Be very cautious of this company! I ordered this battery and requested for it to be installed by affiliated mechanic. They delivered the item to my home which is on a pallet and extremely heavy. In their shipping form comments it mentions I have a forklift, which I dont especially at my residence. Furthermore, they expected me to lift the extremely heavy battery into my car and take it to the mechanic. They also provided incorrect contact information for affiliated mechanic. Extremely highly suspicious behavior with poor customer service. Im writing this review as a big warning for others.

I dont know how it could have been better. I researched, then purchased from Best Hybrid batteries a few weeks ago. The battery, with DIY instructions, arrived a few days later. I gave the instructions to a local mechanic who works on my cars. He said hed never done it, but was game to try. It took him less than 2 hours to do it and the vehicle now runs perfectly.The total cost all in was several thousand dollars less that Toyota quoted for the battery and labor. Seriously.

Had a major issue with my 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid traction battery.Called Best Hybrid Batteries, talked to Mike.Im way out in California.....not a big deal to Mike. He shipped the battery out on a pallet ( E mailed me the tracking number ).........then supplied me with the return tracking number to return my injured battery.I bought this car new and was aware a couple of years ago the traction battery was not moving the car like it used to....I wish I had called Mike back then. With Mikes replacement battery, Im getting almost 10 mpg more and the take offs from a stop light are night and day from before. I honestly feel I can’t speak highly enough of Best Hybrid Batteries. Just over 30 days ago now my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid battery died. I had almost 260,000 miles on it and 13 years! After consulting a local Toyota dealer and some local car repair shops and discovering my estimates were between $3900 and $5800 with a year or so warranty to replace it, I was going to call it quits on my car until I did a google search for replacement hybrid batteries. That’s when I discovered Best Hybrid Batteries.I read all the customer reviews, spoke at length with the company owner, Mike, and within a day had an appointment at my house in Toledo where the installer arrived within 15 minutes of his scheduled time! Where the local places here said it would take 2.5 to 3.5 hours to do, took this installer 1 hour! He even went for a 20 minute test drive with me.It’s been 30 days today since the replacement and my car is running wonderfully. Im averaging 39 mpg as compared to 30 mpg!EDIT: Its now been about 10 months with my new battery. Over the summer I average 38 to 39 mpg. Now that Im in the cold weather, its been a little lower. This tank was around 37 to 38mpg. Just an FYI, the performance of all hybrid batteries is also tied to what gas you use. There were a few times I got gas that wasnt very high quality and only got 34 to 35 mpg. I try to stick with Shell, Mobil, Sunoco, etc and just do regular unleaded with them. Usually its ok. I will continue to post in this as time goes on for those interested. My next entry will hopefully be at the 1 year mark at the end of February.EDIT: Its now been 1 year since I had my hybrid battery replaced in my 2007 Camry Hybrid. I am averaging in this February 23 degree weather about 36 miles to the gallon which is great for this time of the year in my car. Im still thankful for finding this company and for my car still running too! :)

I bought a battery about 18 months ago from Best Hybrid Batteries. The battery had some issues with some of the cells and I by car could barely run. Luckily for me, my battery was still under warranty. I called Best Hybrid battery and reported the issue. I was scheduled 3 days to take my car so that a technician can take a look at it. The issue was diagnosed and fixed immediately. There is nothing more than a service that is professional and honored by a business. I recommend Best Hybrid Battery.

The company was very cooperative and helpful. I had my Honda Accord Hybrid batteries reconditioned so Im not sure if they will last longer or not. I have not seen any improvement in my gas mileage, but that was not promised. I just hope that the batteries last longer than they may have if I didnt condition. Ill never really know for sure. At least Best Hybrid gave me a certificate I can show a potential buyer of my car that I had this service done.

Its obvious these guys do this a lot and concentrate on doing it well for their customers. The whole experience went well from delivery, install, and core return. The refurbished replacement battery brought the car back to like-new performance. It had only been about 4 months, so too soon to comment on longevity, but happy so far.

Great service. Ordered a battery for a 2002 Prius with the newer cells in it and got it very fast and it has been performing flawlessly for 6+ months. After installation and putting 50 miles on it and checking all the cell voltages they were all within three tenth of a volt so the pack was balanced very well. Very pleased with the service thus far.

I came in to pick up a new battery for a DIY-install on my 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid... but theyre putting it in for free! Ill now have some extra time, without any risk of electrocution. WOOT. 🙂If youre another local who wants to buy in person, just know that this place is definitely industrial and a bit tough to find when you first drive into its warehouse/garage-park location. The building is the first on the right and the door is closest to the road, but the Best Hybrid Batteries sign doesnt actually face the road so you could drive right on by.

I called everywhere trying to arrange to get a battery. The folks at best hybrid battery were very kind to me I was short a couple hundred dollars and they said they would cancel the core charge and send it to me as long as I gave them my word I would send the old battery back. I looked up a YouTube video and installed the battery myself I have had it in my car about a month. My car is running like it used to the check engine and battery light is off and I couldnt be happier with my purchase at best hybrid batteries

I did save a bunch of money buying online. The service was great. After the first place said they would not install it they found a back up for me. The one thing they did not tell me is the computer would need to be reset. For this I would have to take it back to the dealer. It cost me $150! Reducing the total savings but still way less than the dealer.

My Prius developed a problem with the hybrid battery pack after 100 kmiles and I did not want to pay the high cost for dealer replacement! Best Hybrid Batteries made a house call and installed in 45 in. a reconditioned pack that has been working nicely. The service fellow was very courteous and answered all my questions (which were many, as I am an engineer). This appears to be a good solution! Its not cheap but I think has good value.

This past Wednesday my Prius battery was on the fritz the dealer told my wife it would cost around 4400 dollars to fix but that it might not be worth it to fix the car because my car was worth less than the repair instead they tried to steer her toward a new car. So i did a google search an found Best hybrid batteries in Joliet, I gave them a call not thinking they would fix my car on memorial day weekend and specially since i was in Indiana but to my surprise they came out on Sunday and changed the battery within an hour. My 2005 Prius with 130k miles battery started acting up. Took to Toyota and $3100, another place in town $2100, both places said it would be a 4 hour job. Shipment took longer then I expected but it was because it was sitting in Honolulu with trucking company for 2 weeks and they did not know my phone. Battery is working good as of now.

I did not get answers to my questions and it is not the best place to go cuz If you drive a lot battery dies every 3,4 months and they might tell you it is commercial vehicle and warranty only for 1y and they dont have extended warranty too. Replace the battery cost a lot with no warranty.

My 2005 Prius failed emissions (code P0A80 - Replace Hybrid Battery Pack). The dealer quoted me $3500 to fix it (about what the car is worth), Mike drove out 70 miles to my house and fixed it in my driveway for about a third of that price in about an hour (and with the same warranty on his work that the dealer was offering). He was helpful and professional throughout the process and completed all the paperwork for my emissions re-test. I will definitely call Mike again if this (or my next Prius) needs a new battery.

Recently the hybrid battery on our 2005 Prius started started showing signs of weakness, and we checked on replacement costs with our Toyota dealer. On May 7 my 2005 Prius displayed the usual replace battery signals. After researching several places for replacement of the hybrid battery with prices ranging from $1900 to $3600 I discovered Best Hybrid Batteries, which also provides hybrid battery repair services. Mike explained the repair process they use and the options available depending on what his analysis of the batterys condition.I took the vehicle to Best Hybrid Batteries about 10 days after the first indicator lights displayed and by May 21 (two weeks after I first experienced the indicators) I had a completely restored and rebalanced battery and a vehicle that worked better than when I first bought it at a cost that was truly a fraction of the other options I had explored. The mileage I received on the return trip from the Best Hybrid Batteries shop was around 58 mpg which far exceeded anything I had experienced prior to that time. In the two months that have followed I am seeing mileages that in the range of 4-5 mpg higher than before the repair work.I really appreciate the fact that Best Hybrid Batteries takes the time to analyze the condition of the hybrid battery and advise which cells need replacement or those cells that are near needing replacement. This is a huge advantage compared to simply replacing the hybrid battery with a reconditioned battery or a brand new battery, which seems to be the only alternative offered by dealers. Our 2008 Honda Civic Hybrids hybrid battery started to fail quite suddenly and being in Canada I already knew that there werent any tech businesses nearby where we could get a rebuilt/refurbished hybrid battery. I had seen one business near a hotel we were staying at in 2014 on the American East Coast, so I knew they were available. Our local Honda Dealership wasnt very helpful plus we had just put our car up for sale before the Winter. I searched on the Internet and found Best Hybrid Batteries and then I did my homework. I also phoned Mike Bradley, the owner, several times and each time I got a very good answer to my many questions. Our Honda was the 2nd Generation Civic Hybrid and I was informed that that car was a particularly easy vehicle to do the swap out of the battery....perhaps 45 minutes to an hour. I ordered the battery but had it delivered to Mikes Parcel Pick-Up in Pembina, N.D. The Fedex costs of shipping direct to Winnipeg was in the $500+ range and the Fedex Return cost to and from Pembina was around $80.00. Pembina is only 60 miles South of Winnipeg. Our experience was 100% positive with Best Hybrid Batteries. Ive never done something like this myself but I do like the experience of doing something new and having it work out really well. We had no trouble at the Canada-USA Border. Prior to crossing into the USA I stopped at the Canadian Customs to tell them what I was going to do and then asked them what could I expect upon my return. Everything went well. I paid my PST & GST and went home. I swapped out the battery referencing the steps provided by Best Hybrid Batteries and took all their precautionary advice 100%. Had I known how easy it was to do I might have changed the battery out while in Pembina had the weather been nicer. Upon the new installation the car worked just like new. I would highly recommend doing the same thing to anybody faced with the same problem. Once the old battery was repackaged into the shipping box we drove back down to Pembina and then applied for a partial PST/GST refund on $500.00 USD that we got for the core when Best Hybrid Batteries got our original hybrid battery back.

My 2002 Toyota Prius hybrid battery was dead, dealer said it would cost around $3100 to replace the battery. I have checked other repair shops and checked online the least price of a used battery is around $1500 + labor. I thought of selling my car and posted my add in craigslist. My experience with Best Hybrid Batteries was outstanding! After a great deal of blog reading about replacing the Prius hybrid battery, I found a recommendation for them in a comment for one of the blogs.I loved the fact that there was enough info. on the website to answer my initial questions. And, they had a phone number that connected me to a very knowledgable technician who talked me through some more specific questions.The deal-makers for me were the cost compared to other online companies, the warranty compared to other online companies, the 6 month free financing through PayPal, the personal phone service, and quick, personal installation service in my own garage!There is nothing negative about this company. I would encourage everyone to use them.

Our 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid, 5-speed, which has been a very good car for us, came up with the IMA warning message. So, we looked into the best way for us to take care of the problem. The dealership would have charged us over $3,200.00 to replace the IMA battery pack WITH A REFURBISHED PACK(!) and a one-year 50,000 mile warranty. Best Hybrid Batteries offered a refurbished IMA pack, installed, and a 3-year unlimited mileage warranty for about half what the dealer wanted. We went with Best Hybrid Batteries, met Michael Bradley at the shop in Shorewood, IL, had the work done in their friendly and helpful operation, and we have been very pleased with the results. The price was good for a rebuilt hybrid battery for my 2004 Honda Civic hybrid. Unfortunately, Im on my 3rd battery in 3 months. My original purchase was in early Dec 2015. They keep replacing the battery (which they should), but the warranty doesnt lengthen any from the first battery purchase date. Also, every time the IMA light came on, I was the one running around town looking for parts stores who could read the IMA codes. Went to 3 stores, and when they came to replace the battery they couldnt pull the same codes. I was hoping after all the hassle they would at least give me a brand new 8.5 amp battery or some sort of compensation for all the headache but never happened. In the end, I dont feel like I was taken care of very well so that is why I am giving 2 stars.
