This is a wonderful shop with hard to find Gunpla model kits and tools. The owner is an enthusiast and model maker who is very helpful and knowledgeable. It was great to shop here and I cant wait to return. He also makes some amazing dioramas on display.

Consistently one of the most amazing model shops in the area. I’ve been going here since I was a teen, and I am always in awe of the knowledge and expertise. I have been lucky enough to visit the model shop Mecca: the Akihabara neighborhood in Tokyo, where one hobby shop can occupy five floors of a building. Ive seen the wonders of Gundam Base Tokyo, and perused model shops in Hong Kong, Osaka, China, and Europe. I say this not to brag, but to emphasize that when I claim that International Model Toys is the best Gundam/mecha shop outside of Tokyo, Im not just being grandiose.Its really that good! The owner is deeply knowledgeable about model making, painting, etc, and is friendly and helpful whether youre a long-time hobbyist or a brand new customer. The shop has a deep inventory of paints, tools, and customization parts for fans who want to take things further. Its worth visiting just to see the gorgeous custom models and dioramas on display throughout the shop, but I guarantee that if you ask the owner to recommend a good model kit for a new hobbyist, youll leave with something fun.

Drove 3 hrs to get here from Oregon and was not disappointed! You know its a good store because as soon as I stepped in the first thing I saw was a kit I immediately had to have and didnt know existed. They have a good selection of model kits and price is perfect. I inquired about a few things as I am a beginner and the owner was very helpful and happy to help. It is now one of my favorite stores. Very cozy and chill vibe, feels like home. I hope to go again soon.

A great place to shop for hobby supplies as well as specialized hobby kits/collectible items such as Gundam, Gunpla, and Star Wars. The mostly specializes in Tamiya supplies. Mr. Tom, the owner is super friendly and super helpful. I sometimes go to him for advice on painting technique or general info/ recommendation on types of paint to use. He also does commission work and his amazing custom works are featured prominently in his shop, so its like a bit of a museum. The shop is conveniently located in the International District. This is one of my go-to places for paint and brush supplies. A gem of a place in Seattle if youre a hobbyist, geek type.

I went here while I was on vacation to Seattle. Its a very nice shop, theres so many gundams and materials there that I couldnt find anywhere else. There were a few anime figures too, including a Hatsune Miku one that I bought. The owner was really nive and helpful, and gave me advice on putty for me to buy for a kit Im building. I will definitely go here again if I go to Seattle again!

A great place for models. Ive bought a few Sakura Wars ones here. The owner is really nice. Weve had a few conversations and hes been very helpful, since Im not a big model collector. They also get some figurines in, which can be difficult to find in a retail store. This and Kinokuniya are the pair of stores I like to frequent for figurines that Id otherwise have to look online for.

Very nice Gundam shop, best choice in Seattle area. It has no website, so you need to search international model toy on facebook to check the inventory.

This is the first and only physical store Ive bought gundam models at. Im so happy theyre still in business and everyone in there has always been super nice to me even if theres a little language barrier. They dont always have what Im looking for but I always walk out with a cool something to build for the weekend 😁

Not only does the store have literally wall to wall stacked with different models and modeling tools but the shop keeper is incredibly passionate, warm, and helpful. Whether a beginner or someone who’s been making models and gunpla for years you’ve got to check this place out.Every time I’ve checked in the owner has been behind the counter working on their own modeling project. Seeing such love and dedication of a craft from a business is so inspiring. They’re great at it too! Custom models and gorgeous kitbashing with hand paint jobs.In displays and windows you can see their full completed pieces in action. Even if you’re just window shopping it’s worth checking this store out for the dioramas and displays alone.Got an idea of a model you want to modify or a project idea in mind but you’re unsure how to execute such a feat? When I came in I was really interested in gunplay scribing(the process of drawing custom indented lines on the surface of a plastic model) but I had no clue what tools to get started with. This was the first store that I could see the tools all laid out in person and get an idea of the scale sizes so I really was inspired to finally take this leap into the next step of gundam model customization. Asking the owner about it he help set me up with everything I needed and didn’t try to oversell me on gimmicky impractical pieces. The owner was really able to figure out just the level I was at and what I was thinking of and guide me to the options best suited to me.The next time I’m in the area I’m definitely heading back here

Kind of a bait and switch. Lots of anime characters in the windows but when you go inside its completely Gundam kits. If you like Gunpla this is a go to store. If you like lots of anime, keep looking unfortunately.

Although some things could be found online, it is a great benefit to have a master modeller accessible to speak with and to have looking for hard to find model kits on your behalf. A community fixture! Please support it!Also, an amazing selection of high quality kits, paints, tools and supplies. Restrain yourself or your wallet will cry.

The owner is so nice and helpful, and the tiny, hand painted details on his models, (he also crafts backgrounds/stands/scenes for his models from scratch), and the motorcycle helmets he paints on commission are works of art. Im always in awe of his work. Im an artist, but I dont do models, I just walk by this place daily as I live nearby, and the window disply never fails to draw my interest. He has a good size variety of Japanese models, including Gundam and anime models. If you dont see something you want hes always willing to try to order it for you. This place is as much a part of the charm and character of this neighborhood as Gossip, Pink Gorilla and Uwajimaya.

I went to the Japanese stores in Seattle looking for action figures, books, etc. International Model Toys is mostly a Gundam Model Kit store, so I havent found much of what I was looking for.However, the people at the store were very nice, friendly, the prices were very good, and their selection of Gunpla kits, tools, paint, etc is superb. For people who are into these models, it is a goldmine.In the end, I even found some figures I wanted, for a good price. I will certainly pay a visit there again if I go back to Seattle.

Hands down the best source for gunpla hobby in the area. But beyond that, the customer service and stellar knowledge of the craft are above and beyond from the personable and enthusiastic owner. Even down to the nitty gritty weird little question you may have about the fit and finish of that one out of production model you could only get at that one convention in Shizuoka in ‘96, he probably knows exactly what you’re talking about with that one sprue. The dude is awesome, seriously. The bottom line is: Gunpla in this shop isn’t an afterthought, like all the other hobby places you’ve been. Need a .15mm chisel for cutting hinges on your custom panel lines? He’s got that. Need a decal to use instead of those garbage stickers Bandai have you with that master grade? Got that too. Want the frickin’ Millennium Falcon? Bingo, he’s got you. Paint? Check. Tiny little custom precision q-tips? Yup. Want your figure professionally and perfectly assembled, painted, and based like a boss? Sure thing. Bottom line: F-f-five stars like whoa! Check it out.

The store looks awesome. And it says they open at 11:30 7 days a week. However, we waited over 20 minutes for them to open and gave up. Disappointed we couldnt see it.

An anime model etcetera store, they have a decent selection of Gundam models kits for a decent price, sometimes beating online+shipping and sometimes not. The shop has other model kits like Bandai Staw Wars and other IP I dont entirely recognize. Also has the necessary tools to support the hobbies The proprietor is always super friendly and often has a project he is working on for display. He is very helpful on kit selection as well as hobby tips.

They also just have cool model kits on display in the window so if youre ever in the area (one block away from uwajimaya, which you should also go to, they have gundam kits in the toy section next to the candy) stop by just to admire the craftsmanship.My favorite store in all of Seattle. The owner was so nice I came all the way an hour later just to buy the kit because I wanted him to have my business instead of waiting for an amazon sale. His prices are just as good as the internet and you know his rents got to be crazy.TL;DR shop here.

The store has a great selection. There was a gentlemen working whom was one of the nicest people Ive encountered recently. He wasnt pushy at all and was extremely helpful. If you need anything I suggest stopping by and speaking to him hell try to order it for you.With so few stores lIke this one paying a bit more to support a local business is not a big deal its for a gos purpose. Stop by if you are looking for import models (Gudams, DBZ ect) or import figures (Revoltech, Figma, SHF) or need some tamiya supplies or Gudam Markers.
