Was great to do business with. Have 3 furnaces that needed work (one replaced) and I saved more than $1500 by going with H&M rather than the larger regional company I initially had quote the work. Will do business with again.
Being a first time homeowner and new to the area I looked for referrals and recommendations for someone to look at my oil furnace. I had dozens of complete strangers recommend Hoffman and Miller, and I immediately found out why. The folks here are extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. The woman I spoke to over the phone was polite as can be, and the technician, Mike, was beyond fantastic. I was extremely satisfied with the work they did and the friendliness that came with it. I cant recommend them enough to anyone who cares to listen.
What an OUTSTANDING job Hoffman & Miller did installing my new central air conditioning unit. I can’t praise them enough! They were professional from start to finish. My 30 year old unit needed replacement. I also had a cooling issue in one room (never cool enough) that no one had ever been able to resolve. I explained this ongoing problem to Dave before the install so it could be addressed. When the project was completed I couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome. The new AC not only looked terrific, it worked great and the room that never got cool is now as comfortable as the rest of the house! Do not hesitate to use this company for your cooling/ heating needs. They are top notch and their pricing is fair and reasonable. You won’t be disappointed!
Quick and fast service! We called because our boiler appeared to be tripped and wouldnt restart. She had me troubleshoot a simple issue it could be to save us time and money. This alone convinced me to use them. We definitely needed service and she got someone out right away since it provides our heat and hot water. He was friendly and quick. We were charged for the part (which they had on hand) and their regular service call, no extra labor fees. We have another minor repair that needs done, and it needs an annual cleaning (both which we knew about) which he simply pointed out. He didnt try and push a brand new unit or a complete overhaul like weve had happen before. We will definitely be calling them again for the other repair and cleaning.
David Miller responded right away on a weekend when our boiler stopped working during a deep freeze. He figured out the issue and was able to devise a solution using ingenuity developed from his broad experience.

After a couple weeks of two other service providers scheduling us and failing to show up for a no heat issue, I got in touch with the folks at Hoffman and Miller. Richie was at our house the next day and was an absolute rock star at quickly figuring out the issue. Couldnt be happier with the service or the pricing... its nice to be able to say we have a go-to for HVAC now.
Hoffman & Miller was recommended to me 3 years ago when I didnt have heat on a cold Saturday afternoon and my house was 48 degrees. David was quick to respond and explained what needed to be done to get my furnace up and running along with the costs upfront. I was never happier to have heat again. I also had the install a Carrier Mini-Split unit in my house since I do not have the ability for central air. The installation was completed in one day and you would never have know people were working at my house because they did a great job at cleaning up. I highly recommend Hoffman & Miller for all of your heating, cooling and oil delivery needs.
Called them after my previous provider made me wait 2 weeks and if I wanted it sooner I would have to pay an additional fee. They came the 1st time in 6 days(and that was during the holiday) and the 2nd time thay came I called on monday and they came the next day. Needless to say they are now my permanent provider
This whole operation is a scam. After three weeks, three visits and two no shows, we still having the same problem with our heat. They charged a fortune each time they came, including $200 just to turn the temperature up on the furnace, which was not the problem. They lied about one of their vehicles being in an accident to explain one of the no shows, which was revealed when I asked one of them how they were doing after the accident. Each time I talked to the owner (David) or the office girl I was continually reminded that I could be worse off because at least we were able to get our house up to 55 degrees. I was simply to accept the no shows and their inability to diagnose and fix the problem. If I could leave this review in more places I would. UPDATE: On the 4th visit, they were finally able to fix the heat properly. They charged about $1000 for all 4 visits (and 2 no shows). Oh yeah, the owner also threatened retribution if I didnt take down my negative review.
Nice to deal with. Showed up the day after my phone call to refill tank. Did not charge any extra because the house was served by them also with previous owner.
I have known this reputable company since its origination in the mid 1970s. We built a new home in 1995 and coincidentally the builder utilized H & M as their Heating/AC sub contractor. We used H & M to service our HVAC system with continued satisfaction over 20 years. Approximately 18 to 24 months ago during an annual inspection, the H & M expert advised us that we should be proactive and replace the HVAC system, verses having a critical breakdown in the middle of a heating season. Of course while in Florida in February, the heating system stopped heating. The 7:30 PM evening repair was completed by H & A within 2 hours of the service call. Plans to replace the system was recognized, but put on the back shelf. The 22 year old system failed again. The service call was responded to in 1 1/2 hours on a Saturday afternoon, and heating was restored. We entered into discussion with one of the owners who personally had responded to both above mentioned service calls, and replacement quotes were issued and a HVAC replacement agreement was achieved that very Saturday afternoon. Two H & M expert Heating and Air-conditioning workers arrived at 8:30 AM the following Monday morning, and the old HVAC system was replaced with a new state of the art Carrier system by noon on Tuesday. On Monday afternoon at approximately 1:30 PM the new Heating system was up and running.All of the above was outstanding, but even beyond my expectations was the professionalism, product knowledge, communication skills, neatness and cleanliness displayed by the two service/installers. An experience I would have expected 25 years ago, but fortunately realized this week. (I shared this experience with a neighbor, and that neighbor had a similarly positive experience with H & M last year.)
