First time using SPA but I was aware that some neighbors were big fans. My service was only an MD Inspection so my interactions were minimal, but I can say that they were highly communicative and utilize communications technology very well - best Ive seen really. Ive had several inspections done over the years at many different places and this was the first where the car needed nothing. Not sure if that says anything or not, but it might.

CALL AROUND BEFORE GOING HERE. They overcharge for EVERYTHING. They charged $200 for a safety inspection, when other places do it for under $100. They quoted me at $600 for a brake service. I got the same service for $400 at an auto shop just 4 miles away.People leaving good reviews dont know how much theyre overpaying.

I had a great experience.I had a lot of questions about other services and Mike didn’t try to sell me anything despite my willingness to schedule other services, he advised that there was no reason to do them at this time. At the Dealership if you ask if you need work the answer is always yes.The price was lower than I had expected and my wife’s car feels like a newer vehicle.I don’t think I’ll use any other service center for my vehicles.

I needed my 2003 Toyota Camry inspected in one day. I told them just to fix anything required up to $350 without authorization. They did a wonderful job (as always). My bill came to about $300 (expected). First call was to say it was done. They ALWAYS go above and beyond. You need to trust your mechanic like your life depends on it. We have used Severna Park Auto for the repair of two vans modified for wheelchair access. Since we have special circumstances, their ability to pick up and deliver our van is a great help to us. In my experience over the last 15 years SP Automotive has been reliable, fast, and will not rip you off with false diagnosis of problems. They fix what is broken and do it at a reasonable customary price. The customer service is very good as they make sure to answer their phones and your questions promptly.

Called them at the last minute twice recently to get service on my fathers vehicle. They took great care if him and finished the work on schedule once and ahead of time the other. I highly recommend them if you are not already thrilled with your current mechanic/service center.

Brought my 14-yr-old Lexus in with a leaky radiator and a failing battery. They addressed both problems quickly and at a very fair cost. When I asked them to check if the tires also need replacing, they asked about my driving habits and estimated that the replacement could wait 6-12 months, rather than going for the quick and easy immediate sale. They remain my go-to service center.

I have been going to this shop for over a decade. They do honest work, and get it right the first time. They dont upsell, and they never pressure you. They fix what you want done, and dont make you feel guilty for letting things slide... You guys know what Im talking about... The guilt you get from some shops!!!! :) Definitely recommend them!

I have been going to SPA for over 10 years. They have always been honest and reasonable. I have used other places in the past including dealers and often do repairs myself. You can always save money by buying cheaper parts at places like Auto Zone and do it yourself, but the parts never last that long. SPA buys the best quality parts at a fair price. They have worked on my BMW for years and only use OEM BMW parts. You can buy cheaper parts for a BMW, but they never work as well. SPA does the job once and does it right with the right parts. I have found that they only recommend work that is really needed. I believe that they are a very trustworthy business that is very friendly.

I live up in Baltimore City and still come down to have my cars serviced here because I know Im not going to get ripped off and they will be honest with me. Definitely a lifetime customer.

Went to website to schedule a hassle free appointment and was then called and hassled by Lonnie. He tells me, “Their computers are always down and have no way access my cars tire information”, I asked if he could “google it” and he sat on the phone for 10 quiet seconds and say “oh no, can’t do that either” he wanted me to call back later after I found out what tire I needed for my car. Don’t they have a book of what is recommended for car makes and models? I googled their website and found my tire in the 10 seconds he was probably doing nothing. Then he asks if I could go outside to check my tire to be sure it’s the right one and call him back later or he would have to pay a restocking fee if it was incorrect. My car has always had standard to dealership cheap tires, I told him. I gave up. It would be faster to pick up a tire from Walmart and have my Shell station mechanic put it on in 20 mins. Losing business for lack of real customer service. If you don’t know something then go find out. If it seems like a client is uneasy with what you are asking then reassure them with a reason as to why and not because you would have to pay a restocking fee. And put on a smile and a helpful demeanor. This is how you bring that bacon home.

In August of this year, I purchased 4 new Continental Tires for my 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe, and had them installed by Severna Park Automotive. During the install, they noticed that one of my TPMS Sensors was not functional and notified me. Since the rest of the sensors were functional, I decided to replace the one that was not functional. Now it is December, and my dash TPMS light just came on, warning me that I needed air in my tires. I properly inflated them, and the light remained on my dash. I contacted Severna Park Automotive and made an appointment for them to check the TPMS sensor, which they had installed in August. When I arrived at the appointment, I stated that I wanted to watch them scan each of the TPMS sensors, so I could see what actually showed up on the scanner. That particular NEW TPMS Sensor was functional, although two other Sensors were not. The guys at the shop were very knowledgeable and helpful in offering information, allowing me to make an educated decision regarding the replacement of the TPMS Sensors on my tires. This was one of several visits at Severna Park Automotive, and each and every visit I have been greeted professionally and have been pleased with their automotive expertise.

They have been in business for a very long time, I know 7 of the employees and technicians have been there for over 20 year, some for over 30, and 3 for 40. Good luck finding that anywhere! I just moved to Arnold Oct 2015 and did not know where to take my 1974 Vette. I saw their shop and took it there. Wonderful staff, they did Wonderful service on my power steering (it all had to be replaced). I have a truck too and I will be going there for all my auto needs.

I have been going here for many years, and I have always been happy with the service. I saw a review that mentioned that they charge more for parts than if you get them yourself. They buy their parts the same way that we do. Then, they have to store them for use later. Several times I have brought the car in just to have them look at it. If it was something simple, they fixed it for no charge. The basic reality is that they have to make a profit, and charging the same price for parts that we can buy cheaper, doesnt work very well.Twice in the past month, I have had a problem with my brakes. With no appointment, they had someone drive me home, so they could look at the car later in the day. They found the problem each time. They fixed it, and had someone come get me and drive me back to their place. They have always done everything they can to fix my problems with as little stress as possible.This is a follow up to the brake problem. When I had a problem with my brakes. Severna Park Auto replaced them. Two years later, I had problems with the rear left brake. The caliper was replaced. Several days later, the replaced caliper failed, and was replaced. It failed, again, and they got the replacement part from a different manufacturer.Several months later, I had driven to St. Augustine, FL. The front left caliper was leaking. I was lucky enough to find someone locally that replaced it for me. I asked Severna Park Auto if they would refund me the cost of the caliper. They made a copy of my invoice, and told me they would get back to me. After a week, I called and they had not had a chance to do the research. After another week, they called me and told me they could not find anything showing that the front calipers had been replaced.I went through all my paperwork and discovered they were right. The front discs and pads had been replaced, but not the calipers. Even though this took a little longer to resolve than I think it should have, I know these guys are extremely busy, and I was very happy that they went through the trouble to solve it.Before I hung up, I was told, You have been a valued customer of ours for a very long time. I was going to do whatever necessary to work this out.

I dont understand the good reviews here and elsewhere, I guess its by people who dont care or dont realize they are being overcharged. I only went there once and after the fact I discovered that the same parts this shop installed in my car cost 40-50% less e.g. at Autozone (across the street) and the labor they claimed for my job is about twice as long as other places that I found on the internet. So I ended up paying upwards of $400 for a repair that Im not even sure it was necessary to begin with. The quality of the work may be good, I cant tell yet, but if you care about your money, dont go there. Even if you dont care about your money do everyone a service and find another shop. Do not perpetuate the rip off.
