I loved this place ! If you are ever in the area of Shelbyville, TN absolutely check this place out you wont be disappointed. When I first arrived i knew this place would be unique in times square right next to the courthouse in a small town. As you can see from the photos the structure is older and has lots of character.The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and knows how to keep gluten free/celeriac customers safe. I loved the chicken salad sandwich on gluten free bread. The best part of this meal was the homemade strawberry vinaigrette salad dressing to go with my salad. The only that can explain it is wow!Great food, staff, atmosphere, history, and unique restaurant.Congrats you deserve this spotlight.

Staff is still as friendly as before. The latte was good but not nearly as good as the quiche. They are great at making baked goods. I purchased cookies, scone and sticky pecan bun. All very yummy.Staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very nicely designed. The food did looked good.The latte was disappointing. I think the beans were fine. Most likely it was the person being in a hurry or lack of knowledge on how to make it properly. Either way $5.00 for a bad latte always gets me streamed. I cant stand wasting money.

The food is great and the people are friendly. One of my favorite places to eat! Make sure to save room for dessert...or two lol Today’s special is soup in a bread bowl. The bread is fresh and delicious. I tried the beef and cabbage soup and it’s so good that I almost forgot to take a picture!

This is a cute little shop and the employees here are so nice and accommodating. They offer gluten free options and as some of my coworkers said theyve got the best quiche Ive ever tasted. They close at 2p but you can sit out on the tables outside on the sidewalk as long as youd like. Its a welcoming coffee shop and Ill definitely stop back in when Im in the area.

What a great place! I felt like I was at my grandmas house! So welcoming. Great coffee that lead to a wonderful lunch! If they are offering the shrimp and grits when you are there...dont miss out on them!

First time visitor this morning. Such a charming place. I just ran in for a coffee to go but it was full of people having quiet conversations and sharing laughs over breakfast with their children. The vanilla bean frappe is delicious and the whipped cream is homemade (I think) and so SO good!

The breakfast here was great. The environment is warm, quaint, quiet, friendly staff. I really liked the upstairs seating area.

I love the Coffee Break. The owners are super nice people and the food is awesome. It never disappoints. Had a club sandwich today for lunch and it was the best I have ever had. Their chicken salad is one of my favorites and they have also catered a shower for me and i was extremely happy with the food. They also have the best breakfast in town. Lets support are locals in this difficult time. This is a charming place to visit.

Great place for Breakfast or lunch. Wonderful gourmet coffees and the food is cooked the most consistent of any restaurant that I have ever been to. The folks are always cheerful and friendly and the atmosphere is as great as the food. My favorite is to order breakfast and sit out on the sidewalk table and enjoy my morning coffee listening to the birds.

Get come cannoli cake if they have it—it’s the best!

I had great service and food. I ordered a special...strawberry salad. Asked for egg instead of chicken an was accommodated without issue. Also had streamed almond milk and gluten free brownie. The food and drink were very good.

Breakfast was very good. Eggs and hash browns cooked to perfection and the sourdough toast was a nice touch. They have a nice selection of hot teas I had Irish breakfast tea with mine while my companion had Sumatra coffee I opted for a coffee to go it was Guatemalan very smooth taste. There is a baked goods display case that just makes me drool lol Ill be going back again, this time to try lunch make sure you get a monthly lunch menu. The staff are very well versed in coffee talk and they sell whole bean coffees as well. We found the the prices to be very reasonable as well. So come on down get impeccable service delicious food and great coffee.

Coffee, Food and Fellowship. This is a great place for a quiet cup of coffee and excellent food. But, each time I visit, I notice that people dine and drink with friends here. There is usually laughter and sometimes tears. It seems that The Coffee Break has created an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable to be who they really are when theyre not at home. This place isnt just in the community, it IS the community.

New to the area and decided to check this place out. I will definitely be coming back!!! Great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff! Cute little dining area upstairs with board games. I cant wait to bring my kiddos here! I had a frappe and it was the best in the area (Ive tried several coffee shops). I did not eat here, although the food I saw looked amazing. Ill eat next time.

I’m on low carb and was tired of the same ole sugar free vanilla syrup for my coffee. They recommended SF chocolate and SF raspberry.. it is so delicious. Cute place lots of yummy looking desserts. Very friendly. I’ll definitely be back.

The Coffee Break has the best coffee I’ve ever had at a shop that hasn’t gone along with the third wave vibe. Lots of work space and natural light, in a pretty part of town. The best drink, if you’re looking for something on the sweet side, is the Borgia latte. (Dark chocolate and orange :) )

One of the best coffee shops I have been to. Food is always tasty and the treats and pastries are delicious. My wife loves to go and the atmosphere is calm, clean, and pleasing. A great place.

Quaint coffee and lunch spot on the Square in Shelbyville! Drove from Murfreesboro just to try the coffee and was not disappointed.The variety offered is good, they offer whole bean or ground local coffees, and have a full lunch menu. Will definitely be back!

They always have four or five drip brewed coffee types/flavors ready for self-serve and unlimited refills. The quiche is amazing, and they even cater. If youre into espresso drinks, theyve got you covered there, too.The Coffee Break is open for breakfast and lunch.

A highlight of my visits to Shelbyville. Great coffee, wonderful breakfast all day on Saturdays, great specials and sandwiches. And my fav, best desserts ever! Really!! All served with such friendliness and kindness. Love this place, can you tell!

Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly people. The chef does a great job of preparing a variety of great dishes every day and if you like breakfast, he serves breakfast food all day on Saturday. They are not, however, open for dinner. Oh, BTW, it is a coffee shop too.

The Coffee Break’s Maple Nut Crunch coffee is one of the best cups of coffee I have had in a while! I also sampled their lunch special which was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, peas, and a biscuit. All of it was delicious! I would definitely recommend this coffee shop to anyone who is in Shelbyville and is looking for a good place for breakfast, lunch, or just a good cup of coffee!

The food was okay, the bacon was extremely greasy. The has browns were a little under and very chewy. My eggs Benedict was over cooked & my bread was soggy.

This is by far the best coffee place in town its been around longer the food treats and coffee are legit waaayyy better than Starbucks id have to say the conolis are amazing!! my wife just loves it here its a great place to sit and relax read a book for a bit outside or inside employees are always so so so so nice to us when we come in their always so kind
