Ate here for breakfast before heading out to the airport. Ordered the Hawaiian French toast and some eggs. French toast was excellent with fresh fruit on top. The eggs were eggs. Nothing fancy there (and there does not really need to be). Great service as well.

Really good diner with attractive decor, good food and reasonable prices. The service is fast and friendly, portions are generous and the food is fresh and well prepared. The selection is wide so everyone can be satisfied. The parking is free and plentiful.
It has been many years since I have been here. They have been remodeled and it was very welcoming and comfortable. I ordered eggs Benedict and coffee. Coffee was delicious, the eggs Benedict were very tasty, loved the sauce, authentic with a lemony base. I found the prices to be reasonable, serving large and the service was attentive. Much better value than my local diner.
My first time there, a friend suggested it. Its a clean place. I appreciate the care they gave. The floor is one thing I take notice of when I go out to a diner, if its tacky or not.The food didnt taste lime the order that came in before me - wonderful!The register was a bit further back and thought it was a drink station at first. Parking lot was clean but busy and tight.

We are from Illinois and decided to stop in and have a bite to eat. They greeted us and sat us as soon as we walked in. The server was very kind, she also put in the kids orders first, so it can be out quicker. They had the pancake combo and I had the florentine omelette, there was a little hiccup, but it was resolved quickly.Would recommend!
I have been coming to Plaza since, well pretty much my whole life. I have yet to find a restaurant more consistent, more accommodating, or friendlier staff. I get the same thing everytime and I dont think Ill ever stop coming or ordering anything different, haha. I absolutely love plaza.

This was so disappointing. Any establishment within Food service should definitely expect a “variety” of customers. And I didn’t get the feeling that the waitresses or management agrees with that sentiment.If youre not from Shelton & don’t “fit that culture” you should probably find some place better with a more welcoming atmosphere. I was rudely scanned & laughed at, by a Waitress, upon entering. Let’s just say the dining experience didn’t get any better from there. Very passive aggressive environment to enjoy a meal in. Not worth it. Spend your money in places that care. I have pretty thick skin, but the food wasn’t even worth it. Couldn’t trust it. Very uncomfortable & couldn’t leave quick enough.
Ever since it changed management it’s been nothing but a Tucker Carlson spewing cesspool all day every day. The food is worse then it was before, the language barrier is worse then it ever was, and most of all it’s nothing but Fox News on the tv all day. Our whole family pretty much wrote it off at this point. Used to be our go to place before it got bought out.

We ate here 3 times during our visit. Great breakfast, decent steak and very good roast beef sandwich. Crowded just after noon on a Sunday, but not the other times.
I was out driving around with my wife on Sunday late afternoon and we decided to stop here and I was a great choice, Service & Food was spot on. As of me I will eat anywhere but my Wife is a very very fussy eater and for her to say I was a good choice I know she enjoy it so we will be back whenever where in the area.
We ordered for pick up, food was delicious, and hit the spot. We ordered kids mac and cheese and kids spaghetti (both servings were more than enough) we also got a grilled cheese (delicious) and mozz. Sticks which were perfect.
We got breakfast and it was absolutely delicious! The service was friendly and fast!

Decent sized location with constant flow of people. Base menu has good options and well priced. The specials menu is a bit pricier but the options are different and give you a breath of freshness that you dont see at a diner usually. I ordered the daily special, Maryland Fried Whole Clam Bellies. Definitely good sized clams and the batter was very crisp amd crunch. Worth the price for sure!
I don’t know why but i’m obsessed with their french onion soup, it was so good. i even took an extra bowl to go. i could go on about that but i won’t. my bacon on my BEC was a little under cooked but it was whatever. this was my first time coming here, but i think this is my new fave diner spot for now

Very disappointed Took 48 mins to pickup my to go order. When i went to picknup my order no one approached me at the register for 10 mins they ignored me even the waitrees behind the counter look at me and walked away. I was just standing there. Until i had to ask for my order. I called it in at 3:00 they told me ready in 10-15 mins. Got my food at 3:48 after having to pace back and forth with no one asking me if im waiting for something. i had to ask why is it taking so long for cheeseburger clubs. It wasnt even busy at all maybe 5 tables in the whole place. The fact that i was ignored especially from the manager i guess he was. Not even a thank you. nothing. Just handed me my bag nothing said. And the sandwiches were soggy cold. Being a previous waitress years ago. That would have never happen if the onwers were there. 😞 What happen to sorry for the long wait or thank you. Coffee isnt the greatest, but they have chili which the other diners in the area surprisingly dont have. Their French dip is amazing too. The wait staff is friendly, and the environment is clean and modern, yet classy at the same time. Definitely one of my favorite spots in town.

Very friendly staff,quick service.We came from Delaware and over stay at the Hampton inn which is right there next door.The area is great having a dunkin donuts,CVS,Chipotle and this plaza with this great restaurant,they were open for indoor serving which is great for 2020.Reasonable n competitive prices over others around the area.Plaza so nice that i couldnt resist to take a picture of the building.Highly recommended!

Best breakfast around! Had breakfast Friday, Jan. 15th with a friend. I ordered eggs over easy, English muffin, bacon and fries. The bacon was the best Ive had - cooked to perfection crispy, not dry and very tasty. Fries were great and the English muffin was over sized and delicious. Eggs done well, too! My friend had pancakes, eggs, sausage and bacon, and she was raving about how much she enjoyed this breakfast! Service on point, booths bright and place is clean following Covid guidelines! Bravo! Well be back!

Since the Hampton Inn isnt serving hot breakfast, we went next door to the Plaza Diner. The food and service was very good a $20 for 2 is reasonable. Our waitress Delia was very friendly and fast.

While the food was excellent and my server was friendly the dining room was packed like a can of sardines. The host in the front seemed to be annoyed at my request to sit further from people because the set up made it pretty impossible. They also seem to be sitting people at dirty tables with zero disinfection or barely a wipe for that matter. Leftover bits of food and drink were clearly visible as they were being seated. I would have to assume that violates CDC regulations. Def will not be back at least not during a pandemic.

The place need a appearance and table setting organization. The sugar on the table shouldnt be on a plate. The breakfast break down are somewhat steep. I feel that if another dinner was open around the area with more reasonable prices it will do well. There was debris on the entrance. Service was good.

Food was good.Service awful.Waitress was rude with her body language and tone. She made us feel uncomfortable. Tossing the menus and plates at us, reaching over from behind the booth to hand me water, yelling across the restaurant to us, rather t hff an talking to us.. When she brought the check she was suddenly smiling, friendly and polite. We assume to get a good tip. We didnt say something for fear of speaking rudely. It was an annoying dining experience. This is not the first time service has been terrible at this restaurant.

Have eaten here a few tines now and while the food is good, the employees are not exactly the friendliest.
The food is good and the prices are reasonable. The service during the day is good, at night and evenings it is a bit grumpy/indifferent. Smiles are not easily found. Last time we went there was no ice and we werent told until our warm sodas were brought out. When we asked about ice we were told there wasnt any, no apology, just the facts, and only after we asked about it. We enjoy the food more than another nearby diner, but go to the one with better service.

Luckily, I have found solace from my plight as the recently relocated; I already feel a part of. Weeks back, I went to the Plaza Diner for the first time. Diandra entertained my questions and provided elaborate suggestions to guarantee a unique and amicable dining experience. Her recommendation, that delicious reuben, which I will always remember as my first, left me satiated and wanting to return, with an empty stomach, as soon as plausible. The next time we arrived, Allyson treated my friends and I like royalty. When I inquired about the condition of the tater-tots, she made sure they were “extra-crispy.” As a long-time fan of tots, I can earnestly declare, these were outstanding. The warm welcome my guests and I receive on each visit to the Plaza leaves me day-dreaming of that sanctuary of the scrumptious with the most outstanding staff. Would definitely recommend.
