apple customers making purchases. I would highly recommend this store to anyone.

Visited several times for various purchases over past three years. Always a good experience no matter how small the item. I love the fact that we have this store here. Looking forward to attending some of their classes.
