BAD BUSINESS - Do not trust them with a skid steer! Called them and explained my Bobcat 743 skid steer was leaking hydraulic fluid from the wheels while in use. Asked them if they worked on skid steers. They said they work on just about everything including skid steers. They said they had to clean the drive motors to determine the issue. They diagnosed the issue as bad drive motors and said they both needed to be replaced. Called me back and said they needed $2800 upfront to do the repair because the machine was not worth fixing. They suggested that I sell he machine for parts or to a scrap yard, so I went to get it. Got there and spoke to the mechanic that diagnosed it, who admitted that he never took the drive motors off the machine. He just assumed that was the issue. I asked him what the $300+ charge was for and he said he guessed sales added it for research into the drive motors. The machine was parked out in their field with a dead battery for me to load. We questioned the guy at the desk about the charge. He sent us to the service manager. No one could explain how you charge a diagnosis fee without determining the issue. I loaded the machine and took it to an equipment mechanic that I located nearby. The issue with my skid steer was a $32 bushing. I am so glad I did not listen to these crooks. I never mind paying for a repair but just be honest if you don’t know what you are doing with something.
Excellent service dept. Good prices on all their farm equipment large and small.
Bought a used Cub Cadet Zero Turn mower there today! Seemed like a pretty good bunch of ol boys working there!...Soon as I walked through the door I had help, looked at the used mowers, cause I aint rich, and I cant afford to throw down $3500.00 for a lawnmower, but found a good one and the guy put me a brand new battery on there and I think he even changed the oil for me! Lawnmower works like a Singer Sewing Machine as the old saying goes!...5 Stars...Would recommend them fellers to anybody!
I read several negative Sims Tractor reviews and was not going sure if I was going to do business at Sims. I was in the market for a 50 mower and before I did business with a Home Depot or Lowes I figured I should give a local business a chance. I went by Sims spoke with Dwight and a few hours later I was mowing my yard with my new mower. Fair price and Dwight was very friendly and informative. Check them out... Scott
They are honest and great pricing
Mr. Dwight was very nice and help us pick out a new skin cadet lawn mower. Took less than 30minutes to do the paperwork to purchase it and he delivered it that afternoon . Show us how to work the mower and told us if we needed anything just call.
Very nice and helpful.
These guys were great to visit with and had my part in stock
Dwight and Jeff are always ready to help and answer questions.
People complaing they are rude. Personally I think people are in to big a hurry and think they are the center of the universe. Never had a problem with them being rude to us. Chill out folks, slow down and enjoy this life we have.
Love them they are great
Very good folks to deal with. They always back up what they sell.
Heavy duty bolts & nuts. Good employees, easy to shop for equipment. Does NOT take credit cards (and they lost over $2000 sale because my friend went elsewhere to buy a Cub Cadet because he didnt have that much cash in his pocket, but did in bank). Owner Jeff is nice and they can get what you need, be it mowers, tractors or accessories. His wife is a great radio commercial announcer.
Best Tractor & Implement Company in East Tennessee
I wasnt very impressed with the service I recieved when I visited. I had been recommended, but I dont know how their experience was so different. It seemed like I was a bother to the gentleman as I asked the prices on a few used tractors. I guess they missed out on making a forty k sale, as I bought a tractor and backhoe from another, more friendly dealer. Better luck next time guys.
Part,s counter guys are great helpful people. These guys also write your service tickets. Their main product is Cub Cadet, but they also work on other brands. Be sure to call and check about your brand before hauling your mower/tractor down there. During season, there can be a little wait for service on your machine. I have used them several times and wait time has been pretty good, better than average. Seem to keep a good supply of parts.
DO NOT SHOP AT THIS PLACE!!! THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN THAT HAS THE NERVE TO EVEN WALK IN THEIR DOOR!!
Drove all the way there cash in hand when they said they had the tractor I was looking for. Ended they didnt have it. Very displeased.
The folks at Sims Tractor have always been nothing but fair and honest with me. I highly recommend doing business with them for repairs and new equipment. If you ever have an issue or concern with a business transaction here, the extremely conscientious owners will personally make sure it is resolved to your satisfaction.
When quality work, excellent service, honesty, and integrity are needed, this is the place to go. We chose Sims Tractor & Implement because of its local & regional reputation and referrals. We received expert, honest advice, outstanding service, and were assured that a high priority was placed on safety. They explained that they can only load things they haul themselves for liability reasons. Loading equipment requires appropriate chains and/or straps for restraints; therefore, they cannot load equipment for customers who dont have the required items for restraints. Sims Tractor & Implement is responsible and liable for all loading. If equipment is loaded, not properly restrained, and it slides off in transport, injuring or killing someone, Sims Tractor would be responsible.
The best in out Doors machines
I had bought lots of farm equipment there before but couldnt find what I needed today.
They work great for us. Drop it off. Pick it up. Super service.
Dwights and Jeff have always been great to work with.
Dont bother going here if you need a part. We went there for a part they said a few days, we will call when it comes in. After 10 days we stop in and are told its back order, shouldnt be much longer. After a month we stop in again and are told they have no record of us or the part. We went to Lanes and they took the part off one of their mowers, walked in and out with the part much cheaper than Sims.
Lots of cool farm equipment
Great service
Bought a cub cadet challenger 750 crew and a mower (same brand) havent had delivery yet. Scheduled for Monday will update review then. Purchase price seemed a little high being totally honest felt like i was paying for a name brand.
