Food was excellent!! We love our smoked meats and always on the hunt for delicious ones. This place was amazing. Owner, Bruce, was also super kind and social. We really enjoyed hearing about his journey as a small business owner. These are the people we like to support. Also, his homemade ice cream was to die for!

We ordered two full rack of ribs, they were absolutely delicious!!! We had a choice of sauces but ribs didn’t need it. So much flavour just on their own. Highly recommend this place. Top bbq places….hands down!!

Couldn’t take a picture fast enough because I was too excited to eat! Smoked brisket was awesome and the Mac and cheese was fantastic! The owner is super friendly and I can’t wait to come back!!

We used the catering service for our Halloween party. The food was absolutely delicious! We had pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese and the best cornbread I have ever had. Our guests were raving about it.

Simple yet fulfilling menu of barbecue, hot dogs and ice cream.Very clean in and out, meticulously clean bathroom.Try the delicious brisket; a tasty generous portion with your choice of sauce. The shakes are super thick, don’t bother opening the straw, use a spoon !

The owner was very friendly and the food was amazing! Its really a lovely spot that was more peaceful than youd expect for being right on route 29. I will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Came up on a trip from CT and this looked like a cool little place so we decided to stop in on our last day and boy Im glad we did. The owner is incredibly friendly, loves what he does and it shows in his food. He makes everything himself. We just got ice cream which was delicious, but he let us try a piece of his brisket and man Id make the 2 hour trip just for that. Highly recommend.

Opened in the recent years. Owner works here and makes everything (including sauces, ice creams, savories) from scratch, and ingredients are locally sourced when possible. Pulled chicken, mac n cheese, blueberry nilla wafer ice cream were gold. Will be back to try roughly everything on the menu.

Love visiting here yesterday and speaking with Bruce, the owner and visionary behind this joint. We got the Bride of Frankenstein ice cream which I thought was perfectly sweet and tasty. What really shined was Bruce’s enthusiasm for his business and for customer service. We didn’t have time for the BBQ but we’ll be getting back ASAP to give that a try. Hoping to become regulars at Kaleidoscope!!!

I honestly cant say enough good things about this place. I am originally from Tennessee, and this place is home in a road-side stop for me. We got the Smoky Q and the Honey BBQ, Mac n cheese, baked beans, and potato salad. All were equally fantastic! I told my wife I could make a meal out of just the baked beans! The best food Ive had in NY in my 10 months of being here. Highly recommend 10/10 - will definitely go again!

This was our 1st time here ( we heard so much about this place) the food was amazing! The ice cream is all homemade, you swear you just died and went to heaven.

We had such an amazing lunch after a weekend of camping. The bbq was stellar and Bruce the owner was so kind and so friendly. I highly recommend coming here. I got the pulled pork sandwhich and my boyfriend got the brisket. It was exactly what we needed. Dont forget to try the smoked chicken too! If I wasnt so full I wouldve ordered that and an ice cream to go! Too bad we live almost 3 hours away. Will definitely go back there when we are up in the area again

Had to have a guy change his gloves as he was touching credit cards and making food without changing them. Found a hair in my food and the hot dog was disgusting! Will never return.

Stopped by for some ice cream and tried blueberry nilla and Frankenstein. Both were really delicious with natural, well developed additions that greatly enhanced ice cream flavors. Owner was very pleasant and accommodating, just a fun, delicious place to visit.

Loved the place absolutely spectacular ice cream. My wife and I actually tried five different flavors each. The owner Bruce was engaging and it was great to see someone excited and passionate about what they do. Absolutely worth stopping by. Can’t wait to try the ribs.

Very friendly staff. Bruce (owner) knows his ice cream. Very good Ribs and side dishes. I also recommend the Route 29 hot dog. A pleasant place to relax and enjoy some food and definitely the ice cream.

This was a great spot to stop at after a day out on the water. The flavors were all delicious (Mint Chip ice, rich chocolate etc). Big portions for kids and adults alike. Sweet little picnic tables (safely social distanced apart) made for a lovely afternoon.

Interesting place. Ice cream and BBQ. Incredible bbq sauces all home made. A bit tough to find on busy road but must try ice cream and ribs here. Pulled pork amazing. The cole slaw is killer. The owner is so nice. Will be back.

Best ice cream, worth the trip from Clifton Park. So many different ice cream flavors, can’t wait to revisit to try more. Hoagie look great to, I’ll try them next visit. If you like ice cream this is a must try.

Amazing ice cream, may be the best milkshake Ive ever had. Quality ingredients, very interesting flavors (but not kitschy). Interesting proprietor also, who understand customer service and marketing. Just go for the ice cream at least!
