Ive been going here for many years, over 3 different vehicles and many tire and brake issues. I’ve always left satisfied. They are great at upfront communication on issues and always willing to compromise but also explain without judgement the consequences of not doing something. They are detail oriented and thorough. I really appreciate this place!

This place is amazing. I made an appointment online to get the rear driver side tire fixed because it was losing air. They found a giant screw, plugged the hole, fixed the tire and get this, ALL FOR FREE! No lie. No charge. I was in and out of there in 45 minutes. This is the kind of service that only existed 50 years ago. I will definitely be back for any and all auto and tire repairs. I chose this place because of all of the positive reviews and they did not disappoint. I’m still in shock with how good the service was. Everybody very friendly, helpful and genuinely seemed to like their job.

I have been taking my car here for at least two years now and they’re the best! I’m super happy with my new tires as well as the other work they have done not related to tires. The team there has helped me restore my car back to like new; they are honest, reasonably priced and they do quality work. A good mechanic that one feels they can trust has not been easy to find, so I’m very grateful for Point S. Thank you so much!

These guys are pretty awesome! I rolled in with a flat tire at 4:00 pm, just one hour before they close, and they took care of me right away and didn’t even charge me for fixing the flat. Will definitely go there next time I need a repair. Highly recommend.

These guys were awesome. I encountered 5 or 6 guys in my short visit there and each one of them was incredibly helpful, attentive and friendly. Probably the most accommodating happy staff Ive seen in a long time. They didnt have my tire size in stock so I wasnt actually serviced here. But in the short time I spent there I was super impressed with the staff!

I had a wonderful experience with Point S. They are truly terrific in my book. Late in the evening, I had a couple of flat tires. That meant by that time I had few options to have the car addressed and I needed to have a tow truck drop off the car overnight. It could have been painful, but it wasnt. The tow truck delivered the car after hours and there was someone on duty to take the keys! Keep in mind that they were technically closed. The next morning I called and they told me that they were busy, but would work on my car as soon as they could. They called back just a few short hours later with great news-- my car was ready. When I went to pick up my car, it was in working order. The best news of all was that it was on the house. They patched and inflated my tire gratis. You dont see this kind of thing any more, but thats what I got with Point S. I am really impressed. I highly recommend this place. They were there for me in a bind in a big way.

I got a flat tire and went to points stire roosevelet and they took care of it right. I didn’t wait long and they also offered me free inspection. I would definitely come back here again. Great customer service with Very reasonable prices too.

These guys were awesome. My tire blew out on i5 and rolled into this location. They got me set up on my spare right away and scheduled to get new tires replaced three days away (despite them being visibly busy). Chris was awesome, informative, and talked me through each step, including giving me options to pick from his recommendations. Im very likely to recommend this shop to others for the future.

I purchased a number of tires from this shop over the years, last time in 2018. I gave them a call as I had an emergency tire repair, but they werent interested at all in helping me out. I wont be back ever.

They changed two downstream oxygen sensors and charged me $236 just for the mechanic labor fee. In total paid more than $800 (this time all mechanic labor fee $354). I have been there twice last year. They were nice and the cost was reasonable and not expensive but now it is different, I was upset ….will never go back again

I have two cars, I brought both in on one day (with appointment) to get tires rotated. The staff were prompt, polite, and followed my direction to include my trucks spare tire in the rotation. They sent me a link with an inspection report complete with photos... So I could verify that what they suggested was accurate. Im a car girl, I do most of my own maintenance wherever possible. I really appreciate shops like these who are run by fellow enthusiasts. Ive brought my 4Runner in twice now, rotation and to have the chassis greased. Both times I made pleasant conversation with various staff members. They raved about my truck and we chatted about a these beautiful machines. I love when mechanics love my car as much as I do! I will be continuing to bring Roxanne the 4Runner here for services I dont have time to perform myself, because I know I am (and she is) in good & capable hands.

Staff at Point s is informative and Incredibly customer service driven

I went in today to have all terrain tires swapped in on my van, and upon receiving my vehicle I was sad to find many signs of a lack of respect to it. The work was done quickly and seems fine, although I would note that they failed to reset my TPMS light which would have been a nice thing to do as part of a tire changing service, as it is farily inconveneint to have to do that myself (much easier if done during change over rather than after). More significantly however the car was returned with multiple large black stains on both the driver and passenger seat, as well as unidentifiable red stain on the passenger seat that looks like it may have been ketchup or something similar which spilled and formed a crusty spot. By the size the stains look like they may have been caused by a shoe stepping on the seats, however by the tread pattern and the additional stain on the back rest of the seat I kinda wonder if a tire was rolled through the front of my car. My car is a campervan (props to them for fitting it in the shop) and has pretty high quality woodwork on the inside where the new tires were stored. Either on pulling out the new tires or putting away the old ones, they also left some significant black stains on the woodwork. I dont really expect a tire shop to have the responsibility of stowing tires in a finished interior, however the new tires were on a painters drop cloth that I used to protect the interior, and as it would have been very easy for them to leave the drop cloth over the wood surfaces and avoid the damage, so this also points to some carelessness and lack of respect to my vehicle which is rather dissapointing. New tires look great though!

Absolutely thrilled with these guys- being completely car-ignorant, I took my car to a Grease Monkey for one of their free brake inspections where they told me I had 3 millimeters left on my front brake pads and needed them replaced immediately, and that theyd charge $449.00!!! Thank god there price was so ridiculous that I didnt go through with it.Since I also needed new tires, I decided to look elsewhere and called these guys up. They were WAY more affordable, and Barb provided excellent customer service, so I dropped my car off yesterday morning ready to pay a good chunk for 4 new tires, alignment, and new front brake pads. When they inspected my front brake pads and found that they still had at least half of their life left in them, rather then go through with the job anyways and charge me, when I would be none the wiser, Barb called me instead and told me that Grease Monkey essentially lied to me and that my brake pads did not need replacing.As someone who doesnt know much about cars, I need to be able to trust who I send mine to. Barb and her crew at Point S were honest with me and so I ended up saving big not having to pay for unneeded brakes. (I DID have them do the tires and so far they drive great, very affordable too!) As a result, they can count on my business when the time does come for me to get brakes replaced. May not seem like a big deal, but it matters to me!Point S: 5/5 starsGrease Monkey: -1/5 stars

AVOID THIS COMPANY IF POSSIBLE!Went in for a slight shaking, James seemed like a really nice guy. After they looked at it, he quoted me a $3000 + repair job for a 10 year old Civic, wanting to replace almost every component that touches the wheels (control arms, bushings, every tire). Best part? Estimate was a handwritten note on the back of my original info sheet. He told me he could get it done today and how would I like to pay for this HUGE BILL? Credit card, James? It should be noted that James was really nice, even though every other part seemed very shady. I decided to get a second opinion.Went to the Honda dealership, and they found a problem with a single tire (radial belt shifted?) and some other minor things that might have contributed (need new brakes).Im sure these guys do a good job, but there is literally nothing affordable about Affordable Tire and Brake

I have been going to Point S in Seattle (the 98105 zip code location) since it was Affordable Tire. I have purchased one set of tires, had three sets of tires installed, and had a comprehensive brake job there. On 24 October 2018 I had my most recent set of tires installed. My significant other dropped off the vehicle and picked it up. It was not until that weekend I noticed my wheels were completely scratched from curb rash and near the center cap. She spoke to the assistant manager and manager and they denied the rash was of their doing. I admit one wheel had curb rash, but not all four and definitely not around the lip of the wheel. I do not have before and after photos, but then again, I would have never thought of taking photos given the previous successful work performed at this location. I am seeking assistance on this matter as I am completely frustrated. My car is 11 years old but only has 70k miles on it. I drive only on weekends and always walk around the car prior to driving to check for defects. I am certain these curb rashes and center lock scratching was caused by service performed on my car at Point S. I never leave reviews but though this one was worth my time.

Took my car in for a synthetic oil change and tore rotation. I was quoted $80.I got my car back. The oil was changed and the tires were rotated. I was charged $80.This was a pretty good place to go. No hassling about unnecessary maintenance items, I know my car is in good condition and doesn’t need any urgent repairs or maintenance.I would definitely go again!

I have been going to this tire shop since 2006 and have always had good service until recently. On my last trip, two examples have made me make the decision to take my business elsewhere: when I retrieved my car, I checked that my spare tire had been locked down in the trunk. When I opened the hatchback door, the lift cover for the trunk space was all askew. Upon further inspection, the right side rope that pulls this lift cover open was down to a thread. When I tried to put the lift in place--that string broke. The trunk lift cover worked perfectly when I dropped the car off and now it did not. The second thing, was that I was told that all of my struts needed replacing and that one of them was leaking. Since I was only in for a set of tires, I told them I would check that strut issue with my garage in Ballard. Good thing--my Ballard garage said there was nothing wrong with my struts. Point S is not the old Affordable Tire.

They helped me out with only a minute notice and were extremely friendly! Although the news wasnt good about my car, they gave me lots of options and in the end Im happy with my service, the price, and my cars repairs! They even offered to do some other services for free that arent usually offered at auto repair places. Recommended this place to all my friends!

Affordable Tire Factory is the only service provider that has ever worked on my car, and Im going to keep it that way. Even though I dont live in the U District anymore, I will still make the effort to come here for my car. They keep detailed records of my services, remind me of oil changes, and treat me like a valued customer every time I come in. There have been times where I have only needed a headlight changed and another time where I needed almost 2k of maintenance done. Regardless of the reason I am in there, the employees are kind, and their service is unbeatable. Because I drive children around for my job, I go to Affordable Tire because I know they do the job right the first time. Thank you for keeping me and my kiddos safe!

This is a review for a service about 4 months previous, I want to make sure they know how appreciative of their help I was. I had four new tires installed on my vehicle a few days prior at Costco, and for some reason one of them unseated from the wheel. They were the closest shop in the area, so I threw the spare on and went there. They took care of getting my tire back on the Wheel and getting me back on the road in under an hour on a busy day, and regardless that I was not a prior customer, and that I didnt purchase the tires from them, they handed me an invoice with a zero balance. So if youre looking for great service and want to support a local establishment, Point S is where to go. Thanks guys, keep up the great work!

I took my car in to get an entire new cooling system and they were extremely helpful and quick. They explained to me what needed to be replaced and why, and gave me a price break down. Not only that, but it was done by 3 THAT SAME DAY. The manager Tyler is really nice too. I havent had a problem with it since and I will be bringing my car back to them for all its service needs!

I went here to get tires for my MR2 Spyder and they not only had competitive prices, but great service as well. I want to specifically applaud Corey. He helped me a lot. While they mounted my tires, they also found that one of my wheel bearings needed to be replaced. When I stopped by, Corey lifted my car and showed the excessive play on my passenger side rear tire. I decided to shop around for a better price, but this place cant be beat! I usually never take my car to shops because I do the work myself. Ive had bad experience with mechanics on the past. But this experience renewed my faith in auto repair shops. I would highly recommend this place for any of your needs, they dont just do tires!

I had a nail in my tire that was causing a slow pressure leak. These guys were the closest repair shop so I decided to give them a shot. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and didnt take themselves too seriously. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and they didnt charge me a dime for the repair. I will absolutely be coming back if (when) I need more service for my tires and I hope others will too.

With automotive repair, things come up and the unexpected can occur. This shop has always come through and done the right thing. Highly recommend.

I went there just to get my tire pressure checked, but they were very friendly and knowledgeable. The employee who checked my tire pressure knew where to look in my Volkswagen for tire pressure recommendations and knew where the tire pressure sensor button was in my car. Not sure if it’s common knowledge, but they were very nice!

I took my car here for a brake inspection after hearing some squeaking while braking, expecting to pay around $500 for their brake package which includes brake pad replacement and machining of the calipers and rotors. They called me back to tell me that in addition to paying for this package, I would need to replace calipers and rotors which would cost me about $1482. This seemed extremely high (why would I pay for machining of the old parts when they were going to be replacing them?) so I took my car to Les Schwab for a second opinion and told them nothing of my first inspection so that they wouldnt try and upsell me. They did a brake inspection and said that not only are my brake pads not low and MEASURED 4 AND 5 MM, they said nothing about unevenness so nothing was recommended for me to do.I called Point S back to tell them about this second opinion, they said that they were recommending all of this work because of uneven pressure on the brake pads which Les Schwab did not mention at all. Im so thankful that I took my car somewhere else because I just ended up saving myself almost $1500 at a shop that was trying to take advantage of a young woman trying to get her car inspected.

Amazing customer service

I knew something was wrong with my brakes but It definitely was NOT worth the price quoted. I brought my car in and they told me my rotors and pads needed to be replaced and that my calipers were seized and that I needed to get it done now. $700!?! I told them I could not afford it. The lady on the phone was so sweet and offered me a ton of options. I just knew I had to atleast try someplace else.The next hour or so I brought it to another mechanic who quoted me $100 because my pads were literally nonexistent - metal to metal. Also, he popped my hood open and to my surprise my air filter was laying on top of my engine. No one else touched my car that day except these guys. It was completely out of place and sitting right on top. I didnt even bring my car in to get that looked at!?! Thanks for reminding me that I need to replace my air filter though? The staff were all very friendly I just cant afford this place and didnt enjoy my experience.

This shop helped us with an unusual request to help and get a stranger back on the road. Someone was having a bad day and need help to avoid getting towed. We bought them a tire and Point S located a used rim for them. Great local shop. They care while the big shops do not!!

Ive only ever had positive experiences here! Ive taken my car there 4 or so times, the last time being today. Being a girl I always fear I will get screwed over at places but they never try and get me to do things i dont need. I recently got my oil changed and the people told me i had some oil leaks and quoted me 250 dollars for the work. I told them no thanks and took it to affordable break and tire and got it for HALF the price. The customer service is excellent and the guys are all very nice. Dont ever hesitate to take your car here.

They replaced my tires at a reasonable price, but when they recommended other work, the parts were INCREDIBLY overpriced. They wanted $600 for all four struts. It will be $200 if I buy quality parts online. They wanted 80 for each ball joint. The ball joints are $20 online for ones better than OEM. DO NOT GO HERE and if you must, bring your own parts. Truly remarkable. Do your googling before they try to sell you anything

Amazing service! Barb Carefoot made my day! Things were looking to go south for me this morning. I was making deliveries to local hospitals, when I came across a flat tire. My dysfunctional spare tire got me to Point S Tire Factory. This is where I meet Barb the store manager. I explained my situation and urgency to get back to work quickly. She was very understanding and made room to squeeze me in and got my tire fixed with in 30mins! Just by her doing this she made the rest of my day roll smoothly. If it wasnt for Barb making room to service my tire as quickly as she did, so many things would of went wrong this morning. Thank you Barb! Your service was excellent! The best priced tires I found

I had a nail in my tire and took it in to get patched after calling to make sure they werent busy. The guy i talked to said my tires were too worn, refused to repair it, and tried to sell me a set of brand new tires. I went to another shop where they said my tires are still fine and they repaired it for free.Pretty terrible costume service to refuse to do a patch in the hopes of convincing me to buy new tires for over $1000 on the spot.

I took my car in for a simple alignment, which they said they could do. I dropped my car off and they later called me, stating that the alignment couldnt be done because my shocks were worn out - their explanation didnt make much sense. Of course, they offered to replace all of the shocks for a high price, which I refused. I took my car to a different shop which had no problem doing the alignment.

Dont GO here. Huge scam. They have been reported to the better business bureau. I made the mistake to go twice. First time they told me I needed new shocks and my car was 2 years old. I didnt replace them. 2nd time they told me that my car had a bent frame. Took it somewhere else and my car was aligned without a problem. They really dont know what they are doing.

I needed my tires to be replaced on my 2010 VW Tiguan. I visited Discount Tire, and the Dealership and just felt that I was being oversold on everything. I had a slow puncture on the front passenger side tire, so I needed this to be done sooner rather than later. I found a few tires that I liked and contacted Point S Tire to set up an appointment. I couldnt of been happier; they fitted the new tires in just over an hour and had me on my way without any issues. I also didnt know that there are plenty of Point S tire locations around the state, which is good to know. Overall, the process was simple without any hassles.

This place is such a rip off! Do not waste your money. The quoted me one price and I ended paying way more. The management is awful!

Most disgusting mechanics shop i have ever met. When i come into the store with a coolant leak they told me it is 89.95 to diagnose the problem. The second day they told me it will take them hours to diagnose it and labor cost is almost $400. Third day (after they have dissemble the engine) they told me it will cost $3000 more to fix the problem. So I tried to send the car to dealership to have it fixed. But they have no idea how to put the car into neutral so the car can be towed. That is already the fourth day. On the fifth day they did not let the the truck tow my car so I have to call the tow truck again to do the towing. And they gave me a $527 bill because they dont know why the gas would pump out when they put the car into neutral so that put some new parts into the engine. The most ridiculous thing is that the dealership mechanic tells me they have totally made a mess because they just dissemble my car and put all the parts into back seat and trunk. So they have to look for every parts and match them.When they know I am not going to spend $3000 to fix the car, they offer a cash tradein price for $4000 for my $60,000 car. They will totally rob you.Apologize for any grammar mistake, I am not a native speaker. So after 5 days, I find myself out $500 and my car in a terrible position with engine dissembled and parts everywhere.

Got new tires there for two cars. Theyre fast, friendly, and offer amazing service. I popped a flat (ran over a screw), and they repaired the tire, mounted it and all, for free. In 30min. Who does that? (The only negative reviews I see are for non-tire stuff.)

Fixed my not-so-slow leaking puncture the other day for no charge whatsoever, even though I hadnt even bought the tires from them to begin with... and the best part is that I told them I was in a real hurry that day, and they listened (no, really!) and had it done within 20mins!

Free tire repair...i thought it was a hook too but when i got my truck in the with a flat, they fixed er right up then told me it was free. Needless to say theyre doing my oil changes and regular maintenance now. Good honest shop.

I came in to get a tire with a slow leak patched before a cross-country road trip. Made the mistake of telling them that I was leaving the state the next day and not coming back (and being a young, single female). They patched the tire and told me I needed $1000 worth of brake work, several belts replaced and new suspension. I got the brakes done even though they always felt responsive. I didnt spend the $900 they wanted for the suspension/struts. Had that looked at by my mechanic at home and they told me it was fine. Probably didnt need the brakes done either. Watch out - these guys WILL take advantage of you if they get a chance! :-(

Affordable for Car Maintenance Services but Expensive for Car RepairsI have serviced my car in this shop since 2009. Overall I had a great experience bringing my car here for basic maintenance services. They are truly the most affordable in Seattle and overall customer service is OK.However when it came to repairs, (more than once) I had to deal with the following issues:- Shop did not fix my car right the first time. Car had to get towed back to the shop.- Shop did not own up to obvious mistakes until after complaining multiple times.- Solving the problem costed more than the estimate. (A tough one for students on a tight budget).Hope this review helps you save some money but avoid dealing with a bad auto repair experience.

Went in for an oil change. They also did an inspection and Tyler Arp Store Manager came out and told me Ive got some bad news. He quoted me $2500 worth of repairs on items such as gas struts, control arms, battery replacement, powersteering service, and automatic transmission service. I went to a service location that was highly recommended by my family friends and was told that the gas struts were worn sure but in not need of replacement and that the real problem with my car was with the alternator. I got quoted $500 at the other service location.They are knowledgeable sure, they are even extremely friendly people. But its all a ruse, all so they can take your money. So at the end of the day, this place tries to steal from you.

I had a tire puncture and limped into this shop. Since I busted the sidewall, I needed a new pair of tires. While the car was in the shop, the technician called to tell me I needed a new battery and the car wouldnt start. I said no thanks. Then ten minutes later I called for an update and it the battery miraculously worked again. Classic up-sell junk business tactics.

I took my car in for new tires and an oil change and when I picked it up, they had it parked in a 1 hour zone with a parking ticket on it! I went back inside assuming they would take the fine off my bill. Instead the employee didnt know how to deal with this situation (DONT GET PARKING TICKETS ON CUSTOMERS CARS!?!) had me call back in the morning to speak to the manager who refused to refund my debit card and rudely only offered credit on future service. LOL! After such poor business and customer service practice I cannot trust them with my vehicle. I had taken my car there 3 times in the past and would have returned. I hope they are happy with losing a customer for not pay a ticket that THEY got! BAD BUSINESS!

Made an appointment, but they didnt write down my name. Nowhere to park. Nobody greets you when you arrive. Waited for awhile. Car makes noise now, probably due to unbalanced tire. Overheard another customer complaining about the same problem. Avoid at all costs.
