Have been going here for years and service was always pleasant but over the past few months from managers on down they have an attitude and really make me feel like I am intruding on them if I ask a question or need assistance. I can go back to other hardware store options and get that same level of attitude.Ace was always the local friendly hardware store but this location seems to have forgotten their role. Sad because we always strive to support the local small business but if they have attitudes like this forget it.It took several trips to get the correct part i needed and everything they had given it to me saying it was the correct one. Yet when I would have to return I was made to feel like I had an issue they they couldnt care less about.

Helpful employees, and had everything I needed. Easy experience, and felt safe as far as social distancing measures.

You never have to search for someone to help. You walk through the door, youre asked what you need, and someone is summoned who knows how to help you and then, actually does! Ive never left without what I needed, and whatever it was, it actually worked and lasted. And I didnt feel I had paid a premium for the ease of it all.

Knowledgeable associates to ask questions and get some help. I like the ability to buy the exact quantity of nuts, bolts, and washers instead of the prepackaged blister packages. As Ace Hardware advertising says, they have the helpful hardware man!

Why on Earth do they offer discounts that come in the mail which you can never use. Let us be as rarely have opertunity to ever use those 10% off deals on products I do buy. At least let us opt out from junk mail

Ace hardware is always a convienent place to go for the little things that are needed. I found my favorite go to place at DG Ace hardware because of the attitude everyone has there. Everytime I enter the store Im greeted with a smile and an offering to help me locate what I need. It makes me feel.... Special.😊 A valued customer. DG will continue to be my go to place.

This is the way hardware stores started out to be years ago. A little bit of everything and A LOT of Customer Service. My Ace on Clark Road I have been going to it for almost 20 years - they know my name, my family and have watched my children grow- along with every new color of paint on their walls and the patch kits theyve taught me how to use on their walls. More than just making keys and mixing paint, all the Ace Hardwares in the neighborhood are like a close by friend support system when you have no idea how to fix something but you are sure glad they know what they are talking about! And they do it with a smile...Thats worth the price of admission!

I live off University and travel all this way when I need to go to Ace Hardware. These people are Beyond kind, funny, welcoming, and extremely helpful! If you need keys made find your way to Robin. Shes the key Ninja And her outstanding personality will make your day a thousand times better. For all your chainsaw or equipment needs get a hold of Bob! This guy is pretty Epic when it comes to not knowing what youre talking about and just showing him a picture and he handled everything I needed. I dont know what management does so differently here, but this Ace Hardware is better than any other one in the state!

Whoever has stocked the plumbing section in this store for the last 10 years deserves a reward for consistency they lack even the most basic fittings might as well go to best buy or publix this place is so frustrating. As much as they charge 4x more than home depot or lowes they should be able to afford a plumbing amusement park but no cant even find a 2 pvc 90 and only had 1/2 of a ptrap how is that even possible.

I had some glass cut here yesterday and when I got home, I discovered that it was not cut accurately. The manager, Bob, was very gracious and quickly recut the glass for us free of charge. This store gets five stars from me for excellent customer service. Every employee that helped us went above and beyond.

Clueless to any concept of customer service. This store is so painful to even enter because the staff really dont understand their products as they should because their prices are so much higher than Lowes or Home Depot. Their register software is primitive and cumbersome that using their coupons requires double the time at the register. I dread going in and cant wAit to leave usually empty handed. How this place stays in business is beyond me.

We always went to the local ACE Hardware store back in CT so when we moved to Sarasota, we naturally looked them up. Met Wes on my first visit and hes my go to guy for my DIY repairs and projects.Wes convinced me to buy a Kamado Joe vs. a Big Green Egg and I havent looked back since. Hes even given me different types of lump charcoal to try out. He definitely lives up to the ACE reputation!

I am very disappointed that ACE Hardware in Sarasota does not recycle power tool rechargeable batteries. They bought Craftsman tools from Sears and should at least recycle NiCD batteries. Shame. Recommend going to batteries plus for all your battery needs-they are socially responsible.

Customer service unsatisfactory. My husband needed help to find size nails; recd no help or wasnt ask if he needed help. Poor service. Not friendly. What happened? Staff seemed to have changed for the worst.

Its an ACE hardware but a great one. They have almost everything. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. They sell big green eggs and all accessories. I was not impressed with the ACE wasp spray. Too thick and doesnt spray 10 feet. Of the ACE hardwares in the area, this is my favorite. And they delivered my green egg!

All the perks all the clerks in the store no where everything is and they are waiting to help first person they see in a Isle. Its really nice walk in a store and if you cant find anything theyre willing to help but they do not have Hound a and pest a customer to buy something Im very friendly everybody that works in the store has a smile on their face

Ive spent thousands in this store over the last 15 years, but NO MORE!! Just went to return over $50 worth of extra stuff leftover from a 3 month long project, and guess what? No return for the CASH I paid, and I said store credit is fine, but the girl said no returns after 30 days. That concludes my shopping at this ACE, or any ACE with that policy. Frkm now kn, its Amazon, Home Depot or Lowes. No wonder those stores are thriving, and they offer better prices and selections too. This makes me sad, especially since I try to support local stores with cash purchases. Looks like Ill be donating this stuff to Habitat for Humanity.

Was there 5 minutes before closing and female blonde employee saw me pull in right at door, looked me in the eye, and flipped sign to closed. As a result in boycotting Ace Hardware at this location. BTW, I also informed my 300 employees the same.

I waited repeatedly requesting help and when it I finally got theattention of one of the reluctant staff, they showed ne the wrong item. going to a local store like this should provide more caring staff and the expertise that you do not receive at one of the larger department stores, however, in the case of the store it provides a much higher prices with none of those benefits
