I’m Mexican and all I can say this place tastes like home. The prices are affordable and the quantity of food is really good. The dishes have a lot of flavor, and they have a lot of different kind of dishes, you can find tacos, quesadillas and even barbacoa on the weekend. The place is not fancy but somehow you feel the Mexican touch. You can also find Mexican groceries.

Asada taco was good and tasty. Carnitas taco was a bit smelly, like not so fresh or frozen pork. Menu was very confusing. They have pictures on the wall yet it is not what they sell or serve. Place is a bit dirty. Pricing point is very good though. Lady at cashier is helpful explaining the menu; the manager (guy with glasses) seems a bit uptight, yelling at every staff, acting like an a-hole and is very unpleasant, which ruins the eating experience -- hence the 3 stars.

This place stocks festive piñatas along the ceiling as well as authentic mexican sundries. The real attraction is in the rear of the establishment. The Barbacoa is the best Ive had in Seattle!! I gave 4 stars because the eatery section could be a bit cleaner.

This staff is rude and judgmental with a tad of know-it-all attitude. They speak Spanish and they didnt know I spoke spanish, I over heard their conversation about how I didnt know what I wanted nor did I know how to order. 2 stars for the inventory and prices. 3 less stars for their unwelcome attitude.

So good! I ordered in Spanish but they can deal with English as well. Bare bones space, smallish menu. Don’t expect beans, rice or chips. The horchata is 💯. I ordered the quesadilla con tinga de res. It was pretty good, it was also really big and filled to the brim with meat. It just seemed to be missing some sort of veggie or something the break up all that meat. Besides that, the flavors where great and the salsa had a flavorful kick which is often missed at most places. The aguas frescas are delicious and worth the 3 extra dollars. Downside, the venue is a bit grimy looking and they spoke mainly Spanish

This place while small, it has the authentic Mexican goods that can be hard to find in bigger stores in the area. However, the prices could be better, and the layout of the store could be improved easily by opening a bit more space by the entrance. I haven’t tried the restaurant but it looked and it smelled good and authentic.I’d like to see places like this with a better layout, cleaner, and overall more organized to offer a better buyer’s experience.

Came on a Sunday for barbacoa (Central Mexican slow-roasted barbecue) and this place was packed with families. Apparently they have barbacoa every day now, but I can see why there was a crowd. The consomme (soup from the drippings of the barbacoa) and barbacoa itself were amazing. The salsas could be a little better/more imaginative (and fresh-made tortillas would be amazing), but otherwise it was almost as good as any barbacoa joint in Mexico City. Worth the trek up to Greenwood. $16 for a pound of barbacoa is a great deal.Update: tried the quesadillas, they are to die for. Especially the mushrooms. Fresh made masa makes for an incredible quesadilla just like Central Mexico - nothing like the wheat tortillas used to make quesadillas elsewhere.

Being from Texas, I was excited to find a real authentic Mexican kitchen. However I was disappointed that I paid $4/a taco for carnitas that consisted of 70% slabs of pure fat. I have never seen so much pork fat on one plate in my life! Spent 20 mins separating out the edible meat (which there was very little of) from the fat and I still felt sick from the grease afterwards. I know carnitas is greasy but they could trim the fat a little. Not sure how any establishment can justify serving that to people. Would have had a healthier meal at McDonalds. 2 stars only because they have a nice selection of bulk dried chiles and other Mexican goods.

I was overcharged. First they forgot some of my food but we were okay with that because tacos were huge so when the lady came and asked if we had everything, we told her about the issue but told her we did not want the rest of the order. Not because they forgot but again tacos are huge and good. They charged me for 5 extra items. Even including two extra horchatas that we did not evwn touch or had in the table. Place is small and crowded but the food is good. I just dont like being overcharged. Next time thwy will think twice about overcharging people. And i know not too many people check their receits and i dont. Just found it in my pocket and started really looking into it and thats how i found out. Again food is good but at the price we paid it had to be good.
