These scumbags keep parking vehicles illegally on publicly paid for property, which they use for their own personal business. This is theft from the taxpayers that they use the property to store their vehicles without paying for it. Vehicles are left blocking driveways and over the top of painted lines for days or even weeks. However it gets even worse.They crossed the line when they started parking vehicles on my lawn. Then I had to get law enforcement involved. I had taken pictures of the illegally parked vehicles. Nearly a month had gone by and even though they are still using the front of my house for there own business use without paying for it, at least they were no longer parking illegally or on my lawn. So I opted not to pursue further legal action and just today deleted the pictures. However when I got home today I found that they had blatantly parked another vehicle on my lawn. I am including those pictures.Do not do business with this extremely unethical company. They steal from taxpayers, exploit the city, and have no respect for other peoples property. How can you trust your property to a business that doesnt respect anyone elses property both private and public?

I was sent to this place by a friend. They were very helpful, and went over everything I was having issues with. They took their time to find the issues and were very fast at getting my car out. She runs so much stronger and needed the love they gave her. Definitely will be back if I ever have any car issues in the future. Also, I wanted to add how down to earth and friendly everyone was here. It was welcoming and I loved the atmosphere.

I scheduled an appointment with them for a tune up and they told me if I dropped my car off Friday morning I could get it back Friday evening. As a mom of two kids, this was appealing because it wouldnt get in the way of childcare arrangements and driving to work. I called Friday about 45 minutes before they closed, and was told they were about to call me but they were having issues getting a part of my car to go back together so they would need it all weekend so they could fix it on Monday. Obviously, very frustrating to me but I worked around it and all was well. On Monday, I called to make sure it would be completed like I was told, and eventually it was, and they even gave me a 50 dollar discount due to the inconvenience. I paid over the phone so I could pick my car up that evening once I was off work. I pick up my car, and as I am driving home realize my car was making a weird noise. We popped the hood to see if we could figure out what was going on, and it turns out they had failed to refill my power steering fluid!I took my car in the next day and they went above my expectations for making it right! Tim loaned me his personal truck while they corrected their mistake and even let me use it after so I could take my personal belongings to storage! I will forever be grateful for how well they handled the situation.

From the moment I entered Vollans I was treated like an old friend and valued customer even though this was our first interaction. They kept me very informed throughout the diagnosis and repair. I couldnt be more pleased with the service I received from Vollans Automotive! They were very professional, friendly, and helpful. They brought me into the garage and showed me where an oil leak was coming from on my car, and they gave me a quote far below what another garage was going to charge me. There was a question of how old the spark plugs were, and whether they need to be changed while the engine was moved to fix the oil leak. I mentioned that we had changed them a couple of years ago at a dealership in Idaho, and Tim went out of his way to track down that dealership and found out that the spark plugs are not due for another change yet - saving me money! It was a truly refreshing experience working with them, and I will be back.

I took my yukon in to have the tie rods looked at as i was told they were going to break at any time. This shop had their best front end guy on it and i was told there was nothing wrong. The stiring wheel wobbled when you hit a bump so I knew something was wrong. Took it to another shop for a second opinion and sure enough the tie rods and a swing arm needed replaced. Will never use this shop again.

I love cars and usually maintain my own, but Im in an apartment complex now and dont have a garage or the space of a driveway to work so I needed a mechanic for the first time ever.Came in with an issue (leaking brake caliper), they looked at it and quoted me for free, then found a new solution under budget, and gave my car an inspection on the house. Great business, will be going back while I live here.

I called 3 different shops to get an appt for an oil change. Sedro Woolley Gateway Automotive got me in w/in the same week i called!! Great scheduling guys!!I almost cancelled my appointment last night, and then again when I woke up this morning (due to losing my brother in law unexpectedly and not feeling up for the 930am appointment) ... but, I KNEW i had to get my oil changed if I was going to be driving to Providence to support my sister and not damage my car.The name on the building is Vollans Automotive. This was the correct spot, just a different name.Tim (Im pretty positive that is his name) welcomed me in with a smile and small talk, we both talked about having a pretty crummy night. Him, with his 2 cats being indecisive about being inside the room vs outside.. lol (Ive got dogs, so I totally got that) but then came out about having to say goodbye to my brother in law, due to his sudden death.Both the gentlemen sitting at the desks, asked questions and gave their condolences and support. Came in for an estimate on an engine repair. The car was 20 years old and was not sure if the price of repair is worth the price of the car. After waiting 8 days and hearing nothing I drove past and saw my car sitting in the same spot I left it. I called them 2 minutes later and was told that it was in the shop and they were currently working on it. (Lie)(I did not say anything about it) The next day I was told that the problem was with the catalytic converter and needed replaced. I asked if they could do another look to see if anything else needed repair and they did and said my brakes needed repair. I decided to get the converter repaired for now and hold off on the brakes. 12 days later they called me to tell me there was a different problem and I needed a whole new engine. When I said no I am going to trade the car in they said that they would remove the new converter and put the old parts back in and not charge me. Ok good. I said that I would like to pick the car back up in about 5 or 6 days. That was 7 days ago and I have heard nothing. My car has been there for 30 days now and 2 different times I have come to get items out of it only to find my doors unlocked and unsecured almost 1 block away from their shop. I have used Volans several times before and have always had good service but something is seriously wrong right now. 30 days?

I scheduled my oil change two weeks in advance. At The time I had no idea I would lose my oldest son tragically just 5 days before my scheduled appointment. I proceeded to my appointment despite my overwhelming sadness. The thought was normal activities would help, but being in public places was very difficult. Sunday morning we found we had a dead battery in our car. My husband charged the battery and drove to Vollans Automative at 8:00 Monday morning. They were able to start working on replacing the battery right away. This is a complex job to do, so we were very thankful that they could take care of this for us! Very friendly employees. Would highly recommend!

These guys are amazing! My car broke down and I needed it working again fast. They honestly were so busy that they didnt have time for me, but after hearing about my situation they made time for me and replaced my fuel pump and battery so I could make it back to work!

Took two times to figure out I had a bad battery. They somehow missed that when they tested it the first time and also said I had a badly corroded battery cable that they also didnt see after looking at it a couple times and saying they couldnt find anything wrong. They had already replaced the cable WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. This was after 3 weeks and two visits for a charging problem. They also couldnt diagnose an occasional engine noise or tell my my my tires rub when going around corners. I doubt I even needed battery cable. I think they couldnt find what was wrong, I feel ripped off. Never going here again.You did NOT get permission for the battery cable. I was called and informed it was done and I could pick it up.

I have on occasions stopped in with questions about engine warning light on my Toyota Tacoma. Tim did diagnosis identifying quick fix solutions that could do myself. I received mail discounts and took advantage of them for service. Tim and his crew do thorough check of my vehicle even on simple oil change. I have referred work to several neighbors and friends and they were very satisfied with the work and thanked me for the referral.

The main reason I continue to use Vollans as my go to repair shop is because I know the work will be done to the highest standard. I also enjoy the personal service. For now, I have to give only four stars because my last visit, I was in the waiting room. They completely forgot wwas there with my car. For whatever reason someone on staff closed the waiting room door and I was left and until I reminded them I was waiting. You asked, so Im giving you an honest answer, hopefully this will never happen again.

I’ve been to Vollan’s several times. Each time Tim has provided excellent service. He’s been transparent about what’s needed on the car, done second and third searches for affordable parts, and shown a lot of patience and understanding.Most recently I had a major transmission issue. He was able to find decent replacement transmissions, and though I ultimately decided to have the transmission rebuilt elsewhere he didn’t pressure me into doing the work with Vollan’s.

I can’t say enough about this place! From the guys in the front to the people working on your vehicle in the shop. They are all such good people and really do a good job fixing up what’s going on. Last week, my check engine light came on as I was driving to work. My husband and I decided that we would go to the highest rated mechanic in town. After this experience, I can definitely see why!I called Vollans as soon as I got home and got to speak with Tim. I told him that I’d had a flashing thermostat indicator sometime prior and that our engine light had come in. He suggested that I come in right away and made room for me on the schedule. When I got there, Tim was all smiles and humor and totally made me feel comfortable. When he asked me how I was planning on getting home, I’d mentioned that I could walk (I live about a half mile away. Not very far at all). Tim was like, “Absolutely not!” and arranged for me to get a ride home with one of guys there who was leaving for the day (I’m sorry, I forgot his name. But, he was great too!).Tim got back to me within a little while and told me that our water pump was leaking and that both our water pump and thermostat needed to be replaced. With parts, service and having to take the engine apart, the repair would come out to about $1100. While he was explaining this, I in no way felt like he was taking me for a ride. But, I’m not a car person myself and said I would like to call my husband. Tim totally understood that, and I felt no pressure at all. My husband ended up speaking with Tim, and it was decided that we would go ahead and do the repair. That’s about the time when I remembered that we have 360 coverage on our vehicle. I called Tim and he offered to look in our glove box to see if it was there. He said that he would give us a call back if he found it. An hour later or so, Tim called me. He and his crew had been on the phone with our warranty service for almost an hour answering all sorts of questions. Granted, this was something I was gearing to do myself, and I was completely surprised that they went ahead and talked to them on their own, especially as it was nearing the end of the day, and I was sure everyone wanted to go home. But, here’s the kicker. They saved us about $700 on the repair and said that might be able to save us just a little bit more (which they did). So, that $1100 bill for us was slashed to $420, which is a pretty penny in any case, but it means the world for our little family right now.Today is Monday, and I got to pick my car back up. Tim arranged for Derek to come and pick me up from my home. Again, no way he was going to let me walk. And, we got to visit for a little bit while he rung me up. It was wonderful getting to know him a little bit more and felt more like a friend than talking to the mechanic.Now, I know at this point, you’re probably like, “TL;DR” (too long, didn’t read), but this is the reason we’ll be coming back. I’m pregnant, and my husband and I recently learned that our little one as a rare congenital defect. Because of this, I’m traveling to either Bellingham or Seattle almost weekly for testing and doctors appointments. We need our car, and given that we are looking at a couple months in the NICU one Baby is born, we definitely need the savings. Tim and the crew knew none of this, but they still did everything they could to help us out and treated us honestly the best I’ve ever been treated at an auto mechanic. To me, that speaks to Tim’s character and the character of the team at Vollans. They were honestly God-sent to me and in a way, has me excited to go there again for oil changes and anything else that our cars may need.When you’re going through a rough time, the last thing you need is car trouble. But, this has been hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had and has been a real blessing for our little family. I cannot sing their praises enough! You HAVE to go here :)

I have been coming to see Tim and his team of amazing crew members and mechanics, Everytime I come in no matter what is wrong we end up laughing and having a great time. As for the work its always spot on, done with the attention and passion of someone who cares about their trade and knows that the quality of the work speaks more then any words can really express. The old adage says dont trust a mechanic with clean hands and I have yet to see a time when Rob is in uniform that he isnt greasy as a dirty drive line and that combined with the atmosphere makes this place an absolute joy to visit and trust with your automotive health.

My car broke down and the dealership couldn’t even look until Jan. 2. I couldn’t wait over two weeks! Vollans fit me in a 4pm, one hour before closing, found the problem quickly and had the part delivered that night! They stayed late to get me back on the road and changed my oil while they were in there.While I was waiting, a woman came in asking about her headlight being replaced but it needed the bumper taken off to do so. The guys at Vollans knew a quicker way and not only got the lamp they didn’t have delivered in half hour, they also got her head light changed out without taking her car apart! Vollans is an auto repair we trust. They always search out needed repairs before the damage is done. We did ask them to vacuum out the debris in and around the engine, but they forgot to do that. Hopefully, the next time we take it in to them, they will have time to do that job.

Finding a good auto shop and mechanic can be quite tiresome and difficult. After my previous mechanic retired and I moved out of the area for a bit, I was reluctant to start the search again. But wouldnt you know it, at some point I needed some vehicle maintenance done.Having been to several others in the area, (I wont name names) I was underwhelmed. Either it was poor maintenance or ridiculous prices or both.Recently, my wife had taken in one of our vehicles to the dealership for an oil change and inspection and the mechanic identified a problem with the rear axle. We were told the fix was going to cost about $1000. Having some mechanical knowledge (and previously spent 6 years in the military performing aircraft maintenance) I was skeptical of the suggested fix.Needing a second opinion I took it over to Vollns Automotive. I had known about them for years (I went to high school with one of them) and heard nothing but good things about their performance, so I made an appointment.I was not disappointed in the least. I took our vehicle in, was shown exactly what the problem was in about 15 minutes and the correct parts were ordered. Once the part was in, we scheduled the times and it was done with no lag time. The best part was I saved about $700 dollars versus the dealership fix.If you need some work done, or even a second opinion on something, give them a look. You wont be disappointed.

I had issues with a front tire. The technician went for a ride with me to determine the noise. They immediately squeezed me in and got the wheel fixed. Very friendly guys.
