This place is horrible. The bagels have an awful aftertaste in addition to being stale. The counter person acts like she is doing you a favor waiting on you. I gave it a 2nd and 3rd chance. Same result. Bagels taste like mothballs. Awful. Wanted to give a 1/2 star.

Several issues with a simple bacon egg and cheese bagel with Salt and pepper.1. Egg was not cooked properly.2. One piece of bacon only.3. Cheese was not melted and didn’t cover the full sandwich.4. Salt and Pepper missing.5. And to top it all off only the top half of the bagel was cut in half which leaving the bottom half uncut and I had to tear it just so I could have 2 halves.I ordered 2 of these bagels the same way 18.00 over priced & low quality ingredients.They did have a line out of the door so either we got the short end of the bagel or they are the only game in town.Bring me to my next statement if you’re a bagel company owner and you have good quality bagels I think this is a good opportunity for you to open shop in this area.

My neighbor was ridiculed and targeted by the owner of this establishment and I watched the entire video. He calls her a communist and made fun of her wearing a mask because she chooses to protect her immune compromised 7 year old daughter. If you search the Facebook Suffolk County groups it is posted on just about every one. Absolutely disgusting. Avoid this establishment at all costs. He doesn’t care about his customers or the choices they choose to make to protect their family. A classless human being who doesn’t deserve to serve the community. AVOID this Clown and his store. You might be targeted next.

If you a cash only establishment put a Large sign on the door and or on all your signage. Whether you have an ATM or not, I don’t pay ATM fees, I come prepared. I stood on line to find a tiny sign on the case register. You remove your customers choices. You didn’t take mine away, I walked out on principle.

No.masks required but they got my order wrong for the coffee. Bagel was your typical NY bagel. A little over priced. No AC inside. I dont think I would go there again.

Best bagels in a 15 mile radius

Been going there for awhile and always get a toasted bagel with butter. Now owner states “We don’t toast it takes too long”….and with an attitude. Needless to say won’t be going there anymore

Since being from Nassau county there are tons of good bagel places. Since moving to East Islip almost 3 years ago, the toughest thing to find is a good bagel. This place will suffice for now, and is good. But I am not ready to say as of yet that the search for a great bagel in Suffolk County is over as of yet....

Small bagels, but they tasted good, rude people behind the counter, waiting in line and the woman behind the counter sees me, but takes the person behind. Me?? Because she knew her. And barely can utter a thank you. 👎

Store wasnt too busy so social distancing wasnt an issue. Most workers behind counter. were wearing masks correctly. The owner, however, was engaging in mask compliance theater in which only her mouth was covered. She even took down her mask and leaned in close to an older customer so that she could hear her better (obviously doesnt know how hearing works). Given that she is putting more of an emphasis on her comfort than her customers safety, I will not be back.

Correct me if I’m wrong but still wearing a mask is still enforced and mandated correct? Why this morning when coming in did only 1 employee (girl working the counter) have a mask on and the 2 cooks wearing absolutely nothing and another girl wearing a mask dangling off of 1 ear. And then on top of it everyone in the back filling up the bagel trays with no gloves on?... not only are these people typically rude when you go in to give them business they are also obviously not sanitary.

Very very good bagels

First time I had an everything bagel, yum. Went back an noticed they do not change gloves! Same dirty hands that receive, count and hand out cash, are the ones that slice and butter my bagel. Went back 3 more times, threw 3 bagels right in the garbage. Moved on since then.

Bagels have always been good, but during a few recent visits they seem determined to not follow current safety guidelines. They jam everyone in a very small space and workers either have masks hanging down or arent wearing them at all. I wont be back for a while.

Recently went in and I was very disgusted they are taking money with the glove and using the same glove to touch the food. That is totally unacceptable.

I see a lot of folks are upset with people wearing masks incorrectly, social distancing, etc, etc, etc. Yall are a bunch of snowflakes. Lets talk about their service and food. By far, BEST bacon, egg, and cheese I have ever tasted. Fresh buns, fresh everything. Taste so good! dont let these 1 star reviews distract you from getting the best BEC in bayport/sayville.

Best bagels in the county, I might even say the whole island! Always fresh and even when theres a line it moves quick. The everything and sesame bagels are my favorite. Their homemade cream cheese spreads are delicious too!

Awesome bagel shop!

This is seriously the best bagel shop Ive ever been to. Probably the best on the island. If you like kettle boiled bagels then you should definitely go here.

As many other reviews have said, this place clearly thinks they are better than keeping us all safe by wearing masks. Three females were wearing them incorrectly, one male in the back wasn’t even wearing one, one female was wearing a transparent mask made of a lingerie material.

Owner could do a lot more to protect staff and customers. Customers squished in like sardines (que outside or to the left instead of the right), and staff handling cash and food with same hands/gloves (have a single cashier). Plus, owner walks around without a mask, sending the wrong message to everyone.

These are my favorite bagels! Love a fresh bagel here, right out of the oven. I travel from holbrook and pass several other bagel stores to get to hot bagels, its worth it!

Love the bagels n egg sandwiches at this place disappointed they are closed on Monday! a bit pricy for the size Of sandwich have to get two but tasty! One thing bothered me and I do believe it’s false advertising when the price on a can of Arizona iced tea says .99 cents from the manufacturer and they charged me about 2$ for it when I complained to the owner he told me rudely that when Arizona owns his shop they can make the prices whatever they want! I can’t imagine that being not illegal in some way advertising falsely or price gouging but it doesn’t seem right from a fair or moral perspective!

I went in th it s morning, and was followed in by a woman carrying a dog. When I pointed out that it is a health code violation to bring an animal into a food service establishment-- unless it is a service animal (which does not include comfort/companion animals)--- I was effectively ejected from the establishment by the owner.I pointed out that while I didnt have any physical reaction because i was wearing a mask, I am allergic to animals, and that as a member of the food service industry, Im fully aware of health codes regulations,but he maintained that iI was on the wrong.Since this place obviously has no regard for the health and safety of its patrons,I would reccomend avoiding it at all costs

Best egg bagel sandwich around

Taste is great. Yeasty, soft inside with crispy outside. The bagels are inconsistent in size and the everything bagels pretty much have nothing on them. Coffee is not good. Lastly notice the guys in the back making the bagels. None wearing gloves and all handling the food. I saw at least three different guys handling the same bagels.

This bagel place gets very very busy, but the staff do an amazing job at keeping the lines moving! They make delicious egg sammys! The ordering line can seem overwhelming, but its worth the wait. Its can only do make sure you have some dough! There is an ATM inside just in case you forget. Enjoy!

Well lets just put it this way.... after trying 2 days in a row to get a egg sandwich at at this place... FORGET IT.... the grill is closed over an hour before they close and then on busy Sunday morning the grill is closed so I guess they only do bagels and cant manage a bacon, egg and cheese!!!

There is no other bagel place that compares and Ive eaten at just about every one. They are fresh, the staff is fantastic, and they are always willing to accommodate special orders like mini bagels and green bagels for St. Pats. They are mouth watering and are the tastiest! The line goes fast!!! Very fast! Never wait long.

This is my go to Sunday morning bagel spot. Dont be intimidated by the line. It moves super fast. The bagels are usually really hot and they have just the right combo or crunch and chewiness. Their sandwiches, while expensive, are delicious. A warning though, stay away from the cookies in the display case. They are gross. Also, they only accept cash, so come prepared!

Best bagels in the world, hands down ask for whats hot and get some butter on it. Cant go wrong. Hot egg and plain bagels will be slightly crispy outside, then soft and mouth watering inside.

The best quality bagels in the area, the next best in my opinion being over in Patchogue. This place typically functions at a good pace and doesnt leave you waiting longer than you should. You can order a large variety of things beyond just a bagel and youre likely to see the same faces returning as you become a returning customer yourself. The bagels are delicious and theyre located in a great, not overly populated bagel spot.

The bagels here taste pretty good, but theyre the smaller side, the place is dirtyish, and a cup of tea that costs no more than 20 cents to make is a $1.95 here. They also only take cash. Its not a bad place, but nothing special.

Went on a Sunday morning around 10, bagels are small. They wouldnt make me a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel because it was busy, so I opted for a plain bagel with cc, it was stale! Will not return. I dont understand how this place has so many good reviews.

Cash only? Really? This is their business plan for success? Is this 1865? Time to also add indoor plumbing and take a tremendous economic leap into the present. If you have to worry about your online transaction fee, you are already on your way to going out of business.

I recently moved to Sayville and very happy to find a really good bagel place. Growing up my dad snuck out every morning to a nearby bagel place to suprise us all at home with a dozen fresh bagels. These bagels are deliciouse and remond me of the ones dad used to get.The layout of the store makes it a little bit congested on the weekends but the bagels are really good. The staff in this place is very friendly and there’s usually plenty of seating if you want to sit down and read the paper with a bagel and some coffee. I will totally become a regular at this place!
