Best sharpening service around, blades come back sharper then new.
Broke my walking wheel on the job. Took it here. It only did they have the part I needed but the guy put it in for me. I was in and out. Very great full. So glad I decided to come here rather than a big box store. Shop Local!!! Support small business!! Thanks for the excellent service.
Do you have a carb bowl o-ring for this?Yes.Do you have an air filter like this for an old 1980s Briggs engine?Yes.Do you have an intake gasket for a Tecumseh lawn mower engine?Yes.Do you have a carb rebuild for this chainsaw?Yes.Do you have a new flywheel key for this?Yes.Do you have a spark plug for....Yes.Either bring the old part in, or bring the piece it connects to. They will get it. Parts are typically in stock (plugs/filters/gaskets/etc), so you know what that means...***You leave the store with the part in your hand, no waiting for USPS to deliver!!!***
THIS is a chain saw lawn equipment store with VERY LIMITED hardware or service. HIGH QUALITY chain saws and blowers but go to ACE for anything else.
Staff is very knowledgeable. The workers at scranton grinder truly care that they fix your tools or lawnmower right the first time. They are family owned and not a big box store. You get the personal touch. Give them a try. You wont be sorry
I purchased a brand new Power Washer online. It wouldnt start out of the box. Scranton Grinder is a certified repair shop for Generac. Upon their inspection the carburetor was faulty. After a little trouble, they cleaned and reset part to functioning new AT THEIR COST because fuel issues were not covered under any warranty! What companies do this kind of stuff anymore? For now on when I need a new item, can you guess where Im going to shop? Plain and simple they are best!!!
First and foremost. Ive brought in several tools for repairs and either they cant do the repair or its an astronomical price closer to replacing the item. Second... the guy with the pony tail who is always there is always in a horrible mood. Standing at the counter while he is on the computer and he doesnt even acknowledge me. Nothing, not a hello sir, Ill be with you in a minute, or even a glance. Its like im inconveniencing him with my presence being a customer and all. Very uncomfortable and I wont be going back here for anything ever again. If he was polite it would justify the first part of the review and I would definitely support local small business. At the same token, if the prices where reasonable, I would overlook his horrible demeanor. The selection here is also very limited and what is here is overpriced as well. You wont be finding any good deals here I assure you.
I highly recommend their saw sharpening service! My grandfathers handsaw from the 1920s was beat up and missing teeth. I mailed them the saw thinking it was too far gone and these folks cut new teeth on the saw, set and sharpened them and mailed it back within a few days for very little money. The new teeth are gorgeous and the saw cuts like a dream. Im looking around for others to get sharpened.
Not helpful at all cant even ask a question . Wont see my business
Very very friendly very excellent on parts and very polite and Ill tell you another thing Im very pleased with them I will do business with them over and over again
Highly recommended. Thank you!Purchased a new toro max snow blower. Just waiting for the snow to arrive to use it lol. I even had the pleasure of having it delivered to my door. I live in Seneca county near the great lakes. Thank you scranton grinder. Most of all thank you Mr. Hinton.
Knowledgeable and SPOT ON! Amazing Mechanics and Customer Service
I will highly recommend Scranton Grinder & Hardward, excellent service and great customer care for the needs of your home.
Nice service.... my lawnmower repair was delayed waiting for part, they gave me a loaner.
Great place to pick up the things I need for every project. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.
Very dissatisfied with this business.. Not knowledgeable about the products they sell and workers are not interested in their customers needs . We bought a chain saw there..never again...
Old school hardware store where the staff knows what they sell, no pushing a button and hoping someone shows up. Also small engine repairs and knife sharpening
