Been picking bits of blue plastic pieces out of the ground beef I bought and cooked for dinner tonight. This stop and shop location needs higher standards for quality and safety.

This review is in regards to Joann in the Florist Department. Joann did a beautiful job on the centerpieces for my daughters bridal shower. I provided the teapots and Joann did the arrangements. I could not have been happier with the way they came out. I got so many compliments on them and told everyone to go see Joann for their floral needs. The picture below is 9 days after the event and it is still beautiful.

The store is showing its age. Stock levels were poor. Wet floor absorbing snakes all up and down frozen aisle..I know we are going through some tough times with supply chain issues, but a multi billion dollar company should be run better than this....questionable quality and poor meats..only dept that stood out was bakery, and most of that was thawed from frozen...and then the cashier was in a dont bother me mood even when I wished her a nice day...terrible

Always fresh meat and produce. Short staffed and long lines but this appears to be the norm these days

Pretty good store. We stopped shopping there because it didnt have everything we needed, but overall not bad. The workers there are mostly nice, but there was one time I was waiting in line to pay pretty late, and the worker was taking forever to get someone to open the locked door cabinet in the front. I was still waiting and another worker came up behind me and was saying rude things about a kid in one of the lines calling him names and saying he looks like a toy to the cashier. I wanted to turn around and say something. Wasnt happy with that.

STILL out of stock!!!! GET USED TO IT!!! These people cannot get it right....in DECADES! If you go there, be prepared to go somewhere else when youre done to go shopping again to get all the things stop & shop is out of. Isnt it easier and faster and cheaper to start elsewhere and just get everything in one place! SHOP RITE, BIG Y, Market 32 ALL beat stop to shop all day!

I live many towns away from this particular $&$, & I have 2 $&$s in my own town; but folks (staff & community) have grown on me as possibly unseating my fav local $&$. Reliable, usually have what Im looking for on my way home (when local fav runs out) 👍👍

Gave the lottery woman behind the desk 4 tickets to cash and she shorted me 5 dollars. So I called up to ask if they found 5 dollar ticket un paid in the box and they say no right away and made me feel like I am trying to scam them out of 5 dollars, I said I would rather it go to charity than the cashier pocketing it. Never shopping there again.

Heavy pollen in the air and on the entire car and windshield, no windshield washer fluid for any of the squeegees. Another customer asked and the attendant said it was in the store and not possible to get any. Good price...

Clean and easy to find items! Friendly and courteous service and staff!

I visited the store on 12-6-20. An employee was super kind and checked out my groceries (that I was carrying in my arms) at the help kiosk near the self checkout. The florist was also very helpful and matched the balloon colors to the ribbon without me asking (a cute touch) and has helped me in the past (when I didn’t know they offered services for free if you buy an arrangement from them). I left very happy to have had received the help I did today!

Store has great inventory all the time. Need more help/associates and cosmetic upgrades inside and out

Overpriced and low stock compared to other local stores

The Stop & Shop in Seymour has been my go-to store for the past 14+ years and counting. I love the selection, especially the organic produce, and Ive especially come to appreciate the dedicated employees that I get to say hello to weekly/monthly. In particular, there is one employee (Gina) that always takes the time to show me how I can save time and money. She introduced me to the Scan It! device, which I would have never tried on my own, and recently she showed me some new ways to find out about sales at the store. I am so grateful for employees like her that take the time to improve the customer experience!

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY!Employees were not wearing masks, the woman working the bakery was not wearing anything over her mouth and nose as she packaged baked goods. Social distancing and customer mask wearing are NOT enforced in the slightest. Customers walk around without masks on.As Covid rapidly gets worse, this business is an example of places that should be shut down and avoided. Stay safe.

They need to brighten up the service desk. It is soo easy to miss.

Stop. and Shop.in Seymour all the staff our great ! I waited in line for a good 15 minutes only 2 cashiers open ! Too many self check outs! I wish they would replace them with staff working behind the register ! I never used them ! I love being checked out by your Wonderful Cashiers !

The store could really use some updating and cleaning. Still a go-to if Imin a hurry but their competitors have much nicer stores and staff that are more courteous and seem to like what they do.

Pricey...If I go there its only for a sale on item I use

Weekly sales and deals are worth keeping an eye on at this clean store with lots of options. The layout starts you at fresh fruit and vegetables, carries you through dry goods and you end your tour with those cold items so they are in your cart the shortest amount of time.

Love stop n shop. Great staff. Nice selection. Good prices.

Good buys and good products

Very convenient location. I made a stop early in the morning so the store was very quiet and, hence, a 4 star rating. If it was in full effect with cuatomera buzzing, I would be able to see how the store environment is at that time. The muffins in the bakery were ready for customer enjoyment and I grabbed a blueberry one to go. Very good. Tina was my cashier and was very pleasant. I would return to shop again at this S&S.

The staff is always pleasant. The store is always clean and typically well stocked, of course with this pandemic some products are scarce but thats to be expected. I want to thank the essential workers for everything you do.

Great place to shop at good customer service beautiful Town friendly people

Grabbed a quick already made grinder (Italian) after opening at home realized they must have forgotten some ingredients seeing that there was 2 pieces of boiled ham, 4 slices of salami and 5 slices of pepperoni 2 and a 1/2 pieces of provolone cheese. Im aware they weigh the meat 1st but absolutely no way this was enough for my grinder. I weighed all the meat and it came to .17 on my scale... for a grinder...NOT EVER AGAIN... WORST GRINDER EVER ANYWHERE!!!!!!

I shop at this store for its location but would not recommend it to anyone. I shopped on a Friday the shelves were not stocked fully. At the check out, there was one bagger for 3 cashiers. Shouldnt I get a price break for bagging my own purchases if the store providers a bagger for 1 of 3 cashiers lines.

Meat market needs work.

Overall the store is good, thus the three stars. However, the produce is sub par at best. Almost ever time we go lately, the fruit has mold on it. All fruits....berries, citrus, etc. The grapes are small and moldy more often than not. Seems to have gotten worse since the strike. Would give it 4 stars if the fruit was good. We go to BIG Y for fruit now.

Do love stop and shop but better at shoprite. Sorry stop and shop. Just lower the prices and better deals towards holiday free bees. Though you get what you pay for

Its So Great

I think it is clean. Professionally run and the prices are decent if you know how to shop their sale items. I like the ability to scan items as I shop. This not only keeps me aware of what I am spending. It makes for a quick checkout.I find that the people are generally friendly, it is easy to find most items and the food is fresh.

Big modern clean supermarket with a great selection and variety of prepared food.Plenty of parking and seldom crowded.They sell gasoline here, too, for about a dime per gallon less than any other station in the neighborhood.

Helpful people I am disabled if I need something they will go get it for me. If they see me putting things in my car they come over and put everything in my car. Clean bathrooms and clean store.

Not the place I remember. I enjoyed going into Stop & Shop but since the strike started there are no more happy faces greeting an helping you. The place in a nut shell was a ghost town. Please fix soon

Excellent pharmacy

Nothing special.. Basic shopping needs are met. It organized OK and the grocery selection is average.. Dont expect to find specialty foods, niche items or spices. This is NOT that type of store.

Selection here is not as extensive as other stores.

At one time, a long time ago, Stop & Shop was a nice store. But now, and this appears to hold true for the 3 or 4 stores I have been in, they are very dark and dingy. Also, have a strong seafood smell too. Not to mention the clutter in the store. The deli is not clean at all. Very disappointing. I do not think I will be going back. And what is up with, we will give brown paper bags free till Sept after that you pay (in CT).. Come on now if plastic were free then paper should be free like it was years ago before some genius decided plastic was better.

Clean, well stocked especially for being Christmas Eve, found everything on my list quickly, and got through the checkout line quickly as well!! Very happy with my shopping today.

Has everything I need. Clean and very nice and helpful employees. I go all the time. Convenient location and had stop and shop gas station right there.

Theyre fresh (made daily) corn muffins and Kaiser rolls are slammin. And the smell coming from their bakery is heaven. However twice I bought Arizona sweet tea that tasted off. But they gave refunds both times.

Good employees, the store is on strike they still treated me good. Its a shame how businesses treat there workers, shame on you stop&shop. Stand strong workers were praying for you all

Not too thrilled with Stop and Shop. The cashiers do not sanitize the conveyors like they do at Market 32. Also, the one I went to failed to enforce social distancing at the checkout. Unless they change, I will shop exclusively at Market 32.

Why are they letting people who refuse to wear masks come in the store? I have to have confrontations with inconsiderate patrons that should not be in the store in the first place.

Always clean and great service

Stop and shop curbside pickup went without a hitch, they call while theyre shopping for you if theres an item not available & offer alternatives for those items... They also ask if there anything else you want added on.They then txt you to tell you itll be ready for the time you choose to pickup.When you arrive, park in one of the Pickup Only spaces and call the # on the sign. Tell them youre there to pickup & your last name. They came out in about 3 minutes, loaded up the car and thats it! Only costs $2.99 saved me over 2 hrs... Thank you everyone @ S&S Seymour!

Went there just to grab a couple of things and went to use a paper bag. I thought they were free but didnt realize they charge for them. Which is totally fine but the worker came at me like I was stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise. Very unprofessional.

Typical Stop & Shop grocery store. The people are always helpful and polite. The store is clean and very well stocked. Parking lot is busy but you can find spots. Theres a Peoples bank at this location.

I grocery shop a ridiculous amount for my job and personal. This my all time favorite s&s. Their organic selection is killer. Also its rarely incredibly busy except on expected holidays, Sundays & the day before a blizzard.

Stay away from the meat and fish please. If you can smell the seafood when you walk in the front door stay away.

I have been a Stop&Shop customer since 1973. If I have a problem that does not get handled correctly with staff I go straight to store manager and have the problem corrected immediately. You have only yourself to blame if you do not go to the store manager, be it in person or by telephone. I am a loyal customer and I get treated the way I believe I should. I am happy with the Seymour store. I shop, scan my items bag them and go to thd register to pay. That way everything is as I want it to be. I am never shokec at the end because the scanner keeps a running total. Be sure to use the website to load your card with a vast variety of coupon savings. Then just print it out and shop. Cool, very cool.l

Stop and shop. Used to be my go to store. Now its just a run down shell of a market. Not just one store. I see it throughout the chain.

So things are continuing to go downhill. There are many products that disappear from the shelves and stay missing for months at a time. They have the most ridiculous robot patrolling the stores in the area now. Very sketchy. There are always problems with the self checkout registers. The seafood department, well, Im pretty sure its not supposed to smell like that...

Great selection of products but prices are a little higher than other Stop & Shops in surrounding towns.

I know its Sunday but there is no reason why it should take +30 minutes at the deli counter. 3 people working - one doing prefills, one doing computer orders, one waiting on customers. With more than 10 people waiting you would think they might shuffle people around. Same with rolls. No more at 3 in the afternoon. Why shop here.....

Still like this store better than most others Seymour prices are higher than Ansonia tho, and the Jewish Holiday food selection is pretty poor considering how close we are to Woodbridge & New Haven.

I went with my husband this morning to stop and shop in seymore now my husband is a dark skinned Puerto Rican and when we walked in a man was there by the scan it machine gave me the dirtiest look ever...didnt really pay him no mind then my husband goes off to the deil area while I get a rain check for the oxi clean...same guy there in line just looking at my husband then the deil lady that took care of my husband was kinda rude to him...when the lady called him number my husband said right where gave him a dirty look he said to me....me while I came to the deil area I see same guy the lady that was waiting on us talking to same guy instead of asking us is there anything else I can get you....my husband just took the last of the deil meat and he said that will be it have a nice day the lady still was talking to the same guy no thank you sir you as well have a good day.....your workers are very rude when they see someone of a different color....

Still on strike with my fellow employees. Off today and tomorrow, ambit I hope Tuesday it comes to an end. I need to make money.
