The employees are very professional and friendly. I received amazing customer service and they truly care about the customer. They gave me great advice about how to properly pack my stuff. The Store managers even took the time to explain the benefits of getting insurance (which I usually don’t get). My entire time in extra space storage the employees and manager really helped me out significantly as a first time mover and storage user, they really made me feel comfortable and valued as a customer.

My entire experience with Extra Space Storage from start to finish has been great! I really appreciated the time and effort that manager Kyrah took to show me around the different unit types. After a goof on my part of booking the space before I was ready to move in Kyrah gave me a grace period to follow up to confirm the unit. Once I was ready, we took care of everything over the phone and I moved in the next day. Its been smooth sailing since then!

I live close by, so this facility is very convenient. When I need to remove or add an item, its a quick walk. Its more expensive than some other places, but the location and the fact that its climate controlled are major pluses. The employees are top-notch. I was a customer for about 10 years, and the service was always good. I recommend Extra Space Storage, and especially the Newell Street center.

After I reserved my space, she contacted me within minutes to help me set up my account, and when I needed to purchase additional supplies she was very patient and informative— which was a relief considering how much I loathe the moving process. Considering, among other things, the state of the world right now, with COVID-19, I really enjoyed working with Kyah!

It was easy and a good price. I didnt have any problems accessing my stuff and anytime I needed to the loading area was usually available. Most importantly none of my stuff was damaged and the place was clean and pest free.

This is a great facility! The storage units were clean and very well maintained. The temperature in the storage area was appropriately cooled on a very warm day, and the service is by far the best Ive received from any storage company. The representative I worked with, Alberto, was more than helpful, taking the time to walk me through multiple storage units so that I could make an informed decision. He was not only knowledgeable, but honest and forthright with his opinion.It was a genuine pleasure doing business with the staff at this Extra Storage. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Downtown Silver Spring area.

Had a great interaction with Michael, who showed us units of various sizes to help us determine which dimensions were the most appropriate for our storage needs. For us it was partly a choice between a single-floor facility here (meaning no need to wait for an elevator) and pricing that when we checked it was somewhat cheaper at another facility in the area. Consider bringing a lock (to secure your unit) and the declarations page of your residential insurance policy (if you want to avoid having to use a new policy brokered by Extra Space to fulfill the insurance requirement).

Extra Space Storage in in Silver Spring is fantastic. Their representative was courteous and helpful. He explained the pricing system to me and showed me all of the different space options available. My paperwork was processed quickly and the whole process from me arriving with an SUV full of stuff from my basement to me renting space, unloading & walking out the door took 25 minutes tops. Satisfying experience.

Very professional and made the booking process an easy one.Update 8/24: Today I came in and Kyrah was dismissive and condescending and treated me like a nuisance when I came with two questions. I was fine with being denied the use of the restroom given the circumstances and public health disaster but I was not fine with being treated like a nuisance and bother when trying to find out the process to downsize my storage needs. I guess the nicities are just for new customers only.

Alberto made getting into the unit easy. Reasonable rate for a 5x5 unit. Carts with wheels to help with transport. Easy parking in front of the building. Dont forget to bring your own lock- they have them for a small fee but I wish I had brought my own!

I spent over 12 hours driving and explained to the manager I would be arriving after office hours but he ensured I had all the instructions for accessing the property when I arrived! The location of the property is convenient and very accessible! I recommend this property if you’re searching for safe and convenient storage in the Silver Spring area!
