They take excellent care of the property, its secure, peaceful and full of great reasons to stop during a busy day and let the captivating scenery remind you that quiet moments still exist. Its awesome. Folks smile and wave, the lakes are alive with beautiful swans, ducks and amazing examples of very well protected wildlife. And its a great place to watch pastel sunsets and blazing sunrises.
My wife and I have a lovely bungalow in Camelot Lakes Village. We have owned it for nearly 4 years. The community is a wonderful establishment that offers as many opportunities as one chooses to participate. The location is ideal and close to businesses and easy access to I-75.We have met many wonderful neighbors and seasonal residents. Of the many retirement parks we have looked at, we still feel Camelot Lakes Village trumps all of them. Couldnt be more pleased.Tony and Sue Smith
We bought in Camelot Lakes Village in Sarasota 2 years ago. We were thrilled. We’re not anymore. The office staff is behind locked Club House doors due to some “threat” that the community is not made aware of, therefore blocking entrance to utilize it. The benefits have taken a real downturn in the last several months. Facilities are now 3rd rate at best. Many don’t exist anymore. Maintenance is sketchy at best and pretty much depends on WHO you are, not what’s needed. There are virtually no community activities unless they are the routine pickle ball, etc., that takes no planning efforts at all. The “gated security” has gone by the wayside in spite of the fact that there is someone living here wanted by the police and the courts. It’s in shambles. And yet our lot rent keeps going up up up.
I have lived in Camelot Lakes Village for 5 years and visited family living here for several years prior. I love it here. It isn’t without its faults. But as a Home owner I try to be part of the solution rather than the problem. I participate in activities/ assist with them. Presently president on the HOA board of directors. I feel management strives to do their best with the resources they have. I do feel since we are larger than Camelot Lakes East. We should have one more staff at least for assisting with facility maintenance/mainly cleaning of pools/x2. Two buildings/actually 3 as workout room is separate. I will be bringing this up to manager at our next Village manager meeting this month. She takes time out of her schedule to meet with myself and another director once a month. Management also comes out once a month to assist the Community Beautification committee/made up of willing neighbors-that go out and help clean up a yard of a resident who isn’t capable physically. We work side by side.As I mentioned. No place is perfect. We have some things to work on and little by little change happens. This is a beautiful village even with its challenges. The people are great. We have fun activities that have started up as of last October. (As everywhere-things were closed for a time due to pandemic) our Village has had many new residents move in. They are excited about living here and being part of helping our community grow. It’s so much fun to go to “parkway party” with a DJ playing great music. Wonderful food truck serving up Yummy food and getting out connecting with neighbors. My husband and I plan on living here for the long haul. He loves Pickleball and plays almost everyday!!!This is truly a wonderful place to live. I can’t wait for the midnight swim this month on the Full moon night. Management let’s us use the pool till midnight. So much fun!! 😎🦩
Do Linda and Denise really want to sell homes??? First of all, I called Linda 2x to let her know my friend who was in Sarasota was coming in 2 days to look at several homes and she never called me back??? Then after talking to Denise and confirming an appt., she never shows and my friend had to call her?? Waited 20 mins. for her to arrive!!! These people are so unprofessional!!! Thank you for showing me your true colors!! So happy I found a home and no lot rent of almost $1,200 a month! DO NOT BUY! Complete rip-off!
The neighborhood carport sale was great its a nice place to live
Beautiful mobile home park
$1073/mo (approximately 4x the average mortgage payment on most of the units) for HOA dues?? Wow. One can understand why so many units are listed on Zillow right now.
Camelot Lakes is such a nice community. The people are very nice, beginning at the entrance gate and into the office. I enjoy myself any time that I get to visit.
Sales office: Excellent service. Friendly. Beautiful community. Friendly residents.
This is a very nice gated community with some lovely tree-lined roads and a couple of very nice swimming pools. The houses are spaced out nicely.
This is a mixed review. Was planning to purchase a home in the community. However, the lot rent was the deal killer (almost $1,000/mo!). The amenities are similar to other communities that have a much lower HOA fee. This was a huge, huge disappointment. I can understand why there are so many homes here for sale so cheaply, and, on the market for such a long period of time. I have found, (in most cases), the lower the home price, the higher the monthly fee.I wish all the sellers quick sales.
My grandmother lives here and so far she has no complaints about the neighbors, the housing, or the activited offered. Camelot Lakes offers a pool and hot tub, each considering the physical limitations one may have, such as extra bars for support and modifed stairs. The houses themselves, while small, are enough for 1 or 2 people living in them regularly.
Beautiful place with security and a lot of activities.
Very quiet park with large green areas, their are a lot of planned activities and the amenities are quit beautiful.
55 over gated mobile home park. Good amenities: pool, library, pool room.
Lot rents feel high, grounds are well maintained.
My lot is sinkingrent is ridiculously highand money goes to the stupidest stuff. The guys lplay pool in a closet and need more tables so BADLY . You would think 4 almost $1000 a month they could play POOL!!! The $ we pay NEVER benefits us directlyNot in any meaningful way. Swimming pools r always closed for repairsthis makes the people who live here miserable and angry. the temperament is BAD. more emty and for sale houses than people who live here:/
Great adult place to live, Close to everything
Living here is a happy life
This is one of the best Parks in the area. Lots of amenities and very friendly people
Miss this place so much
Great, quiet neighborhood, recent upgrades, and secure entry gate.
Wedding reception, Hall should be kept cooler !
Nice place. Very clean.
Lawn is never mowed or weed whiped around the half cut tree next to my lot 476.
Nice grounds. Expensive monthly lot rents.
Lots of decrepid old farts and lot rent increases $20 a month every year. Management
Every OTHER MONTH
Nice manufactured home park

Too many rules...rent too high...too many busybodies judging the way you live...its kind Of like living in Nazi Germany
