It was a pretty late night trip. The staff was friendly and the cashier had a great attitude about being there at such an odd hour. But we in, needed a little help and got out. Overall it was a pretty easy, simple, and quick experience. Safeway for the win.

I went to the deli to get a sandwich and it ended up tasting fairly dry. Ive enjoyed Boars Head turkey before but it wasnt that great this time. The Swiss cheese was dry. The French bread was on the hard side. It was expensive for a fairly plain sandwich at $14.99.

I went there today to order flower arrangements for a friend who is recovering from cancer. The lady who worked in flower department, Eliana, was very nice and helpful. She arranged the most beautiful vase for my friend. I highly recommend to shop at this 24 hour Safeway especially their flower department.

Have all the basics. Depending on the time and day, it can get crowded. It is a great location with all the surrounding businesses and restaurants. The parking is huge and I normally dont have trouble finding parking.

This Safeway always has the best avocados and roma tomatoes. They also have an in-store coffee shop thats really good. They have run out of a couple items (milk, creamer, sodas) but for the most part theyre well stocked. They also have 4 self-checkout registers, of which Im a big fan! Definitely my favorite Safeway!

This Safeway is conveniently located if you are camping in the Henry Cowell Redwoods. You dont need to carry nothing from home and just get here and pick your next meal!Employees are super friendly and corteous.

A very clean and well stocked store, excellent floral department as well as fresh seafood/ meat counter, plus a large variety of breads and desserts in the bakery department. I really enjoy shopping at this Safeway

They installed self checkout and what used to be a quick in-out is now a long, long wait for service. It’s funny because this one used to have much shorter lines than the Felton location.So skip this location if buying alcohol- not worth the wait. Felton has a worse wine selection, but faster service.

Best Safeway in the area. Its Scotts Valley, so its clean and not overrun with homeless like so many in Santa Cruz are.

I had dumped this Safeway as my primary supermarket shortly after the chain was acquired by private equity firm Cerberus in 2015. Changes made to inventory and pricing pretty suddenly made this market unattractive, and I made Nob Hill across the street my primary. However, the ownership changed again in 2017, and there has been a positive result. Ive made Safeway my primary market again and gave it one more star. The staff people are very nice and helpful, and the promotions are good. I have Just4U and use it regularly. In all fairness, I had to update this review.

They had 3 of the things I wanted, but no oven cleaner. Everything else was well stocked.

This Safeway and Safeway Corporate now support ANTI MASKERS! I would give negative stars if I could! I feel cheated and swindled by Safeway into thinking this was a safe shopping environment during the pandemic but it was just a lie. The manager told me all they can do is ask and if you tell them you have a medical exemption they just accept that with no proof. I will never shop at Safeway again now that the cards are on the table. Apparently the few hundred dollars brought in by the few anti mask customers is MUCH more important to them than the health and safety of its regular customers and employees. THEY ARE ANTI MASK, ANTI LIFE, ANTI SCIENCE, and ANTI EQUALITY.

Great selection and accessible restrooms.

Went in last night and despite it being late, I feel like this should not have happened either way. I love dogs but theres a time and place where they should be, and a huge dog in a grocery store that was clearly not a service dog was in there. Not the biggest issue but still unacceptable. Then went down the international aisle, and a team member thought it would be acceptable to toss a box off of the U-boat down the aisle as if it were a bowling alley 20 feet away. Mind you I was still in the aisle shopping.Then went into frozen and a lot of the product boxes were shoved in and partially opened due to the shelves being too close together. I understand we are all dealing with a lot, but as an essential worker as well, id never do this. Walked around for maybe 5 minutes, and left with nothing. Huge bummer

You deserve better than the lackluster staff and service. I know I do. Nob Hill is far friendlier and just a couple more dollars here and there on a few things. Worth it all day.

They just reopened for dine in and only about 3/4 if the dishes they use to have are there.plus its more expensive now. But food is good.

They got what you need in the convenience of The Spot.

Nice & clean. Perfect customer service. Starbucks inside. I absolutely love this particular Safeway. I love all Safeways. Theres only one bad thing, albeit, I dont believe for one minute that Safeway has anything to do with price gouging....but today, Lysol spray, for 1 can was $19.95!! We couldnt believe it! No rubbing alcohol and out of peroxide. The nice gentleman who works for Safeway stated that, their prices are only marked up 5%. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Always has good sales! I also love their Rewards program. You sign up on their website. Then you can get coupons for your local stores, and after you purchase items, you can get cash back. Its really great!

The deli counter was filthy and the employees are rude. Back to Nob Hill.

Placed an order for pick up for the first time. Wasnt the best experience but thats only because of the times we are in and due to not enough man power. The manager was kind and was able to work everything out.

Better than Felton but not as good as Mission St

Sanitation guidelines well established. Carts are cleaned constantly. Ironically with less customers there are more lines open. I love the produce. Always fresh. They have some Hispanic foods as well. This place has the best oranges in town!

Been going to Safeway all my life, so I know what to expect. I wanted to give this location 5 stars but lately I can only get about 75 percent of whats on my shopping list. Another bummer is I want to order online but the site is not working ☹️

Great grocery store

Good store. The bad thing is after waiting in the line for 15 mins to get the self check out. The person in charge tells you, you cant pay alcohol and tells you to get in line to a cashier. She totally could help us in someway not making us wait at least another 15 mins

Favorite local Safeway! Employees are consistently very helpful & friendly. The store always has what I need. I travel from Felton - an extra 10m to go to this store instead because it is more consistent with inventory & friendly employees.

I go here once a year for an equinox camping trip at Big Basin Redwood State Park. Its just a Safeway, but a Safeway that has everything you need. Its huge and has great produce and firewood and an ATM and ice. Go there now!

A pretty good Safeway. And very few customers at 7am, when were were there.

Today I was shopping at Safeway and the shelves were decently stocked and most staff were fantastic except Matt the manager. I went to ask him for help on finding peanut butter whilst he was on his cellphone and he ignored me and walked away texting, them at checkout I see him on the side yelling at some other staff.

Mega market. Its another Safeway. Odd, I used to like these markets, but now days Id rather go to Shoppers Corner

They never seem to have what Im looking for in this small Safeway.Never the kind of cat treats that we use or any of the great flavors of Noosa Yogurts. Such as blood orange, strawberry, etc. Always are stocked on coconut, which I cant stand.Also doesnt seem to work properly with the deals that I have downloaded. The staff always says that they never have any connection here and do not seem to know much of anything about the subject.I have to say though, that the people doing the stocking in the evening are always pleasant and very helpful!

There no signage as to hours or which doors are open, which is especially annoying after dark. Occasionally, a small handwritten paper is taped to a closed door which is invisible until standing in front of the door. This practice is very unprofessional.

This is the best grocery store on this side of the hill. Much better than the two in Santa Cruz.

Customer service is wonderful. Helpful in many ways. Understanding what customers needs are to a friendly smile. Overall great store with and fresh products.

We ordered a full sheet cake for our Halloween Party at Cotillion Gardens RV Park and let them decorate it however they wanted and they did an AWESOME job. The cake itself was very goid and fresh. Everybody lived it!!!A Great big THANK YOU!!! If I could post a pic I would.

They were cleaning isle 9 with tons of bleach while I shopped, Im very allergic to bleach.Feel very sick now 😷If I could give no stars for being poisoned while shopping I would.Checker seamed to care less.Not cool.

Normally the Scotts Valley Safeway is friendly and efficient, however this last trip on 6/14, was truly a hassle. My guess is the checker was new, as it took forever to get a price adjustment I was due on each of the items. He kept telling me he could only get 2 to go through the register. What made it infuriating was I told him at least 5 times that the coupon item was also in their coupon book. Finally I asked him if he had one, he replied yes, at that point he did grab it, took forever to find the item in question (the good note is he did find it) and was finally able to correctly complete the transaction. I hope for the sake of future Safeway customers he listens to ALL the information provided, acts on it sooner and saves everyone the unnecessary loss of time and aggravation.

I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have dropped my items and left the store because of the lines are so incredibly long. You cant have two checkers if theres more than 10-15 people per line. When I asked for more people checking or a manger, the kid looked at me and said I dont know.

Expect to spend a lot of money.Safeway is ridiculously expensive. I dont understand why Trader Joes is classified as a luxury grocery store, but I can get out of Trader Joes with a cart full of groceries for what I just spent on six items at Safeway.This one is better than the one in Felton it has way better customer service, and a better selection.

One big plus for Safeway is their bet selection. Really have a good variety of micro-brews.

I really like the Scotts Valley store cashiers are always nice and pleasent and they are well stocked, even the organic selection is getting better and more choices, produce is awesome ! would like it even better if more lanes at check out had more cashiers open, during the hours of week-end 12:00 pm to 2:00pm and week days 4:30-6:30 pm customer flow 😊

This is my go to store. They are rarely out of stock and the cashiers are friendly.

This Safeway in Scotts Valley is one of my favorite supermarkets. I go to Safeway because of good selection, good Safeway Club prices, very courteous and helpfull staff. I would give Safeway in general a higher rating if the everyday prices were more competitive. For example Sumanos bakery goods cost more at Safeway than at most other supermarket chains and smaller grocery stores. I have the same experience with most produce. If the items are on sale Safeway has very competitive prices. Checkers are efficient and friendly.

Employees are not given full time. Shifts changing week to week day to nights.Constantly hiring new employees, yet store is understaffed at peak hours. Morale is low.Used to be a nice store.Fake reviews on Google.Significantly understaffed typically no courtesy clerks on the front end and all checks ends are open.Ever since Albertsons acquired Safeway, things have gone downhill. Its too bad it used to be a great store. Sad

While I would rather the store not have goofed on my mothers 80th birthday cake as 35 people were about to arrive, Rebecca Crawford (hope I got that right) began with a genuine apology followed by everything possible to make it right. What could have been an awful situation ended with good wishes all around!

The lighting is always kinda dark. Always crowded, pretty good on produce, better selection than Nob Hill. Lines take too long when it is busy.Its a mini Safeway, so if thats what you expect, you wont be surprised..

Although there was a short wait in line (5 mins) was impressed with all of the registers being open. Thats great customer service.
