The Army barracks is a good store if you are looking for specific things, like an ammo can or tactical backpack. The prices are ok, some things are expensive and then youll find some cheap prices too. Everything for the most part is clean, neat and organized. They do offer a 10 percent discount for military and police. They also do have a cool tank with great history to it sitting outside in the parking lot.

Great people great atmosphere and they know what they are talking about and how to help customers with anything they need and an overall great place and experience

I love this store. I am a repeat costumer like 20× over. The staff is knowledgeable and very nice. Wide variety of knives. A lot of air soft guns and equipment. Those are the things I go there for but the store is absolutely jam-packed with military material, clothing, hats, boots, gas masks, everything any all onw need it they got it clothing is so great. I’m not one to review often, but I felt as though this place deserves even more than 5 stars. This army store is absolutely unparalleled in the quality, uniqueness, and price of goods. This place is particularly great if you’re looking for authentic historical uniforms and jackets. The knives are also very reasonably priced. I’ve never once gone in without taking home something special. Great customer service.

Really good prices. Big selection of boots, shoes, jackets, hats, shirts, airsoft guns and equipment, swords, knives, pins - basically everything youd expect at a surplus store. Staff is friendly and helpful if needed. Parking lot always a plus. Good quality and a great place to go with an open mind because you always find something you never knew you wanted or needed.

I recently acquired a large surplus lot of bayonets as part of an estate. I called and spoke to a woman in the office at the Saugus store who had indicated they do purchase and I could send photos and they would be evaluated to determine if based on inventory they wanted to purchase.I informed the woman that I work nearby and could stop in with them for review in person and was informed provided someone from the warehouse was available they would look at them.Upon arrival this afternoon I was met by courteous counter staff who explained the woman in the office does the purchasing and proceeded out back.In the meantime I waited with the other staff while reviewing the variety of bayonets and knives. A short time later the original counter person came back to inform me she was told they don’t buy weapons because they could have been used in a crime.I was fully accepting an departed. It is unfortunate that the office woman did not come out and it is unsettling to say you don’t buy weapons while standing in front of a case full of them.I fully accept and understand policy and reasoning behind what was stated but do not understand why I was told 2 different things nor why the office woman who I was informed does the buying did not come out to review over 30 surplus military bayonets.I thought that was the point of the army navy store. Not to sell meaningless trinkets and Halloween costumes.This review would be based on management and not counter staff. I think the store possibly missed out on this one due to inaction.A business word of advice. You never know who is going to walk through your doors. You never know where they’ve been or what they have to offer unless you just take a minute...Cheers

First time and it was such a great experience. I was looking EVERYWHERE for pellet gun ammo. Ive never been in any gun shop, but I needed to replace the pellets that I used while trying to rid my inground pool of a duck that was not reacting to all the non-harming ways of getting him/her to leave.I was greeted at the gun/ammo counter by a beautiful woman with blonde hair if memory serves me. Id say she was in her 40s, like me. Didnt get her name but she was soooooooo helpful to a hippie-guy with long hair and who really had no idea what I needed. She made ALL my anxiety go away... and totally made this gun-hating hippie feel so gosh darn comfy!!!!

Love it here! Quite large, there is so much to see, you could walk around for an hour taking in all the cool little things they have. The staff is so friendly and helpful but they dont hover and dont mind if you just look around.

Cool.place, lots of awesome gear. Went in for construction safety vests, werent sure they were going to even have them, but they did, in masses. Different colors, different styles. Im a smaller dude, and always get stuck with 2XL sized safety gear and they even had smalls and mediums, so not only did I get what I needed, I got what I wanted too. Would highly recommend for any outdoor or survival type gear.

Amazing. Love it here. If you see something you like, buy it because it’s worth it. They sell MREs (Meals Ready To Eat) at a low and reasonable price too. I highly recommend this store. They sell guns, air soft guns, melee weapons, and clothing/backpacks + more.

Never a bad time in the army barracks

Good supply of some interesting items, some are imported, some are legit. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are within reason. I looked at some of the edged weaponry and if there are people out there that would use some of these, I dont want to know them.

Excellent place to shop for knives, airsoft and anything military related! Knife selection is hard to beat for a brick and mortar store. Was able to call and have an item put aside for me and picked it up later with no problems. Highly recommend going to this establishment for shopping or just to look at cool stuff.

It had very cool items in there and the workers were nice. If you are looking for some military boots or apparel or toys for the kids, this is the place to go.

Great Army Navy Store. Scored some sweet Swedish Military Surplus wool pants for $35!! So stoked to try them out for winter hiking. Worth a check before you go to an outing store t see of you can find some high quality cheap gear.

Pretty decent place....I picked up a legit mil camel back with a new bladder for like 20 bucks. Always cool stuff being stocked and the staff its friendly. Check out their backpack selections before buying somewhere like Eastern mountain supports or rei.... You might end up with a bargain.

They have some good stuff and prices are reasonable. Some nice jackets and tactical pants and if course BDUs. Tactical patch selection was kinda thin. Looked like a decent selection of airsoft guns if your in the market, just check it over well as all sales are final on them. One thing I wouldnt get there is boots though. Very limited selection of new, most were used and not in great shape.

Great selection, some things are priced well, others not so much. It costs $20 for used acu pants and shirts! At almost all other surplus stores they cost $10. Bought boots for $30, turns out, I didnt realize they had huge cracks in the soles and they have a no return policy for surplus. I had to buy super glue, I doubt it will last for long though.

I love army surplus stores but this one and the one in salem take the cake...

A very good army navy store. There is a lot packed into a pretty small space but it works.

This place is fun. Lots of cool army surplus stuff to explore thru. Theyve got a surprisingly large selection, everything from backpacks and clothing (mostly used military gear) to paintball and airsoft guns/equipment, to body armor, bandanas, MREs, and more! Its really fun to just explore down the aisles and see what you find. As a bonus, theres a fantastic little trail that leads out from the back of the parking lot, to the Saugus quarries. Tons of water spots for the dog to swim, and some fun trails to hike. You can also make your way to the power lines off route 1, and it appears they go for quite a ways (we usually turn around after a couple miles due to dog getting tired). Its worth checking out the store for sure, and if you have the energy or wanna get your pooch out, hit the trails and enjoy! Thats my input!
