Love my 5’ cedar tub! Fun project too... with plumbing, electrical and carpentry coming together into a sweet add to our yard.

Broken hot tub after only 10 months. Heater element and circuit board caught on fire. They said it was under warranty but we only get a run around. They blame their manufacturers saying they can’t get the heaters or anything else yet they just announced a sale and say they are selling tons of them. They have excuses every time we call. Meanwhile we haven’t been able to use our new hot tube in months. We are planning to make a heater ourselves out of PEX flexible hose! There are DIY videos on it. Therefore not depending on poor business ethics of not fallowing through for the customers after selling a product. Part 2: They have come through!! They sent the replacement heater and we switched it out and it’s back up and running! Our DIY solar hot water heater will help us save on electricity and is doing very well! Therefore we are happy that we learned to build a DIY hot water heater because of this!

Cedar tubs are fantastic. They look great, they smell great, and putting it all together is pretty satisfying.All that said, I couldnt possibly recommend Snorkel Tubs. I bought a tub there and requested a spa pack for circulation only--no jets. What I was sold was a motor that could lift a 747. Probably the result of a QA/QC glitch, I received a package whose design was destined to fail, no matter how perfect the installation.What was doubly irritating about my whole experience was that, after coming back to Snorkel when I experienced problems, they kicked me to the original equipment manufacturer instead of working directly with me to troubleshoot, and intimated that it had to be a case of user and/or installer error. In other words, not our problem. Having paid one too many professionals to diagnose my problems, and doing a good deal of independent research to work through it, I know for certain that it was neither. You can be assured that nobody at Snorkel will listen to your problems seriously, make any earnest attempt to understand them, or give you any explanation other than user/installer error.There are at least two other cedar tub vendors. I havent purchased anything from them, but I cant imagine a lousier possible customer experience than with Snorkel.

Popped in to ask some questions, wound up getting a tour of the factory! Its fantastic when you can tell how much someone loves their product, and these guys really love what they do. Cant wait to get our hot tub from these guys.
