My appointment with the doctor was great. When I was checking out I had come in with the intention to buy these glasses I saw online that I have been eyeing on for a month but didnt want to get till my prescription was updated. The moment I mentioned I was going to get online glasses and not buy it from their store front, it was like the lanky womans whole demeanor changed. She seemed like she was so over talking to me and made it quite obvious. I came back later that day to get pd measured they straight up was like We arent going to do it because you arent buying glasses from us. Cool thanks for not allowing me to get my own medical information. Great way to treat your patient. Will never be going back, not sorry.

Excellent office! The staff and Doctor are amazing! They have the cool machine that evaluates your eye so you don’t have to be dilated and ruin the day. Thorough evaluation. I have never had such a positive experience at an eye appointment. I’m telling everyone about them!!

After a frustrating day of finding an eye care retail center that accepted my vision coverage I called Seacoast Vision Care. I spoke with Heather McCubrey who verified that they not only accepted my vision coverage but they had an opening for an appointment that day at a time that was convenient for me. During my appointment Heather was attentive and listened to all of my needs. She was patient and polite and her customer service was excellent. Although I added probably more than I should Heather and I both agreed what was best for me. As is her job she did offer good suggestions. As I explained to her that I will be traveling soon she put the order in as a rush. Thank you Heather.As it is the day after my appointment I have not received my glasses yet. I am looking forward to working with Heather when my glasses do come in. More to come. I would highly recommend Seacoast Vision Care.

Ive been reluctant to change from my cheap reading glasses to real glasses, but after visiting Seacoast Vision Care and having a detailed exam, I am very impressed with their genuine commitment to service and the completeness of their exam. My confidence in the completeness of their work and their sincere focus on service convinced me to get real glasses and put my cheap reading glasses in the draw.

The staff is nice and I had a decent experience, the only problem is with billing. I was charged $40/50 more than what I was quoted on two separate occasions. One of those times they called me a couple days after my appointment to say they made a mistake and needed more money. It’s just a little frustrating and I’m not sure if I’ll be back.

I had such a pleasant experience during my visit here. I have never had such a through eye exam before. Dr. Corbell is GREAT at what he does, and after my first visit today I have a feeling that Ill be going back to see him every year for a long time. Ive been wearing glasses all my life, so Ive been to my fair share of optometrists and I can say Doctor Corbell is the best in my personal experience. The practice is beautiful and the staff is very customer oriented. Their optician is experienced!

Dr. Corbell is one of the finest & most thorough doctors I have seen. I was so happy to finally find a doctor who explains to me what he is doing and why. His staff was very pleasant and my glasses are just beautiful and I can see great! Best experience in a long time with an OD and his staff. Dr. Cornell is an amazing doctor! He is very sensitive to your concerns and emotions. I was not happy to have glasses but his comfort was reassuring and Im glad that he was the one to diagnose my problem. I have been his patient for years and am very happy.On the other hand... His office assistants are horrible! When I go to my appointments I know that Ill be paying a high price because I dont have insurance. These girls have a hard time telling me what I need to pay and the break down of my appointment. Ugh...

Dr. Corbell is an Excellent doctor! Never been to a doctor like this before. Hes very knowledgeable and explains everything to you that you should know. Very friendly man. I will be coming to him from now on. The staff was excellent and even offered me a cup of coffee. I wish I could give ten stars!

In for a periodic check up after almost two years. It was my fault but when I did call to schedule it was very easy to get a convenient time slot. I had my GS with me and they didnt mind his presence while I was in the exam. ... Heres the clincher. Now-a-days how often are you told you dont need to buy something ? Yep ! Was informed my vision had not changed enough to warrant a new prescription and glasses. I love honesty !

Had a new patient exam and contact lens fitting, great experience with Dr. Corbell and his office! Friendly helpful staff, almost no wait time. Dr. Corbell is skilled, knowledgeable and efficient, and also really funny, a very welcome and refreshing quality. He also knew exactly what type of contacts would be perfect for me, the fitting took less than 20 minutes. Highly recommend! I also purchased some sunglasses and they work very well and look fantastic.

Great experience for several years at Dr. Corbells office. Staff member who did my field of vision test was wonderful.She was knowledgeable about the test and was very capable. Dr. Corbell, as always, was excellent and extremely professional during my eye exam. He explained all the results in detail. Top Notch!

When I made my appointment I was told there will be a $25 charge if I cancel the appointment within 24 hours before the appointment. They sent out 2 text message to confirm my appointment.two days before. However they cancel my appointment two hours before the appointment. Not only they didn’t call my cell phone to confirm the cancellation they only call my prior work number and left a message. My question to the owner if they will reimburse me when they cancel my appointment Please understand your customer time are the same important as the doctor and emergency do happen or get sick. Please consider change your policy. Staff are incompetent. I was told the doctor got sick at 6am but they didn’t call till 12:00pm

I have been seeing Dr. Corbell for years and he is my favorite eye doctor. He found eye disease that went without being diagnosed for years saving my sight. His staff was very efficient, organized and kind. This has to be one of the most beautiful practices I have visited and customer service is front and center.

Dr. Corbell and team are wonderful to work with. Prompt attention when needed and always willing to help. My daughter struggled with contacts and they were very helpful trying to make sure they could make her feel comfortable

Unfortunately a wonderful doctor, who is so very thorough in his exam, is surrounded by incompetent billing/front desk people. Paperwork and attention to detail is sloppy, follow up by patient is always necessary to make sure orders are made correctly, billing is correct. During my annual exam the dr. said he was going to refer me to a specialist. After waiting a week for a referring eye specialist to call me to make an appt, I called this office and they said they hadnt made the referral yet, but they would call me when it was sent. Of course I never heard from them. I called the next day to ask if they did the referral and they argued it had gone out the week before. So what was it - they did, or they didnt, send the referral. Then the person answering the phone said I really dont know, I usually work in billing, I didnt check your chart to see if the referral was made. I called the specialist and they said they hadnt received it. You get the idea....

I switched to Seacoast after moving to Scarborough. I had been with the same optometrist for many years so I was a little leery about the change. Dr Corbell and his team were very kind and courteous. After I picked out my glasses, it took four visits plus a re exam (no charge) to get my glasses just right. They never gave me a hard time about the multiple visits I made. I would highly recommendable Dr. Corbell and his team for your eye care.

Very nice and helpful staff and doctor Corbell helped me find the perfect glasses a couple years ago and I still love them. They were a very affordable price, especially compared to some of the expensive places in the mall area. He was also super helpful with making some little adjustments to my contacts prescription when I first got them. I definitely recommend Seacoast Eyecare for anyone in the Scarborough/South Portland area.

I first went here 2 years ago, and all was great. Last year I didn’t need glasses, but as always, Dr. Corbell’s care was fine. This year all was good until I ordered new glasses. I had to keep calling, because they didn’t seem to be following up on my order. At times they said they did call me (no voice mail and no log on my phone of any calls for them). They did offer free sunglasses and a discount on a second pair of glasses. I really just wanted my glasses and be over with the frustration. This dragged out too long. Last time I was in, I heard a gentleman complaining of all the issues that I was going through as well, so I know it wasn’t just happening to me. Over 4 months after my initial visit, I received a surprise bill for nearly $100. I have never seen such incompetency. I feel badly for Dr. Corbell, because he is a fine doctor but losing patients because of the staff.

They gave me the wrong color of the frames. They insisted that I didnt see the color because my pupils had been dialated. I know that I didnt confuse tortishell with off white. They even said that they never had that color. But when I was picking out the frame one of the staff showed them to me and said that they had just come in.In response... I know that i havent been there since 2015. But, my experience left a bad taste. I havent lived in Maine for many years. But I did complain back then and I was told that the color I chose wasnt offered. That was a lie!

I’ve received excellent care from Dr. Corbell and his staff. I see him for both regular eye care and for vision therapy related to a brain injury. He takes the time that I need, explains things, and is helping my vision issues improve. I’m very grateful for his compassionate help.

By far the worst company and staff to deal with. Over charge you for visits and struggle to find contacts that work for you, you have to go back about six times and pay every time until you can see. Instead of explaining why, they tell you to leave and say youre the rude one and not them. Unprofessional at its finest

Wish I could give no stars this place is horrible. Its not the doctor at all... they never follow up on your appointments.when your expecting glasses and contacts you have to constantly check up on them because they just dont follow up on anything. When I call to make appointments they are rude and impatient with you.

Save your money. These knuckleheads not only have horrible customer service (they dont take responsibility for their mistakes but blame the customer) & ruined my frames when they installed the lenses and then had the audacity to blame me saying I must wear my glasses on my head and why the frames were so bent out of shape. I have NEVER worn any glasses on my head & told them that. I ended up demanding my money back (which they refunded) and taking my frames back to where I originally purchased them (across Rte. 1 next to Dunkins) and she restored them to their original shape. Save your money, time, and aggravation for an office that actually cares about their customers.

Zero star for this operation.OMG. Run. I went through eye exam, and picked out frames and lenses via my own pocket for 447.00 dollars,i was told it was cheaper to use the sale price than to use insurance coverage.Also face never measured and pupil distance never measured by staff.After receiving glasses and frames i was unable to see out of the right lense,it was blurry.I was told they would try again to fix lenses.i returned and the lenses were exactly the same,still blurry unable to read on right lens.They complained that they tried to fix the repair and they were done.no money would be returned to me,so i was stuck with a pair of glasses i couldnt see out of right eye. The staff were so rude to me.the doctor was rude, .And I was out 447.00.YES this actually happened. they lied, they cheated, they never changed a lense.Fellow Mainers do not go here or trust them.Rude, Dishonest, and are breaking the law.

The Administrators/receptionists were not very helpful and rude to me when I had questions about my bills and insurance copayments.
