The customer service here is great. I spoke with Nick, and he took care of us. I needed to get two vehicles in for tire rotations and he worked us in to get both done by the end of the day. Definitely worth getting the lifetime tire rotation package. Bring it in twice and its paid for. I suggest it to family and friends.

I really dont care much for Firestone tires. I used to come here for some alignment work and tire balancing. Basically its gone downhill. If you need tiresbalancing its a decent place to go. If you need other mechanical work do not come here. They misdiagnosed my SUV. When I confronted them about it they wouldnt even refund me inspection fee they charge me.

I bought 4 new tires, after a little more than hundred miles i had a vibration on high speed thought it was wheel balance problem. but the after driving just a little more, the vibration became severe with a little clunking noise so I checked thinking maybe suspension or axle but things looked fine underneath. Dont know what came to my mind and started to check the lugs and shockingly three nuts were loose in front driver side. I highly doubt that the auto shop properly tightened my lug nuts. Very dangerous

Literally one of the worst car services I’ve ever had. Simply had a basic maintenance and tires to repair or replace. Originally quoted roughly 60-90 min the week prior. When arriving to the shop was then quoted to 2 hours. At 2 hours they completed the maintenance and took another 2 hours to figure out what’d they’d do about the tires. 4 hours to compete a simple job. If they would have correctly updated and let me know the delay as they came up or were upfront so I wasn’t stuck on site for 4 hours stranded I’d probably just rate it a 3 or 4 but I’ve never been more disgusted by lack or over sight and customer service.

I dropped off my vehicle at 9:30 a.m. for an oil change and tire patch. I was told my vehicle was next in line to be worked on. I did not get my vehicle done until 5:30 p.m. I do not believe an oil change and tire patch should take 8 hours to complete. I was lied to every time I called to check the status of my vehicle. I called at 12 p.m. and was told it was currently being worked on. I called again at 3 p.m. and was told the same thing. I called again at 4 p.m. and was told they were just STARTING to work on it. When I questioned why I was previously told my car was being worked on when it was not, I recieved no apology. I was just told the shop is understaffed. Yet when I came to the shop at 5 p.m. I stood for 10 minutes before someone came to the counter to assist me. That whole time however, I could here someone on the phone in a back office laughing, not working. When you drop off a vehicle at 9:30 in the morning for routine work you should not have to wait 8 hours for the work to be completed. If that is the case, then have the courtesy to inform the customer when they are dropping off the vehicle. Do not repeat lies throughout the day that their vehicle is being serviced.

In the last five months Ive taken both of my cars here and have spent well over a $1000 in repairs. Every time Im told they will get right to it but thats never the case. This last time will be the last time. I took my 2013 Subaru Legacy in for issue with the cooling. I was told if I brought the car in Tuesday they would look at it. Well I drove pass there Tuesday evening and the car was still sitting in the parking lot. However I get a call the next day saying that the car needed two cooling fans and that it was going to cost over $1200.00 to repair and that the fans were on two weeks back order. I find that hard to believe. Ive stress to them that my car is a work car with special equipment installed that I need for work so I cant afford to have the car just sitting. But every time I come here its always a long wait to get my car back. It took them two days to replace the tires and align the front end. I will be picking my car up today and paying them $125.00 for a cooling check and electrical check. I cant deal with this anymore.

Came in for an oil change, been coming here with my 2 vehicles since they opened up in Shorewood, 15+ years. Waiting outside I see my car was brought outside, so I went in to go pay and as Im walking in someone comes back out and brings my car back inside the stall, the guy checks the dipstick then grabs a container with oil and looks to have topped if off. No funnel was used. Needles to say I get half way home and notice the engine is smoking like crazy. Open the hood to see that there is oil spilled all down the front of the engine and its spattered up on the underside of the hood. There was even the guys fingerprints in oil on the front of the car. Brought it back and currently waiting for it to be cleaned with degreaser. See what the outcome is as most likely the engine needs to be washed. 2020 Chevy Trax.So after they were done cleaning my husband and I went to go look before leaving. My husband got on the ground and looked from underneath and the front bottom of engine still had oil. You can see the swipe marks left on the underside of the hood, a very mediocre job of cleaning. Went back inside and was told that the car was lifted up and the degreaser was sprayed on the underside of the engine. We were basically told we can do what we want to do. The associate Tim said he saw what happened, he just doesnt know how it happened. The only thing missing was a shoulder shrug from him.....I understand things happen, the clean up could have been given more of an effort. They were done in less than 10 minutes.This was absolutely the last time we will give our business the that establishment..,

Booked an appointment for 9am, showed up 10 minutes early, was told that a simple alignment and tire balance would take one maybe two hours at the most. 4 and a half hours later I’m still in the waiting room. This is my first experience with Firestone and i will not be coming back.

This is the most unprofessional business I have ever been too. My car was left for 3 days 4 different people guaranteed it would be done by a certain time and had a excuse each day. All 3 days no one called me I had to call them when I specifically said call me the car is full of my tools if you can’t get to it I need a call . I get there to pick up my car that still never got looked at and all my windows are down doors unlocked completely full of my tools. I ask for corporate number and the guy try’s to refuses to get it and says he doesn’t have it but I can give you my manager’s number.

I meant to post this review sooner but i forgot.About a month ago, I had an issue with the tires they put on for me. They were way too loud and they werent the ones i wanted (they were out of the ones I originally placed the order for and didnt tell me until an hour before my appointment.However, After voicing my concerns, I received a phone call from one of the service managers whose name was Nick. Nick apologized and said he would order the ones I wanted and put them on at no additional fee. I was very satisfied with the service I received from Nick. He was great.The only reason for 4 stars is because I have an issue with one of my windows sliding down, I know exactly what the issue is (broken regulator) but the guy at the front counter still said it would be nearly $100 just to take a look at it ($300 to fix it)Well I dont need you to take a look because I already know what is wrong with it. So for that I went somewhere else. But I usually get my tires here, And Nick is a great employee who was respectful. Thank you!

They try to upsell in stead of doing the job they were paid to do. Had tires mounted and balanced and an alignment done. Wheel weights fell off of 3 tires when car was parked in garage. The wheel weights fell of the a previous set of tires mounted by them also. After 4 attempts at the alignment, I had to bring the car to a different shop for the alignment because they were to lazy or untrained to perform the task. Print out shows that alignment is in the red ( out of spec ) and the handling on the road at highway speeds was unsafe. Their response was: THATS CLOSE ENOUGH, BEING IN THE RED, OUT OF SPEC DOESNT MATTER . Do not spend your money on the Lifetime Alignment, it is a joke, all they do is say its good enough and refuse to do the actual alignment. Photo of some of the wheel weights that fell off.

Bad experiance. Took them 5 hours to realize they didnt have the correct tools to do a plug change after i was told earlier that they could. Had an appointment for 10 but they didnt start till 3 in the evening. What was the point in having an appointment? Total waste of time.

My husband made an appointment at 9am to get his SUV’s tires changed and a realignment. His SUV was not touched until 5pm! Then, it wasn’t ready until they almost closed at 7pm! They are very understaffed and seem to definitely be mismanaged! We will definitely not be using them again.

Great service, professional and courteous. Work was done quickly and efficiently. Upsold me on wiper blades, which i did actually need. Recommended tire replacement soon (which I also need, 4/32), included an estimate for tires, but was not pushy like some places can be. I would definitely go here again.

They charge you for every little thing. $35 just for them to check to see what part i need for my headlight while they were giving me a new tire and the part i needed was a headlight igniter - $140 piece and after they charged me $35 just to tell me something i new they wanted me to pay them $1300 to fix it for me when i just said screw it and ordered the part myself and it cost me just the $140 piece and worked fine. I also bought tires from them for my car and a month later the tire just popped on the freeway and because I was going 80 MPH the tire was shredded and even though there was a Hazard warranty on the tire they told me that since it was too shredded and that the warranty does not count and made me pay them $85 for a brand new tire. So if you want to empty your wallet then I would tell you to go to this place. Do not come here if you expect to get a free quote on something while there are fixing your tire. They WILL charge you.

Id never been to Firestone before, had always seen it but when my good friend got two flat tires on I55 and was not happy having to go to NTB (have never had a good experience there) I suggested he call Firestone. I had an unexpected visit to this location last Monday when i was on the highway and got a flat tire. I had to get a tow and was towed to this location where Jeff helped me out tremendously. I was in and out in no time. Thank god my tire only needed a plug and not to be replaced. I appreciate that Jeff was honest with me he could have easily told me i needed a new tire and i wouldnt of known better. I highly recommend coming here if you need any tire repairs as they are honest and fast.

Won’t come back here, a guy put air in my tire but he didn’t screw the cap back on . They tried to over charge me for a part I needed . When I contacted them they said our mistake the person who looked at your car ordered the wrong part and put the wrong model for my car and engine size . Got a diagnostic done but I don’t even think they know what their talking about . Will get another opinion. While I was sitting there a guy was getting his car fixed and was going off on one the employees because they forgot to put a part on his car that he paid 1800 for the service and his daughter was stranded. Jeff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made my tire buying experience go easy and smooth. I appreciated this stores willingness to compete with a competitors price, I originally spoke with Matt on the phone who was able to beat my previous quote. It was also a bonus that Firestone was open on Labor Day so I didnt have to take off work to get my tires done (they are also open on Sundays!). Took my car in for an alignment in August after replacing my steering rack. In the process, they ripped the boot that goes over the inner tie rod, and thus the inner joint went bad within a few months. I told them several times that it was bad, and they told me that if it was then they would honor it. They instead told me that it was fine, but that I had to pay for an outer tie rod because it was bad and they couldnt align it. Paid for that, noise remains and I just deal with it. I take it in for an inspection a few more months later, they found some other things that needed replaced, but failed to mention anything about a tie rod being bad. Here I am just over a week later today after getting new tires (per their recommendation) so that I can get an alignment done again. I had the 12 month special, and they discovered that the lock nuts were loose when I was in there the week before (during to the alignment they did after replacing the boots, they did not tighten them, which is why it worked itself out of alignment so quickly in the first place). At this point they tell me that my inner joint is in fact bad, but that I am now liable. Its worth mentioning that the original alignment back in August was done because I replaced the entire steering rack, along with the tie rods. Nothing should have gone bad within 4 months, especially since my drive is 75% interstate with the cruise control set on straight, flat, Illinois roads. They admitted to this being their fault previously but told me that it wasnt a bad part until they simply could deny it no longer. I am replacing the parts myself (again), getting a free alignment for my troubles, and never setting foot in another Firestone again. I really liked their service and their courtesy up to this point, and their willingness to work with somebody who actually understands how a vehicle functions. However, being cheated crosses a line for me, and I will not tolerate that kind of business.

I took my car back to them to redo the alignment for the one-year warranty and they couldnt do it because their alignment rack said my car had blind-spot monitoring (which it doesnt.) Amazingly the Firestone off rt.30 in Joliet had no issues. At least they did the coolant flush properly.

A few days after getting my oil changed at this Firestone, I noticed a oil leak coming from the engine. Took the car back immediately to Firestone. One of their mechanics (Pedro) took no more than 5 minutes to look at the vehicle. After the inspection, Service Advisor named Jon told us that the leak was caused by a bad real main seal that needed to be replaced. Advised that it would be a 10 hour job because they would have to remove the transmission to get to the seal. Quoted the cost of the job at $1,569.23.Took the car to the dealership for a 2nd opinion. After a thorough 45 minutes inspection, was told that the problem was just a bad drain plug. They replaced the drain plug, gave me a free oil change and car wash. Charged me a diagnostic fee of $77.00.Lesson learned....stay aware from Firestone!

Went in today for an oil change, alignment and overall inspection of my vehicle. Scheduling was easy, and various times available that suited my needs. Service was prompt. The service guys were very professional and informed me of everything they were going to do to my vehicle, why it was being done and all suggested services. (Wipers, tail light was out and my treads were good!) They were not pushy, they didnt try to upsell me in frivolous work and kept everything very straight forward. They completed the work in the time frame they gave me aswell. I would definitely recommend them for service for your vehicle. Its not often that you find a shop that isnt pushy and trying to sell you things you dont need or understand.

Went in last minute on black friday, my odyssey van needed new tires desperately! I originally had an appointment at NTB in shorewood down the street at noon..it was a horrible experience! Decided to give Firestone a try, Kevin helped us immediately, he was courteous, heard us out, price matched NTB price, and had it done by 5pm same day. Dropped my truck off for a oil change and an alignment late Thursday night, told them I needed it back by 4:00pm on Friday. They said no problem. 3:00PM comes around and still no phone call. I called them and they said it would be ready by 4:00PM. 5:30PM comes and still no call. I call them and they say its ready.Saturday I go in voice my concerns and why I was upset to the manager, he immediately takes the charge of the oil change off. Always have a great experience every time I come here. Yes the price can be a bit high but you pay for good service. Their brake warranty is awesome. Ended up getting rotor and calipers covered. Yes the wait time can be crazy; but unless you plan on doing the work yourself you should expect to wait. The chick at the counter is very friendly and knowledgable. He mechanics are nice and its a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. They arent pushy with any of there services. This will be my regular stop for oil changes and services to come.

My engine temperature gauge began to indicate my engine was overheating while I was driving to my vacation. Id had a number of services performed on my car a little over a month prior, including replacing the thermostat. When I called the Shorewood location to let them know I was heading their way, Kevin was calm and patient with me on the phone, and he gave me excellent advice to turn the heat all the way up in my car, which kept the temperature gauge level. When I got there, he was understanding of my problem and prioritized my issue, because he knew I was basically stranded unless the car got fixed that day. Once it was identified that the issue was a faulty thermostat, Kevin explained what had likely gone wrong and even gave me the old thermostat. He acted very professionally, and I appreciate him pulling strings to get my car fixed quickly.

Ive gone to Firestone for a really long time but they severely rip off their customers. Over 400 dollars to just do rear brakes and for them to replace a lugnut on my tire. I went to a local place where I live and they charged me over 150 dollars less and it was great quality work. Seriously, do not go here for anything other than oil changes if you must.

I bought 4 tires in July. When I left & got on I-55 my car started to shake uncontrollably. When I got help, I found my front drivers tire only had 3 lug nuts tightened. I had broken off and the others could be turned with my fingers. What made me angriest was the managers attitude about it. Tried to say they were checked and were tight. That is hard to believe since I had only driven 5 miles!

I was quoted a battery for $129 over the phone. Danielle said they have it in stock come on in no wait. Get there..not in stock..but on the way...one hour wait. Not real happy, but no biggie...Ill run to Home Depot. I get back and while Im waiting just for fun I punch in make and model of car at the Firestone website. It comes back with a $99 battery on sale for $79 for my make and model. I walk back up to the counter to speak with Danielle about this and she says she just quoted the $129 because that is what they had in stock. lol...umm...you just told me you were out of stock and I had to wait an hour! She then tells me that they dont have that one anyway and the one I have been waiting on for an hour just arrived. Im too disgruntled at this point to care and just have them put the more expensive battery in. Awesome customer service.I suppose my mood got off on the wrong foot when talking to the mgr on duty (?) about doing a test to see why my 3 year old battery failed. He talked way over my head explaining what a certain test did for battery life apparently more impressed with how much he knew rather then explaining it to me in laymans terms I dont mind spending an extra $30...dont make me feel dumb because you have the car battery world figured out. When I asked if there is a test just to see if my battery is indeed dead he says..oh yeah...thats free...lol...thx.As Im sitting there I hear this same manager getting in a screaming match over the phone with a customers husband who thought he had purchased some sort of warranty in the past and why werent they honoring it...not sure what it was. The wife was a bit flabbergasted at this point and handed this manager the phone to talk with her husband. All I heard was this dude with the same attitude belittling him and said the people who gave it to him no longer work there and therefore he wouldnt honor whatever it was. Rather then taking care of what Im sure was a small charge and keeping someone happy...this dude decided to show who was boss. Obviously, the guy on the phone must of been a bit peeved as this manager threatened to hang up if he continued to swear at him. At this point the wife was visibly upset and started to walk out of the store. She and her husband thought they had purchased some sort of warranty...whatever it was...and were not going to pay. The manager then proceeded to follow her out of the store yelling at her that he was calling the cops. Right in front of 4 or 5 customers sitting in lobby watching all this.Oh well...lesson learned I guess. The only saving grace was the tech, Tim, who came and talked to me on a normal level about batteries, why mine died...etc. Well played guys...you lost this customer and Im sure a few others and who ever else they care to tell. I went in for a simple flat repair, they told me there would be a wait so I left the vehicle. Did not hear back from them for several hours. They told me they could not fix it because my tires were from 2008 which is irrelevant. They just wanted me to buy tires along with other services. Had they walked outside and actually looked at my tires like any other reputable company they could have told me they wont do it and I could have went elsewhere. But they wasted my day and made me late for class. Discount tire fixed it for free in under 20 min

Every visit has been satisfactory so far... I had my Durango in yesterday for nails in my tire (Road Hazard Covered) and to have the alignment corrected (Previous Lifetime Alignment). I find humor reading some of the negative reviews here. The salesman tried his best to drop the cost to me as much as possible. In the end; I happily paid for Road Hazard coverage on the replacement tire.We drive almost 10min extra verses the Mokena store out of preference...Theyre Honest Good People and provide GREAT Service!!!

Do not take modern cars to them. I bought four new tires and they broke the tire pressure monitoring system. I went back to them, then to an independent mechanic, and now to a Lexus dealership and am still trying to undo whatever they did.

Went in for alignment and r.f wheel hub & bearing. Cancelled the r.f hub bearing after they proposed a higher bill due to further problems with ABS sensor. Which they showed me a picture of but my car does not have ABS? My second concern was alignment my car drives straight but has premature tire wear to the rear tires -rear tires are cambered (inside edge wear). Upon picking up the vehicle i asked for the before and after alignment print out. They did not provide it to me. I have no way to verify if the work was done. I still see the rear tires are cambered out. I feel they were paid for a service they did not do. How can I trust them for any future repairs?UPDATE: 9/14/2019I stayed in touch with FS for a on going issue for warranty alignment and refund, I called on Monday September 9th, advised I will be able to bring my car in on Saturday 9/14 for refund for the alignment that was never done. I return to FS 601 Brook Forest Ave, Shorewood, IL 60404 store on 9/14 at 8:30 am CTS spoke to associate in the front, Who advise me Jeff the manager is on test drive and he will call me back later in the day? As soon as I get in my car leaving the parking lot (surprise) Jeff calls me!!!(he was at the store the whole time-I was LIED to AGAIN) Jeff tells me there will be no refund issued today he has to pull hard copies and call corporate, and get back to me at the end of the day. I ask him why is he giving me the run around- ALL of this was already discussed and cleared months ago!! and he was the one who told me to come back for the refund!!!!. YET He refused to give me the refund while I was in the store. I told him I dont have time for these games he is playing and had him re print the invoice for my records and left the store frustrated. I advised Jeff Manzanares store manager I am not coming back and if he wishes he can cut me a check for the refund the store owes me for the work that was never done.

This store always is busy. There is a reason for it obviously. The store manager Joe is a big contributor to our Shorewood town and local church. He truly cares about his community and you feel like you are at home when you are there as it always sems to be first name basis. I like supporting people who contribute to this great town!

I scheduled an appointment online for Friday at noon, get there and told me that they’re too busy and wouldn’t be able to get my car in for it’s oil change and tire rotation for at least 45mins and not sure how long the appt would actually take after that! I made an appointment for a reason!!!! Ridiculous and had me reschedule for the following day. I ended up cancelling bc clearly if that would have worked for me, I would have scheduled a Saturday appt originally!That’s not good customer service at all! Thanks for being honest that you’re too busy but for those who make appts that’s bad business! You make and schedule a time for a reason

My car was making a chirping sound and I was positive it was a bad tensioner or pulley - the manager Jeff Manzanares found that I only needed a new belt installed and he did it for a reasonable rate, as well as super FAST. Awesome service and great crew! I recommend this business.

Went in for an alignment with a lowered car. Had an aftermarket panhard bar, springs, shocks, and struts. My car is a solid rear axle so alignment cant really be adjusted on the rear. I went in for a rear alignment thinking they would center my axle And adjust the panhard bar. Ha nope. They charged me $85 for absolutely nothing. Even after I told them it was aftermarket. When I called the next day saying nothing was different, they told me they dont touch aftermarket parts and that a panhard bar adjustment is not part of a usual alignment . But. The manager offered me a refund with no hassle.

Went to get 4 new tires had the truck for 8 hours was the first one in the shop at 8 am with an appointment, Next day had a flat tire took the truck back to Firestone never put the stem valve cover on. Lug nut came up miss there answer was it wasnt there. Will guess what they knocked though and it ruined the hand brake( more money) never did a wheel alignment or balanced the tires ( but paid for it), In one week I have been back 4 time and still not done right. The discounted that they gave me has now cost 4 time the savings. The daughter has the same thing with her new tires was in for a oil change on Sunday ask to check the tires the light was on they said they did next day had a flat.Had to have the car tow back to Firestone because the lug nuts was on so tight. This will make you laugh the salesman said I top your oil off you was a quart of oil down. How was this possible went i just have the oil changed yesterday! Answer was the weather was to cold( they must think Im stupid.). Firestone you will not see me again or my family and friends!!!!!!!

Firestone Auto Care in Shorewood performed a tire install on new wheels 05/19/15.The price was more than fair, the quality of work was excellent, and the manager Joe Kunstman was extremely helpful. He really took the time to resolve a clearance issue between the new wheel and brake caliper.I recommend this shop to anyone looking to have suspension work performed.

Very bad experience. Went for oil change and tyre air check. They did oil change, but came to me with broken tpms sensors. Without buying I cant take my car out because tyre was totally flat. There is no way I need to buy the new tpms sensors. They just want get business from people like this way, they know how to trap people. Nobody to stop them. There is need to be a low to watch their activities.

I specifically chose this location because I read reviews that Joe, the manager, is a good guy. And not to mention, the tow truck driver said he knows Daylin, another manager, Im told. I thought, Wow! This may turn out to be a not so scary experience after all!Turns out Daylin is the guy who is working on my truck, but maybe its because we have yet to meet face-to-face (weve only talked on the phone) that Im not feeling so good about the level of service. So I had my brother call (its so unfortunate that female customers have to get a guy involved when it comes to auto repairs). On the second call Daylins whole disposition was different.Anyway, I hope to have a good experience and will be able to write another review afterwards that is more glowing (and results in 5 stars).
