This place has very fresh vegetables and fruits with an enormous variety of all cooking powders, flour, fresh spices, pasta and much much more. This is basically a small grocery store. You can always count on fully stocked fresh goods at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be doing my shopping here more often! Parking is the only con, but as the store is a convenient stop, many people are in and out quickly.

Why do we have to leave at least one star...I went shopping at Patel Brothers in Shrewsbury Today, I couldnt believe how much it was today when the lady at the register told me the amount., so when I got home I weighed my vegetables and I found that the veggies that were charged by the Pound weighed  less than what I was charged, and  some vegetables that were supposed to be by the pound were charged by unity. Not to mention that I was charged $1.99 per lb. for Bananas, NOT any special Bananas or organic, simple, regular  bananas, I would be crazy to buy Bananas at $1.99 per pound.  and $5.99 for peaches. Everything that had a sign per unity was charged by the  Pound .  And the Lady at the register was Rude, throwing everything in the paper bags like if i was less than her.  My experience there was Horrible. Not coming back in there anymore. If i have to pay a Dollar for each small green pepper, better buy at the regular grocery store where i pay much less. And the people are nice to customers I was Also  charged twice for Garlic. I Advise everyone to check their receipts before leaving the parking lot or the store. That Store used to be Good! Now its a nightmare!

Ive been shopping here for over 10 years. They have an extensive selection of Indian foods and groceries. Their prices are extremely competitive. More recently, theyve even started stocking middle eastern foods. Their produce section is not extensive but routinely carry Indian vegetables like okra, various seasonal gourds, white pumpkin, drumsticks etc.But most importantly - the people who run the place are incredible. Ive seen them deal with difficult customers with tack and poise! They kept the place running smoothly even in the middle of the pandemic in 2020; we could text out grocery list to the lady who runs the place, and your cart would be ready for pick up at some point later in the day depending on how busy they were.

Thuhur abd Asar is likely close please if you are traveling dont rely on it.

A small Indian supermarket selling all kinds of groceries. The veggies are especially cheap and price worthy!! The green onions, kale, squash, tomato, parsley and etc are all of really good prices.

Fresh groceries but they dont have convenient parking options

One of the best grocery store in town! Their produce are fresh, good selection and well priced. Good selection of spices and frozen roti.The staffs are super friendly, nice and fast! It is officially became one of our go-to grocery store in Shrewsbury!

Prices keeps increasing. In comparison to items available in other indian stores, prices here are 2-3 times. Upon asking we get all sorts of explanations which dont make sense mostly.

I am a regular goer to this shop, but last time one incident happened to me, I was getting my stuff billed and decided not to get one frozen vegetable packet and kept it aside on the cashier belt, the cashier lady immediately asked me to put it back in the refrigerator. I went back to keep the frozen veggie packet and came back, as soon as I came back she had scanned all my stuff and asked me pay which I paid through my debit card. I noticed my bill was higher than I expected and took a look at the bill and found she had billed my 20 lbs basmati rice packet twice. I had only 3 items including the rice bag and she billed it twice. I cannot imagine this happened by mistake, though I got back my money back but would advise all to check bills.

An excellent local store for Indian style groceries. With a wide selection of fresh and frozen foods, this is the perfect place to shop for things you cant find at your average supermarket. A must have for any Indian family that often needs spices and vegetables that cannot be found elsewhere.

Absolutely amazing collection of Indian food and groceries. You can get anything from coffee to spices to Staples to coconut water. Reminds me of a supermarket in India. Prices are reasonable if not better than other Indian stores. Occasionally there are certain items on sale which give you a really great deal. I would go there every week if only I stay near this. Staff is helpful too.

We could find all Indian groceries here. All the items are categorized and stacked well. The price is reasonable.We traveled nearly 100 miles to reach this store. Hence, we bought three to four month groceries together. It is better to check for the expiry date of the items.

The variety of options is good, pricing is cheap if compared to most of the Indian markets in Worcester.The store is small, but you can find the most Indian craved brands for sure. location is also good for easy reachability. The parking here is small, so you have to park in common areas if the parking in front of the gate is full.As it is not as big, the entrance/exit gets congested even by one vehicle.

This is the best place around to get Indian food. Very fresh and reasonably priced products. Keep it up!

This place has everything you need for an excellent meal. Teas, spices, all kinds of rice, fresh fruits and vegetables. All at extremely reasonable prices!

Enough stock of Indian items. Groceries, vegetables and different food stuff and other items are available in varities. Located centrally in Boston, over main street, easy to access. More or less sufficient parking space.

I really like their selection of nuts and dry fruit, which is never stale. They also have real healthy alternatives of rotis and chapatis for diabetics instead of the preservative laden options available elsewhere. That being said, the layout still feels pretty cramped even after the expansion, and they rarely have enough staff at checkout, which results in long lines.

The Indian people shopping there always park in terrible places like directly in the entrance as your turning in from route 9. For some reason they simply cant fathom why thats not ok. That is a regular thing here but if you can get past that, the Indian people have a nasty habbit of staring way to long or being plain rude or overly confident for no reason. Maybe its just me.... Oh wait no, its totally them. I would not recommend shopping at Patel Brothers unless what I mentioned above doesnt bother you.

Public Parking is available at the front and back of the store but, can be tight during peak hours (evening or weekend).

Great produce section. Best Ive seen for any Asian/Indian store from Springfield to Worcester. After that, well stocked with everything else you could ever need for making authentic Asian/Indian cooking. Well lit, friendly staff and no offensive odors like at Mekong.

Arguably the leaders of Indian stores in USA. This one at Shrewsbury MA is easy to spot and reach on the junction on highway.Vegetables were very fresh and good quality. Even the cost was tad lower than most other Indian stores including some other Patel brothers stores as well in MA.Most grocery items were adequately available in arranged and easy to locate setup. Basmati rice, oil, pulses most of these items were $1-2 less than other similar stores

Has good fresh veggies, lots of variety. Patel has a lot of competition these days with India market close by etc. I go there for the handmade parathas, mixture and the fresh veggies. The rest of the items are comparable to any other Indian store like spices hut, or India market. Im seeing that veggie prices are slowly going up. So far the quality still makes up for it. If the Prices go up further, then you might as well go to the Indian store that is closer to your home.

Im a huge fan of Patel Brothers: great prices, clean, delicious food, and a much bigger selection than you would expect. After the expansion, they have a fresh section, and a good amount of frozen food. The best place to get spices, rice, and incense.

Its a nice place for grocery shopping, its got variety of options for vegitarian and Vegan food. Indian subcontinent products also is a specialty for the the store.

They carry all basic Indian groceries, they have fresh produce section, competative prices, sometimes you wont find what you are looking for as a lot of stuff is in the bottom racks and need to ask the employees, make sure you talk to the people at the cash register they know where the stuff is, the employees stocking sometimes are not aware. Sometimes parking could be an issue, so try going in from lake street entrance.
