The new owners changed things up a bit. Change is good! New menu items! This spot does not disappoint. The small hometown feel is very strong at Benedict’s. Great vegetarian options. Everything seemed fresh and well prepared. I do wish they offered more than one soup choice at a time.

This is a great community hub for Shawnee. Chuck and Paula are warm and welcoming and the food is amazing! The roast beef sandwiches are great, but there should be something for everyone!Also, my family has done their packaged meat cuts, and that lasted us a long time and were very high quality, even after we had them frozen.Tip: Make sure you try their Strawberry soup when they have it during the summer, its an incredible side!

Best pastrami sandwich I have ever eaten. Not sure the decorated cookie was legal it was so good. Really a nice place. Worth the drive. You wont be disappointed. Gets a 5 Star Rating!

Benedicts Street is a great eatery in Shawnee, perfect for a relaxing lunch. They offer flavored teas and coffee, as well cookies (the maple pecan is great!). Their sandwiches are tasty and their sides rotate often. My recommendation: The Mallorys Chicken.

Tho Benedicts Street Market has recently changed hands, it doesnt seem to have lowered the high standards I have come to expect. The menu maintains a nice range of options, all healthy. The baked goods looked deliscious, the by-the-pound meat counter was filled, and they still support the church mission with a small gift selection. Service was good, and I love the cloth covered tables and napkins. The light in there is lovely, and have seen more than one table with an individual enjoying lunch and a book....my idea of the perfect lunch!

The food and service were just great. BlackBerry tea went well with the chicken salad and hippo stew. They even warmed up my maple pecan cookie. Highly recommend eating here and treating yourself and friends and family. Really friendly people who appreciate your business.

I had the cobb salad and it was great! all the produce was amazing and the chicken was good! Their dressings were also fantastic! service was good! not much attention needed but my food came out swiftly and it was a friendly environment. I would highly recommend this local diner!!

Very good service and great food. The Unsweetened Raspberry Tea was excellent and the Southwestern Ranch dressing was the perfect balance of creamy and spicy. To top it off, the owners are the sweetest people you could hope to meet!

Just got the specialty Turkey cranberry sandwich! So yummm. Pairs great with the new Cranberry cookies.

Loved the olive oil rosemary bread, three of us about wiped out loaf in a day. Salads were good and fresh. Place was very expensive, not sure I will be going slot.

This item is called Macys Special--, delicious burger and bacon wrap! Food and atmosphere is great; however, the service is hit and miss. Servers are polite but not always attentive, e.g., not refilling drinks like ever.

The food is pretty good but the service is alright...they serve you warm soda from a can by pouring it in a glass and charging about $1.50 or so for it
