My basement needed a TV upgrade and HiTech came to the rescue. My custom cabinets were originally designed around a large low resolution DLP television and I knew I wanted a newer LED TV that was 1080p or 4k, but didnt know how to make it work with my cabinets. I contacted HTU and they knew exactly what to do. They have a master carpenter who reworked the cabinets by adding a base cabinet below and a false wall behind where my new TV is mount.It looks so much nicer than my old SONY DLP television that I held onto for way too long. I wish I had upgraded to true HD much sooner. The cabinets were custom built and painted onsite; the LED television fits like a glove.If youre thinking about doing an A/V project involving a TV, custom cabinets, built-ins, mantels and more be sure to consider HiTech Upgrades. I was in the market for a new AV receiver, so I contacted Chris to recommend some good value options for my setup. He gave me a few options and I choose the Onkyo TX-NT646 which was on close out due to new models coming in. The receiver is great, simplified the connectivity to the TV and has Bluetooth connectivity so I can play songs directly from my phone.
