Had to ship a defective product back to the sender. They provided me with a prepaid shipping label that needed to be printed out. The clerk at the store charged me $3.20 to print the label out. I have NEVER been charged at any shipping location to print out a shipping label. Plus, $3.20!? It was printed out on cheap paper, nothing special. I considered leaving, driving to a near by friend’s to print it out and then returning, but that would’ve added atleast 40 minutes to the whole process. Not sure if this was a UPS policy, the store’s policy, or that particular clerk, but it inspired me to write my first ever negative review. Rip off. Bad service. Not recommended.
This location is the worst at customer service. From the moment you walk in the door to leaving the workers here act like it’s super inconvenient that you came in today or that they are just miserable and intern are super unhelpful. Hi avoid this UPS location as if my life depends on it. It is miserable and I would rather go any where else.

The staff in the store is very professional. Also they are all very kind and welcoming. I go to this location often to do returns I’ve never once had a problem they’ve always been very professional very nice and I thank them for working through this pandemic. I’ve been in retail for more than 30 years, I ran a $35 million business and I have to tell your associates are absolutely fantastic!This is to the owner of this location bravo answering to the lady about wearing a mask, you did right by your associates and until we get past this pandemic everyone should wear a mask because no one has the right to give someone else a virus that could kill them!! Killing someone trumps you wearing a mask unless you are the 👿 in my opinion.
I have frequented this UPS store many times for various services.The employees are most helpful and efficient. They also are safe and care for others by wearing their mandated masks and appreciate when customers do as well. They handle this politely andProfessionally! Good job guys :)

BEWARE DO NOT USE UPS. I paid a significantly higher price for next day delivery by 10:30 am for some critical original documents. It’s 10 pm and UPS not only cannot tell me where the package is (third 30+ minute phone call plus a visit to the store) but I have been told that they have had no contact with the driver and no way to contact. They are selling a product they admit they do not have - the guaranteed delivery is no more. According to the various people I spoke to at UPS, every segment store, drivers etc are independent and NOT employees so the business model is zero responsibility.
This place is the dregs of UPS stores. Their scanner wasn’t working to log in a return. Agent was argumentative and rude. Then refused to help me and walked away from me. Most likely because he really didn’t know what he was talking about.After telling me he could scan it from my phone. Another agent came over. Then he proceeded to inform me that there would be a charge for it. This place is the worst ups store I’ve ever been to! They lost packages and the told me sorry take it up with Amazon. Also, I’ve NEVER been treated so rudely by any customer service person. EVER! Do yourself a favor and take your business up the road to the nice and helpful people at the store on 301. It’s worth the trip to be treated with respect and be taken care of like you matter.
I wish there was another way to ship packages. I had a series of three bad experiences at this location. The first I Chucked off to being bad day for the young man at the counter. So much so when I got him the second time I thought another bad day,. The third I just hoped I did not get him while I stood line...but I did. Okay no personality ..fine. I had pages printed and four of them was just a little line that came across the top that I did not need. I asked if he could not charge me. He said I will throw them away but will charge you...okay, yes he had to still have the machine print but come on...I am a regular..for good customer service he could of just said of course...I know that it would not of cost him anything. I write for five star resort so I know cant expect that kind of service but I would not even hire this guy to be a dishwasher. Its just the principal of it...

Great store! So glad they are enforcing the mask policy. As a mother of a medically fragile child, staying healthy is a priority. It’s comforting to know that there are businesses that are concerned about the safety of their employees and customers. Customer service was great also-quick, friendly and efficient.
This is my go to UPS store! It isnt even the closest to my home, but I make the trip to this location because I have always had such great service. I appreciate them adhering to the recent mask mandate that the city has in place. I definitely feel safe going inside this store!!

I would give no stars but I can’t here. Tried to ship this morning and I was told that I couldn’t come in without a mask. Mind you, NO customers were in the store! I came to the store in south Sarasota and was given excellent service. This is America people. Take the masks off!
The best UPS store in Sarasota. Efficiently run, very friendly and best of all this store caters to the customer. As I follow Covid-19 protocol, knowing what this terrible virus can do, I wear a mask and keep social distance. It is important to me that a place of business follow as well. I feel very safe in this UPS store because they do. I will remember their prioritizing my safety long after this pandemic is over.
Always a pleasure to go here whether mailing something myself or sending back a prepaid return. They take their time, are courteous and very helpful. They are conveniently located.They are operating very safely during the pandemic. I think many of these negative reviews are just in spite by people who do not want to follow this stores safety rules which is quite unfair and paints a very incorrect picture of the quality of their business.
I have been using this store for many years! Always friendly and they provide excellent and efficient service! I was thrilled to see how they enforce the mask ordinance since the onset of COVID. You definitely feel safe there and you can get in an out of the store quickly.

Went here to ship a package and did not have a mask. The manager ( I assume a manager because he was standing around) asked me very forcefully if I had a mask. I did not but usually businesses will ask if you need one. He then told me to leave the store. I asked if I could just leave the package since it was ready to go and paid for. He again told me “you need to leave the store now!!!” I was shocked and said “okay, and I will never be back!”Wow, I have relativesthat work for UPS and they are all about customer service but I think the UPS stores are franchises and this one will never see me again. I will also report this to UPS. Wow, what a jerk!!!
Fabulous experience! I use this location all the time and have had nothing but great service! The staff are polite and helpful and the owner goes out of his way to make sure you are well taken care of.

I entered the store to return a damaged order to Amazon. Immediately I was told to leave because I did not have a mask. I explained that I have copd and anything over my mouth causes me breathing difficulties. It did not matter the little soy boy was getting off on a power kick. I left and almost got to my truck when I decided to go back and pull my tshirt over my nose to get the package checked in and quickly leave. Again, told to leave that my shirt was not a sufficient face covering. Proceeded to tell me to get a face shield, and that there were drop boxes all over town. I spoke with customer service and am waiting on a reply. Pretty sad when a medical condition gets your service denied. This is the only place in Sarasota that has denied me service even though I am exempt from the ordinance the city implemented.The young boy working the desk, should be more concerned with the repercussions of his attitude affecting his well being then contracting covid 19.

I just had an argument with a green haired 18-year-old about sending a used rental book back to amazon in a paper envelope as opposed to a bubble envelope. I was told the book would be destroyed in a paper one. I’ve gotten an entire bachelors degree online over the past year or so renting books this way and sending them back. I’ve never even had to buy an envelope I just drop it off. She could not have had a worse attitude. Bad enough I’m worried she might rough the package up just to prove a point. Employment is down. Maybe UPS should hire someone who actually wants a job.

The employees were rude and disrespectful.I now drive out of my way to find other UPS stores to do shipments for work.Some say I should give them another chance, but when a service business treats you that way once, no need to put yourself up for that kind of treatment again.Check out the other negative reviews, they all mention rude and unprofessional service as well. UGH! RUDEST AGENTS I’ve ever encountered in ANY UPS store and quite frankly in any store period. They are lazy and will do anything including shaming, blaming and dismissing customers, rather than being kind and helpful. Really the worst experience I’ve ever had with UPS.They say the fish rots from the head. After reading the rude, condescending and downright mean spirited responses from the owner here to other reviewers, that saying pans out. The owner sets the tone and level of quality of service that the people who work there provide. Unapologetically mean, rude and lazy. Whoop there it is.I will NEVER step foot in that place again and I am certain I am not alone.

Rude and condescending the second I walked in. Only needed to drop off packages with labels affixed. I have never felt so cornered and threatened by numerous employees.
July 13th 2020, employees at the branch would not let me in to drop off a prepaid package because I did not have a facemask, yet there UPS drivers can open my door and come onto my screened-in front porch without a mask... Makes sense.

Worst UPS experience ever. Employee working 12/29/18 @11am is destroying this locations reputation. In short, I had a 16 pound toy car for my daughter that I wanted shipped home to CT. Asked employee for the least expensive option. He quoted over $110 dollars to pack and ship?Ended up going to office max, packed shipped, via FedEx Ground with materials $30.The UPS employee would rather quote obnoxious prices than do his job. I dont know what phony assumptions he used when calculating the price, but it seemed as if he did this to avoid packing and shipping the item as requestedAs a company, I love UPS and use them regularly .However, this franchise location should be revoked They give a great company with hardworking employees a bad reputation.

As a customer who drove too fast trying to get to your store before closing time, I would respectfully suggest that if you are going to turn off the lights and close the registers at 5:45, then your website should not advertise closing time as 6:00.
