A great Safeway that I haven’t been in for years. I grew up around here but it was all old and run down then. Nice to see it spruced up. Nicer than any of the ones I’m used to in Seattle

The lady that comes to help you when you ring the liquor cabinets door bell is great. She it prompt, friendly and super patient. Has a decent knowledge of her booze and is not annoyed by questions. Im a bartender myself and people like her are awesome to have at the stores to quickly get you in and out.

I love that their staff is always friendly and willing to help get you a item you have trouble finding. Awesome store for sure!

What few employees this store has give decent customer service, but the store is woefully understaffed, understocked, and incompetently managed on all fronts.UPDATE: Even the customer service at this Safeway had disappeared now, I stood waiting at the deli counter for over ten minutes while the one worker ignored me and other customers before just leaving the store entirely. Youve lost me as a customer.

Got a couple of immunizations at the pharmacy. Its always a wait, even with an appointment, but the folks are nice and very helpful.

Used to shop there all the time. Not so much anymore. Dont feel safe in parking lot or in the store.

I love Safeway... even though you spend a little more you dont have to walk two football fields to get a gallon of milk especially if thats all you need🙂. And I Am a total monopoly fan .

Everything is great.I love safeway..I have been getting my medical there for over 10 years as well as my shots. Everyone is always so nice and hellful.

Always find meat bargains... and sells.. never can smell the fish area or meat department.. veggies always.. fresh..staff sometimes look over worked.. yet..force that smile.. great job folks.. clean and organized..

Unless your shoplifting then they have good prices and fair but strict costumer service. And the, all work for the hungry hungry alluminoti hippos. Dont ask! Just accept it. The hippos are building landing pads for the gender conflicted aliens. Best prepare your selves Christian folk and non believers alike.The picture here has nothing to do with the store. Safeway is a pretty awesome store but the location of the one in Shelton Washington is kind of ghetto Ive just had a bad experience myself in the past when I got robbed and bashed in the head with the bottle in front of their couple years previous and they said they had their cameras off but other than that they have great customer service great selections and pretty good prices overall just be careful if you go there or if youre homeless then definitely be aware of your surroundings at all times!

New to area. Always feel Im under suspicion like I may not pay for something. They are always nice... Just easy to see when its completely fake. Thought I was being nice to offer lifting up my pop to be scanned since heavy I didnt feel me and them lifting twice was working smart... was scolded they would come around. Then got a huge orange thanks for shopping with us sticker .. may as well said yes I paid for this.. I like the rewards but more expensive than other grocery. I go because its close and thats all.

Great produce. Short lines. Friendly staff. Great organization and stocked shelves. Clean and well lighted.

Rainier over ripe cherries $6? Lasted 1 day. Cashier did not great me. Spent $200. Tired of plastic bags. You can do better Safeway.

The manager and i have had issues in the past with her very narrowminded approach and treatment of certain types of people in the mason county community...i was near the store i did not patronize. All in all it is great crew of employees, and customer service (with the exception i mentioned) has been exceptional...just on her part f o r myself and others lifestyle/circumstance profiling does not feel welcoming nor should it be encouraged

I love my local Safeway. The staff is friendly and helpful. The selection is good and the store is clean.I like that the manager enforced the mask rule. No matter how you feel about it, we’re all in this together. Also the other day one of the cashiers was wearing the mask saying something to the effect of: we have to be the good we want to see in the world; we had a super nice conversation about it.Essential employees like these keep us all going 🙂 Thank you!

Its a great place to eat but it is incredibly over priced for what you are paying for in terms of ambiance and food quality.

Its alright on the inside, but the parking lot is a nightmare.

Since the governors mandate two weeks ago theres been no change. There are regularly people in the store without masks and over the regulated capacity. The deli is a joke. Last week I stood there for 5 minutes with no one even acknowledging me while other customers walked up after me and were served their Chinese food. Today I was there and nothing was in any deli cases. No updates, no signs or messages as to why. A person in the bakery 20 feet away didnt even know the deli cases were empty, let alone why. No signs on the floor for distancing or assistance from employees. Someone was about 6 inches behind me in line, too close for comfort in Normal circumstances. This place obviously has no concern for WA residents or their customers, or any intent to adhere to the governors mandates. Id think Safeway would want to do better. No matter where they are located.

If you have a large RV bypass the parking lot and find somewhere to park on the adjacent streets. I would go to the south side. There was a lot of homeless looking people by the community Transit center on the north side. Wife tried to order 2 different sandwiches with no luck. Items on order did not arrive due to Covid, so therefore unable to make her 1st 2 requests, but the 3rd was successful. As most grocery store sandwiches go, she said shed give it 7 out of 10. I picked up a couple of salads and they were good. Place was packed with folks at 4PM on New Year Eve.

The service is lousy, has been for years, never enough checkers. And they have one speed no matter how many customers are in line. If they had competition in downtown Shelton they would go out of business. I only shop there in an emergency. Not recommended if you want good service!

Is unfair to judge the entire store based on my personal inner workings with the head management but as she is the one that has banned me from the store for nothing more than walking in with the wrong crowd I had no problem allowing her to search my belongings I had stolen nothing but because I came in with no homeless folks in my community and I was staying at the shelter at the time I was asking not to come back to the store ever for life I got a problem with that kind of prejudice and so the store is great the associates there are awesome but they have no choice but to do what management tells them and if that means they see me on site then theyre supposed to call police and I can be arrested and charged with a criminal behavior so if you dont have a problem shopping at a store that has that kind of an attitude youve got the great Safeway otherwise theres two other stores and some in nearby communities that would be happy to have your business, in Shelton Washington Mason county just to be clear I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SAFEWAY OR ITS EMPLOYEES AS A WHOLE COMPANY! Its just that this particular site, with this particular head manager, profiling a very small % of the local community and then passing a very judgemental view upon THEM (homeless and the street family as I call them) THIS IS WHERE I FEEL IT IS UNFAIR NOT TO SPEACK ABOUT THIS I PERSONSLLY KNOW TO BE TRUE FOR MANY! THERE ALSO NEEDS TO BE CLAIRIFICATION FOR HER SIDE, AND SAFEWAY AS A prominate good standing business in our community there in Shelton WA, She does have do dilligence and absolutely needs to protect her employers property as well as her employees and cudtomers, NOT ALL THE LOW INCOME, HOMELESS, DRIFTERS ARE INNOCENT AND EARNED THE BANISHMENTS. This particular site could use some prudent P. R. Training and that is my personal opinion and review!If you love Safeway as I still do by all means shop till ya drop it is clean, good thoughtfull associates, they have extended covid19 hours past most OPEN TILL 1;AM DAILY😎🥳⭐

The store is cool and kept up pretty nicely as far as clean goes but its very crowded a lot of the time and sometimes the prices are a little sketchy

I live down the street from Safeway, its my go to for the essentials for home but the prices are a little higher for some items but thats what convenience costs now a days I suppose.

Has a starbucks inside . The gal was nice and made a good cup of coffee

I would had gave this safeway a 1 star prior to covid but since the restricted hours they really have cleaned the store up so much. I do hope it stays this way.

When all of Sheltons retailers have closed shop for the day, theres good ol Safeway smack downtown still open until 1 A.M. EVERY DAY, even through this pandemic. Amazed every time and grateful for the staff that makes this a reality of good customer service, beyond the call of duty, for sure. THANK YOU ALL!

I wish it were a bigger store but their produce and meats are the best of the grocery stores in town.

Unless you shop the sales their prices are higher than other grocers in this area. The parking leaves a lot to be desired. Store brand items are quite good

Spicy chicken was hard but other than that my experience was great

I was carrying a large heavy hanging plant while pushing my cart with my other hand and a clerk saw me trying to manage getting to my car. She asked if she could help me carry it to my car and I accepted her assistance. While we were putting my plant and grocery items into the car I accidentally dropped and broke a jar of salsa trying to make room for the plant. I couldnt leave because the glass was behind my tires. The clerk went to get something to clean up the spill and brought me out another jar of salsa. Very happy with the wonderful customer service and I wish I had gotten her name so I could say thank you in this review.

New in town, but good old Safeway is always a safe way to go when you need a good home town proud place to shop.

I have shopped at the Shelton Safeway for over twenty years. I get treated very well. Recently the customer service hasnt been excellent, okay not great. I think employees are not treated as good as they should be and the stress of the job is showing. That being said, management should be more present. Today I got groceries in my bag that werent mine and I brought them back into the store and didnt even get a thank you. I love the seafood counter and the bakery but I have been ignored at the deli. I think it is hard to tell who is next when you need sliced meat or Chinese food. I will be back but I wish it was better.

It was great... There was a sign that said no loitering, no begging, no trespassing. And seeing as how it was open, I was definitely doing two of those things. But the begging part was for a decent place to park cuz it was right after requarenteen started and peeps had to buy up all the TP quick like.
