I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately they get a bad review. I was told that it would take 1.5 hours to mount and balance my new tires. I informed them that I had a voucher for 2 hours of work through Localflavor.com. They had to extract the tpms from the current set of wheels but dismissed it as no big problem. After a prolonged delay and them having to keep my car overnight, they tried to charge me $379 for 3.5 hours of labor! A regular priced mount and balance is only $89! Were they really trying to convince me that unmounting an extra 4 tires takes an additional 2 hours? One service member felt the need to interject into the discussion with his rude comments. I didnt even mention to them the fact that they nicked my rims because it wouldnt have mattered. Im sure that others might find them as an honest business, but I did not! Its unfortunate that greedy service managers like the one that I had to deal with give this industry sector such a bad rap!

Scheduled a service appointment and staff was willing to work with me as I couldn’t get there til later in the day. I did have to make another appointment to have my brakes done as they didn’t have enough time. They offered a courtesy vehicle to be picked up the evening before which I accepted, outstanding service so highly recommend Capitaland Subaru!
The staff is always friendly, professional and helpful. The building is always clean and spacious. Prices are reasonable and often use available coupons. Never any pressure to add unnecessary maintenance or sales.Love my Subaru as it’s been proven to be spacious, reliable and most safe for my family .

Went in for oil change/tire rotate/ check brake issue on 2020 Ascent. Check in prompt and fast. Waiting for car. Been having a brake issue past few times in but always checked out ok. This time however not good news. After apologizing (nice of them) for the longer than normal wait for said service to be finished they told me I need new brakes. They found bad pads & really warped front rotors! But the best news......all covered under warranty! Added a few other things thought of to check on which they had no problem doing for me. Very friendly staff in service department, very knowledgeable and honest. Left quite pleased.

Just took our Forester back to Capitaland for a problem with a leak under the dashboard. They diagnosed it quickly and made a repair and we were all set within a couple of hours. Friendly and attentive staff. Very satisfied.

I bought my car here 4 years ago and I’m SO SAD that I’ll be moving across the country and have to find somewhere that meets my new expectations. I’m usually wary of car places since I have a history of crooked mechanics telling me that past cars have had serious problems when they in fact did not. I expected my maintenance to cost me a LOT more than it actually did. The oil change was set at a great price, they took care of my state inspection, they took great care of my recall, and I had a really smooth loaner car for the day. I couldn’t have had a better experience. I’m so happy I chose Capitaland out of all of the other Subaru dealers to do business with!
I let them know i had to have my car back at certain time and Capitalland Subaru had it back 1/2 hr earlier with everything i wanted to have done and at a good price.
The service was great and took about an hour. I had more than a quarter of a tank so they drained it down, did their repairs and put the gas back in instead of rescheduling my appointment which would have been 2 weeks later!!
I went to the 4 Subaru dealerships that are in the Albany area that I found via Google Maps. This one by far had the best customer experience I had. Anne was the sales agent I worked with and she is the main reason I went with this dealership. She was not pushy with trying to get a sale and was attentive and listening to the things I was looking for in a car and even showed me a few models when I wasn’t sure which model Subaru I wanted. 10/10 I am going to go back to Capitaland the next time I need a Subaru!
This dealership takes the cake as having the worst customer service of any business I have ever been to. I reported them to Subaru and will be reporting them to the better business bureau shortly.They held my car for four days (after confirming a same day service appointment), and I didnt get upset until day 4. Jordan was the intake person; she was fine until things started to go south and then there was no apology, no concession - just attitude. I asked for the owners information and they didnt have a phone number and said he doesnt use email.Bob May is the service manager and once the call got to him he didnt apologize once for having my car for three extra days and having done nothing to it (other than possibly giving it back to me in worse condition than I dropped it off - I have real integrity concerns about this dealership). He actually laughed when I said I had dropped it off for same day service - which is something they had promised when I first made the appointment. Then he told me they wouldnt bother servicing my car at all.Again, I didnt even get upset until day 4.They didnt just lose the business of the actual service I requested, they lost the $2000 check I was about to write to their sales department for an extended warranty. And when I say they I mean Bob and Jordan lost the business. Mainly Bob, because as the manager, he should have remedied the situation. I also have two employees that recently moved to the area with Subarus, and they were horrified by my experience and will also be avoiding this dealership.I took a couple days to cool down, and then I called Subaru corporate who made this right for me. Thinking about this experience disgusts me every time, so I took more time before sitting down and writing this review.I had considered purchasing a Subaru for about five years before I finally did, and this dealership really made me regret it.In all sincerity to anyone that reads this, I have serious concerns about the integrity of the staff at this dealership and would never trust another vehicle under their care. Please go elsewhere or be prepared to get ripped off, lied to and insulted if you have any problem whatsoever.
I bought a used Crosstrek from these guys in 2016 and just traded it in for a brand new Outback. The salesmen are really friendly and seem really fair and Marco explained every single button in my new car, highly recommend Capitaland!
They were very considerate to give me a loaner which helps a lot. the only little thing i’m concerned about is i did not have a diagnosis sheet (that paper with colors).

Made a appointment for a oil change and tire rotation. Also had them change the cabin filter. Prosess took close rto 2 hours. Their policy is to check air and cabin filter yet they charge for replacement even though they have them out.After the last oil change they failed to reset the mileage proprerly so when it reached 5000 miles the message to have iol changed never came in.All service department should be visible from the waiting room.
Capitaland Subaru repaired a serious problem with my Impreza. Despite being extremely busy, they managed to repair my car the very same day. Not only did they repair the initial problem with my car, they also checked out the car and took care of other minor problems. The employees were all very helpful. They even provided transportation to help me out. Capitaland Subaru was extremely accommodating. I can’t say enough positive things about the service I received. My car is running like new! Issues with the evap lines above fuel tank, hard to reach without taking everything out. The repair tech found it quick.Emily at desk was also very helpful in completing repair.
I will never use this Subaru dealer again. Brought my 2012 forester in for stalling issues and $2345.00 later the issue is not fixed. They just threw parts in my car and did not fix the issue and just charged me every time. They also did not call my extended warranty company who now has the receipts and told me things were covered that the dealer charged me for. Dishonest company. I dont how they sleep at night!!!
I really like this suburu dealership, so far everyone has been so nice nice and helpful. I had my front brakes done and a couple recalls it took a little longer than originally thought so the service department gave me a loner car so I wouldn’t be inconvenienced. That was very helpful.

Very friendly without being pushy. Our experience buying our new car was easy and without any problems. They bent over backwards to make sure we got the deal we wanted on the car we wanted. We love the new Outback which has all the bells & whistles we desired. Our salesman walked us through all the options after we received the car, and when we had more questions about some issues after using the car for a while, the maintenance coordinator explained them in detail and helped resolve them.

Professional, informative and understanding! Bob took his time to understand my needs and educated me on the brand without being pushy. The entire experience from start to finish was everything you would have hoped for when looking to find a car.
Very friendly talked me into more service than I was going to have but that was alright. Had the wheels balanced, alignment checked, and tires rotated they never checked the pressure. Ended up with the 35lb tires in the rear and the 32lb tires In front. They cleaned the throttle plate and a bolt is missing holding the cover on. I had asked for them to update the software as I was about to pass the 36 months, they could or did not want to. So I spent the time figuring out how to do it sitting in my driveway. I had just brought out the lease becouse they had no outback touring to sell me. Subaru suggested I contact my dealer for help but after 2 calls to the finance department both were not returned I did it myself. Not hard but I had never done that before.My plan is to purchase a new Outback Touring when they become available and I can get a good deal but there are other dealers.

Even though my specific repair was only going to take 90 minutes I was given a loner vehicle to use so I could go about my day like any other. When my vehicle was finished I received a call that it was complete and was still told no hurry.. I am very appreciative that I was able to enjoy my day without even feeling like i was doing a chore.. First new car service June 23, 2021 easy and under one hour.
Ive not always had good experience buying cars from a dealer but we needed a new car, saw a real beaut online, called, setup a meeting and Bob Bonaparte was our guy. He had the very difficult task of letting us know our 2008 car with 199,000 miles on it wasnt worth much (what?). But I liked that he cut to the chase, answered all our questions honestly, clearly and without hesitation. The finance person is typically who you have to watch, but Jason was also straight with us and there were no surprises. I checked every line of that sale agreement for some surprise extra charge but there werent any surprises. We got a great ride for a fair price and thats all I wanted. Oh, and the car was SUPER clean when we got it. I mean clean, clean.
From sales to service, I have had the very best experience. Everyone is incredibly kind and helpful. I will forever be grateful to Scott Lussier for being so kind as I purchased both of my cars.

Just bought a 2021 Legacy Limited, trading in my 2017 Outback Premium. Our salesperson, Ann, was wonderful from start to finish. Our F&I person, Jason, was also wonderful from start to finish. Throughout the entire process, there was zero stress to the entire transaction: requested the internet price, made that an agreed-upon price for the car (it was already very fair), they met the trade-in value I requested, and made the 0% APR for 63 months I requested happen as well. Paperwork signed (which was exactly right the first time), out the door. About 1 hour from initial want to buy to driving away with it across two separate days, plus a ~30 minute test drive. Highly, highly recommended. Better than a certain other Subaru dealership nearer to Albany, that told me Crosstrek tires inflated to 50+ PSI after delivery was how they come from Japan or that someone was just test driving the car I am considering right now. Also, no blaring music or TVs in the background (this is highly appreciated, seriously), anything like that. None of that here. GO HERE!

The staff at Capitaland Subaru are amazing, they make you feel like family. The dealership is clean and tidy, they even have a resident cat who was a rescue!
